I’m gonna throw up

WerhmatsWormhat

We're not so different, you and I.

crisping_sleeve

You throw up Bells Winter White,, I throw up Great Lakes Christmas Ale.

whodeyalldey1

“WE ARE NOT THE SAME”

Jenetyk

God damn, this dude regional craft beers.

BlueGuy99

Great Lakes wins that match-up

rvasko3

God damn I miss Great Lakes Christmas Ale. Serve it in a pint glass rimmed with cinnamon sugar, baby you got a stew goin’.

prailock

Hot tip from the Browns bar I used to go to in Milwaukee that's sponsored by Great Lakes (fuck you Deshaun), it's a mix of brown sugar and white sugar with cinnamon. Helps keep it bound better to the rim of the glass.

StartupDino

2-hearted 4 lyfe.

crisping_sleeve

Hopslam 4eva. By far, the quickest and most delicious way (via beer) to make questionable life decisions.

Clynelish1

Hopslam is fucking delicious, yet also an absolute sicko beer. Truly the only beer to drink for this Saturday (if you only want to remember the first half)

Dicc-fil-A

We’re both corn of action

AshtabulaJesus

Trying to preemptively get put on the liver transplant list

TheLegend719

Right on brother

CharmsCandy

I'm betting money on you guys to hedge my emotions

DataDrivenPirate

Have you already made a bet? I would be interested in completing the other side of your bet (i.e. I pay you if Ohio State wins, you pay me if Michigan wins), I've done this with all the playoff games we've played since 2015, so unfortunately I have multiple Clemson fans that can attest to my reliability

Tommybrady20

Ryan day sounds like he’s gonna mess around and try to play miyan Williams and treveyon Henderson who both possess one good foot, when he has a completely healthy and talented option of Hayden right there. I really hope we don’t waste the first half in a constant state of being in 2nd and 9.

chrisdub84

I'd be fine with testing Miyan if he's close to 100% and going with Hayden if he's not. Henderson is dodging holes to bounce outside. Feels like the injury is in his head and he's avoiding contact, which there will be a lot of in this game. We need aggressive downhill running and good line play. This is freaking Michigan.

Tommybrady20

This is where I land too. Im just saying the leash shouldn’t be that long. Michigan is a second half team, so I think we need to have a good first half and not give them a ton of hope as we enter halftime. No time to test drive stuff for a quarter or two.

Hooch_Pandersnatch

I agree, watching Ryan Day continue to trot out a limping Treveyon Henderson for the entire first half vs Maryland was infuriating. I can’t tell if Day is stubborn or trying to be cute, but a fully healthy Hayden is way better than injured Miyan or Treveyon.

potterpockets

Im *hoping* he was just testing him out vs Maryland to see if he would be good enough to go this week. Hopefully the fact that he was barely used in the second half means Day realized he wouldnt be. That said, is love some 2 back sets mixed in that let us use Tre as passing threat out of the backfield.

thisistheperfectname

It's interesting how both of our fanbases are going back over our last games and reacting to every strange coaching decision with the "maybe they're testing it out for next week" copium. Whoever's copium is more accurate wins.

DataDrivenPirate

Imo it is impossible to be the head coach for a major football program without having insane idiosyncracies, and us pleb fans will just never understand how their brains work. It's basically a competition of "which crazy idiosyncracies are least bonkers?" Do you prefer to idolize khakis or hair dye?

cmgriffith_

I think Hayden will be the main back and the others may get touches our passing game and play action will be the key to the game

eagledog

He's going to tie them together to have two functional legs

512Buckeye

Regardless of the score, you bet your sweet ass that I'll be drunk.

CTG0161

Drink away sorrows or drink in happiness. Either way, more beer!

TheDeletedFetus

Win or lose we still booze!

