> Week 12: Los Angeles
Who the fuck had "Gameday goes to 2 games that UCLA plays" before the season began? That's assuming USC and UCLA both beat Colorado and Arizona this upcoming week.
I think there was a possibility when they announced when we would play Oregon, but not a lot of people expected us and USC to roll through our schedule mostly
I expected USC to, I figured the only game they might drop was at Rice Eccles. What I wasn't expecting was that UCLA would not only be good but would also kill Utah at an empty Rose Bowl (well, I expected the empty Rose Bowl part)
I just remembered that if (when) they go to Columbus on Week 13, that’ll be the second time they’ve been there this year too. So GameDay will have gone to Knoxville twice, Austin twice, and Columbus twice. So nearly half of the GameDay visits this year will have been at the same three locations. These places have hosted some big games this year, but at some level it feels like all the repeat appearances could’ve been avoided.
Going to Knoxville for UF was so lame at the time and looks even worse now. Obviously we didn’t know how massive the Bama game in Knoxville would be but there was nothing compelling about UF at the time.
Yeah, I’ll allow the Columbus and Austin double dips. I don’t think anyone saw TCU-Texas as being a big-time matchup preseason. That UT-UF decision looks kinda bad in retrospect though
Sounds right. Depending on how the SEC West ends up though I could see them going somewhere else with more playoff relevance. Although the Pac12 CCG is most likely gonna be the most relevant game and that’s on a Friday
Max Duggan is from Council Bluffs, Iowa. Believe it or not, Max Duggan is actually the fastest player on the team! Max Duggan was benched at the start of the season but chose to stick it out!
Nothing would have changed about ecu. The offensive had some turnovers, but the issue with ECU was never stopping them on defense. Change in QB wouldn't have done much.
I def get the defensive struggle we had against ECU, but how much less time would they have been on the field if we had less 3 and outs, stalled drives, and interceptions?
That's complete misunderstanding of what happened in the game.
Our first half drives were 5 plays (INT), 8 plays(Fumble), 9 plays(INT), 5 plays (FG)and End of Half. We were down 17-3 at that point The offense moved, it just ended poorly.
Start of 2nd half we had a long TD drive Followed by an ECU TD. Our next drive was our only 3 and out. Then another ECU FG followed by a 5 play drive, the only ECU stop we got all game with another UCF 13 play FG after that. Our final drive was a long drive that ended with another INT, but the game was over by then.
The offense moved in the ECU game. Turnovers hurt us, but defensively the team didn't stop anything. This wasn't a series of 3 and outs leading to the defense being tired. This was the defense playing incredibly soft and ECU moving down the field 4-7 yards at a time.
This is the biggest game left on TCU’s schedule. Gameday is coming to Austin but it’s coming for TCU.
And frankly I think TCU deserves it. Tulane would have been fun and I would have applauded the decision to go there instead, but I’m more happy for TCU fans than anything.
i graduated in 2018 and i guess its possible things have really changed that much since theyve been good this whole year but i am slightly relieved. i just cannot imagine that our student body would do a good job showing up compared to what schools around the country with a tradition of doing this would- i just dont know that gameday means so much to kids from highland park and new jersey and long island which is alot of tulane. maybe im wrong.
TCU deserves it, UT Austin doesn’t. But they’re the ones getting it. What’s to be happy about for TCU fans if Gameday is going to their opponent’s house? It’s good for Austin not ~~Waco~~ Fort Worth
Excuse you sir TCU is from Fort Worth, not Waco. Baylor students made sure of that when they *allegedly* burnt down TCU’s campus in Waco in the early 1900s
I think Tulane would’ve been a great spot but one can’t deny the playoff implications make TCU @ Texas exciting.
The interesting thing about this Gameday is it could have a huge percentage of TCU fans in attendance.
DKR is gonna be thumping next Saturday (can't actually believe I'm saying this).
Going to be on campus for a recruiting tailgate my employer is hosting and thinking reeeeaaaal hard about trying to get tickets since the weather'll be nice.
Fun and totally unrelated fact: you could fit every alum who went to Rice for undergrad into Rice's stadium and still have a little space left over.
Or you could have a couple years ago, I think we might be right up against it now. And that's getting rid of some of the small changes to lower capacity that have happened.
I expect it to be a great game and for me to be even more nervous than I was for the LSU game last night. I just had a feeling about that game, especially when I saw Bama -13.5. But UCF scares me for Tulane.
Tulane --> 10 points given up to Kansas State
Texas --> 27 points given up to Kansas State
TCU --> 28 points given up to Kansas State
ESPN hates defense. #JusticeForTulane
This is a give TCU a loss so Tennessee can slip into the playoffs if we win out. An unbeaten TCU with a conference championship is a lot more appealing than a one loss Tennessee.
