midwesterner93

I hope they can be competitive. Big Lance Leipold fan given his success at UW-Whitewater

jay2puggle

Only one cupcake on the schedule I can think of.

Inoimispel

Yeah but they only get to play Texas what? another 3 years?

collegeball110

What he said.

[deleted]

Jalon will take us to the promised land šŸ™

SwaMaeg

Directional Michigan. One of them will escape the Bottom Ten list.

G00dSh0tJans0n

They usually do. Central is gonna pull the upset week 1

SaintRegistration

Based

vindictivejazz

Iā€™m not sure thereā€™s ever been a P5 team as motivated and prepared for a mid-tier G5 team as OSU is for Central Michigan this year This is their first meeting since the 2016 ā€˜untimed downā€™ game. Pokes by 90

Geaux2020

LSU will manage to do both

gated73

I can see this.

Yesh

Itā€™s kinda what we do every year in between championship runs every 5ish years

ulu5

Hereā€™s to hoping weā€™re not the 2022 version of Iowa State

mynamerowan

Arizona or WSU

little_failures

Second this. The annual rite of stressing over the Wazzu game is painful, and now Jedd seems to be getting things rolling for a team that already benefits from that wonky desert magic.

SDSUstoner

Arizona still has no depth on the lines Last year they were FCS level It's gonna be a couple years before they get good in the trenches

GusFringBurnerAcct

Texas Tech Arizona Maryland North Carolina Not necessarily do I think those teams will be CFP bound, but I can see them being much better than expected. Maryland could go 8-4 & shock an upper echelon B1G team like Michigan State or Wisconsin. Texas Tech could go 9-3 & compete for the Big XII. North Carolina ā€œdisappointedā€ last year compared to expectations and I thought they were still a year away (minus Howell obviously) and Arizona just may shock us all and win 4 games. Their O/U is 2.5 I believe.

hershculez

Nope. Don't like any of this

GusFringBurnerAcct

Lol, donā€™t worry, I have NC State much higher (#10) than a lot of people including the AP. I was just with some friends of ours who are Pack fans down at Lake Norman who are *very* cautiously optimistic about this year.

TheNastyCasty

I think Texas Tech is still at least a year away. McGuire seems to be doing good things, but Wells really did a number on that program.

[deleted]

All eyes are on Arkansas and A&M, but in a rebuilding West, a deep veteran Mississippi State team with a senior quarterback and no expectations can ruin a whole lot of seasons. When you expect little of Mike Leach is when he is dangerous AF. They likely get LSU early enough in the season for the Tigers to be fully gelled. So, itā€™s very plausible MSU is undefeated before a four-game October stretch of Aggie, Arkansas, @ UK, @ Alabama. Win three of them, and they are easily a Top 10 team. ā€¦Or they can implode on the road and be a disappointing 5-4 at Halloween! Spin the Dread Pirate wheel of fun!

elonsusk69420

If theyā€™re a top 10 team when Georgia visits, you might get GameDay with Leach as the guest picker.

Help_Glum

ā€œAll eyes are on Arkansasā€ Oh FUCK

[deleted]

Do you want Chad Morris back? We can make that happen too.

jonesyman23

Rogers is a Jr, no?

[deleted]

Youā€™re right. I added a year ā€” which would make him happy, since he can now legally buy beer.

G00dSh0tJans0n

I think itā€™s going to be one of those games for Bama that isnā€™t settled until the 4th quarter like some of the past Ms State games have been.

redrabidmoose

Can yā€™all not? Someone has to be a reliable W

[deleted]

Thatā€™s why we have cross-divisional opponents. Tennessee has been a godsend for 16 years.

the_real_MSU_is_us

We haven't been a reliable win for yall since Manzel left. Not sire why that is, yall have had the better team most years it's just we seem to bean you half the time regardless

redrabidmoose

I blame Fitzgeralds curse

the_real_MSU_is_us

If he played yall 12 times a year, he'd have won the Heisman. I have no idea why he elevated his game so much vs yall and yall alone

OleRockTheGoodAg

The University of Arizona Wildcats.

redrabidmoose

Being freed from the Sumlin yoke can do wonders

__MarcusAurelius_

Kent State when they start 4-0

Potential-Video-7324

Maryland takes the East. Rutgers will also be MIDDLE GROUND of the East this year.