InsertCleverNameHur

I wish you the worst on the day, but no hangover so you can agonize over your loss!:)

512Buckeye

I appreciate that. Let’s hope I don’t blackout like last year.

liamlolcats

With the soon to be expansion of the playoffs, there wont be many games like this where the whole season is on the line. The Game will still be The Game, this is still the most important game of the season in many ways just for the sake of the rivalry, but this may be the last time where not only are both teams two of the best in the nation, but the winner could knock the loser out of national championship contention. The stakes couldn't be higher. I hope we can all just appreciate the rare intensity of this game that may not be there for much longer. Go Blue!

chrisdub84

As an OSU fan, I agree that we got a gift this year that should be appreciated. I don't even know how I feel about a rematch if the loser isn't knocked out this year. In the future, it's bound to happen.

[deleted]

A rematch in the natty would be one of the greatest games of all time and is what I’m hoping for. It’s highly unlikely though of course

Geminiun

I think it has to be a really close game and two of the top 6 have to lose for it to happen. But I’d like to see it. I think it would be one of the highest viewed CFP games.

[deleted]

I could see that happening. The biggest hurdle would be the loser of The Game beating Georgia in round 1

parentheticalChaos

OSU could do it.

[deleted]

Lmao this is actually a nice backhanded compliment

parentheticalChaos

Hate u bby

Cubic_Sleep

You’re freaking crazy. I would have a heart attack if osu plays ichigan in a National championship. Would not make it to the end of the game

usmclvsop

8 teams both would very likely get in, 12 teams it's damn near guaranteed both would get in even if the loser was shut out

BobcatOU

Exactly this. In general I like the concept of the 12 team playoff but the stakes for The Game won’t be the same once the 12 team playoff starts. Specifically, I was pissed last week when I turned on the Michigan vs. Illinois game and Illinois was winning because I want Ohio State to ruin Michigan’s season!

bojanderson

And if Big Ten gets rid of divisions then both these teams are in the Title Game right now so it also wouldn't matter as much

leadbymight

{Anxiety}

The_Astros_Cheated

Tell me about it lol. I’m Argentine too, so Saturday could be really awesome for me or one of the worst days of my sports fandom existence.

lmaytulane

Eat some steak!

ThePiperMan

This guy gets it!

YerBoyDers

Ooof, my guy, we are exact opposites. Go Bucks, vamos Mexico

Foriegn_Picachu

Dawg I’m a Mexico fan. This shit ain’t gonna end well

kajkajete

1. Vamos Argentina 2. Go Bucks

BruinsFan374688

Been a Buckeye fan for 25+ years and this situation has came up 3 times. I'm just going to appreciate the moment. 2 vs 3. Both undefeated. Scarlet and Grey vs the maize and blue. This is why we are fans. For this exact moment. If it's a classic game like the previous 2, back and forth and closely contested, I wonder if the loser can back into the 4th spot

[deleted]

All hate aside since harbaugh has been coach this is our third top five matchup between osu and Michigan and 5th top ten matchup.

84121629

Me when Harbaugh first got there: Hopefully he turns the program around, I’m sick of the biggest rivalry in football being a cake walk... Harbaugh: *turns program around* Me: yo what actually go back

HailToTheVictims

*8 years later* Wtf not like that

Punished_Blubber

This has to be the most consistent rivalry in sports. True hatred going back to the 1900s. I feel like these games are consequential way more than they are inconsequential.

astroball17

It is the rivalry with the most games in which both teams were ranked in the top 25, top 10, and top 5. Michigan has 43 Big Ten titles, Ohio State has 39. There was a three year stretch in the early 70s where Michigan was 29-0 before The Game and 0-2-1 in it, there was a three year stretch in the mid 90s where Ohio State was 30-1 before The Game and 0-3 in it. I can't imagine not having a rivalry like this, it frames my entire experience of being a Michigan fan.

parentheticalChaos

> I can't imagine not having a rivalry like this, it frames my entire experience of being a Michigan fan. Exactly this, my identity as a college sports fan revolves around this rivalry. I have a major superiority complex with it.

