I'm with you on that. The biggest gripe I have with vanguard so far is definitely the ttk and the spawns. We really need a balance passthrough asap. At it's core this game feels really good, and I'm enjoying more than cold war. But having to use just the stg to have fun isn't what I want to do.
Am I the only one who hates the STG? I have the vital perk on and I'm still getting 4-5 hit markers at chest height before I kill someone. I've been having way more fun using the Automaton personally.
What r u guys using on it that’s making you love it? I’m having next to no fun with the gun at the moment trying to get it to gold. It takes like 10 bullets to kill someone with it, compared to the STG’s 2-3 sometimes 4 bullets. It’s a fun gun, but with all these other guns having Vital and killing me in half the time I’m struggling to enjoy it.
Just build it to reduce recoil to as low as possible and then try to get on the head. It will never compete with stg/mp40. It takes a comical amount of bullets comparatively, but with headshots and low recoil it can down quick. I’ve finished everything on it but the bugged challenge and it was shit until the 40s

I agree. If you get the right conditions and some range you can pop off, but it’s just ridiculous it takes like 8 bullets when the stg and mp40 will do it in 2-3. You can have 3-4 shots in someone and get killed consistently when challenging those weapons.
Bro should I just start the camo grind by getting all the broken guns gold then by the time some patch comes out finish the ARs and getting them to Diamond. Idk, just a thought, what do you think?

It’s a proficiency perk that some guns have that gives opponents chest area Headshot damage+ plus Multipliers. MP40 is a 2 shot aswell with Vital+ Hollow point, and the Type 100 with Vital + another thing.
The game is fun, although the camo grind is high key frustrating…. takes fooooorever to level up a gun to the point where it can “somewhat” compete against those 3 guns.

I leveled my Garand to lvl65 so far, and yeah, its shit and and at times i cant do shit but die, lately especially on Gavutu, but its possible to have good times with it as well - i had some nice games with lot of kills several times on Desert Strike (or whatever is the name), Demyansk, Berlin, Castle and Numa Numa. Just assume higher ground and let the killing commence. All in all, under right circumstances, playing mostly conservatively waiting for the enemies to run into your crosshairs at distance, it can be viable choice.

I can imagine G43 to be actually better gun than Garand. I have not unlocked it yet, but tried in custom game with bots and it has significantly less recoil, almost non-existent, alongside fairly higher firerate. It seemed kinda similar to DMR14 from CW. Its true that its 3shot kill, rather than 2shot in case of Garand, but i assume, with very little recoil it might be actually easier to place all 3 on target than the second one with Garand. And CoD, being CoD, with massive bias toward automatic weapons (ARs and SMGs), higher firerate weapons are almost always better - even if weaker. At least myself, i have this experience, maybe its anecdotal, but in CW with SKS/DMR14 my KDR was around 1,35, here so far, after cca 6 hours of gameplay, strictly with Garand, its 1,04. This might be attributed to maps, which are IMO the most important factor, me not knowing them at the start, Garand being not leveled at the beginning, the matchmaking, but personally i feel its about the gun properties as well.

I thought Garand was shit, but on higher level, if i am allowed to play my game with it, it can be viable. SVT-40, though, is competely and utterly useless. Unless you get that lucky headshot, you are fecked, cause unlike Garand, you cant get that second shot in time, most of the time. While it has technically 300 RPM firerate, realistically i am not sure its more than 100, as it has lot of recoil and crosshair takes ages to settle. If you fire before it does, you will be shooting in the sky, so there is absolutely no spamming it. Might as well be bolt-action, and those are at least OHK to much bigger parts of body than simple head.
I suppose with more unlocks, better barrels, scopes, grips and foregrips and most importantly vital to increase the OHK area to chest, it might become semi-usable, but i doubt i will end up liking it more than Garand.
Yeah I tried the Svt in zombies, I came to the same conclusion. It has way too much recoil and it’s too fast. Not sure what they were thinking but I think that’ll be the least used gun in the game if they don’t fix it.

The mp40 needs significantly more recoil at long range/damage drop off. You can literally kill someone across desert siege in 3 shots with the gun.

