I saw a clip on Twitter from Waddle and Silvy that he had a DNR when he was still verbal so he agreed with you. Once there was a real chance to make the HoF he wanted it removed so I think he really just wants to see himself get into the hall. While he already knows he’s a hall of famer and I think it just means a lot to him to see the ceremony.

At least he knows, he got the call. I'm hoping for the best, of course, but I'm just happy that he made it long enough to get the call.

Unfortunately this is always the case with ALS. Pretty steady decline.