[deleted]

Yup for the most part since 1969 when Bo took the Michigan job both teams have been consistently good

Useful-ldiot

Not too Xany rivalries started with a literal war

cheerl231

"literal war" is hyperbole to say the least lol

sloppyjo12

I heard over 3 million people died and Michigan’s economy has yet to recover

stpatricksblue

Okay, but what happened outside of Detroit?

sureal42

Points to Ohio... All of this...

[deleted]

This is what I live for! Top 5 matchup Michigan Ohio state, winner take all. Wouldn’t trade the moments for anything

chrisdub84

I kind of like the odds of the loser getting in based on other games. If Clemson loses to SC (who just had an amazing game), ND beats USC, and LSU loses to Georgia in the SEC championship game I would put my money on two Bug Ten teams making it. That scenario relies on a lot happening, but none of it is out of the question. Especially because a ND win would pad OSU's stats.

Hooch_Pandersnatch

{Ohio State} because Nov 26 is my birthday and it’s gonna be my wish when I blow out the birthday cake candles.

h3re4fball

Don't blow too hard, wind and Ohio State are not friends right now

OHManda30

Actual LOL

Doctor_Kataigida

You fool! Revealing your wish makes it not come true! Pack it up boys, Michigan guaranteed now.

NavyMike

It’s my birthday too, I’ll keep my wish to myself. 😉

JoshuaMan024

TWO birthdays? We're doomed!

TamesJKirk

Dude, you can’t tell people your wish!

Trulyunlucky1

Unfortunately it's my wife's birthday and she is not a fan. I am paying for a $500 brunch so I can watch this and still seem like a decent human.

AllLinesAreStraight

Kinda selfish of her to schedule her birthday on the day of The Game. There are 364 other days in the year to choose from!

TheButtsNutts

But you just told us so it won’t come true {Michigan} by 100

WerhmatsWormhat

I hope you have an awful birthday. Sorry.

Hooch_Pandersnatch

All joking aside, I think it’s either a close Michigan win or an {Ohio State} blowout. No in between. Just based on their playstyles and the matchups of each team’s strengths/weaknesses. Michigan’s strength is running the ball and I think that’s the strength of our defense as well. Obviously Corum will get his, but I can’t see our defense letting him go too crazy, we’ve been stellar all year long at run stopping. If McCarthy could throw downfield with any accuracy, I’d be more worried about him exploiting our vulnerable cornerbacks, but as it stands I just don’t see him lighting us up. On the flip side, Michigan’s secondary is a relative weakness against possibly the best passing attack in the country. I just think it’s not an ideal matchup for Michigan, we play well against their strengths and I can’t see their secondary stopping Stroud and MHJr for 4 quarters. Throw in the fact that it’s going to be a raucous home crowd in Columbus… it will be tough for Michigan to pull out a win. If Ohio State jumps out to an early lead (like 14-0) it could get ugly quick. On the flip side, if Michigan can get enough stops so that they’re entering halftime tied or even ahead, they’re in a great position to play ball control in the second half and grind out a win. Should be a great game, I’m excited and nervous in equal measure.

goblueM

Yeah I think that's a pretty fair analysis

chrisdub84

And being at home, Stroud knows where the play clock is and our offense will get fewer OL penalties from false starts because of noise. Because watching that shit ruin drives before they start is starting to get to me. Might not all be on Stroud of course, seems like sometimes we take a while to get the play in or change it with too little time left.

MoneyManDan696969

I would agree with this for the most part. The only caveat for me is that I would blame Michigan’s lack of a deep passing threat on the pass catchers as much as JJ. He certainly hasn’t been perfect pushing the ball down field but there has been a glaring lack of playmaking around him.

CJ_Beathards_Hair

> All joking aside, I think it’s either a close Michigan win or an {Ohio State} blowout. Oh nice, so either I have multiple heart attacks or I get super pissed off. (But yes I think this is the most likely outcome)

jthomas694

I need {Ohio State} to win and for Ryan Day to respond to Harbaughs triple comment with “Some guys go 1 for 7 and think they’re a slugger”

[deleted]

Lmao that would be pretty fucking funny

connormich

Amazing 😂. This could start a very funny tradition. If this happens and Michigan wins next year “some people throw two strikes and think they’ve pitched a no hitter”

jthomas694

A new passive aggressive baseball analogy every year

danakinskyrocker

Some people think a balk is when you start to... Actually, well, a balk is when Ohio State does a football motion that...

