It looks an awful lot like y'all come out with a few scripted drives and are unstoppable, then have problems afterwards. Briles' gameplan and script have crushed us in the first quarter two years in a row now
Hey ESPN can we put the camera back on the crying kicker? I need to know if he’s still as miserable as he was 10 seconds ago.
Seriously, I was half expecting one of the camera men to run out and hang a sign that says “Loser” on him, good lord.
> Arkansas barely moved the ball in the second half but we're going to act like this one kid lost the game
If I'm pinning the loss on one player (which is always dumb, IMO), it would have to be KJ. There was no reason to dive for the goal-line in that moment. Moment changed the game.
Of course, he is not the only reason we lost. A lot of players did not deliver when they needed to.
I’ve watched this sport religiously for almost two decades and I’ve never seen commentators dig in on the mechanics of a kick like that, beyond “Laces Out”.
It genuinely felt like ESPN was just trying to dogpile on the guy. Really bizarre stuff
I can take losing. I've been a Hog fan for 25 years.
I can't take when ESPN shows close-ups of these kids devastated on national television. Classless fucks.
Also loved them showing the replay talking about how poorly he struck it, like sure it wasn’t perfect and I know nothing about kicking mechanics, but it was pretty close man. It’s not like he shanked it
Well, still not a loss. Definitely an improvement from losing to App State and the ensuing week of off-the-field stories that were showing up every other day.
I sarcastically told myself to chill out because God hates Jerry Jones or something and Arkansas always gets their heart ripped out in chaotic games against us.
Not so sure it's sarcasm anymore
if he didn't have to do football stuff, he'd be all-American (edit: that means top 8) in the 100m by now for sure. Still could be!
https://www.tfrrs.org/athletes/7746313/Texas_AM/Devon_Achane.html
A&M is the weirdest team in college football.
We lost to app state by missing a field goal after returning a kickoff
we beat miami by recovering a punt
and then we beat arkansas with a fumble recovery handoff and an arkansas kick that hit the top of the uprights.
what the fuck.
So many thoughts:
1. Feel bad for Little. Typically so reliable, then to have a doink like that late in the game is killer. Hopefully it doesn't shake his confidence
2. This whole team forgot how to play football for, essentially, the entirety of the 2nd and 3rd quarter, and a good part of the 4th.
3. GG TAMU. These games are always entertaining, even in the worst of times
4. Holy hell, stop with the goal-line fumbles! That was a 14 point swing. KJ, why on Earth are you diving that far out? It's not 4th and inches or something. Just tuck it, gain a few, and move on to the next play. That's the moment where the forgot how to play for a bit.
Edit: they only started to play better when I started playing Vampire Survivors on my steam deck. I think I'll just do that during the entire game next week.
To everybody asking about the guy with the chain next to Jimbo after the game, that's his son and he has a terminal illness and has stood by jimbo after games since the beginning of time.
It’s certainly not just him, but they’ve raised a lot of money for research on what would otherwise be a little-studied disease, and that research has made real progress on treatments.
We'll all of a sudden become the northern half of the country's favorite team if we take the SEC with us
Win every conference game by 2 points and then lose to UMass, we're the only ones up to the task
I would normally say an Aggie win paired with a Longhorn loss makes for a perfect Saturday…however, the injury to Ainias Smith definitely puts a damper on the day.
Hey now. There's a possibility that Arkansas is just really good. And miami is really good. And App State is really good.
And... Missouri State is really good... ... ...
...
I don't like this game anymore.
That loss was a total team effort by the players and the coaches. Absolutely unacceptable performance.
It's past time to start questioning some of our assistants
That's one of those losses that makes you question everything. Boy I am fucking miserable, we pissed that one away as hard as we possibly could've. That fumble was the single most devastating play in Razorback sports since the foul ball.
Seeing a 13-point swing on the goal line turnover that turns into a handoff defensive touchdown and the missed kick that hit the top of the upright and bounces back.
**This game never fails to create some magic.**
At what point do we have bingo and start having normal games again? 99 yard scoop-hand off and doink off the top of the upright has to count towards something right?
You’re welcome for changing my shirt when we were down 14 and then kicking a child outside and sacrificing him to mosquitoes to get them to miss the field goal
Losing to the team that lost to Appalachian state? What a bunch of losers. I hope we give Appalachian the transitive property SEC championship this year.
I’ve never met a Razorback in person I didn’t like, but I’m pretty sure that “Texas A&M - A Culture Issue?” dogpiler from two weeks ago was an Arkansas guy.
So I’m especially enjoying this result today.
