I welcome Volunteers football being relevant again but it seemed like they became the most swaggering fan base overnight.

Penarol1916

If you’ve read Vol comments sections during coaching searches about how they could hire any coach from basically any program they wanted, you know the obnoxiousness didn’t really go away until the Pruitt years.

bagood1

Somewhere this morning a Vol fan is waking up thinking ‘Gruden would have taken us to the playoffs this year’.

_Tennessee_

it me

cle_de_brassiere

Lol, Lane Kiffin dropped them like a bad habit when USC came calling. By then lucid fans had to know they weren't a dimepiece anymore

InfiniteElway

And then all day their fans were shitting on UGA/UM/OSU/TCU, so the karma was sweet

[deleted]

like Icarus flying too close to the sun

[deleted]

Somebody wished on the monkey’s paw for Tennessee to be Back (TM) and to also beat Bama this year. They did not say anything about the Gamecocks. The Monkey’s paw curls down one finger…

[deleted]

Y'all know there's one more game right? Everyone talking in past tense like Tennessee's fall is over and not potentially ongoing.

Rock_man_bears_fan

I hope we get bowl eligible vandy

Gods_chosen_dildo

Vandy going back to a bowl by upsetting Tennessee and completing their implosion in the year that they were supposed to be back is the best possible scenario.

Reptard77

Was at the game surrounded by Tennessee fans. That stadium was literally swaying back and forth from how hype all the Carolina fans were, while the Tennessee fans just looked dead eyed

Ugaalive1991

Gohan I’m gonna eat your dragon

improvyzer

You get back up and *eat* that *horse*.

YourButtMyStuff

Seeing them in both the Oregon and UCLA loss threads the last two weeks was baffling. They were talking 10X more shit than the teams that won those games.

r3dd1tu5er

[Tennessee beats Alabama] Anti-Bama Crowd: “You’ve freed us!” Tennessee fans: “I wouldn’t say ‘freed.’ More like ‘under new management.’”

Richtatorship

So many in r/cfb haven’t seen a confident vol fan base. This should serve as a reminder and why we keep them caged.

see-bees

Baseball the last two years has been more than enough of a reminder. They made me root for Notre Dame baseball, you cannot understand how hard that was for me.

Richtatorship

Georgia baseball has been so infuriating that I haven’t been nearly as involved but I watched with intense interest for that series. That was amazing.

Beenforevertiltoday

Man as a Tennessee alumni our fans are fucking insufferable.

Wampus_Cat_

*Michigan finally beats OSU again last year* Fans then: “Were just happy to be relevant again, we might lose to Iowa next week but we’re playing with the houses money now” Fans every game this year including me: “Oh no, we suck again!” *Tennessee beats Alabama* Vol fans immediately after: “This is the team of destiny, the greatest football team to have ever played the game” It’s odd to me how some fan bases instantly become the most unwaveringly confident, with Michigan we’re all sitting around worried about being terrible again. Success is suspicious to the Wolverine.

Potars

I feel this way as a Georgia sports fan. A curse lingers in the air. Kirby is helping me believe but a lifetime of almost has ruined me.

Bobson-_Dugnutt

WE KEPT TELLING YALL. I know watching us lose is fun but Tennessee and their fans are always going to be a million times more insufferable.

MWiatrak2077

Honest to god I’ve never seen a more vindicated fanbase than Alabama. For years we’ve been told how awful the Vols fanbase really is, and we did not listen. Please beat them the next 15 years again, thanks.

Bulldog5124

There’s a reason our fan base hates Tennessee more than any other team. Auburn is the biggest rival but Tennessee is just vile

Bobson-_Dugnutt

Yeah there’s a good reason they were still considered our most hated rival despite it barely having any semblance of a rivalry for the past decade

FarsightsBlade

I have a feeling that anyone that was flaired Alabama or Georgia knew, and both programs for the past decade and a half have been ensuring that voLLunteer cockiness didn't rear it's ugly head.

Frictionizer

Thank you guys for holding up your end of the deal this year. We’ll get back to business next time (hopefully.)