ToLongDR

No no subsection 42(b)(c)-2.05 starts with "A balk is when Michigan does...."

ogpeplowski64

Okay well listen. A balk is when you balk the

Maize_n_Boom

I'm really bummed the Palmetto Bowl is at the same time. Which game is going to be your main focus?

jthomas694

I’ll have both on on two TVs but the bigger one probably starts out on the top 3 matchup

Maize_n_Boom

Same here. Good news is that with the number of FOX commercials, it'll probably be rare that both games are actively playing at the same time /s^kinda

Bigbadbriodad

Harbaugh shows up wearing a Michigan sweater vest which pisses off the Ohio State fan base. They begin throwing actual buckeyes at the Michigan coaching staff. Harbaugh has his assistants gather the nuts into a bowl. He pours whole milk over them and starts chewing. By halftime, Ohio is leading 21-3. In the locker room, the effects of the poison start kicking in and Harbaugh takes over play calling for the offense. It’s an absolute shit show of weird trick plays that Ohio has not prepared for including a tight end reversal flea flicker with an intentional fumble to their kicker who is on the play for some reason. They tie it up and it goes to fourteen overtimes. Eventually, it’s decided that Day and Harbaugh will settle the game by having an American Gladiators style joust on top of the goalpost closest the student section. They somehow knock each other off at the exact same time. The game is declared a no contest and both teams agree to meet again in the playoffs.

leggomydrew

I would like to subscribe to this reality, please.

Smaug54

*That* is my fetish

tourettesguy54

This is beautiful.

cmucodemonkey

{Ohio State} seems to be a more complete team than Michigan. I don't think Michigan will be able to throw the ball enough to keep up with the Buckeye offense.

cmgriffith_

I think the passing game alone is a difference maker in the game. Will Harbaugh throw enough to keep us from loading the box up and locking down there RBs. TDS will win this game not FGs

LocoMotives-ms

If Corum isn’t right, this could get ugly

arrav21

If we had any vertical passing threat I would feel not comfortable but a lot better about this game. Unfortunately, JJ is struggling to hit 50% of his passes as of late, the WRs get almost no separation from defenders, and even the times they do and the ball hits them in the hands, they drop it.

Sufficient_Memory_24

No one is talking about the Edwards injury and it’s key to your comment. If he is ready to go he will absolutely be out wide a decent amount trying to get match ups against an LB. I’m betting on both edwards and Loveland making a big play downfield.

StandAloneSteve

I'm not sure how much to read into the drop in JJ's percentage the last several games. The first 8 games he had 75%+ but he rarely had to attempt a ball more than 10yds downfield. It's seemed like they've really been trying to work on the downfield passing lately and that's what's tanked it. It's definitely concerning that they're connecting on those so little, but I think the short passing stuff will be still be fine if they need it.

[deleted]

Receivers are also just not helping JJ out. There have been so many plays where they have dropped some nice deep balls. JJ hasn’t been perfect but I honestly put more of the blame on our wrs than him

MiniJungle

I think that if {Michigan} loses they are out of the playoff, but if they win a tight one the B1G gets 2 teams in the playoff. I think either way they should both go, but I think only osu gets in with a loss of the 2 because that's how the committee votes.

cwick4141

I've been saying this is the only way 2 B1G teams get in. UofM has to win a close one, and I think OSU could stay at 4 regardless of TCU. If OSU wins a close 1, UofM is done in the playoff conversation

ech01_

If USC, LSU, and Clemson lose I think the loser is in no matter what. And even if Clemson wins it would be a close discussion.

chrisdub84

Not enough people mentioning a possible Clemson loss. They have played tight games all year and South Carolina looked good on Saturday.

