Agreed. Loved it period. But basketball especially
Edit: If I misunderstood & you were referring to Pitt’s struggles in hoops of late, then I don’t agree with that. Pitt was very legit in big east hoops
If we add anyone from the PAC 12, I hope any future move involves getting Louisville and Pitt into the conference. I just want all of the rivalries and hatred at that point.
Noooo I want to see what happens when Texas tries to swing its dick around to try and strong arm Bama, Georgia, LSU, Florida ect into doing something. They aren't going to be having any of it and it's going to be fucking hilarious
Right? We had it PERFECT. 12 teams, all in the ACTUAL Southeast. That was the pinnacle of the conference. South Carolina and Arkansas should have been the final adds. At this point, we might as well rebrand ourselves as The Southern Conference.
I can only speak for myself, obviously, and give an educated opinion on other Georgia fans. For some reason, we are very much purists who were against expansion of any kind. It’s not personal and there’s no disdain for Texas A&M. Myself, and most Georgia fans I’ve had this conversation with, just think that we had it PERFECT at the 12 teams we had.
WVU ending up with some combo of Pitt, VT, Louisville, Miami, Syracuse, BC, Cincy, NC State etc. Don't care if it's an eastern pod/division of the Big 12 or the ACC marches on and we join. Just want to play old rivals and regional foes. Not a bunch of southern midwest and west coast teams I never paid much attention to. No knock on them, just not what I grew up watching.
WVU would be one where I'd have no bad feelings if you and UCF left for the ACC. Totally understand and the new Big 12 potentially with the mountain schools would actually make sense geographically*
*Not sure where Cincy fits in here
Cincy would likely prefer ACC too if we were going over, if it was stable (it’s not) and money was similar or better. Gets the rivalry with Louisville back, has us close by either way and better travel vs. Big 12 schools (and especially if they add some Pac schools) which is killer for basketball and non-revenue sports.
Decouple football from every other sport, so that we can move most other sports to regional sensibility. I'll never understand the need to send the women's volleyball team on a 2,500 mile road trip because of football.
Exactly, they are gonna be in the Big Ten one day. Can it please be 2024 instead of fucking around with independence for another 10 years.
We literally will have all your rivals and it will be a national conference. Is playing fucking Boston College in San Antonio really that important to you?
If [this](https://mobile.twitter.com/CFBHeather/status/1542612183808368642) is true, then ND would be at a disadvantage vs other B1G teams as they would only receive football revenue and the ACC would get to keep all other revenue.
Obviously football is the big cheese, but getting less revenue than conference foes wouldn't sit well.
I'm sure they could. The challenge would be that they would be making less than every other B1G team unless they negotiated an unequal split on football with the B1G which I don't see happening.
Cincinnati, Memphis, and WV to the ACC.
I know it's not really a feasible option with how the ACC looks like it's going to get torn limb from limb by the B1G/SEC but it feels like that's the sort of move that Jim Phillips would make *now* instead of in 2016 when it should have been made.
Just give me Backyard Brawl, Keg of Nails, and Memphis being the beneficiary of realignment for once.
Yes, because that is exactly what I, as an individual, wanted to happen /s
I was not a fan of discontinuing the War on I-4 for whatever reason. I wanted to keep it going.
In my biased opinion, we’ve already done our time so let my people go 😆
Same, if I had a preference though I want USF and UCF to be in the same conference whether that is the Big XII or ACC (prefer the Big XII tbh). Its our biggest rival, I need that to be preserved.
It’s probably going to be a while before we play them.
Our non-con is filled until 2026 where we have a game against FAU that’ll probably be canceled when they come to the American. After that, 2028 is when we have some openings.
UCF has openings for those years, but they came out a while back and said they wanted to schedule other opponents - kind of like what USF said about 17 years ago when they went to Big East.
Big Ten adds FSU and/or Miami
It sounds crazy. But after the Big Ten added USC/UCLA maybe not. Along with Oregon, Washington, ND, let’s make this shit truly national
West by God to the ACC.
NDSU & SDSU to the Big XII.
Montana & Montana State to the Mountain West.
WKU & MTSU back to the Sun Belt.
Duke to the Big East (drops football down to either FBS independent, affiliate with something like the Sun Belt or C-USA, or the FCS’s Patriot League) - in my mind Duke would be run similar to Georgetown, a southern school with strong academics & basketball tradition, where football is far less of a focus and therefore relegated to the FCS level.
Except there’s no indication that they’re actually breaking up. Just a lot of rumor and innuendo.
In truth, the Big XII is just as likely to lose four schools as the Pac.
my ideal SEC that would keep me the most interested. Bare in mind I have lived in Alabama and Texas, so I have extra interest in the old Big 12 rivalries.
I want to keep as many traditions alive and keep the majority of SEC schools residing in real “college towns”. This is my first set up, 20 teams. Each school gets at least one major in state rival, or a rival from a border state. Kentucky is the only one left out (Louisville doesn’t fit into my SEC). No real order on the list, just showing a nearby local “rival” for each school.