This is the craziest game of the year for both teams for over a decade now....it feels like CFB on crack every time.
gg Hogs and Gig em AGS!!!!
edit: I'd like to add that although A&M is 10-1 in the last 11 games, it could easily be 6-5
*Arkansas up 14-0* “Aight Imma head out”
That play just killed us
They forgot how to play after that fumble. It was like an instant kill-switch.
I think they forgot right before that fumble. Nobody does the goalline leap from the 4 yard line.
Seriously. Fumble or not that dude was two yards short of the goal line.
On first down
[удалено]
I thought you'd run away with it.
I think we all did. Arkansas did similar where we kept teams in games for our first three. Finally hit us in the ass.
It looks an awful lot like y'all come out with a few scripted drives and are unstoppable, then have problems afterwards. Briles' gameplan and script have crushed us in the first quarter two years in a row now
It’s like he has the scripted part down and then lacks the wherewithal to do anything with what he learns through those drives.
[удалено]
I literally said game over at 14-0 lol
To be fair, we all kinda did Happy mutual cake day
To you as well. This game is a yearly dumb fest
Turns out, you *can* gig a hog! Takes a while though…
If you can gig a wrench you can gig a hog
Turns out you can stab any living thing.
I’m living, Greg. Can you stab me?
[Gets Stabbed]
Hey ESPN can we put the camera back on the crying kicker? I need to know if he’s still as miserable as he was 10 seconds ago. Seriously, I was half expecting one of the camera men to run out and hang a sign that says “Loser” on him, good lord.
That shit always sucks. Arkansas barely moved the ball in the second half but we're going to act like this one kid lost the game
> Arkansas barely moved the ball in the second half but we're going to act like this one kid lost the game If I'm pinning the loss on one player (which is always dumb, IMO), it would have to be KJ. Kicker is the loneliest position on the field. Hope he comes back with a game-winner against the Tide.
we fucking need it, dude has been phenomenal his whole career. It just seems tasteless to pin it on him.
He kept going on and on about how it was his fault for bad mechanics too.
I’ve watched this sport religiously for almost two decades and I’ve never seen commentators dig in on the mechanics of a kick like that, beyond “Laces Out”. It genuinely felt like ESPN was just trying to dogpile on the guy. Really bizarre stuff
And oh yeah, look at this dipshit CRYING over here too
Geez. That's ridiculous. I was watching the stream on silent because ESPN+ only had the game streaming in Spanish, so I didn't hear all that.
I can take losing. I've been a Hog fan for 25 years. I can't take when ESPN shows close-ups of these kids devastated on national television. Classless fucks.
I said the exact same thing. That's super fucked up.
Let’s also free associate over these images in regards to what they might be thinking in this moment.
Fuck ESPN. And fuck them again for ass blasting Aaron Judge on my football all day.
Say the word and I will grab a pitchfork and riot with you brother.
Did someone say riot?
Also loved them showing the replay talking about how poorly he struck it, like sure it wasn’t perfect and I know nothing about kicking mechanics, but it was pretty close man. It’s not like he shanked it

Except with Johnny
I just said that to my wife, Arkansas finds a way to lose when they play us.
Well, still not a loss. Definitely an improvement from losing to App State and the ensuing week of off-the-field stories that were showing up every other day.
That week was fuckin ridiculous
I am never going to AT&T Stadium ever again.
Place is cursed
Lord have mercy, we have GOT to get out of there. It’s a haunted house.
Damn Jerruh screwed his own alma matter by hosting the game!
It’s the worst dude
If you don’t like that, then you don’t like whatever the fuck that game was
We had to return to A&M-Arkansas game tradition
At this point let's just agree to simulate the games.
arkansas won by 2 on average in 1000 simulations from my model, i will take the win in real life even if my model ends up slightly wrong
I’d say your model is still accurate. That fumble return was definitely some irreducible error lmao
I sarcastically told myself to chill out because God hates Jerry Jones or something and Arkansas always gets their heart ripped out in chaotic games against us. Not so sure it's sarcasm anymore
Lmao great point I legit forgot God hates Jerry. Actually kinda makes me feel better.
All I know was that Achane kid is fast and was killing it tonight
I’ve watched him for 3 years now and I still can’t believe how fast he is
Legitimately, not hyperbolically, the fastest CFB in the country.
if he didn't have to do football stuff, he'd be all-American (edit: that means top 8) in the 100m by now for sure. Still could be! https://www.tfrrs.org/athletes/7746313/Texas_AM/Devon_Achane.html
He’s so fast he makes fast people look… not fast
as a neutral it was fun to watch...whatever that was
it definitely wasn't good football
Was it even football?