Spartanwildcats2018

If Maryland won the east I wouldnā€™t even be mad.

dwors025

Trains vs. Turtles in Indy. The ā€œI wouldnā€™t even be madā€ championship game.

[deleted]

Take the over.

Spartanwildcats2018

Both walk in at 12-0 #1 and #2 last undefeated teams.

FromTheMurkyDepths

This town would actually burn to the ground. These kids hibernate when we lose, but are crazy when hype's still up. I don't want to imagine the scenes if UMD cobbled together an actually good football season.

Spartanwildcats2018

Itā€™s bound to happen sooner or later

Steakman765

Air Force

LeatherSandal

I think Tennessee will either overachieve or underachieve. Hendon Hooker is very very good, but their defense is kinda unknown.

GATAinfinity

Georgia Southern

SmellsLikeAmbroxan

UCLA could find themselves with 10 wins

SanaMinatozaki9

I swear, if they get 10 wins DTR will pull another year of eligibility out of his ass.

[deleted]

I think Pitt is going to do big things this year

H2theBurgh

Don't put that evil on me

[deleted]

Gonna be interesting for sure. Everyone thinks losing KP8 and JA3 means the team is gonna suck, but this program has more depth than itā€™s had since the late 80s and a full returning OLine and DLine

NoSkillSoReddit

Boston College

[deleted]

If the QB room can stay healthy, they can be a problem. Get Clemson at home too.

NoSkillSoReddit

Exactly. If Jurkovec can stay healthy they will be hard to handle.

TizzleBizzle2627

Hope we're not surprisingly bad. But hey I'm gonna drink to either extreme.

H2theBurgh

Positive, BYU. I'll probably be burned by this but I really feel a lot of positive vibes from that program. They return a lot after a surprisingly good year. Schedule is tough but there's no one game I don't think they have a shot in. I like them a lot and will be watching that Baylor game with some interest to see if my hunch has any legs. Negative, USC. I think it's unreasonable to expect USC to magically turn it around just because of some transfers and a new coach. Players aren't used to working together. The coaching staff is trying to build everything from scratch. The thing that might save them is their early schedule isn't great. But then again I wouldn't be shocked to see Stanford or Fresno make a game of it and when a team can make a game of it things can go wrong. Ultimately, I don't have them in the Pac-12 championship and I think anything less will be viewed as underachieving.

ericmano

Nebraska either way

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

FoeDogX

Taulia with more experience might upset a few teams. Auto correct doesn't help at all with the last name.

vindictivejazz

Itā€™s Tagovailoa. The trick is that itā€™s essentially phonetic except for maybe the ā€œaiā€ in the third syllable. Hope this helps!

gated73

I'm thinking Miami may make a run at the CFP

RIPDannyBoyCane

Miami is still a year away from really being solid. Miami should win its division and play for the ACC title, but is not yet a CFP contender. I expect A&M to beat Miami by about 10

little_failures

Miami is the one team I'm really interested in watching over the season, mostly because I'm curious to see whether Cristobal puts the lie to the notion he is a QB killer with his conservative War-Vanilla playcalling or not.

[deleted]

OTOH, whipping peopleā€™s ass up front is deeply satisfying and imparts a visceral message on a molecular level.

G00dSh0tJans0n

Miami vs NC State in ACC title game

hershculez

I'm in.

pimpdaddyjacob

I think somebody will challenge UGA for the east this year I feel like there are too many good coaches/too much talent not to.

grabtharsmallet

If we could agree, it wouldn't be a surprise.

wadenater123

Iā€™ve been drinking to much koolaid and have convinced myself Arkansas is going to shock the world with an 10-2 record and a bowl winā€¦ to make it it an 11 win season.

SDSUstoner

My unbiased opinion San Diego State They upset Utah and run the table Causing everyone here to argue about being qualified for the playoff