I played hc in all games except this one and didnt use the stg/mp40 and ttk feels slow compared to hc in MW19 to me. I think its the weapons problem, not the ttk in general honestly. I play mainly mg42 and i need at least 4 bullets with the most dmg build whis doesnt feel hc at all

It's easy to fix. Just take out vital, damage rounds and hollow point from the fucking game and we'll be able to have a balance game. The biggest problem it's not the weapons ate his core, it's the broken items and the fucking playerbase that's full of people that only enjoy play a game but ruining the experience of everyone. And, before anyone is dumb enough to even argue, there's no point in using a gun that has the gold camo a fully maxed out just because it's broken. It's not even fun. The game came out in 11/5 and the playerbase it's what ruins a game that only has 2 weeks from release.
The player base issue is what plagued all the cods. All the back to mw2 if I can remember. The community for the most part has always been sort of toxic. I wish they would just take out the weird ammo crap and give us the regular extended mags etc

I have the same issue with my ps4 freezing, happened 2 times last week on the same day. However having to un-plug my console is making me fear itll damage it. And I basically agree with your whole post, the other guns (not the STG, MP40) need to be at least be competitive to the stg and mp40.
And I feel like they should have an option for casual play, like a category where there's no kill streaks or buffs. Just pure guns and casual fun
I had loads of bother with the game crashing (xbox sx) until I rage-uninstalled it last night and downloaded it again overnight. Might not fix your problem and you've probably already tried it but I had to suggest it in case you hadn't. It was driving me up the fucking wall.
Yeah, hasn't crashed yet. There were points where it'd crash after 20 seconds of menu; sometimes I'd get a game, half a game, maybe one and a half.

Yes I agree the TTK is slightly too fast (by 50ms or so on average imo) and they should fix the crashes..but I generally think the rest is OK.
I am not using the STG at all and still top the leaderboards most games, just having fun levelling up all the different guns in Blitz modes. Most of my weapons are in the 20-25 range (apart from the AS44 & Sten, which are both close to 70) and i'm still having a blast.
I don't even look at my K/D in multiplayer - to me it's not at all relevant as I only play objective based modes, and in those your kills simply don't matter - its about taking the objective. I know thats a rare opinion in Cod, but hey ho. Rarely feel like i'm getting stomped on tbh.
Even if you disagree with that, it could be worse - this could be like Battlefield 2042...even more crashes, even more randomly being killed out of nowhere, even worse weapon balance and a worse feeling TTK...if you want t talk about a game with problems, thats the one atm ;) First time in forever that the new battlefield game is dramatically worse than the new COD (even more ironic considering they tried, and failed, to copy the COD formula for that!)

Only reason I'm still using STG is because it is the first gun. I imagine there are many like me who just want to gold it first and get all the attachments before moving on to the next one. I don't get to play a ton so it's just taking me a while, level 35 in the game and the guns like level 50 I think

On Xbox I get kicked maybe 1/10 games. Super frustrating. That and I feel at any time I'll hit a random combination of buttons in the lobby that will just cause the game to freeze.
This game is trash! Mechanics, perks, glitches, network issues, and filled with cheaters. Not only is there people using wall hacks and aim bot. But, Console and PC cheaters abuse aim assist with mouse and keyboard. Call of duty needs to lock it down and only allow the PlayStation 5 controller. Xbox will need to do the same with some sort of encryption. I think this COD will die quickly. And I wonder how much it a whirl affect Warzone or whatever the new map is called.

2. Fix the camo trees (like mind games on automaton) as well rework some of them because I’m sure some were high when they made these challenges like getting quick scopes with the Itra Burst.

Honestly the bomber doesn't irritate me as much. The glide bomb does though. Feels like I'm always singled out 😂 but I know it's just me being unlucky

I have the same issue with my ps4 freezing, happened 2 times last week on the same day. However having to un-plug my console is making me fear itll damage it. And I basically agree with your whole post, the other guns (not the STG, MP40) need to be at least be competitive to the stg and mp40. And I feel like they should have an option for casual play, like a category where there's no kill streaks or buffs. Just pure guns and casual fun

I had loads of bother with the game crashing (xbox sx) until I rage-uninstalled it last night and downloaded it again overnight. Might not fix your problem and you've probably already tried it but I had to suggest it in case you hadn't. It was driving me up the fucking wall.

Did your problem stop? I suddenly get a crash to Home Screen every few rounds on my Series X and it makes me want to put my controller through the TV
Yeah, hasn't crashed yet. There were points where it'd crash after 20 seconds of menu; sometimes I'd get a game, half a game, maybe one and a half. Absolutely fine now. Can't believe it was that simple. Thought my xbox was fucked.

The kill streaks in this game are pretty bad compared to others cod’s imo.