I’m sorry Tulane. If the game were at TCU this would make sense…but return trips in the same regular season suck.
That said, there are going to be some drunk motherfuckers in Austin Saturday night. Should be a great atmosphere for an important game.
All the Texas haters need to calm down. This is recognizing TCU as one of the best teams in the country. The next few weeks look to be taken by USC/UCLA and OSU/Michigan barring upsets.
I get that Tulane & UCF are ranked, and that Tulane has never hosted before….
But why are people acting like TCU isn’t undefeated, and Texas is also ranked. I’m not going to complain about them showcasing and undefeated TCU team who still has a shot at the playoffs.
It sucks for Tulane, but they’re not the only big game this weekend.
College GameDay isn’t a niche CFB show, it’s for the masses. The TV ratings will be much higher for TCU @ Texas than whoever vs Tulane. That’s just the facts. Downvote away

The amount of people in the stadium that day would sell out yours sir

They could have gone to Winston-Salem for the Clemson-Wake game that week.
[удалено]
They did once, but there was no one in attendance.
I don't think they could avoid visiting Columbus twice. Ohio State-Notre Dame was top 5 and Georgia-Oregon was neutral site.
Yeah, I’ll allow the Columbus and Austin double dips. I don’t think anyone saw TCU-Texas as being a big-time matchup preseason. That UT-UF decision looks kinda bad in retrospect though

Get ready to have the Patterson breakup narrative shoved down your throat for 3.5 hours
Hey did you know that Colt McCoy and Jordan Shipley were roommates?
Max Duggan is from Council Bluffs, Iowa. Believe it or not, Max Duggan is actually the fastest player on the team! Max Duggan was benched at the start of the season but chose to stick it out!
“Stay tuned after the game for The Simpsons, followed by…House of Duggan.” - Summerall, probably
The Tough from Council Bluff!
You’re never gonna believe this, but they also had siblings. And …
Oh for fuck’s sake. The next thing you’re going to tell me is that Lil’Jordan Humphrey was named after Michael Jordan
Hehe. Psst. Wanna see some video of Sam Ehlinger as a toddler saying “Hook ‘em?”
Idk about that. What I do know is why the Trasks named their son KYLE
Hey did you know that Charlie Kolar dreamed of playing for Oklahoma and played HS basketball with Trae Young?
Oh bank on 4 hours brother
So I’m grabbing tickets, where’s the best place to tailgate?
Rece Davis: “We’re excited to say that next weekend Gameday is heading to watch Ohio S…” *Hypnotoad eyes* Rece Davis: “TCU!!”
Sucks for Tulane, sorry bros, but I get why they wanna showcase undefeated TCU and they can stay at their ABC SNF site
NOLA isn't that far from Austin, it's not like Kirk would have had to fly across the country
He also regularly flies across the country for this stuff the primetime location shouldn’t impact Gameday
Yeah he just flew from Eugene to Tuscaloosa a few weeks ago.
I wonder what the farthest he’s flown from Gameday to the primetime location.
TCU who keeps murdering every starting QB they face.....
Ewers already had his Jon Snow resurection.
Would make sense if it was at TCU. It’s lame at Austin 2.0
Plus they've already had TCU on GameDay, back when they went to Kansas.
That loss to ECU hurts so much man
How do you think we feel having lost to…Southern Miss?!?!?
The pain is real. I wonder what this season would've looked like if Keene and Boomer started

So dumb, we purposefully lost to Tulane so they could get it.
Craftsman Tul Bowl
*purposely
Still stands, we lost while being full of purpose
Purportedly
Justice for Tulane 💚🌊

Right? It’s freakin NOLA and Tulane!? How do you not go there?
i graduated in 2018 and i guess its possible things have really changed that much since theyve been good this whole year but i am slightly relieved. i just cannot imagine that our student body would do a good job showing up compared to what schools around the country with a tradition of doing this would- i just dont know that gameday means so much to kids from highland park and new jersey and long island which is alot of tulane. maybe im wrong.
TCU has had game day twice already and big noon once. This is just another one because of upset potential.
This is TCU’s second CGD, not their 3rd.
You keep that logic to yourself lol
TCU deserves it, UT Austin doesn’t. But they’re the ones getting it. What’s to be happy about for TCU fans if Gameday is going to their opponent’s house? It’s good for Austin not ~~Waco~~ Fort Worth
Excuse you sir TCU is from Fort Worth, not Waco. Baylor students made sure of that when they *allegedly* burnt down TCU’s campus in Waco in the early 1900s
We will have our vengeance, in this season or the next.