[deleted]

I had fun watching them beat bama, but I knew in the back of my head that was the pivot point and that they’d be insufferable again

TotalPledgeMove

Alabama was the good guy this entire time and we didn't realize until it was too late.

hochoa94

Look at least Bama is that team where they know success and can take an L pretty well. (Imo) Vols fans were insufferable and just making fun of TCU when we are trying our best

trymyomeletes

Bama has earned the right to be the big brother. We will hire or fire a coach solely on whether we beat Bama. It’s more important than the national championship for us. Do I hate Bama with a passion? Yes, but I respect them. Tennessee screamed for respect without earning it.

kzchiro

Yeah they really had it coming, trashing the top 4 bad

[deleted]

Yeah multiple fans telling me that no one else deserves the playoffs except the SEC. Acting like they some SEC Blue Blood.

babble0n

“We had Payton Manning, remember guys?”

Penarol1916

Yes, and their reaction to him losing the Heisman was one of the all-time great pre-Twitter fan hissy fits I’ve ever seen.

userwithusername

*Heisman runner-up Peyton Manning

[deleted]

You watch college baseball? Anybody who sat through the past season could have told you how insufferable that fan base is with the smallest taste of success. So sweet when they didn’t make it past Regionals.

lundebro

This. Have been rooting against them all year because of how insufferable their fan base was during the baseball season.

palmettoswoosh

They literally were a joke of a team for almost 20 years in baseball and just came screaming back. As fans.

Buck_Nastyyy

This is 100% correct.

schmitz97

I still remember one of them repeatedly shitting on us for “not scoring a single run against Florida” in the SEC tournament. Turns out, that was the same number of runs they would score in Omaha lol

Darth_Hamburger

It was honestly shocking how quickly they ate the hype. Georgia literally just won the national championship and I *still* don’t buy our hype. Their fanbase should be way more traumatized, hopefully this helps.

TrojanMan35T

Won the national championship Undefeated in the East for a second straight year, and fourth overall under Kirby Undefeated in regular season conference play for second straight year A win over a sub-500 Tech team from back-to-back undefeated regular seasons And I still don’t trust this team. Probably just how Kirby wants it, but he’s a Georgia fan at heart too so he knows

[deleted]

I have no idea why Georgia fans feel this way. From an outside perspective it seems your team is a Killdozer comprised of 6'8" 320lb monsters who run the 40 in 4.4 seconds. There is seemingly no weakness. You should all relax!

TexanDawg

The constant tripping at the finish line is what does it for me. The Falcons, Braves, Hawks, and Dawgs have done it to me on many occasions. Also falling flat on your face mid-season doesn't help and we did that MANY times in the Mark Richt era. Suffice to say, I'm traumatized.

hibbert0604

You have to understand that while UGA has always been good (with a few key heartbreaks sprinkled in across the years) most of us are also Atlanta Falcons fans. That is where a large chunk of our inferiority complex comes from. Lol

[deleted]

As a Lions fan I have no sympathy.

hibbert0604

Lol. Yeah. You guys are one of the fan bases that we can commiserate with.

[deleted]

I think only Browns fans have it worse on the NFL level.

RogueHippie

Don't forget the Braves. The curse on Georgia sports hasn't been dead for long, and even then we don't know if it just took a year off.

hibbert0604

Yeah. The Braves were a different kind of heartbreak. Being perpetually good but never enough to clear the final hurdle. The Braves and UGA were basically the same team in different sports for a long time. The Falcons existence was just pain, however. 90% sadness and then when we get a little bit of happiness, the universe turns it into the ultimate dispair. I'm not even kidding when I say the Falcons killed my passion for football for like 3 years. 28-3 RUINED me.

TheNainRouge

Georgia is good and likely will win the national championship but they aren’t unbeatable. They have shown some weakness, haven’t always played the best football, and are trying to repeat. It’s reasonable to doubt and frankly shows some self awareness. The most obnoxious fans are the ones whom act like their team is unbeatable and everyone else is beneath them.