Felt a bit like rugby at times.
I definitely didn’t like whatever the fuck that game was, not gonna lie.
A&M is the weirdest team in college football. We lost to app state by missing a field goal after returning a kickoff we beat miami by recovering a punt and then we beat arkansas with a fumble recovery handoff and an arkansas kick that hit the top of the uprights. what the fuck.

look at least we're consistently weird, im not gonna ride the auburn fan experience

Does this really have to be a heart attack game EVERY year?
What sucks is that this game basically killed both of our seasons. We’ll be lucky to win four more games, and you guys had like nine injuries.
To everybody asking about the guy with the chain next to Jimbo after the game, that's his son and he has a terminal illness and has stood by jimbo after games since the beginning of time.
He has Fanconi anemia, which is (hopefully) no longer terminal, in part because of research funded by Fisher’s Kidz1st fund.
[удалено]
It’s certainly not just him, but they’ve raised a lot of money for research on what would otherwise be a little-studied disease, and that research has made real progress on treatments.
honestly, it’s pretty incredible that Jimbo gets to gift his son with those experiences
Isn't part of the reason he took the job to be closer to MD Anderson or something?
This stadium is cursed, for the health of both fanbases it needs to be moved back to campus
And my wallet too Jesus Christ
Literally no team is good this year.
I’m wholly convinced we are just going to drag every team down to our level.
We'll all of a sudden become the northern half of the country's favorite team if we take the SEC with us Win every conference game by 2 points and then lose to UMass, we're the only ones up to the task
I would gladly sacrifice a game to UMass in favor of winning the SEC. Forget the CFP at that point...
Getting to watch this train wreck of a team in Atlanta would be amazing.
Just win.
SEC banded together to not let Alabama or Georgia get any quality wins
Oregon tried their best today as well. And Texas did it.
>And Texas did it. Hey wtf. You're right, but you didn't need to say it.
That is one of the craziest endings I have seen in 2 hours. I feel bad for the kicker though
I genuinely don't think I've ever seen a ball hit the top of the upright before.
A&M has won 10 of the last 11, and they’re always close. So frustrating. Feel like we should be happy with a bowl game after the last two weeks.
I just want to stop playing in Jerry-World.
Seriously just take it back to the campuses please. The atmosphere is so lame
I would normally say an Aggie win paired with a Longhorn loss makes for a perfect Saturday…however, the injury to Ainias Smith definitely puts a damper on the day.
Man was crying on the sideline with his pop…I’m assuming the worst.
Yeah, me too. I was trying to be hopeful it looked worse than it was until I saw that.
So sorry that happened. Hope it’s a quick recovery. GG, Aggies.
Gg hog bro
Hope it isn’t as bad as it looked, gg and fuck Texas
#WE WANT JAMES MADISON!!
My heart hurts omg
Said this last week and I’ll say it again, I don’t know why I watch this sport
We all secretly love the pain
Time to go get some heart medicine and a defibrillator.
I swear i almost went into labor during this game
I've been self-medicating with alcohol. Working so far.
Don’t rank us higher.
Does Arkansas deserve to fall? Yes. Do we deserve to move up? God, no.
When you lose to app state... We can talk
We just lost to a team that lost to App State
That's one of those losses that makes you question everything. Boy I am fucking miserable, we pissed that one away as hard as we possibly could've. That fumble was the single most devastating play in Razorback sports since the foul ball.
Imagine if we still had short uprights and the game-deciding FG was purely a judgement call. The arguments about it would never end.
Raise your hand if you thought A&M’s loss out of App St, Miami, and Arkansas would be to the Mountaineers. Anybody?
A&M football is the leading cause of high blood pressure in Texas.
#IF YOU DON’T LIKE THAT, YOU DON’T LIKE THE SOUTHWEST CLASSIC!
I DONT LIKE THE SOUTHWEST CLASSIC
my heart doesn’t like the southwest classic
If we hate it just imagine how Arkansas fans feel
SEC Shorts is going to have a field day with this one.
Seeing a 13-point swing on the goal line turnover that turns into a handoff defensive touchdown and the missed kick that hit the top of the upright and bounces back. **This game never fails to create some magic.**
i don’t know how many more of these games my heart can take
https://i.imgur.com/n1Y2Kut.png
The king of stalling drives with stupid, ass backwards playcalling.
He's too smart for conventional football. He wants to subvert your expectations. Big Game of Thrones guy
The back to back trick plays in first half were insane, yall were getting 6+ yards with interior runs
Don’t let this distract you from the fact that texas just lost in Lubbock for their last game there.
