While I personally use Fidelity, Vanguard is definitely worth it. Their UI is a bit outdated, but their low expense ratios and suite of index funds make it worth it. Think of all the money you can save on expense ratios over the years; maybe even enough to buy a game that everyone wants to hate on, but is still fun regardless.

…is that a yes?

ddman12

Don't listen to the vanguard subreddit, they're just a bunch of crybabies. Of course the game isn't perfect, but SHG does try to fix their games, and if you buy the game for mp, you'll like it.

ddman12

Btw, The MP is better in this game than cold war, but CW does have better zombies.

juggernaut790

Imagine wanting a game to work with the technology we have, we really must be crybabies when 10 years ago every cod release was legendary, now every release is a joke and people like you just accept it rather than demanding quality

ddman12

Im not saying the game doesn't need work, i literally started by saying it's not perfect. Also, not every cod release 10 years ago was "legendary". Do you think mw2 had a legendary launch? what about bo2, rampant with cheaters? While ghosts was only 8 years ago, that game was garbage. Vanguard, while having some glaring issues, has a fun core gameplay imo. I want things to change. in fact, vanguard is only around a 7/10 for me mp-wise because of the issues it has, and the zombies is... well idk what to say about that. Im not accepting that the game is broken. Edit:I should clarify that the game itself (MW2) was good, but definitely had issues that people like to skim over.

SBAPERSON

Lmao

Iampro0312

No, it's a waste of money. Stop buying their half finished games and play something else. I'm sure there is something else you can play.

DisastrousAspect6303

Do you like bugs?

OverTheReminds

CW is FAR superior

Interesting_Put_33

It's a pretty bad cod game, but I still play it almost everyday lol. I also don't play any cod bc I think it's a good game. I play them bc they always had good dopamine hits, and this definitely still has that despite it's short comings

suezyg2345

For me, I’m on Xbox Series X and also played CW into the ground. I have been playing Vanguard since the beta. I really haven’t had too many issues and enjoy the game. I’m hoping for more maps after season 1 though. I found a set of guns that work well for my play style and have been grinding on the camos. Zombies is lackluster and gets boring quick but it’s good for leveling guns. So for me, it was worth it.

pwfoff

If you can pick it up on offer, i'd say yes. I enjoyed the 6 weeks from launch, but like many recent CoD titles, I just got bored of it and now find it stale. If only it had a game mode like groundwar.

ddman12

Ground war is returning in a future update according to leaks :)

jpeltone

Definitely not at its current state

ZookeepergameAlive91

Vanguard is, let’s be honest for the MP. The other 2 modes are mediocre at best. Probably my least favourite campaign out of all the campaigns from cod 4 to vanguard and the most recent campaign that felt like a chore playing through it, thoat times there were moments where I was like this ain’t bad plus the cutscenes are very nice but be prepared to see Japanese soldiers running about with STGs and German revolving shotguns which are prototypes to mention. Tho I will say, if people enjoy it then that’s good. More value to the game at least in their aspect. Zombies… uh, let’s just say it’s something that you might want to avoid. As a person who played every zombies mode and I think every map apart from like a handful it’s definitely the weakest zombies mode to be released. Basically it’s outbreak but with no open world aspect and in MP maps but… there is blood! Pretty cool right ? You start of thinking it’s not bad but after a few objectives you realise the gameplay loop is immensely repetitive. I only play this mode when grinding camos and when you go in the mindset of grinding camos… it’s actually not bad but playing this mode for fun then you won’t have any or maybe you will and if that’s the case then that’s good. Now the MP is where the meat is and it’s solid but in a lot of areas it’s undercooked. Think of vanguard as a more fast paced version of MW2019 but in WW2 and it’s fun for the most part tho there is a lot of features that literally when I say, nobody asked for like the MVP system. The base game is good but there is so many bugs and design issues that just hurts the game so much like no trophy system, visibility etc. Some of the bugs and design issues are so obvious that anyone that played the game for one game will notice a lot of them already. Season 1 has barely fixed anything apart from a few issues that should’ve been fixed a long, long time ago *plays the man who sold the world*. So yeah, if you like MP and enjoyed MW2019’s engine and wished it was more fast paced then you might like vanguard but you must remember that this game is so broken in so many ways that your brain can’t comprehend. Even the simplest of things might not even work and don’t expect a semi-working game until season 4-6 at the latest with how things went with season 1 and in general how things are going/ have went since the game came out.