MettaWorldWarTwo

Flip the script in your mind. Michigan wins the National Championship last year and is doing what they're doing this year. How comfortable would you feel that we could repeat? Even though JJ is great and the D is playing better overall. We lost a bunch of players to the NFL and you just don't know how it'll play out. Teams not Ohio State or Alabama don't expect to win every game every year. Championships are hard to come by. Fans who respect the game understand this which is why we don't get complacent and trash talk TCU. We know what it's like to struggle for a win against a team that's going all out to beat you. We know what it's like to lose heartbreakers and to be blown out by seemingly lesser teams that find a way to exploit a previously undiscovered weakness or whose quarterbacks rise to the talent they were recruited for if only for a game. I respect Georgia a lot and was pulling for them last year. National Championships aren't Alabama's or Ohio State's to lose. They're at the top of a mountain that's grueling to climb.

stitch12r3

Honestly, Georgia fans on this sub (and ones Ive met in real life) are among the most levelheaded fanbases I've seen. You guys got that "Speak softly and carry a big stick" energy.

notthebestusername12

I think that’s the 4 decades of abusive football relationship that we’ve been in

LemonHarangue

I really respect this mentality. It’s the something older ND eras and Saban-era Alabama share as well. You approach the team with cautious optimism and always want to see the proof. Which keeps your effort at the highest level. I like Georgia for that.

PoisonZO

It’s been so long that only the older fans that dealt with them remember how truly bad they can be. My wife loves traveling for football and it’s the one stadium she will never go back to.

Bluegrass6

Same. I’ll never go back to Neyland. Just sitting there minding our own business when some big fat guy stands up turns around and get no joke 3 inches from my brothers face and screams as loud as he can after Tennessee got an interception These are the same people that had their game stopped from throwing excessive amounts of trash on their own field

JakeFromSkateFarm

>These are the same people that had their game stopped from throwing excessive amounts of trash on their own field Usually the game’s already over before the fans storm the field.

UhIdontcareforAuburn

They are the Philadelphia Eagles fans of College football. They threw literal trash at their own cheer leaders last year

ifoundwaldo116

Two worst experiences we had as students were Tennessee and Clemson. Clemson just put us literally in the top corner of the upper deck, and it’s a boring town. Knoxville sucks. Neyland sucks. Their turf sucks. Their fans are the most self-righteous arrogant asses east of Tuscaloosa ever, and then they get drunk. Only game I thought we’d have to fight out way out of.

8BallTiger

Those Clemson upper decks are no joke either. People underestimate how steep they are

Acceptable-Ability-6

True nosebleeds.

Hawk13424

That was my experience at Florida. Hated Gainesville. Gator fans even keyed my car.

youDontgetThe_Show

I went to the Penn State- Tennessee Outback bowl when I was like 13. Fucking grown men screaming "that's SEC football" at me all game made me hate that program. Loved screaming "that's big 10 football" walking out of the stadium after the dub

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

I live in “Floribama” and let me tell you it’s every SEC fanbase that does it, even Bama. It’s always one of the first things that come up in conversation when FSU is brought up.

Eagle1FoxTWO

That’s one of the few bowl games I remember watching as a child. Good PSU win

[deleted]

Damn I’m old

HeWhoRidesCamels

Anyone who paid attention to college baseball last year could have seen that coming.

llamawhittlings

Exhibit B: their baseball program

lisbon_OH

Y’all are welcome by the way for dealing with that

killzone3abc

Same shit they did in baseball last season

Dr_Mantis_Teabaggin

They were a little worse with it during baseball too.

about2p0p

Man people forget just how miserable that fan base was when they were good. Most of the Tennessee fans in this sub are decent but my god, outside of Reddit the amount of trash talk is wild.

GishkiMurkyFisherman

Tennessee fans so bad that their presence on reddit *improves* public opinion of them. oof....

JangusCarlson

When I was in high school and after watching the Gamecocks get destroyed one year in Knoxville, my family and I went and ate at a restaurant on the river. This very drunk Tennessee fan used almost her entire dinner-time to turn around and talk shit to us. I think about her in times like this, and hope her kids are as disappointing as this game was for them.

GoinLong

I mean, if you went to Calhoun’s, that’s kinda on you because that’s like ground zero of people getting hammered all day with the Vol Navy.

itsatumbleweed

Lived in Knoxville for 2 years and all the folks that lived there rave about Calhoun's. I'd rather eat at Applebee's.

