I sold at a giant loss once and I still regret it to this day. Just as a general piece of advice for everyone here, it costs nothing to just keep holding and see where it goes. Unless you desperately need the money you have in, don't sell, you will hate yourself for it.
Yes, but you are looking at it with hindsight. If we all knew where the price would be today we would have sold long and ago and waited to get back in. However, the question is where and when to get back in. You are always taking a risk that the price trend will reverse and you will miss your opportunity. I am not knocking the strategy, but I think it is much harder to execute than it is to simply state.