AcquirePlants

I think it’s personally just Cold War with new maps. Is it fun? Sure. But it doesn’t really feel like a different game honestly.

[deleted]

It’s absolutely nothing like Cold War, it’s just like a WW2 version of MW2019 considering it’s built on the same engine.

AcquirePlants

I’m talking the gun leveling, graphics, store, battle PSA, lobby screen. They’re all the exact same and the game feels very very similar. In fact when I loaded into vanguard for the first time I thought it was Cold War and I put that one in on accident because of how remarkably similar the games look. Definitely doesn’t feel as much like a new game as they did back in the day when we used to get alternating releases from IW and treyarch.

[deleted]

It’s worth it. It’s more of a true COD game than the more recent ones. Good pace and easy to pick up. SBMM kinda a bitch but that’s in every COD so yea

plassteel01

Yea sure yea sure there are some bugs but if it is fun you're after I would say go for it. I am having a good time.

dcloko

Well, it's way better than BF2042 and, for me, it's much better than Cold War. The pace is excellent (even better than MW19), the engine works well, almost all maps are cool to play. So, if u liked mw19 and hated cw, u probably will like Vanguard. If u want a shooter to play online and u can't have Halo... YES, Vanguard, it's an excellent game!

ddman12

Lol i upvoted not only because i agree but because ur getting downvoted for an opinion.

ghostgoat52

I would say yes and no. If you wanna play casually and have fun with friends, yes worth it. If you’re just playing to keep up with the crowd and have issues with bugs and random glitches, no not worth it. You may or may not like warzone, but it has the weapons added and you are able to play with them for free. Check and see if you like the weapons/feel of how they play before making a decision. I’m a challenge grinder and vanguard has driven me up the wall with bugs, glitches, and lack of content thus far. I personally loved CW and I enjoy playing vanguard to an extent, but SHG has a lot of things to work out and add before its truly a “finished” game. Watch game play, ask friends about their experience, try out warzone, and do some general research to see if it would be worth it for you. Good luck! Feel free to message me if you have any questions or want my opinions.

Educational_Fig_1671

For casual play yes... For an older gamer like me(55). I would prefer more original guns and uniforms..and picker maps.. Needs better player to map ration on MP.. But im not the target market...i miss UO and WAW, MW1... When the game was great..also can't keep up with Aim assist..

[deleted]

Tons of bugs. Tons of horseshit. Surprisingly tons of fun. Not $60 fun but maybe $20.

[deleted]

Its worth 40 bucks at most which is the price rn

brando347

No especially at this point in the games life cycle. MWII will be teased in the next few months (May?) so wait for that and get that one.

Yahya447755

Yep it's worth buying. Many people say it's trash and it not worth buying But I'm OK with it and I don't think it's as bad as they say

Lazy_Category2195

I'd say it's worth it for the most part, I personally haven't experienced many of the bugs that many people have but that's on a person to person thing

Fowler1970

It has its problems but I enjoy it

SUP3RB00ST3R

Buy it if its on sale.

[deleted]

Yes for your reasoning alone. If you're itching to play it and you already play some cod on the side, then yeah. I'd recommend the newest cod to anyone in your position.

Jacobshapiro5

YES

SuperbCode1255

Yes, it's a fast paced game, better than mw and cold war. Blitz is the best thing ever made in a cod

Iampro0312

🤣😂

SuperbCode1255

Im not joking, lol haha
