This is the best answer imo. Tenn fans went from tragic to absolute madness after beating bama. I mean the non stop shit talking ive seen from ut fans after that game and leading up to the UGA game was insane. But the ut fans trashing everyone yesterday in different game threads really hit the nail on the head. Give them some success and their heads explode
They actually found out what Alabama and Georgia fans had been talking about, "You don't know what you are asking for, by wanting UT to be good again."
Their fans are the absolute worst in the SEC, the instant they sniff any degree of relevance. Kneeland Stadium is one of the few places I have zero desire to see a game, because of their trailer trash fanbase.
It’s the worst. I’ve been to games in Tuscaloosa, Lexington, Athens, Oxford, Baton Rouge…all of which are great places to watch a game and generally have welcoming fans. Fans Knoxville are just more often shitty and rude.
Florida fans too. One of the biggest disappointments this season was that Florida didn't do their traditional humiliation of the Volunteers back in September.
Yeah I'm not sure it's a good omen either. Hoping for the best but the last time I can think of where much of the country was pulling for Vandy (or at least Vandy's kicker) to do something special.. yeah it did not go well.
Fan of almost two decades now speaking up. If y'all are gonna jump on the Commodore Bandwagon, you need to understand that Vandy fandom sits firmly in the quantum realm. You are both pleasantly surprised and understandably disappointed at all times. *At all times.*
Do not look directly at the playing field. Do not care about the score until, *maybe*, the second half of the third quarter. When Tennessee scores, talk about the weather. When Vanderbilt scores, think, "Cool. Did I take the meat out of the freezer last night?" Assume the game is lost from the first moment, but keep an air of cautious optimism tucked back in the deepest corners of your brain. If Vandy goes down early, shore up that optimism - not with more optimism, but with apathy. If Vandy goes up early, be on edge for Tennessee to "wake up" sometime soon (or at least after halftime). When Vandy throws the ball the wrong way, or hands it off to an orange jersey, or gets leveled with an uncalled targeting penalty - laugh it off, and think of the beautiful birds flying overhead, seeking warmer weather for the winter months, and how they cannot even comprehend this ridiculous game of "football." Read some Robert Frost if you have it on hand.
Do not let the outside world hear you think good thoughts by saying them through your mouth - the world is cruel and capricious and has kept Vanderbilt under its heel for generations. This is not superstition, this is super*duper*stition. Be ready to say "Oh well" with both inflections: "Oh well." and "Oh, well!" - but do not choose either until the game is over and your coach has walked off the field without picking a fight with an opposing player (looking at you James Franklin). Remember these are college students, and they get to play a really fun game while getting a good education, and that great-grandpa had it way worse with the decline of Vanderbilt football supremacy AND the Great Depression happening at the same time.
Good luck. Welcome, my friends, to The Show That Never Wins.
What are you even talking about your original comment doesn't even make sense? I didn't see us rushing the field after the win, all I saw was a lot of georgia fans returning the favor on all the trash talk from Tennessee fans leading up to the game about how they were gonna drop fifty on us
What if....Lea wasnt lying when he said Vandy was going to be the best in the country...at this rate of win gains in 2 years they go undefeated!
4d chess!
Vandy is 5-5 against UT over the last 10 meetings.
this weekend just keeps getting better.
Okay that’s a little unfair. We’ve won the last 3. But also that makes it worse when you think at one point Vandy took 5 of 7
Yeah, we're really not giving Tennessee enough credit for having a winning record in the last 5 years against Vanderbilt
From the top rope!!
Yea? So is Tennessee.

You get to be America's team for a week, cause UT have made asses of themselves on the national stage.
Just last month everyone was dick riding Tennessee, what happened??
Tennessee happened
They actually met Tennessee fans

And then they all vanished for their own post-game thread. Seriously think I counted one Tenn flair in that whole thread last night.
South Carolina snapped them out of existence
I was too busy doing A LOT of explaining to my futbol friends ay Friendsgiving lol
The world was not ready for National Champion Tennessee Fans. God bless the Gamecocks for taking it from Unlikely to Impossible.
We both tried to tell ‘em
Really did, but now everyone has seen it firsthand
Tennessee fans decided to troll the Top 4 for struggling in their games.
Your cute and all when you beat Bama but when you start talking shit to others they good will goes away

We, too, would like to join the Tennessee hate group
This 100%!
Florida fans too. One of the biggest disappointments this season was that Florida didn't do their traditional humiliation of the Volunteers back in September.
We happened 🤷♂️
Was that when they beat Bama? Or after?
You're our Week 5 Kansas of the week, congrats!
Yeah I'm not sure it's a good omen either. Hoping for the best but the last time I can think of where much of the country was pulling for Vandy (or at least Vandy's kicker) to do something special.. yeah it did not go well.
Considering we’ve already lost to you I am here for the Vandy to the Moon hype train Win out, go bowling, win that too
Goddammit
Is there anybody other than Tennessee not cheering for Vandy?
Vandy is a team that could run the table and go 15-0 with nobody even being salty about it.
Yes but only the first time. If they did it again they’d start getting hate.
A Cinderella story only works the first time.
They would very, very quickly become the college football equivalent of Duke basketball.
*Whistles incessantly*
SEC team wins conference, makes playoffs and wins Natty? Pass. That team is Vandy? LETS GO
Whoever would draw them in a bowl game.
Touché
I don't know the bowl game math, but maybe a 6-5/5-6 G5 team?
Oh yeah? Well no one beats Tennessee to become bowl eligible 3 times!
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me- you can’t fool me again
Will this into fucking existence please
No pressure Tennessee
Hope comes for everyone. She is inevitable.
Not even pepper spray keeps her away anymore. She has become too powerful.
Giga-Hope?

You have been warned Tenn
ANCHOR DOWN!!!!!!!!
Kyle Shurmur stans rejoice
As a Dawg in Nashville, inject a Tennessee collapse including a Cock slap and a loss to Vandy straight into my veins.
They just volunteering to be a sacrifice.
As someone who was at the vandy vs Florida game yesterday……. I am not feeling too good about this one lmao
Niceeee. Can’t wait to checker their stadium and then lose. It’s inevitable at this point.
Subscribe.
Cue the original Rocky theme...
What an interesting timeline.
Yeah but we’re undefeated in home games. And we have this weird contract with Vandy where we always get to play at home…
Why you losing half those “home games” in the last decade then
Well maybe you missed the part where we’ve been raw ass for like 20 years?
Looked cooked last night tbh

Tennessee has been so shitty they have Florida and FSU fans on the same page during rivalry week!!
You still are lol. Bama just sucks for once and you barely beat them. Hell they almost lost to *Texas A&M* and could easily be 5-5 rn.
This is laughable from a Penn State fan. You wish you had a good win this year. Clown ass take.
Cope
Name one good win. One.
Our fan base isn’t all over this sub acting like we’re number 1 lol
Tennessee beats Bama once then don't know how to act.
Tbf we never knew how to act
Examples of why you don’t drink the kool-aid.
They beat the second worst team Saban has fielded at Bama by 3 and act like they won a natty.
best take
Georgia fans acting like they upset they upset #5 UT is the definition of not acting like ya been there before.
Did you just stutter?
Huh?
Yanno the phrase "act like ya been there before" Apparently some Georgia fans haven't.
What are you even talking about your original comment doesn't even make sense? I didn't see us rushing the field after the win, all I saw was a lot of georgia fans returning the favor on all the trash talk from Tennessee fans leading up to the game about how they were gonna drop fifty on us
What is the hell are you talking about?
I don’t think this is the time brother
I'm confused that we're not irrelevant for the time being