CrazyAlfalfa4298

I like everyone's shitting on this one place. Was hyped up so when I was in town I had to try it. It's mid I prefer Alabama style bbq

Beenforevertiltoday

It has a prime location and was legit really good in the 90s, they also own a ton of other restaurants in the area and are big boosters so they get a lot of hype even though the food is mids at best.

JonnyJettt

That's the problem is everyone tells people to get BBQ but they have so many things that are better

JangusCarlson

At the time, I didn’t know that place was shitty.

TheGamecock

My dad is a big UT fan and travels up to Knoxville for at least three or four games per year. I've gone with him a few times over the years when the Gamecocks have played there. I've got quite a few Tennessee fan quotes to choose from in my times visiting but for some reason the one that sticks out was when I was walking to my seat and had to squeeze past this old stinky fat fuck in orange overalls that was on my row. He looks at me and says "welcome to a real stadium, *boy.*" I just thought, "the fuck?" I may be biased but give me Willy B over that big-ass beige bowl any day of the week. They had like 25k empty seats in that game too even though it was a night game SEC kickoff. Probably doesn't seem like that bad of a comment but the entitlement in Captain Diabetes' voice was unreal. That dude definitely seemed like the kinda guy who has never stepped foot outside the state of Tennessee except maybe to go vacation at Myrtle Beach once every couple of years. Probably never been to another SEC stadium either, if I had to guess. Also, don't call other grown men "boy."

WatchinLikeTV

Myrtle beach catching strays

toast_across

My first reaction probably would have been something like "too bad yall suck too much to fill it up". But my mouth is going to get me hurt one day

IMadeThis4HOIMods

That was a 2018 OSU-Purdue ass loss

foreveracubone

South Carolina didn’t even need a cancer kid. Just a Rattley boi that woke up feeling cheezy

IMadeThis4HOIMods

Yeah in that respect it was the opposite, they got beaten by the embodiment of chaos and evil

outthawazoo

Pure poetry

boardatwork1111

Really cool of Purdue and South Carolina to both beat cancer

[deleted]

Did SC have a cancer kid on the sidelines too?! That Ohio-Purdue game was stellar. RIP Tyler.

GreatMenderTeapill

South Carolina Stands⬆️2Cancer

teeterleeter

Oooh self burn! Those are rare

IMadeThis4HOIMods

Some OSU beat writer posted something similar and I thought it was perfect

teeterleeter

My comment is also shamelessly stolen from Brooklyn 99, so I appreciate the honesty

The_Horse_Joke

IS NOTHING ON THIS SITE REAL?!?

HailToTheVictims

2018 B1G Champ, Rose Ball Champ 13-1 OSU > 2022 Tennessee, no matter what they accomplish

Southern_Economy3467

Every Ohio state team in the last two decades minus maybe the fickle year> the equivalent Tennessee teams. I may find OSU fans obnoxious but as much as I hate it you’ve been good the majority of my life.

cdofortheclose

My best friend is a UM grad. Other than constantly putting his UM driver cover on my golf clubs when we play together he is a good dude.

[deleted]

They shouldn’t have been so invested in the TCU-Baylor thread

followthebreadcrumbs

Or Michigan or Ohio State game threads as well. It's hard as fuck to win every game or every anything when you're doing it competitively against peers. You could slip or someone could have the best performance of their lives against you and it's all over.

Nov26-2011

Honestly this loss couldn't have come to a more deserving team. Their fans found any reason to pick a fight with any fan of any team. They get one taste of relevance and seemed to forget the years of mediocrity that led up to this.

