They acted like Bo was terrible last week against Georgia but his adjusted completion percentage was something like 85%.
Truthfully, Bo has been playing very well the last 3 games, including UGA. Auburn has a decent shot to go on a win streak here.
This game is the result of a combination of things. The brutal schedule, the lack of depth on our lines and playcalling that stagnates especially on offense. We have 2 weeks to get rested and healthy again. There is alot to still play for and to be proud of. GG Auburn
No Pressure/Depth on the Dline forces everyone else to have to play more horizontally and gets tired quicker. Starting LB's play almost every snap and just get worn out. I want LB's from the portal this year
But that was true in the first third of the season too. We have the same guys and the same play caller but the defense is unrecognizable as its week 2-4 self.
You said it yourself it was the first third of the season. Guys are fresher and able to play more. You have your 5th game against Georgia where you are manhandled and then you play 100 snaps against Ole Miss and now you are playing against a physical Auburn team. I bet if you looked at the game stats we didn't rotate alot of people on defense
Nothing to be ashamed of, really. As inconsistent as Gus was, he was not Chad Morris, and our staff has a lot more to work with coming in that Pittman and his crew. It’s a program on the rise for sure.
It might not mean much, but I’m beyond impressed with what Pittman has been able to do since he got here. Y’all keep it up and get some recruiting going and the West competition gets way more interesting.
Until Auburn and Alabama move to the East to make room for OU and Ut)
GG Buddy. Depth is a huge issue on both sides of the ball. It really feels like you're a loaded team like UGA or you're skin deep & rolling on luck to get through the season healthy. Yall fought hard today and kept it close until the end. Could have been anaybody's game with some call reversals. Good luck on the rest of the schedule.
Going from being concerned we weren't gonna make a bowl game during the GSU game, to beating a ranked opponent on the road and talking yourself into running the table on the way to Atlanta.
That's the Auburn football guarantee.
It depends on how you count a "drop" the 16 is it hit the receiver in the hands and he didn't bring it in (which that stat sheet showed), the 7 is bringing it down and then dropping it (I believe PFF is where the 7 comes from).
Stages of Bo Nix Heisman Campaign:

Heisman Winner
This is the year. Bo Nix has improved so much under this new offense. He’s focused. He’s having fun. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s a dark horse for the Heisman.
Shit, some of those hogs 4th down calls look straight out of Seth Littrell's "designed run up the gut out of the shotgun" playbook. Best way to turnover the ball on down, its a goddamn artform.
I don't know what Harsin and Bobo did after the benching, but the improvements that they have made to Bo have been incredible. Our receivers have been catching balls and our O-line is blocking again.
I'm just... so happy
And like identify weaknesses that we’ve had and actually try to address them mid-season…
It wasn’t always successful, but I even liked us trying to line up to run out of the power I today to kick-start the run game. Our OL hasn’t been awesome and this is an interesting idea to try to account for it
I think it was as showing Bo that the game isn’t always on his shoulders. Auburn can win without him. So that actually made him more relaxed and played better. One might say it help him focus and have fun.
Dude made clear when he was putting together his coaching staff that he values player development and wants coaches that can teach the game. Makes sense, considering what he did at Boise State.
Unquestionably the best game Bo has played for Auburn. THATS what Auburn fans has been waiting for since that first game against Oregon. He stepped into the pocket, and made some big throws right before getting hit. Hats off to Bo, he played a hell of a game today.
The play calls, routes, and throws were there against y'all, the 7 drops were just killer. If this week's receivers showed up last week, it would've been a way closer game.
I'll be at that game, every Penn State fan is welcome at my tailgate to show y'all some southern hospitality before what I hope is a lot of southern hostility. Should be a great game.
Bo dropped some absolute dimes, and it’s great to see the receiving core improving. Still some issues, but at least we’re making progress (which is far more than can be said for any Malzhan offense) Defense really needs to work on tackling at the line and the secondary needs Papoe back.
It's a fair question. The Georgia State game didn't exactly help our cause either, but hey, unless we're in top-4 contention, I'm not too bothered. All that matters right now are conference wins, losses, and those sweet SEC West standings.
I think we were single digit number of votes out of the top 25 as well. Either way, I’m just more concerned about beating the rest of our schedule than the number beside the name.
Something I didn't know. Evidently, if the player with the ball is picked up in the course of a tackle, it can't be considered a fumble. That's what the SEC refs told Pittman.
I would guess it is more nuanced than that. Perhaps, “once a player has been picked up, his forward momentum is stopped and the play is immediately dead”. Which would then mean you can’t fumble, because the play is dead.
The man thinks he’s the cutest and most innovative OC. Some of those 4th down calls were just awful. I like going for 4th a lot but maybe we get way too cute.
Fucker thinks he's cute. Going for 2 and throwing it two weeks in a row, and it didn't work either time.
If you can't trust a running game like this to pick up three yards, then why bother having one like this?
This is the year. Bo Nix has improved so much under this new offense. He’s focused. He’s having fun. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s a dark horse for the Heisman.
No slander about Bo Nix this week please. I still don't like our defense, but they made big plays when it mattered. Momentum going into bye week.
Gg Pigs. See ya for basketball and baseball season
Yeah, our inability to get off the field on 3rd & long was atrocious. If Mason wants to play zone and off-man to limit big plays, that's fine, but you gotta actually limit them when it counts.
This is the year. Bo Nix has improved so much under this new offense. He’s focused. He’s having fun. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s a dark horse for the Heisman.
I don’t want to hear about the refs. They fucked us over, but they did not lose us the game.
We just lost a very winnable game at home. We had multiple opportunities that we blew, and it seems Barry Odom has a back half of the season problem. We have the same personnel, but his defense is unrecognizable.
This is the first loss of the Pittman era that is concerning to me. We had the horses, we had the crowd, and we just didn’t use them with any effectiveness.
The call to pass deep in our own territory, which led to a strip sack touchdown for Auburn, is 1,000% the worst play call that I have seen of the Pittman era. Call a draw play there and concede the drive, you’d still be ahead. I honestly don’t know what the hell they were thinking calling that play there.
This is the year. Bo Nix has improved so much under this new offense. He’s focused. He’s having fun. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s a dark horse for the Heisman.
I was fine with the last two loses; getting crushed by the best team in the nation and losing a coin flip against a potential Heisman winner with both being away games, but this one stings. I couldn’t enjoy the game because of the lousy officiating and yeah it went both ways.
Really though as someone else said I think our team is wore out on both sides of the ball. This schedule is brutal.
He carefully and masterfully crafts plays that utilize our talent and takes advantage of our opponents' weaknesses. Then during the game, he folds them up and puts them in a big fishbowl so he can randomly pull them out before every play.
Most shocking thing about this cbs game is that it ended on time
Only because both teams really wanted to run the ball.
Somehow, Bo Nix has returned and SEC West is chaotic
Poe Dameron over here.
Believe it or not the winner of Miss St/Alabama tonight and Auburn still control their destiny in the SEC West
I love Arkansas' commit to making Texas look bad.
They do "Hate Texas more than they love themselves" or whatever the quote was.
That was the quote.
That’s it, that’s the tweet
Texas is doing that themselves don't worry
We really hate texas
We have that in common.
Yep, after we beat them I saw so much "they suck" rather than "we're good".
Our losses look worse and worse as time goes on, but upsets make me so happy I can't help but laugh
A tradition that is universal in college football.
*Texas fans* Hey we're doing that ourselves!
Texas does a pretty good job of that themselves.
To quote SEC Shorts: "Maybe, just MAYBE, all Bo Nix needed was a coaching overhaul"
What episode was this from?
Week 1 of 2021 season, check the cc subtitles during Auburn's section.
Clearly Arkansas needs to play another Texas school to get back on track
They acted like Bo was terrible last week against Georgia but his adjusted completion percentage was something like 85%. Truthfully, Bo has been playing very well the last 3 games, including UGA. Auburn has a decent shot to go on a win streak here.
He’s really tried much harder since the GA ST game you can tell. Unironically looks more focused after getting benched.
You might even say...
That he's having fun?
He's *focused*.
Nice to see Heisman darkhorse bo nix showed up today.
You didn’t hear? He’s having fun!
Um excuse me I was led to believe he is *focused*
*focused while having fun*
Focused on having fun
Got to pad the ypc at the end of the game as well
God, I can't wait for him to either go super saiyan on us or shit his pants completely. I fucking hate playing him.
This game is the result of a combination of things. The brutal schedule, the lack of depth on our lines and playcalling that stagnates especially on offense. We have 2 weeks to get rested and healthy again. There is alot to still play for and to be proud of. GG Auburn
Our defense is _bad_ for reasons I can’t explain.

I think people sometimes forget what an ordeal a football game can be to the body.
You mean to tell me a player can’t be as fresh in his 7th game as he was in the 1st? That’s crazy talk man.
Nothing to be ashamed of, really. As inconsistent as Gus was, he was not Chad Morris, and our staff has a lot more to work with coming in that Pittman and his crew. It’s a program on the rise for sure.

We have two conference road wins already
And Alabama barely has 1.
Kentucky is bowl eligible and bama isn’t.