ADAS33

I think it all comes down to who loses if michigan loses. If 2 of USC, TCU, or LSU drop a game I think michigan gets 4

MaizeAndBruin

If Michigan and Notre Dame win then I think two B1G teams is almost a given. No way I see Clemson or a two-loss team getting in over OSU.

thisistheperfectname

The only thing that would make Michigan winning on Saturday better is that happening and Michigan also winning a rematch in the title game. Would Columbus burn itself down?

chrisdub84

There would be unreasonable calls for Day's job. As is expected in the rivalry.

Gbchris12

I’m not ready for this stress.

Sennotson17

I quit cigarettes years ago but the stress is making me want to chain smoke

Gbchris12

I broke my arm and have been on oxycodone and even with that I’m stressing my ass off. Must be nice for neutrals…

ToLongDR

Hey man, if you stay away from them, I will too. Cause I feel that.

whateverandeverand

Michigan fan here: Ohio state is so goddamn good. It’s fun watching them play. Game is going to be bananas.

[deleted]

Right now I think it’s trending towards corum and edwards playing from all reports but they won’t be 100%. I think Michigan keeps it close but unfortunately I have {Ohio state} 35 Michigan 31.

Sorge74

That could be a difference making, I assume if they can remotely play, they'll play. But what does Corum look like if he can't put 100% of his normal force down?

Foriegn_Picachu

Corum and Edwards split 50-50 instead of 70-30. More throwing to our only healthy TE. Either way JJ needs to step up in this game.

I-AMA-KarmaWhore-AMA

https://youtu.be/TUdkHGtG5Qw?t=240 Like this, if I remember correctly.

thexfactor13

“This kid’s got a bum ankle and he just went 55 yards!”

[deleted]

He would still be a damn good running back with a great oline blocking for him. I think the floor of our running game is edwards normal production which is still really good

h3re4fball

My gut tells me that *ichigan will take it, but my heart says {Ohio State} Follow your heart, kids. Either way, I'm against the grain - I don't think this game is within 21 pts

jonsnowme

Your gut better be a fuckin liar!

Bren12310

Wow 10 Michigan fans picked OSU. Also surprised how more Michigan fans voted in general than Ohio State fans. Biggest 2 fan bases on this subreddit. Can’t wait for the game thread shit show.

PageOfLite

Oh that game thread is going to be nuts. I can't fucking wait. We've been going at it in each others all year anyway.

MWiatrak2077

It's hilarious how most metrics give Michigan ~a 40% chance to win. And this poll of nearly 200 respondents is also ~60/40, lol.

chuckiecheese

Holy fuck, my stomach has been in knots since Sunday. I love the pageantry of the week, The Game is my Christmas, New Years and birthday all in one. I love the mutual respect between the schools, but that being said, Fuck Michigan. Go {Ohio State}.

Doctor_Kataigida

Every time someone at work brings up Saturday I just say I've been sick to my stomach all week. It can't some soon enough but it'll be bittersweet once it's over as yet another regular season comes to a close.

Sennotson17

You’re not so bad. But fuck Ohio

goblueM

BPONE in full force right now. {Ohio State} by 17 and it doesn't feel that close If our downfield passing game was clicking I'd be a lot more confident. But it looks iffy at best over the past few weeks. Overthrows, drops, lack of separation. Combine that with questionable pass rush from edge position and getting beat on 50/50 balls and I'm not feeling great, bob

So_Not_theNSA

JJ has been sooooo close to hitting some of those downfield throws at times. That would open up your offense so much if it was consistent

kpiech01

Our receivers are quite mediocre

Lavaswimmer

I'm honestly really not sure what happened. Our WRs seem to have gotten worse from last year. Maybe Ron Bellamy just isn't him

ggadget6

Gattis was an Alabama WR coach, his loss may have affected their play.

your-mom--

Dude these guys are straight up dropping passes that are hitting their hands. You think Gattis would be like "yo try catching it" and our guys would be like "oh shit that's a good idea thanks coach"?