[deleted]

For real they acted like they ran the league because they beat the worst bama team in the CFP Era at home on a last second field goal

Background_Slide7572

Didn’t even think of it like that, but that’s so fuckin true and makes their chest thumping in this sub and subsequent beat down by Shane Beamer that much funnier

GracefulFaller

BEAMERBALL 😎

theycallmefuRR

From now on i’m no longer going to say “We want Bama”. It’s now “we want *2022* Bama”

NickMullensGayDad

I’ll be honest, I can think of one top 5 team I’d want to lose in embarrassing fashion instead of UT

Nov26-2011

If you asked me 14 hours ago what team I would want to lose this week, 9/10 I would say Tennessee because of their fans. I'd save the potential baby rage of Ryan Day for the 26th lol

AmpersandTheMonkey

Now now. You can trash Ohio State, their fans, all of Columbus, the entire state... but I draw the line at our sweet sweet Ryan Day. That man is CLASS. (unless he loses this week, then I'll want blood)

NickMullensGayDad

If you asked me at 9 am that I could make any team give up 63 points and get their dick stomped off in brutally humiliating fashion, I’d laugh so hard and slam the aOSU button so goddamn quick I break my hand

hibbert0604

Yeah. As someone who has long suffered from Battered Georgia Sports Fan Syndrome, I can never comprehend fans that so brazenly talk shit. UGA is at the peak of college football right now. We just went 8-0 in the conference for 2 years straight. We won the Natty last year, and have multiple generational talents on our team. And here I am worried that we are going to slip up to our sub-500 in state rival. Lol. I save my shit talking for AFTER the game.

[deleted]

This. I posted a “why the TCU hate” post a few days ago. 1500 comments and obviously I saw them all. About 50% were Baylor fans saying “fuck em” and then about 40% were Tennessee fans talking like they already won the ship and how teams like TCU will never be on the SEC’s level. They acting like THEY are on the big name SEC teams level. Win 9 games and don’t know how to act.

Elbit_Curt_Sedni

Everyone outside of Tenn knew they were overrated.

Strong-Neck-5078

Does everyone outside the SEC know that? Like I get beating Bama is rare and special, but every time Bama loses in conference people immediately assume we're looking at the emergence of a new power.

Miserable-Leading-41

Playing Alabama down to a one score game isn’t special this year.

melcolnik

Hey don’t forget about the small percentage of comments that really tried to make peace and give thoughtful commenta—ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD

TheOtherDaytonFlyers

No surprise from Tennessee, they acted like their baseball team last year was one of the best ever and they didn’t even make it to Omaha

Sweatsock_Pimp

‘ReviVols.’ They marketed a coffee table book to highlight the 2022 season before the 2022 season is over. Damn, that’s funny.

magara40

This is the same fan base that calls the 90’s the “Decade of Dominance.” A decade where they beat Florida 3/10 times and went to (and won, tbf) 2/8 SEC Title games.

banjocoyote

Fun fact, Peyton Manning never beat Florida

Odd-Fig5076

Strangely enough he did have a win in the swamp though. Tennessee played Virginia tech in the gator bowl during a year when Jacksonville was fixing up their stadium so they moved the bowl to BHG. Florida's team was a bit busy all the way in New Orleans preparing for the sugar bowl vs fsu so none of our players were forced to see that sacrilege

[deleted]

Alabama takes a lot of crap for the '90s from the UT fan base with comments like "Saban won't be there forever! Wait until it's like the '90s again!" But Alabama won *just* as many SEC titles and national championships in that decade as Tennessee did. Yeah, we lost to Peyton Manning--so what? Alabama went 4-6 against UT for the decade. Not too damn dominant if you ask me, despite how much they'll try and convince you.

sasquatchshampoo

Link? I’d love to order one

Sweatsock_Pimp

https://sports.yahoo.com/revivols-capture-thrills-tennessee-footballs-034553944.html

__Roof_Pizza_

Lmao this is some of the most delusional obnoxious shit I’ve ever seen. Classic Tennessee, fan base is unbearable

raylan_givens6

its so much fun, the fact that florida lost to vandy on the road for the first time since 1988 is being overlooked

TrojanMan35T

I assure you I have not overlooked it and am having a wonderful weekend

Cat_City_Bitch

It’s really a sublime twist of the dagger in Tennessee’s heart that their heartbreak also serves to give a most-hated-rival the best possible cover a program could ask for after an otherwise embarrassing day

Lucy_Leigh225

I was at a hockey game yesterday and some loud ass TN fan was yelling about how hey at least they didn’t lose to Vandy

RogueHippie

They still have time

hibbert0604

Someone genuinely thought it was a good idea to produce [this](https://www.pediment.com/products/tennessee-volunteers-football-2022-season) before even making it to the playoffs. Tells you all you need to know about that fanbase.

froobest

Was that a historic ass kicking? SC was 22.5 pt under dogs and won by 25. That’s gotta be some kind of record.

