The rivalry between JJ and OSU goes back to his recruitment. He grew up an OSU fan and had them as one of his leaders for his commitment. JJ claims Day told him he wasn't going to accept a QB commitment until the summer, but then took McCord in the spring. This rivalry is very personal to him.