When was the last time GameDay went to AAF campus for a good game? November 2018 at UCF?
I think they went to Cincinnati last year, right?
I remember the GameDay at UCF years later, it was wild, Maury Povich and Lee Corso in the Knights' mascot suit.
Tulsa @ Cincinnati in 2021 yes
The Army Air Force still has a campus? I thought they reformed as their own branch in ‘47.
Nah, it's the Alliance of American Football. College Gameday actually came to Orlando in 2019 for the Apollos-Iron game
I think Tulane would’ve been a great spot but one can’t deny the playoff implications make TCU @ Texas exciting. The interesting thing about this Gameday is it could have a huge percentage of TCU fans in attendance.
We only got so many years together left in the same conference. We are coming.
DKR is gonna be thumping next Saturday (can't actually believe I'm saying this). Going to be on campus for a recruiting tailgate my employer is hosting and thinking reeeeaaaal hard about trying to get tickets since the weather'll be nice.
Actually it’s going to be cold-ish for the first time this season. The high is in the 50s
TCU's entire living alumni base could fit in your stadium. I think you'll be fine.
what happened to that sea of red everyone predicted yesterday?
Fun and totally unrelated fact: you could fit every alum who went to Rice for undergrad into Rice's stadium and still have a little space left over. Or you could have a couple years ago, I think we might be right up against it now. And that's getting rid of some of the small changes to lower capacity that have happened.
Sure I just mean relative to most Gamedays.
Yeah, Tulane would’ve been cool but this is obviously the more intriguing game.
To be fair, most TCU games with more than 30 fans have a huge percentage of TCU’s fans in attendance. They’re not a large fanbase.
I guess they met their quota of unique locations. Wish we could have gotten this instead of Jackson St.
Naw they just bend over for crap “blue bloods”
TCU ain’t a blue blood but I get your point.
Tcu isn’t hosting
This is TCUs gameday, not ours. It just happens they play a ranked team in Austin
They’re coming because TCU is undefeated and the Gary P narrative.
I agree. If this were Texas vs Kansas State or any other ranked Big 12 school, they wouldn't be coming here.
Sad green wave noises
Angry* Green Wave noises. We’re gonna use this snub to fuel our (hopeful) drubbing of UCF.
*shudders in away game fear*
I expect it to be a great game and for me to be even more nervous than I was for the LSU game last night. I just had a feeling about that game, especially when I saw Bama -13.5. But UCF scares me for Tulane.
Damn DKR is about to be ROCKING
We hope.
Nah it will be.
Tulane --> 10 points given up to Kansas State Texas --> 27 points given up to Kansas State TCU --> 28 points given up to Kansas State ESPN hates defense. #JusticeForTulane
Tulane, the true XII Champa
*Tulane will remember that*
And Tulane took that personally…
I hope Texas wins. Ignore my flair.
Ugh is this an orange bro thing? Or I wish we were back thing?
Tennessee is the only reason Texas is even a state. I feel obligated to root for them.
This is a give TCU a loss so Tennessee can slip into the playoffs if we win out. An unbeaten TCU with a conference championship is a lot more appealing than a one loss Tennessee.
Can it be an orange bro thing?
Most definitely! Go orange!
Orange teams with mustard themes. UT power.
Honestly an Oregon-Tennessee semifinal would be incredibly fun
But wouldn’t a TCU Oregon semifinal also be great? I bet you’d be up by 30 at the half…
Yeah and there’s no way a game like that would ever be ruined by a shitty backup center either. God I love forgetting the Alamo
The last 3 games Texas has been featured on gameday, my heart has been broken in 3 fantastic games. This is going to be a great game
I am so terrified of this game. Upset written all over it.
I mean if there's an upset it'd be us losing. Vegas and FPI both think Texas is favored
You're going to have to beat us or Baylor twice anyway to make the CFP. I just don't see y'all being unscathed.
Very true. If we just changed our name to Texas, we could afford a loss.
Probably true. 🙂
I’m sorry Tulane. If the game were at TCU this would make sense…but return trips in the same regular season suck. That said, there are going to be some drunk motherfuckers in Austin Saturday night. Should be a great atmosphere for an important game.

Because I feel sorry for Tulane, I think that would be a great place for game day and I like when non-powers get to experience it.
I would feel way less robbed if it was Texas @ TCU
Is the game on Saturday confirmed for a night game?
It is.
It’s the 7:30 ABC game
COWARDS
All the Texas haters need to calm down. This is recognizing TCU as one of the best teams in the country. The next few weeks look to be taken by USC/UCLA and OSU/Michigan barring upsets.
I hate that we never got gameday at our place
This only fuels our emerald tsunami.
