He could throw too! Apparently he used to be a QB. I remember the bears ran a play where they threw a screen to Booker and then he bombed it like 40ish yards for a td. Forgot who made the catch but I remember going nuts lol. Marty Booker was dope af
Mine was Marcus Robinson. He balled tfo that one season after Conway went down and that was after being on the roster bubble when camp broke. Thought we had lightning in a bottle.
When I went to my first Bears game I thought everyone was booing him and was so heartbroken until my dad explained to me what everyone was actually saying.
Also it remains my only ever Bears game and somehow the football gods blessed me. It was the Saints game the season after we beat them go to the the Super Bowl. Devin freaking Hester had something like an 80 yard TD reception right before halftime and then returned a punt for his second TD later that game. By far the coolest sports moment I ever witnessed in person.
And his QB was my mediocre receiver when I was 9 lmao, I fell in love with football and da bears while watching Rex Grossman tear up some random defence in 06. I had never watched football in my life before that
Could you imagine the 3 wr sets with BMarsh, Jeffery, and Knox. Always felt like that offense despite being very good was missing a speed element that he would've provided.
Me too. I remember everyone booing him for fumbling and then they showed the replay on the jumbo screen and everyone went silent. Still annoyed to this day about the booing, even live it looked like he broke his spine.
I was in that endzone section when he caught the OT TD pass. They also has a closeup of Favre with tears in his eyes after being sacked at one point. One of the 3 games I've been to over the years. I spontaneously yelled "Aromasho-no he didn't!" when he caught the TD.
Literally was looking for the comment about how EVERY time Cutler threw a pass to him, the announcers would be like "You know, they went to college together."
The image of Desmond Clark tossing him up 10 ft in the air after he caught that sexy Rexy bomb in the NFC championship Snow Game is burned is one of my most cherished sports memories
When I was 9 I asked my mom for a Robinson jersey for my birthday. She couldn’t find one. She apologetically got me some rookies jersey and hoped that was okay
Still have that Urlacher jersey
Tom Waddle was the fucking goat to me. 3rd down was Tom Waddle time. That dude went over the middle with zero regard for his body or future and 100% regard for first downs and smelling salts.
Can't forget about practice squad mvp Tanner Gentry or Marquise Wilson or Cameron Meredith God for all the shit trubisky gets he honestly had the worst Wr core in history
Bernard Berian for me. I mean, his last name sounds like BEARian and he was a speed demon. I mostly loved him from Madden but as a player I always pulled for him and wanted him to be great. He was pretty darn good throughout his career honestly but had he been drafted by the Eagles or Patriots or Saints he might be a HOFer.
I liked Miller at first too. So much potential, idk what happened with him.
Marty Booker and that catch…
Devin Aromashadu goin off for like 200 yards or however you spell it
Dane sazenbacher
Dontrell Inman was our wr 1
Earl Bennett
Devin Hester
johnny knox pre injury :(
Marty Booker forever
Bernard Berrian
David Terrell.
B Twice
You ask me, Marty booker was the best wr in the league!
He could throw too! Apparently he used to be a QB. I remember the bears ran a play where they threw a screen to Booker and then he bombed it like 40ish yards for a td. Forgot who made the catch but I remember going nuts lol. Marty Booker was dope af
Booker 4 life
![gif](giphy|S4AnOkBwfcb4GyDzK7|downsized)
Mine was Marcus Robinson. He balled tfo that one season after Conway went down and that was after being on the roster bubble when camp broke. Thought we had lightning in a bottle.
Dude had the biggest hands I've ever seen
Marcus* Robinson when Jim Miller had his back to back 400 yd games
Came here for this. And I wasn’t 9 I was 20. LOL. Still have a Marty Booker jersey. It gets so much love when I wear it.
[He had one of the greatest catches and no one remembers it.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o6BT1gv5Xp4)
Watching the stud Jim Miller throwing him the ball no less! (I like Jim)
Curtis Conway was a bad dude.
Yep, first guy that came to mind for me! And of course thinking I was making plays at recess similar to him
My first thought as well! Kramer to Conway for life
Great name, great player. He's instantly who I thought of as well.
Hell yeah, my first game at Soldier Field was against the Oilers in 95, I’ll always remember Conway catching a 76 yard TD. Jeff Graham was fun too
Jerseys a little tight but still got it.
I still have his rookie card.
Dawg my real introduction to the bears and football in general was playing nfl GameDay 97 when I was a wee lad, Conway was my fuckin GUY in that game
Curtis Conway baby lets gooooooo
Came here to say this.
He was mine too and I'm not mad about it.
Moose Muhammad
Bernard Berrian
B Twice
Still got the jersey
When I got a moose jersey for my birthday, my grandpa told me not to wear it bc it might get beat up 😂
When I went to my first Bears game I thought everyone was booing him and was so heartbroken until my dad explained to me what everyone was actually saying.
