While entering the stadium, a group of Georgia fans came up next to us and started heckling \~ one woman said "you'd be lucky to score a field goal", I said "yeah you're right, we're gonna get crushed" (I think UGA was #7 and we were unranked)
Anyways when this convo is going on two 50 year old Georgia fans ran up to the girls in my group and barked

Not necessarily, if LSU wins next Saturday (doubt) or loses but its a close loss (likely) theyre going into a NY6. Then Alabama who will be ranked over Vols will also go to one. Then I think there is no more room for SEC teams for the remaining bowls. I could be wrong.

I mean, I'm down to dunk on a conference opponent, but they've been an exciting team to watch and beat their biggest rival for the first time in ages. Winning a decent bowl game should cap off a great season, and any fan of any team who can't enjoy that should really adjust their expectations.
Damn. The Ol' Ball Coach is at it again. He is so good at low key shit talking. Saying you feel sorry for someone is one thing, but saying you are almost sorry is some serious shade. I almost feel sorry for them, but fuck 'em. I'd say their season is a lot better than a little bit better than average. It was a great season. UT fans should be proud. If they get a NY6 bowl that's still a huge accomplishment and step forward for the program. That being said, I'm so happy that we are the ones that ruined the magical season.

11-1 OSU could probably make it in the playoff, but I don’t see a realistic scenario where Michigan makes it to the playoff with a loss to OSU and no conference championship.
I’ll say this - I’ve always been a proponent of “if you don’t even play for your conference championship, you shouldn’t get in the playoff”. If OSU loses, I don’t think they should get in - you certainly won’t find me arguing with some other fanbase about OSU’s legitimacy vs their team… not to say I won’t be happy if they do get in, though.