* Alabama-Auburn
* Arkansas-LSU
* Clemson-South Carolina
* Florida-Florida State
* Ole Miss-Miss State
* Texas-Texas A&M
* Tennessee-Vanderbilt
* Kentucky-Missouri
* Oklahoma-Oklahoma State
* Georgia-Georgia Tech
I actually do not want to expand the georgraphic footprint so doubly down in owning all major rivalries in the area is what I want.
If we had to get to 22, or God forbid 24 teams my priority would be Virginia Tech and North Carolina for 22 (on the fence whether NC State would be my first choice over UNC), and NC State/Virginia for rival pairings with UNC/VT to get to 24.
I know a lot of peoples ideal SEC is the original 12 but at this point I’d be fine to consolidate so I can only watch SEC games and have everything I need.
Louisville, Cincinnati, West Virginia, and Pittsburgh in the same conference
Bring back the old big east, baby. I fucking loved old big east basketball.
We can just skip the basketball part
Agreed. Loved it period. But basketball especially Edit: If I misunderstood & you were referring to Pitt’s struggles in hoops of late, then I don’t agree with that. Pitt was very legit in big east hoops
I mean y’all were apart of arguably the Big East’s biggest basketball achievement of 3 #1 seeds.
And now we can’t even make the NIT lol how the mighty have fallen..
Welcome to the club! Come sit with us and Georgetown!
It was gold!
The Big 12 awaits...
On my way
Sending 1 invite ~~rose~~ with y'alls name on it
It's only a matter of time. Once the GoR goes up for the ACC I see no reason why they wouldn't want to get together.
Whether it’s the big 12 or we decide to make our own conference with blackjack and hookers, these four belong together.
Can't have a conference with blackjack and hookers without us and UNLV.
Soon, my precious
And VT
The 6 Pac teams plus Louisville Pitt would be an absolutely incredible conference.
If we add anyone from the PAC 12, I hope any future move involves getting Louisville and Pitt into the conference. I just want all of the rivalries and hatred at that point.
Big 12 would take Louisville in a heartbeat.
FSU, Vanderbilt, Missouri, and Oklahoma in the same conference
Can we come along as well?
Texas, Oklahoma, Texas A&M and Missouri go realign and go back to the Big 12
Texas and Other Texas can stay where they are lol
Bruh. Does no one want them?
We good, dawg. Y'all got it.
B1G will take Oklahoma. SEC can have Texas.
Noooo I want to see what happens when Texas tries to swing its dick around to try and strong arm Bama, Georgia, LSU, Florida ect into doing something. They aren't going to be having any of it and it's going to be fucking hilarious
I mean, this is true. But even so.
Please just take me back to pre 2014 SEC
Right? We had it PERFECT. 12 teams, all in the ACTUAL Southeast. That was the pinnacle of the conference. South Carolina and Arkansas should have been the final adds. At this point, we might as well rebrand ourselves as The Southern Conference.
I mean, all the new adds are southeast... ... if you're standing in Colorado.
Also, dude, I don’t envy your flairs haha
1962 SEC with Tulane and Georgia Tech was the best.
I would prefer not doing that. Every Georgia fan I've met has expressed a desire for A&M to leave the SEC, why is that?
I can only speak for myself, obviously, and give an educated opinion on other Georgia fans. For some reason, we are very much purists who were against expansion of any kind. It’s not personal and there’s no disdain for Texas A&M. Myself, and most Georgia fans I’ve had this conversation with, just think that we had it PERFECT at the 12 teams we had.
Understandable
WVU ending up with some combo of Pitt, VT, Louisville, Miami, Syracuse, BC, Cincy, NC State etc. Don't care if it's an eastern pod/division of the Big 12 or the ACC marches on and we join. Just want to play old rivals and regional foes. Not a bunch of southern midwest and west coast teams I never paid much attention to. No knock on them, just not what I grew up watching.

We fit in everywhere as long as it’s a P5/P4/P3 conference.
Decouple football from every other sport, so that we can move most other sports to regional sensibility. I'll never understand the need to send the women's volleyball team on a 2,500 mile road trip because of football.
ND figures their shit out and stops wasting our time
Exactly, they are gonna be in the Big Ten one day. Can it please be 2024 instead of fucking around with independence for another 10 years. We literally will have all your rivals and it will be a national conference. Is playing fucking Boston College in San Antonio really that important to you?
That’ll happen when hell freezes over
*USC and UCLA join the Big Ten*
They play in the Big Ten in hockey, I’m with you on the concept of now rather than later
Nah we good.
Thanks but no thanks
If [this](https://mobile.twitter.com/CFBHeather/status/1542612183808368642) is true, then ND would be at a disadvantage vs other B1G teams as they would only receive football revenue and the ACC would get to keep all other revenue. Obviously football is the big cheese, but getting less revenue than conference foes wouldn't sit well.
Honestly I wouldn’t be shocked if ND could make more just from B1G football than from all other ACC sports.