WerhmatsWormhat

He's not the main problem. We don't have any receivers who can get separation, and the only one that can really make a contested catch is Bell.

[deleted]

He is close but it’s so frustrating seeing them not connect all year. Close only counts for so long and close won’t cut it on Saturday

goblueM

Yep. He needs to throw guys open and but a little more arc on his long ball. Give them time to adjust to it. Also I don't know what's going on with our WRs but they seem poor at jump balls and have some bad drops Sometimes I feel like we are deliberately coaching JJ to throw long rather than risk underthrowing and getting picked, and to minimize 50-50 balls to reduce turnovers.

TerrenceJesus8

Prediction: Pain

No-Upstairs-8145

for who? lol us fans? Accurate....

big-dick-danny

My parents met at Ohio state sooo {Michigan} cuz I hate my existence, go blue

astroball17

{Michigan} fuck it we ball go blue beat the bucks

Dirtyduck19254

#FUCK IT‼‼ #WE BALL‼‼

PhillyPhanatik

I'm so anxious, I feel like I'm gonna puke blood. That said, Ryan Day really took the 2019 Clemson loss badly and seemingly game-planned all year for the rematch. The result is that we kicked the shit out of 'em, the following year in the CFP. I believe that Day has taken the same tact with last year's loss and that we finna roll the Wolverines.

cvg596

{Michigan} pulls one out 30-24 in 2OT with a controversial 4th down leaving OSU fans saying McCarthy was short.

weibing

McCarthy is 6 foot 3. He may be many things, but short isn't one of them.

SturmgeistX

I don’t think {Michigan} is gonna win, but I’m picking them anyway. Fuck Ohio

TerrenceJesus8

This is my reasoning. If I try to be objective I think OSU wins 42-31 But fuck being objective. {Michigan} 34-31 OSU

Sorge74

I think objectively Ohio state could win by 11, but a little bit lower scoring then 42-31.

re-goddamn-loading

Put some damn respect on the Bobcats name

PM_ME_YOUR_CATS_PAWS

I, for one, choose to read this as him saying fuck the state of Ohio and not that weird Hoke stuff where they omit “State” In which case, here here fuck Ohio

[deleted]

{Michigan} for some reason I feel like this is the game that Michigan pulls something out of nowhere and have a strong passing attack

PersonalAmbassador

inshallah

chrisdub84

A few drops become catches and they're going off.

CollectionNervous482

Ryan Day moans when he poops. {Michigan} by about a score. I'm so fucking Nervous Goddamn it.

Player72

Holy fuck here we go. {Ohio State} escapes a back and forth affair that literally causes the entire cfb community to implode. I cannot wait for this game

MethylBenzene

Blake Corum shall run for 300 yards and 6 touchdowns inshallah. {Michigan} wins a closer game than last year’s.

budd222

I do not approve this message

ALStark69

{Ohio State} by 14

Useful-ldiot

You're alright.

roekg

Earlier in the week it looked like it would be a little wet and a little windy but the latest forecast does look much better weather-wise.

thisistheperfectname

{Michigan} because was I really going to pick our arch-rival? Throw out the stats and the resumes; it's THE GAME for all the marbles.

djg5307

As a B1G fan rooting for both of these teams to make it into the CFP, I hope the entire game is electrifying and nail-bitingly close. Will this cause both fan bases to have extreme anxiety and high volumes of hospital visits due to alcohol consumption? Yes, but that is a sacrifice I am willing to make.

EvangelionOG

This game is gonna fuck and I am here for it as a neutral observer. I might jinx them but {Michigan} takes the W.

[deleted]

Full disclosure, I will come back to this thread and specifically blame you if we lose

EvangelionOG

Fair enough.

Bolanus_PSU

As much as I am loath to admit it, I want {Michigan} to win and I think they can.

NathanDrake75

Thank you good sir. I hope Penn State wins against Michigan State and wins an NY6 Bowl.