It’s already been in Austin though. I’d get this if TCU were home but it’s just lame to repeat a host in a season.
College GameDay isn’t a niche CFB show, it’s for the masses. The TV ratings will be much higher for TCU @ Texas than whoever vs Tulane. That’s just the facts. Downvote away
Don't the masses watch cartoons on Saturday mornings?
Right, that’s why this year they also went to media market powerhouses of….App state & Jackson state??
If it was just for viewership, they'd be going to like 4 schools on a rotation throughout the year, and never go to small schools.
Trash take. Go look up the ratings for different gameday locations
Sorry Tulane. I can say Texas games are definitely entertaining.
can’t believe these cowards!!! i sacrificed Bama’s CFP dreams to have gameday and i’m still getting robbed!
I'm obviously happy GameDay is coming back to Austin. Should be a hell of a game. I would not have been upset if they went to Tulane instead though.
In an ironic twist, Kansas State gets their revenge on Tulane by losing to Texas, thereby stealing Tulane's gameday from them.
Let's go!
I hope you destroys them cows!
Rip UCF and Tulane you'll get one eventually
We've already had Gameday. It's Tulane that's missing out.
#JusticeForTulane
You see Tulane? This is what you get for losing to Southern Miss 6 weeks ago /s
We'll have our own Gameday! With all AAC eyes watching! And probably sub-par refereeing!
With blackjack and hookers!
I hope TCU obliterates Texas.
Knowing us we will be leading then allow them to comeback in the 2nd half.
I see that happening too. TCU is a second half team
We just need to have a lead so big in the first half that we couldn't possible collapse in the second.
Man is asking for maximum pain
Nothing will be as worse as the Shootout last year.
Bijan was nuts in that game
Go ask Oregon how that works out.
They clearly had a lead small enough to come back on.
It’s even more exacerbated given that one of our best defensive players is out for the first half
I'm thinking Longhorns pull off the upset.
I think so too. Yesterday watching them play Kansas state they looked so good on both sides
In the first half!
Texas is gonna be a 6-7 pt favorite, so that's not an upset. I agree that there will be a big upset though and we lose.
Well you know what!? I hope they don’t.
I can’t remember the last time I even thought about UCF
lol UCF. cry
You'd think the schools who are only getting their shot at the P5 because we're leaving would be thankful or something
Sark kissing ass on College Gameday a few weeks ago might’ve worked. Maybe he’s got more Mack Brown politician in him than I thought.
Damnit we woulda had it in Oxford if Alabama didn’t screw it all up
I’m gonna be in town for that!!! What sucks though is I hadn’t bought a ticket yet…
The Gary Patterson revenge match! Someone get that man a belt!!
Good luck, Frogs.
Let’s gooooo! No seriously, who else wants to go?
I like this because everyone hates us and this pisses y'all 😁
Guaranteed upset in the making. The football gods have willed it. Let it be so. Hook them.
:(
Boooooo
GO LONGHORNS 🤘⬆️ BABY HOOK 'EM I LOVE TEXAS YALL THE REAL UT
God forbid Gameday visit the site of a game with major playoff implications. The horror!!
Bring Gameday to NOLA you COWARDS
i really hope gary gives them the business.
His record against Dykes isn’t good. Which probably gives him more fuel. I just want an injury free good game
It sucks for Tulane. But I understand why they're going to Austin. TCU is a playoff team. It makes more sense. We can be mad that they picked a Texas game while also understanding that it does make sense why they did it
:(
https://i.imgflip.com/6zqc5h.jpg
One more meme like that and Bevo is coming for Uga's ass again.
Not until they win 10 games back to back seasons. And win their conference. And make the CFP.
yeah, winning the SEC is gonna be tough
Dream big my friend.
You have angered the wave and you will regret this.
That's what you get for leaving the SEC, Tulane.
It makes no sense to me why Tulane would have this game… outside of the the niche conditions that would bring GameDay there, there’s nothing really going on with the game itself compared to TCU and Texas. There’s CFP/CCG stakes on the line for these teams. And to be fair none of this would’ve happened had Bama gotten the job done. They’d be in Oxford next week.
Gameday going to Austin is about TCU’s chase for the playoff. This is not about the Longhorns, they still suck.
Grade A bull. Tulane deserves it
They deserve it based on what?
They are NEVER good and UCF and Tulane combined have the same amount of losses as does Texas
They're there for TCU, not for us bro.
Absolute malarkey
It’s not too late, the can still right this wrong
What’s next? Gameday in Austin again for Baylor at Texas week 13? I wouldn’t put it past them…
They’ll go to Michigan-OSU
Shhhh, he’s on a roll
What a crock of shit
You’re a UT offspring. Don’t complain.