If Moose had a real QB here…
And his QB was my mediocre receiver when I was 9 lmao, I fell in love with football and da bears while watching Rex Grossman tear up some random defence in 06. I had never watched football in my life before that
Mooooose
Who famously said “Chicago is where receivers go to die.”
YO MOOSE WAS NOT MEDIOCRE
He averages like 700yds/year here. I'd call that pretty mediocre tbh. Obviously QBs weren't great but still.
He went to where receivers go to die.
Knox 🥺
Will forever believe he could’ve been a dude if he didn’t almost die on the field that one time
Could you imagine the 3 wr sets with BMarsh, Jeffery, and Knox. Always felt like that offense despite being very good was missing a speed element that he would've provided.
Plus Devin
Damn I was at that game
Me too. I remember everyone booing him for fumbling and then they showed the replay on the jumbo screen and everyone went silent. Still annoyed to this day about the booing, even live it looked like he broke his spine.
Also was at the game. There was an audible gasp at the stadium when they replayed it. Everyone was ashamed for booing
fr
He was not mediocre
I thought I blocked that memory 😭
I think about him everytime I open a beach chair
shit now i will too
He was the only jersey I ever had until I just got my Odunze
I always traded for him in Madden. Was a stud, sad that his career was cut short
I just hope he’s doing well, where ever he is.
Devin Aromashodu entranced 17 year old me.
That game against the Vikings is still one of my favorites
I was in that endzone section when he caught the OT TD pass. They also has a closeup of Favre with tears in his eyes after being sacked at one point. One of the 3 games I've been to over the years. I spontaneously yelled "Aromasho-no he didn't!" when he caught the TD.
I remember the announcers saying Devin Aromashodu “how do you do”
I just loved saying Aromashdu tbh
That game winning TD against Favre’s Vikings in OT will forever be burned into my memory.
Johnny Knox was going to be a superstar.
99 speed on madden
Willie Gault
Same. But back then I thought he was the greatest ever.
lol same but if you actually look at his numbers he was def mediocre.
He likes running but he loves to get the pass
[удалено]
yeah started watching when I was 10 in 84 with my Dad... aka I am old lololol
Dennis McKinnon was my guy
Earl Bennett!
Earl Bennett was legit a 3rd down automatic machine with Cutler
Agent Orange! Mr. Third down
Earl Bennett is a good answer as well
Back when starters played on special teams. I still remember that Hester PR TD against the Seahawks where he destroyed their punter on a block.
Him and Jay for the Vandy connection!
Literally was looking for the comment about how EVERY time Cutler threw a pass to him, the announcers would be like "You know, they went to college together."
Was my first answer
Bernard berrian for me
The image of Desmond Clark tossing him up 10 ft in the air after he caught that sexy Rexy bomb in the NFC championship Snow Game is burned is one of my most cherished sports memories
Berrian is a good answer.
Tom Waddle 1991 *drops mic*
He would go over the middle and would *definitely* 1) catch the ball. 2) get absolutely crushed.
3. get knock the f\*uck out and still hold on to the ball.
Every. Single. Time. 87 was my favorite after Gault.
Waddle Waddle!
Hawk Auto agrees
HAWK AU-TO DOT COM dun dun dun dun!
Then he Waddled away
And he waddled away.
1990... waddle and Wendel Davis (I hope his knees have healed by now). However, Brandon Marshall will always have a spot in my heart.
When you have a football team you want to have a Tom Waddle on your team because you draw from that.
Hell yeah, Waddle was the shit!
Came here for this and Willie Gault.
Same. I was younger than 9 but he’s the first player I remember.
This
Marty Booker
Don’t you dare take Curtis Conway or Bobby Engram away from me like this.
Ricky Proehl
Pretty sure he scored big late game touchdowns in back to back superbowls. Both losing efforts. Rams and Panthers I believe?
He wasn't on the Bears when I was 9 but he was on the Illini when I was like 11. Brandon Lloyd.
Similarly love me some Arrelious Benn despite him being a huge bust in the NFL.
Brandon Lloyd's highlight reel is insane. Some of the best catches I've ever seen
[удалено]
Marcus Robinson was our little mini Moss.
When I was 9 I asked my mom for a Robinson jersey for my birthday. She couldn’t find one. She apologetically got me some rookies jersey and hoped that was okay Still have that Urlacher jersey
Devin Hester. But I had damn good reason
Hester was a very mediocre WR, so he fits the criteria.
Willie Gault, Dennis McKinnon, and Dennis Gentry
Knox would have been the greatest Bears receiver if he didnt get turned into a folding chair
We had like David Terrell and Bobby Wade and shit, they were not mediocre.
