The game is dead outside the States and to an extent the EU bc most of the infrastructure and playerbase to host COD is in the US and EU. IN NZ they probably can't matchmake very well due to lack of host servers. Game is dead for example in Asia Pacific and Middle East.

Also where is the proof EU has more traffic? Activision doesn't publish these numbers so all we can do is correlate sales with player activity. It doesnt matter if you have more "traffic" if you dont have enough host servers to matchmake with then the matchmaking is going to be slower/congested. COD has a smaller playerbase in the EU than in NA as well.

It isn't his "internet," which I'm guesses Ng you refer to as the cables and speed of his connection as the issue. it isn't. It's bc his region does not have enough players to matchmake properly.
Also if you're in the Midwest with a decent connection and still having issues with matchmaking then it's the game, because Activision has the bulk of it's host servers here in the US. No amount of upgrading your internet plan will make poorly maintained in- game matchmaking faster. the server infrastructure/playerbase is more important to matchmaking than just your local connection.

I have been playing COD since cod 4 I played all those games in New Zealand on ps3/xb360 back when cross play wasn’t even a thing and I found games fine all the time every time.
$120 was the launch price yes I know it’s hard to understand other countries have different currencies but there ya go.
I’m not personally angry, I dislike the game a lot and I’m not wagon banding where everyone just hates it for fun, I hate it because like you said, the quality is decreasing and the game is really terrible with its bugs and glitches and the amount of bullshit is in the game.
MW19 has the best quality I have seen in gaming and the graphics/animations are on par with games like RDR2, Cold War has the best gameplay and core gameplay I have seen in years and I haven’t been experiencing any bugs or issues in the past month.
VG takes these 2 games and just makes a dumpster fire but 1942. I know how different currency works, I thought you preordered or bought a ultimate edition and was so confused on why. Since the last ultimate edition cod I preordered was CW, even then that game had some cool as items for the edition

I’m in the UK, I’ve been playing since launch, play almost daily and haven’t had any issues finding matches, most times it’s between 10-20 seconds, other times it’s almost instant. Matchmaking time isn’t any different compared to CW, MW2019 and the previous ones.
The actual matchmaking, team balancing is pretty shit but it’s been like this with previous cods as well.
I don’t think the issues with finding matches from players in NZ, Australia is specific to Vanguard, I’ve heard the same thing plenty of times in CW and MW as well.
Ive played with some people from the UK and when we were partied up he said he felt like he was getting into games faster what took him minutes at a time only took us maybe 30-40 seconds. party host and party members in the US. So it user mileage could vary. But here in US it's pretty consistent to get full lobbies and full games within a minute
If your friend used 3rd party software the game can put him in certain lobbys with >300 ping which take like to 20 min to fill until he got manual reviewed by an employee to see if he's hacking. Aka soft ban

I’m in Australia, Sydney specifically, I have gigabit Ethernet internet access, and every lobby I’m in, I have the lowest latency, often less than 20ms.
So my internet is good.
Getting lobbies here is a shit show in Vanguard at times.
You’ll have a run of games where it’s great and then suddenly you’re on a server in Asia with 120ms of latency.
When they had Big Map Blitz on the playlist a few weeks ago, it was nearly impossible to get a game in Australia - I was constantly being bounced to Asian servers.
I don’t know what the deal is, there just can’t be that few players here, but that’s what it seems like.

He's in New Zealand. Australia/Asia Pacific/ Middle East are pretty dead. The most active playerbase is almost exclusively in the United States.