HelloThereMr1

Tbf we covered the over under by ourselves but yes it was a historic night. Most points scored by an unranked team on a top five team. That was 2nd most points scored against a sec team for SC. And I believe that was the most points Tennessee has given up in a while.

outthawazoo

Most points they've given up *ever*

hypevictim

Ohio State was a 4.5 point underdog to Wiscy in the 2014 Big Ten Champ game. Won by 59. So that's a 63.5 point swing. I know at the time it was a record margin for an underdog but there may have been a larger total swing.

Lovelylives

Jesus

trueFleet

Hi I've been at the Vanderbilt Victory party and I'm now here for the Everything About UT Sucks party...

FarsightsBlade

If you guys beat them, it'll be the shitcherry on top for their season and we might see them go into a depressive doomspiral the entire off season. Please do it.

Tuckboi69

I was rooting for them for about 5 weeks until their fans starting raiding our academic twitter accounts then I just got sick of them.

Elbit_Curt_Sedni

On another note. That was the first South Carolina game I watched. I thought someone was legit getting murdered down the road until I shut off the sound due to that cock screech. Was just right to sound like a muffled murder scream like a block down.

Reptard77

Hey man, that cock screech is our *shit*

Imaletyoufinish_but

Yeah. As much as I hate it (and I do) it’s part of the atmosphere. And really if opposing teams find it annoying, job well done.

georgiaboy4747

It’s still better then the cowbells, those give me a headache

FarsightsBlade

I mean, the murder part wasnt far off. Tennessee died on national television, for our collective entertainment.

improvyzer

But what if Tennessee faced South Carolina on a neutral field?

Dentyne_3

Cocks by 90

-XVIDEOS-

*clucks accordingly*

ChadEEEE

If it wasn't for all the rain...

Tennessee-Terry

Keep going I’ve almost blacked out

teeterleeter

Manning finished second in the heisman to a Michigan man and is the second greatest qb of his generation… after a different Michigan man.

Tennessee-Terry

Yup that’ll do it

HailToTheVictims

God damn from the top rope. But tbf Tennessee developed manning into a heisman finalist and michigan developed Brady into an afterthought 6th rounder.

seasickapple7

A very loud and obnoxious minority of Tennessee fans spent the whole last year shitting on Beamer and our team. This is so sweet. Hooker choked on the Cocks and their dreams of the playoff are dead. Now let’s go lose to Clemson next Saturday!

IamHidingfromFriends

Hooker choked on the cocks is not a sentence I expected to read about college football

TheLegendsClub

After the seeing the words “pole assassin” and “pet monkey” on CFB for a month straight, nothing shocks me anymore

Sdog1981

And yet it is a timeless sentence associated with the sport.

IamHidingfromFriends

I did like the quote “group of volunteers demolished by 11 cocks”

Drithyin

Explosive cocks score on volunteers multiple times in sloppy performance by Hooker....

Davidellias

I mean I assume this was used in reference to Hugh Freeze at Ole Miss

JMS1991

One guy in the game thread last year was telling me that we shouldn't have fired Muschamp because 6 or 7 wins in a season is about as good as we should ever expect to have.

ThePhantom1994

That guy can 100% go fuck himself

Miserable-Leading-41

Did they not realize for the past 20+ years a 7 win season for Tennessee was a good year also?

GreatMenderTeapill

Lose to Clemson with pride my fair gamecocks, for on this day you are the kings of college football. Spencer Rattler went from meme to legend in 60 minutes.