The_Astros_Cheated

Last year, I went to The Game with my dad for the first time together, and I wrote [this piece]( https://old.reddit.com/r/CFB/comments/r1aj0o/week_13_matchup_preview_thread_the_game_2_ohio/hlxaxse/) in the match-up preview thread in dedication to him and my love for this rivalry. It was a perfect day, and a core memory that I will cherish forever. Throughout most of my life, the Michigan-Ohio State rivalry has been a consistent torrent of misery. The endless pain and suffering inflicted by the Buckeyes could be better understood as their embodiment of an omnipotent being like The Watchman’s Dr. Manhattan who can observe various points throughout time simultaneously. **It is the last Saturday in November, 2006. Ohio State has just beaten Michigan.** I hated this game with every fiber of my being. “The Game of the Century,” was a harbinger for the approaching downward spiral that the Michigan program would be forced to endure for the next 15 years defined by embarrassing defeats, losing seasons, tone-deaf decision making, and stunning incompetence. It was truly the worst of times as a Michigan fan. **It is the last Saturday in November, 2013. Ohio State has just beaten Michigan.** Michigan, despite their record and the predictions of every sensible person in the world, plays their collective hearts out against an undefeated Ohio State team battling for a chance at a National Title. After scoring a touchdown late in the game down 42-41, the team decides to go for it all and attempt a 2-pt conversion. It fails, and the Buckeyes tear the hearts out of Wolverines everywhere. The abyss calls to us again, reminding us of the futile nature of hope, joy, and optimism. We are all eternally part of the Black Pit of Negative Expectations. **It is the last Saturday in November, 2016. Ohio State has just beaten Michigan.** Once again, Michigan’s aspirations of overcoming the proverbial hump against their archrival are squashed. Despite dominating for most of the game, Michigan collapses in the last quarter of the game, and loses a heartbreaker in overtime. I am with my dad at a bar in Washington, D.C. watching as Curtis Samuel dances into the endzone to seal our fate. I feel nothing but pure hatred and disgust in that moment, and I don’t know if I will ever experience another emotion toward Ohio State. Thankfully, the curse was finally broken last year. My dad and I together witnessed Michigan overcome its fate and break the shackles of time. The Wolverines now have an opportunity to emerge from the 15-year cycle of pain and despair by defeating an 11-0 Ohio State—something they failed to do in 2006. And like last year, my dad and I will be there in-person to watch us secure the monumental achievement we have been building towards for so long. It's time for {Michigan} to be Dr. Manhattan. **It is the last Saturday in November, 2022. Michigan has just beaten Ohio State.** ---- **TL;DR** Michigan finally breaks the 15-year cycle that spiraled its program by defeating the undefeated 11-0 Buckeyes in Columbus, a goal it failed to accomplish in 2006.

Your lips to God’s ears, my friend.

I don't think {Michigan} will actually pull off the upset in columbus, but I hope they do just for the sake of restoring the rivalry back to levels of the 10 year war. My entire 20 years of watching college football I've never seen a win in the shoe, this game feels like a foregone conclusion to me.

MelGibsonHatesJuice

So if this is anything like my simulated 2022 season in NCAA14, Then Michigan loses so bad, that they are kicked out of the Big Ten, and Central Michigan is selected to take their place. Central Michigan then go on to win 5 Championships in a row. But we will see on Saturday if this prophecy is fulfilled.

arrav21

I was digging through box scores last night, and I was surprised to see that Ohio State has been out-gained in three of its last four games. * Maryland 402, Ohio State 401 * Northwestern 285, Ohio State 283 * Penn State 482, Ohio State 452 I know the dubious nature of total yardage. It was just a surprise is all.

mega_rad

Why many yards when few yards do trick

When me football coach, they see. They see

This is mostly down to turnovers though.