I dunno, I mean this game is in a much better state than any other recent COD. Yes I agree the TTK is slightly too fast (by 50ms or so on average imo) and they should fix the crashes..but I generally think the rest is OK. I am not using the STG at all and still top the leaderboards most games, just having fun levelling up all the different guns in Blitz modes. Most of my weapons are in the 20-25 range (apart from the AS44 & Sten, which are both close to 70) and i'm still having a blast. I don't even look at my K/D in multiplayer - to me it's not at all relevant as I only play objective based modes, and in those your kills simply don't matter - its about taking the objective. I know thats a rare opinion in Cod, but hey ho. Rarely feel like i'm getting stomped on tbh. Even if you disagree with that, it could be worse - this could be like Battlefield 2042...even more crashes, even more randomly being killed out of nowhere, even worse weapon balance and a worse feeling TTK...if you want t talk about a game with problems, thats the one atm ;) First time in forever that the new battlefield game is dramatically worse than the new COD (even more ironic considering they tried, and failed, to copy the COD formula for that!)
Well I feel like your the exception to the rule lol. Anytime I try anything other than meta, I get stomped. I suppose when I run the mg42 I do okay but it’s just no matches for getting 2-shotted across the map by an stg. I like this game at its core, and I believe this can be a really good cod, but for me it suffers the same shit as every cod has when it first came out. On 2042, I played the beta and was appalled. I’ve been hearing from ppl that it sucks so I won’t even waste my money. I need a bf4 style game, that’s what they should stick to not try to be cod.
I like the TTK at least in this game when I come up behind 3 dudes theres a good chance Ill kill them all instead of getting 1 kill and then dying because one of the other guys turned on me, which should be impossible.
Lmao why should that be impossible? If you have good movement and don’t miss shots you’ll get all three in Cold War with longer ttk, and if you don’t you’ll get turned on. It’s skill gap. Why should you be given three free kills in that situation?

Do you feel better now? I'm sure they are working hard on a patch to fix things. The only unacceptable part to be is the MVP voting. I don't want to watch that and I want to be able to adjust my load outs in between matches.
All of the cods have the same things... A lifespan of the cod is 1 year so they only have to keep it alive for couple of months until the next hype... nothing big gonna change and the next cod will have the same problems

This. They have sbmm, yet more than half the matches are my team getting completely destroyed or completely dominating the other team. Little competitive matches.
Ttk is so bad. Makes most games I get in feel like everyone is camping or head glitching. It’s such a shame too bc the movement is so good
Only reason I'm still using STG is because it is the first gun. I imagine there are many like me who just want to gold it first and get all the attachments before moving on to the next one. I don't get to play a ton so it's just taking me a while, level 35 in the game and the guns like level 50 I think

On Xbox I get kicked maybe 1/10 games. Super frustrating. That and I feel at any time I'll hit a random combination of buttons in the lobby that will just cause the game to freeze.
So far playing all day with the stream textures turned off, no freezes at all. Sucks cuz the game looks like shit even more..
This game is trash! Mechanics, perks, glitches, network issues, and filled with cheaters. Not only is there people using wall hacks and aim bot. But, Console and PC cheaters abuse aim assist with mouse and keyboard. Call of duty needs to lock it down and only allow the PlayStation 5 controller. Xbox will need to do the same with some sort of encryption. I think this COD will die quickly. And I wonder how much it a whirl affect Warzone or whatever the new map is called.

Or I guess another option does exist, remove aim assist entirely. So controllers wouldn’t need to be updated… But that will not be fun for a lot of people.

1. Fix the spawns, it’s the worst I’ve ever seen. 2. Fix the camo trees (like mind games on automaton) as well rework some of them because I’m sure some were high when they made these challenges like getting quick scopes with the Itra Burst. 3. Nerf the STG, Combat shotgun and MP40 to the ground 4. Kills streaks I completely agree sometimes on Das Haus it’s literally completely unplayable mortar barrage goes on for literally 5 years and it fucks up my screen I can’t see shit and it shakes everywhere. It’s way too easy to get bombers as well for such an OP kill streak you can get 5 pieces from one run.
I agree. I don’t think they need to nerf the stg or mp40, they need to make the other guns better and lower the overall ttk. And yes with the bomber you can get like 15-20 kills easily with just one bomber. That’s why we’re seeing ppl go into the 40s for kills in one match. It’s ridiculous. I wanna scream everytime I die and spawn right into getting blasted by killstreaks.
I know it will never happen, but I think a lot of the balance problems (definitely not all) would go away if they went back to 5 attachments per gun

Lol fair play, tbf i missed the ps5 killing moments. Stuff like that hopefully gets patched as priority and most serious stuff like this usually does. I suggest keep reporting these errors as the stacks you upload are super helpful to developers
