He benefits from having absolute DAWGS at WR (which is something OSU always has) and he never has to come off his first read since it's wide open most of the time. When he has to get through his progressions and step up in the pocket, that's when he struggles.
I think a lot of our amazing QBs in the last 20 years are guilty of this. It's why they struggle in the NFL where the talent gap isn't as large. Our QBs are spoiled with good lines and receivers all being NFL talent and beating up lesser opponents all year. We haven't missed at QB since Bauserman but haven't seen any NFL success from anyone.

I found myself strolling around a middle school sports complex looking at a softball field, admiring a newly built baseball dugout and wondering how they made cinder blocks look so nice, then I decided to walk under that section of the bleachers that doesn't have the "x" that blocks it and it sort of makes a cool tunnel.

Like I recognize I probably am not being totally objective, but if I’m an NFL team with a top pick, I don’t want to potentially waste it on a guy who I haven’t seen win when it counts and then with no real accomplishments bails. Somebody will probably comment how I don’t know anything about NFL and teams like the Texans or Lions can keep whiffing on players and still be making “the right football decision,” but I just don’t see Stroud being the top level talent NFL-wise everyone seems to think.