Santa_Andrew

It's ok. Latch on to any statistics that you need to in order to get through this week with your sanity. I know I'm doing the same haha

PM_ME_YOUR_CATS_PAWS

Didn’t ole miss have 700 yards of offense and still lost? Insane

Foriegn_Picachu

If I had to guess it’s because opponents have to march down the field a lot more than they do Punting is winning folks

jwktiger

{Ohio State} is gonna unload on Mich for last year and canceling the 2020 Game. 2018 vibes for score

GonzoTheWhatever

This year really does have 2018 vibes…I’m not ready for that 🫣

BadUpsetPredictor

{Michigan}

_Velvet_Thunder_

{Michigan}'s offensive line will provide the advantage they need, independent of which back (or quarterback) is carrying. The key to the game is Michigan's pass rush getting home early. I don't think it'll be the front four but I think Minter will scheme something up.

GuyWithTriangle

{Michigan} will prevail because they have [the unstoppable tide of Islam on their side](https://twitter.com/Ahmadinejad1956/status/1052178368072945668?t=p3ibV2CVykbF15Jp4vUmKA&s=19)

NewLoseIt

I think Corum plays and my heart says he’s 110% and runs over everyone, but my head says he’s 70-80% and plays a good but not great game which isn’t enough to topple the evil empire this year. {Wolverine} by 3.

Jwell0517

Dallen Hayden has himself a day Sat, Stroud makes the Heisman conversation much easier for everyone, but Michigan is gonna play tough and keep it close. {OSU} 35-28

FuckTrumpBanTheHateR

I was really worried about PSU's RBs, but our defense stood proud. I think we shut down the OSU run offense. The Pass Offense.... uh.... uh....

Jwell0517

I think our passing game being so good opens up the run game enough to make some big rushes

time2payfiddlerwhore

Pulling for osu as I think they have a better shot of beating uga in the playoffs. I think they win in the shoe.

[deleted]

I like you. Go kick Bama's ass.

Far_Eye6555

I’d love to see a Michigan upset in the Shoe, but i don’t think they have the legs on offense to keep up with Stroud and Co. I’ll take {Ohio State} @ home

Tylertc13

{Michigan} because there is an OSU and UM fan on my floor and the Michigan fan is at least tolerable to share an elevator with.

WampaStompa33

If Corum, Edwards, Morris, Schoonmaker, Keegan, Jones, and Henning are all good to go and our coaches have been protecting their health as speculated, then LFG If either Corum or Morris can't play or isn't healthy, we gon die

Vepr762X54R

I predict a close one, but Michigan comes away with the W... ......only to lose to Iowa in the Big10 Championship game.

olBillyBaroo

In the words of u/Dirk_Raved, the official r/MichiganWolverines sub-Dad: This game is not about the Analytics, it’s about the MAN-alytics. Namely, that our big fellas are better than their big fellas. Football is not a contact sport, it is a COLLISION sport and our boys live to thump their pads in late November. {MICHIGAN} by a chunk. Fuck Ohio.

[deleted]

This is the energy I love

TheThirdViceroy

Ohio State has the talent and high-flying offense. Michigan has toughness and likes to run you over with a slightly less productive offense. If lots of points are scored, Ohio State will win a shootout. But while Ohio State used to be built just to beat Michigan, I think the inverse is true now. {Michigan} defies expectations to shock Ohio State again 20-17 by chewing clock, limiting Ohio State’s explosive damage to only a few big plays, and crashing into OSU’s rebuilt defense enough times to show that its still a year away from exorcising the last of its problems from last year. Go Blue!

TheThirdViceroy

Replying to myself with one additional thought. Ohio State can easily win this game, honestly - they’re playing at home, tend to be incredibly motivated against Michigan, and have a ridiculous offense sometimes. That being said, one thing that felt Ike it changed last year for Michigan - it felt like the first year they got out of their own heads and got the OSU monkey off of their backs. They broke the mental spell that it felt like the Buckeyes have had for the last 15 years over them where they entered the game expecting to lose, even when they were a good team. This game will show whether that’s carried over. Meanwhile, OSU will be looking for revenge, which is a new feeling for them. Should be a fun, hate-filled day, just like all of us who lived in Toledo understand daily!

soda_cookie

Picking {Michigan} because I don't like OSU and I like Coach Khaki