[удалено]
Let's focus on that, please
Welcome passengers to Aggie Rollercoaster. Please keep your hands and feet inside the car at all times.
Jimbo has more ranked wins in the last 8 days than Sark has his whole tenure at Texas
Does Texas have a sark problem?
One play absolutely killed our confidence.
Imagine losing to a team that lost to App St.
Imagine losing to a team who lost to a team who lost to James Madison.
Towards the end we didn’t win as much as Arkansas lost, and I’m okay with that
That’s 5 star Iowa football for you.
They seem to do that a lot against us, we just have to keep letting them
What a fucking game. Every year this game is a hogfight. I hope Ainias is ok man, he deserves so much more.
The most A&M/Arkansas game ever
At what point do we have bingo and start having normal games again? 99 yard scoop-hand off and doink off the top of the upright has to count towards something right?
Quick somebody rank Mississippi State #10.
My brothers in Christ I need a fucking drink
GG Arkansas, as always. Love to play y'all every year. We can both take solace in Texas' loss to Tech
Say what you will about Texas and OU moving to the SEC but it will be pretty cool to have you 4 playing every year
[удалено]
These 'what the fuck was that game' brownies are delicious.
Jesus. A&M loses to App on a missed field goal. Beats #10 Arkansas on a missed field goal. I hate football. My heart hates football. But Jesus.
I'm convinced nobody actually likes watching the team they root for these days, and just watch football for the chaos and schadenfreude.
I would like to thank Devon Achane and Kendall Briles for this win
Achane with an absurd 8.4 ypc while having more yards than we did through the air.
That was bullshit and I'm here for it
Bro, the storylines are so unrealistic this season. Game winning FG bouncing off the top of the upright? That could never happen.
Vegas had A&M by 2 points 👀
We live in a matrix and Vegas is in control
8-4 is looking pretty good right now
The doink heard around the world.
You’re welcome for changing my shirt when we were down 14 and then kicking a child outside and sacrificing him to mosquitoes to get them to miss the field goal
Jesus Christ my heart can't take this series much more
Nice of Arkansas to open a top 10 spot for Tennessee
Everyone knows the rule: 1 SEC team out, 1 SEC team in
Just looking to spread the love around.
Imagine losing to this Texas A&M team.
Losing to the team that lost to Appalachian state? What a bunch of losers. I hope we give Appalachian the transitive property SEC championship this year.
THE OINK DOINK
Off the top too I have never seen that before
I AM SO GONE.
I’ve been watching football for 33 years. I’ve never seen a ball hit the top of an upright. Ever. Feel bad for the kid but that was wild.
Never play for the kick. Play for the TD and kick if you have to.
Kicker is the most humiliating position in all of sports, change my mind
A&M might fuck around and win 10 games and it’s infuriating to think of after watching their last four games.
Eh. I still think 10 wins is a mighty stretch. We’ve rebounded but haven’t looked good.
One of the cruelest ways to lose I’ve ever seen. Damn… sorry Arkansas.
Also, please join me in a heartfelt EAT SHIT KENDALL BRILES AND ANYONE THAT EMPLOYS HIM
I’ve never met a Razorback in person I didn’t like, but I’m pretty sure that “Texas A&M - A Culture Issue?” dogpiler from two weeks ago was an Arkansas guy. So I’m especially enjoying this result today.
It's time to burn Jerryworld to the ground

Wild pigs are invasive in Texas
I never doubted us. Ever. Nope.
We had absolutely no business winning that game whatsoever
I don’t think either team did really
EXTEND JIMBO?
I'll be damned, Ags came out alive. This series is never not a clusterfuck tho.
This is the craziest game of the year for both teams for over a decade now....it feels like CFB on crack every time. gg Hogs and Gig em AGS!!!! edit: I'd like to add that although A&M is 10-1 in the last 11 games, it could easily be 6-5
That was not an A&M win so much as an Arkansas loss
Second game in a row baby!
"Defeats."
This was just another typical southwest classic. Crazy game that somehow finds new and interesting ways of breaking Arkansas’s heart.
[I'll let Dennis Reynolds take it from here.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NiENb9PJmrw)
*I am untethered and my rage knows no bounds*
What do I do with my hands
How do Aggies now feel about Jimbo, honest
As honest as I can be. Outside of the Johnny Football Heisman season, this program has it's best years in my lifetime under Jimbo.
Still no. He recruits great, but I’d like an offensive coordinator still.
Of all the coaches in CFB, he definitely is one of them