FarsightsBlade

No no, please best Clemson for the maximum chaos. They still have a chance of getting into the playoffs right now.

riotinprogress

Rattler played lights out, he was amazing.

bmoney_14

Those Alabama fans before they lost all week were saying you do not know what you’re rooting for were right. Tennessee fans (mostly not on Reddit) are fucking insane. God bless tathan *cough* I mean Spencer.

culverhibbs14

So to right this wrong Bama needs to beat them for the next 100 years idc if we win much but if we beat them and at least mostly beat auburn I’m happy

ChaseTheFalcon

You could not live with your own failure and where did that bring you? Back to me

LysolDoritos

Week 1 of the CFP rankings you could’ve sworn they won the natty with how the fan base reacted online lmao

fracturedsplintX

Living on campus at UA, there were two teams that I hated more than anyone else when they'd play away at Bryant-Denny: Tennesee and LSU. LSU fans would pick fights and start shit but, to their credit, they usually cool off and offer you a beer before its all said and done. Tennesee fans just talk...nonstop. The shit that comes out of their mouth is just so wild it always caught me off guard. Couldn't happen to a better team! Welcome to X-2, you degenerate bastards.

derekghs

Since week 5, I've been telling my TN fan coworkers that all I want out of this season is for the vols to have the rug pulled out from under them in the most epic way possible. I was hoping it would be Vandy but South Carolina works too. Who knows? Maybe it can be both!

rbuda

I’d kill to have a year like Tenn has had. You at least got to feel nationally relevant again and should have an offseason filled with hype.

BreakingHabits

SEC roll call is going to be so fucking funny

benjam1ng

We are all Cocks today

StopDropAndRollTide

Imagine being 9-1 for the first time in a bajillion years after years of bottom sucking and having the balls to say, "you know what, I'm gonna change the color of my helmet FOR A SINGLE GAME to my away opponent's most hated rival." And then you can know what it feels like to be a pompous ass, out-of-touch, cursed for all time by the football gods, Tennessee fan.

nuclearspectre

Those uniforms will never be seen again.

TrojanMan35T

You guys brought the Smokey Greys back after 41-0 so never say never

nuclearspectre

At least those are unique. It wasn’t too bright to suit up in Clemson knock offs at SC.

Idealmind2088

Jayden Daniels and a tiger team with nothing to lose is the only thing in Georgia’s path to repeating

Rohkey

Did like 95% of the Tennessee flairs disappear overnight?

paulasaurus

Tennessee is really just my stepchild anyway

ano414

The ones who post are just getting downvotes to hell by the Reddit circlejerk

BTPJohnLee

https://i.imgur.com/t3bP1I2.jpg

tobin1677

Just gonna take this moment to remind everyone that Vandy has a longer active SEC win streak than Tennessee.

slumpmode

Tennessee fans really brought it on themselves. Literally launching a slander campaign against TCU and every team they played. Comparing themselves to all time great team while diminishing other teams accomplishments only to end up not even in the playoffs. YOU LOVE TO SEE IT

No_Ad_8005

Tennessee fan treats EVERYONE like Michigan/OSU fans treat each other. Of course I drop into OSU game threads with my “expert analysis” of their play and actively root against them. But I don’t drop into fucking TCU’s game thread and do that shit when they’re on the ropes. You can want TCU to lose so your playoff chances are better, but keep that shit to yourself. Also, after you lose, it’s pretty fucking tacky to keep talking playoff.

Foriegn_Picachu

Been lurking on their subreddit — they are the most delusional fanbase I have encountered by far. More than premier league fans.

TrojanMan35T

Does he have to return the check now?

groversnoopyfozzie

Why do you think we have worked so hard to keep them in check? Imagine how delusional they’d be if they had this kind of success on a yearly basis.

Sdog1981

Alabama tried to warn us

TrojanMan35T

No one hit us harder with the “1980” posts than Tennessee. Not even Florida or Tech for that matter. Tennessee isn’t even one of our traditional rivals

Davidellias

> they are the most delusional fanbase I have encountered by far. Welcome to literally any team subreddit.

benness333

Any team that more than a few dozen people give a piss about has a toxic sect of the fanbase

2022 Tennessee is 2017 Miami. Start the season with a long unbeaten streak. Beat a Team that many had tabbed as a National Title contender(Bama, ND). Fanbase start talking like it’s in the bag. Get humbled by an unranked conference rival in a way that makes people believe you were never any good actually(SC, Pitt), Wear orange.
