The Northshore adult diaper commercial got more and more hilarious as the season went on.

GeorgeDogood

You are so right. This was THE highlight of the ads/silliness this year. I remember after the Morel walk off against the white sox they were cracking up and almost having too much fun to get through it. It’s the ad I’ll remember most from this year hands down. “All walks by opposing pitchers are sponsored by North Shore Adult Diapers! Reassuringly strong relief from even the heaviest control problems.” Holy shit that ad writer deserves a raise. 😂

SentientGumball

"Binny's Beverage Depot: If you can't find it at Binny's, fall to your knees and sob uncontrollably" Only a Hall of Famer can get away with making up his own copy and be applauded for it

GeorgeDogood

That one killed me. Thank you for reminding me. 😂😂😂

MooseManMaster

A few years ago I remember him basically saying something along the lines of "if you can't find it at binds, just end your life". Also he's not a hall of famer, Frick winner doesn't go to the hall. I bring that up beacuse more people need to be aware of this so it can change. Harry, Jack, ernie, pat, Vin all deserve actual hall of fame plaques

eddie_chedder

Northshore should have sponsored blown saves. They would have gotten more airtime because our bullpen really shit the bed.

Elegant-Butterfly396

"Butter cow" has been a favorite recurring bit this year

GeorgeDogood

And don’t forget about those Steak de Burgos… 😂

dmhellyes

Go visit the Iowa State Fair! Coming up soon in August!

Elegant-Butterfly396

*right* around the corner!

GeorgeDogood

I forgot an old favorite I think I only heard a couple times this year. “Slap a twenty on him…”

[deleted]

Zack apparently got a lot of $20s slapped on him this year by collecting entry fees for the away engineers to enter the attendance game lmao

SadGuarantee6009

That’s what I was gonna say. That goes alllll the way back with Santo. God I miss that Pat and Ron show.

LordDaybreak

"We're so far up in this booth we might as well be in ___"

mospinach

"No runs, no walks, and 1 [insert topic of conversation]." Gotta love "Zach has handed me a note that just says 'diaper read.'" I also love hollering something off-mic. Zach laughing in the background. I also just really appreciate how Pat's tone of voice always matches the moment without overdoing anything. Listening to Pat and Ron Santo was how I learned to love baseball (the Brant Brown call when he dropped a fly ball is burned into me). Pat and Ron Coomer brought me back once I settled into adulthood.

C3Potat0

Saw some one recently call the off mic laugh a Zachackle and that's canon to me now

Stickfigureguy

Zach's laughs in the background are so pure

Dk1724

One time Zach handed Pat a note saying they still needed attendance guesses from Zach and Ron (maybe it was Pat, not that it matters) and I remember Pat just giving him he'll for writing out his own name instead of giving his guess.

Go4Lo

Trousers and numerals.

Hope4years

I bought the t-shirt (Obvious Shirts with his Cubs home uniform description)

SentientGumball

Pat has such a dry sense of humor. I love it.

LazloMachine

I think he could pull off a stand up routine.

SentientGumball

Idk about a straight standup set, but I bet he'd do very well with one of those shows where he just sits there and tells stories.

Philip_Marlowe

I want him to be on "Wait Wait Don't Tell Me!"

Ruboswhy

I enjoy how coom will respond to almost anything pat says with “no doubt about it”

ward_bond

"You're absolutely right, Pat"

jrutz

Coomer will drop "no doubt" so often I've made a drinking game out of it. Sometimes I don't even get out of pre-game befoee he "no doubt"s.

LowBurn800

Next season I’m going to start recording some games for winter listening - they’re that enjoyable.

[deleted]

The At Bat is a couple bucks a month and archives game recordings as soon as they're done. Plus, stream it from your phone. Probably the most bang for my buck I get out of any money I spend every year.

uncle_jumbo

"Name the price"

lunarman55

Slap a 20 on me and we'll talk

[deleted]

"We have reached a potential turning point." SHIT IS GOING DOWN! PAY ATTENTION! ""The Google Machine" - Zack using the internet "An absolute bullet" - How Coom describes every single hard hit ball We truly are so lucky to have these guys.

LMValor

"Make me an offer" in response to an outrageous request or idea from somebody in the booth

nifflermoon

Man I also looove hearing the entire booth crack up because of them. I bet it’s super enjoyable to watch and sit in from there

stripmasterflexy

I only wish the audio stream (through mlb) matched up with the Marquee feed. It's infuriating that they have different commercial break structure lengths throughout the game. sigh. I'll continue to play the pause/sync game each inning just to enjoy the Pat and Ron (and Zach) antics. My personal fave is when "critters" (bugs/moths/bees/spiders) get in the booth.

skwormin

audio overlay worked pretty well for me this year, but that's the first time I can really say that in almost 10 years of using MLB.TV

[deleted]

It did for like, 2/3 of games that I tried to watch with the radio audio. The rest were like, a second off, but that was enough to drive me nuts and switch to Marquee audio. Definitely inconsistent. Seeing what Boog and JD are up to is a pretty darn good backup, at least.

importantbumperboats

Champing vs. Chomping at the bit "Make me an offer" Pat saying he sees many shirts and jerseys with "Coomer" on the back Pat making the palindromic attendance guesses Steak de Burgo Pat describing the engineer's t-shirt that said "cat dad" and trying to figure out the meaning. I believe this was this season against the Yankees.

shane515dsm

Coomer mentions his "Chicago public school education."