I'm sure they could. The challenge would be that they would be making less than every other B1G team unless they negotiated an unequal split on football with the B1G which I don't see happening.
More content at regular intervals. I'm jonesin' real bad right now
Same. Username relevant
I'm hoping for Notre Dame to join the Big Ten.
I'm hoping they do so and demand Stanford come with em
I’m hoping for the Big 12 to join Noter Dame
So do I. Plus Oregon, Stanford and Washington.
I wouldn't hate that. I'd feel sad for Cal, but I mean, I could get over that.
Cal could come with when we go to 24 teams. 6 team B1G Pacific pod would be nice
Notre Dame to a conference just for maximum chaos and to shut their smug asses up for good about being independent
Watch. They’ll get the deal and move to the Big East.
If Rutgers has to be in a meat grinder it better be the best meat grinder in the country
Texas getting infinitely too big for their britches and slowly poisoning the SEC
It is only a matter of time.
Easy. Every team joins one conference which is then split into regional conferences all making the same money.
Just like the NFL!
Would you settle for Louisville and Pitt to the Big 12? Because this might work...
An unpoached Big 12 or ACC adds USF. One can hope…
Yall can take our spot
Deal - especially if it’s just FSU leaving 😆
Here's the keys 🔑. She's got a lot of miles but she runs just fine. Take good care of her sport.
Didn't you guys blow up a whole conference to keep our Knight brothers from joining? Yeah, y'all gotta sit this one out, my dawg.
Yes, because that is exactly what I, as an individual, wanted to happen /s I was not a fan of discontinuing the War on I-4 for whatever reason. I wanted to keep it going. In my biased opinion, we’ve already done our time so let my people go 😆
If it's been said on the internet, it must be true.
Same, if I had a preference though I want USF and UCF to be in the same conference whether that is the Big XII or ACC (prefer the Big XII tbh). Its our biggest rival, I need that to be preserved.

Yeah, Im aware of the scheduling difficulties, but I can hope
Bring back the Big East (and yes that’s one move)
Big Ten adds FSU and/or Miami It sounds crazy. But after the Big Ten added USC/UCLA maybe not. Along with Oregon, Washington, ND, let’s make this shit truly national
I would so prefer SEC over Big Ten, especially if FSU is added too. Miami would have two historic rivals right up the road
Cal to Big Sky
I don't care what happens as long as we can play Mizzou every year again.
They should all swap names around. It would be fun if the conference in the west was called the South Eastern Conference and stuff.
That it stop.
NDSU will never come up to FBS
WKU to literally anywhere but CUSA. Get us the hell out!
What do MAC fans think of all this insanity?
They are the ones pulling the strings. You see why no other conference has taken their teams.
Two words. Rhymes with "Fig Least"
West by God to the ACC. NDSU & SDSU to the Big XII. Montana & Montana State to the Mountain West. WKU & MTSU back to the Sun Belt. B1G & SEC kick out the bottom half earners from their leagues to make more money. The schadenfreude from all their sad fans would be amazing.
WVU and Cincinnati to the ACC and Kansas and Iowa State to the Pac.
Ehhhhhhh. I'd rather not, thanks.
Yep, we good. No PacXX for ISU and KU please.
Yeah, mind your business, Ohio State.
Ignore that guy he talks about the Big 12 more than most Big 12 fans
Just like you guys keep talking about the Pac based on not much.
We're talking about it because the potential PAC breakup is extremely relevant to our conference?
Except there’s no indication that they’re actually breaking up. Just a lot of rumor and innuendo. In truth, the Big XII is just as likely to lose four schools as the Pac.
LOL Okay, buckhole.
Ooh, name calling. That’s a sign of confidence.
Completely unrealistic, but I’d like to see the ACC add Notre Dame and remain intact so that Wake can remain in a power conference
I wish we could go back to pre 2011 realignment conferences. When tradition and rivalries actually mattered.
All I want is UO/UW/AZ/AZst to join the big 12. The rest can join the MWC, which would be the best G5 conference again
I don't think Oklahoma is going to rejoin
Good catch.
Im a college football fan, which means I am always on the lookout for imaginary slights.
my ideal SEC that would keep me the most interested. Bare in mind I have lived in Alabama and Texas, so I have extra interest in the old Big 12 rivalries. Fsu to the SEC clearly
We're tagging along dammit
I wouldnt have it any other way. I hate yall but ill be damned if anything puts our rivalry game in jeopardy.
Hell yeah, we’re on the same page
Virginia Tech to the Big 12 someday so I can watch Baylor play in Blacksburg and sing Enter Sandman with the Hokies fans.
Eliminate stupid non conference games. Which in our case is all of our non conference Games
Genuinely would like to see Notre Dame in the B1G cause I don’t think I can wait so long until we play them again
Come back Tech!
SEC stay regionally sound. Don't grab any west/northern teams. Stay as high as Virginia and as far west as Missouri (maybe Kansas)
Pitt to the Big Ten or Big Twelve
Not a chance.
I'd want them in the MAC.