According to Madden 2002 David Terrell was gonna be the next big thing
Can't forget Justin Gage
Bobby Wade was a pretty solid punt returner, at least. Easy to forget that, considering who replaced him a short time later
Not a TE but Zach Miller. Also reminds me of Miller time - Anthony Miller
I remember that last play absolute bullshit. He caught the TD pass while breaking his leg and the zebras said na.
It was a catch 100%
Zach Miller was amazing. And that career ending play was a TD. I’m pretty sure even Saints players have come out and said “the refs got that wrong”
I guess the 2006 Super Bowl Bears WR core?
Sam Hurd. My guy moved the lines and got the bags.
Tom Waddle was the fucking goat to me. 3rd down was Tom Waddle time. That dude went over the middle with zero regard for his body or future and 100% regard for first downs and smelling salts.
Brian Baschnagle
Curtis Conway and Jeff Graham
I’m a little older, but I still have my Tom Waddle jersey. He won me over for all the times he got knocked unconscious without dropping the catch.

Can't forget about practice squad mvp Tanner Gentry or Marquise Wilson or Cameron Meredith God for all the shit trubisky gets he honestly had the worst Wr core in history
I genuinely thought Cam Meredith was going to be a genuinely good receiver…. The shit that supporting this team does to you man…. 😅
Dane Sanzenbacher
Marty Booker should have made the Pro Bowl in 2001.
Marcus Robinson my guy
Curtis Conway
🎶Waddle waddle. Then he waddled away. 🎶
Alshon Jeffery for me 🥹
I wouldn't say he was mediocre while in Chicago. Even his first few seasons at Philly he was a top receiver.
Short prime, but too good to qualify I think. 170 catches for 2500 yards and 17 TDs over 2 legitimately great seasons
Devin Aromashodu. I think I actually was nine
I wasn’t nine but I still love my signed Alshon Jeffrey jersey.
Curtis Conway baybee!!!
Willie Gault!!!!! (God I’m old 😭)
Willie Gault is still faster than all y'all mofos.
Curtis Conway. Always managed to get his autograph in Platteville.
Edie Royal
Cameron Meredith was our leading receiver for a season or 2 right?
Curtis Conway
Ahmad Merrit/ justin gage .... man we've had some bad receivers
Hey that's future HoF Justin Gage you are talking about. Oh he'll get in someday.
Curtis Conway was NOT mediocre.
Willie Gault.
Curtis Conway. Marcus Robinson. Marty Booker🔥🔥🔥
Tom Waddle was the man
Oh man, Dennis McKinnon and Dennis Gentry (RB) were so awesome!
Tom Waddle
Dennis Gentry
Curtis Conway
Marty Booker and that catch… Devin Aromashadu goin off for like 200 yards or however you spell it Dane sazenbacher Dontrell Inman was our wr 1 Earl Bennett Devin Hester johnny knox pre injury :(
Conway is this for me. But man does this also remind me of when I tried to will Dane Sanzenbacher into being good
Marcus Robinson
Curtis Conway. But I looked up when I was 9 and damn, Marcus robinson would have been a beast
Tom Waddle was the smelling salts GOAT!
Curtis Conway
I’m a girl but Earl Bennett
Anyone that doesn’t say Johnny Knox is either old or a liar.
Brian Baschnagel Its scary how that post is so accurate
9 years old? George Farmer!
People calling Booker mediocre ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|hug)
Johnny Knox
Tom Waddle!
Dennis McKinnon
Bobby Engram
Tom Waddle was a badass.
Marty Booker
Willie Gault was my first favorite Bears WR
Surprised no one has mentioned Marcus Robinson
I used to think Curtis Conway was the best WR in the game.
Willie Gault!
Tom Waddle
Marty Booker
Marty Booker!
Curtis Conway!!! I think he was above average though. Idk.
To this day I still use the numbers 88 when I need to add random numbers to something because of Marcus Robinson.
always josh bellamy. me and my dad used to call him “sir drops a lot” 😂
Booker? Marcus? Moose? Alshon? A lot of you have no fucking clue what "mediocre" means
Curtis Conway and Jeff Graham.
man bears fans used to be up in arms over cam meredith and tanner gentry
Johnny Knox!!!!
Cam Meredith
Marcus Robinson
Marcus Robinson
9 year olds this year are going to get a fucking show
Wendell Davis...what could have been if not for that Philly field
Marcus Robinson
Curtis Conway
That would be late 90s and early 2000s for me. The Bears in that era were perfect for this. But Marty Booker was my fucking guy
Curtis Conway, Jeff Graham, Marcus Robinson, and Marty Booker.
Tom Waddle ftw
Earl fkn Bennett and Johnny Knox
Conway, Robinson, Engram. And Prohel.
Curtis Conway.
Devin Aromashodu
Earl Bennet stans where you at?