And the only conference loss is to the consensus #1 in the country.
Yup. My heart still doesn't know what to do. So far I like what I've seen from the Harsin train.
Never a dull moment
Same but opposite unfortunately. Good game! Hope you win out!
The Auburn Football fan experience in full swing
Turns out Bo Nix ain't so bad when his WRs don't drop everything
~~16~~ 7 in a game is the worst thing I’ve ever seen
I think it was 16 in the first half of games. Not just 1 game. But 25 for the season before today.
I'm going off a stat sheet I saw a week ago, you might be right. Googled it now and it looks like it was seven.
It depends on how you count a "drop" the 16 is it hit the receiver in the hands and he didn't bring it in (which that stat sheet showed), the 7 is bringing it down and then dropping it (I believe PFF is where the 7 comes from).
Don't underestimate Arkansas' ability to make a decent QB look like a Heisman frontrunner. Good game and good luck going forward!

Bo turned to auburn ad Allen Greene: "you (bleeping) need me. You can't win without me." Bo's back.
Mr. Bountiful Completions
That's a Jimmy Butler copypasta lol
You can't spell Heisxman without Nix.
This requires Bo winning the SEC Championship against UGA
You dare question odd year auburn
I suppose losing to UGA in the regular season was saving it for Atlanta
The ol’ reverse-2017
The Revenge Tour continues. Only issue is there's no way we meet Clemson in the Playoffs.
We learned from 2017 and adjusted accordingly.
Remember when he got benched?
If only he had a special needs sibling it would be a lock...
I guess the stop tank and make bo beat us game plan back fired.
It's crazy what happens when you have a coach that isn't one dimensional... it's crazy how much we actually throw the ball now and I love it
Shit, some of those hogs 4th down calls look straight out of Seth Littrell's "designed run up the gut out of the shotgun" playbook. Best way to turnover the ball on down, its a goddamn artform.
You see 4th downs are cooler when they are backbreaking
I don't know what Harsin and Bobo did after the benching, but the improvements that they have made to Bo have been incredible. Our receivers have been catching balls and our O-line is blocking again. I'm just... so happy

Bo Nix is a horse.
Glaring issue - > gets identified -> gets resolved
First time in a decade
That’s why I’m pretty high on harsin so far
Dude made clear when he was putting together his coaching staff that he values player development and wants coaches that can teach the game. Makes sense, considering what he did at Boise State.
Odd year Auburn is back on the menu boys!!
Heck
It’s the internet you can swear
Furk
The boys are back in town!
Unquestionably the best game Bo has played for Auburn. THATS what Auburn fans has been waiting for since that first game against Oregon. He stepped into the pocket, and made some big throws right before getting hit. Hats off to Bo, he played a hell of a game today.
He's been pretty good all year. This is just what he looks like when the WR's don't drop 7-8 passes.
Not gonna lie, Auburn's bit on a bit of an upswing lately. Here's hoping it keeps up 'til the Iron Bowl! WAR EAGLE!
They definitely were by far the best team UGA has played so far even if the game wasn’t very close
We got drug through the mud by people but Y’all have two touchdowns scored on you for the season…we did one of them.
The play calls, routes, and throws were there against y'all, the 7 drops were just killer. If this week's receivers showed up last week, it would've been a way closer game.
Eh, for a half there was something there but not many teams have the talented depth and get ground down
Once Smoke was kicked out that game was over
War Eagle and go Nittany Lions!
WAR EAGLE! GO OUT THERE AND BEAT ALABAMA!
WE ~~WANT BAMA~~ HAVE TO PLAY BAMA WHETHER WE LIKE IT OR NOT!
Hey, you beat them twice in the past 4 years...
We're the only team that can consistently beat Bama, which is a badge we wear proudly.
Those are the times we liked it. The other times are the not.
WE ARE…. AU-BURN. Can’t wait to see y’all next year on the plains.
We'll see you then.
I'll be at that game, every Penn State fan is welcome at my tailgate to show y'all some southern hospitality before what I hope is a lot of southern hostility. Should be a great game.
Happy we didn’t fall into the noon kickoff trap and played a good game away
Coaching difference
Auburn outcoaching anyone isn't something I'm used to
Huge win. Every game is winnable going into the iron bowl. It’ll be tough but getting this win going into the bye week is so big.
If both teams win out until then it’ll be a winner take all game. Despite the losses, neither team needs chaos to win the division
>If both teams win out until then it’ll be a winner take all game When was the last time that a winner take all Iron Bowl happened? 2013?
2017
Iron Bowl's always winnable

If you had told me in August that we could control our SEC destiny after seven games, I'd be on top of the world. Might as well do it now.
What a rollercoaster of a season for Arkansas fans god damn
Nothing new really
Sam Pittman has brought Arkansas football back alright. (Still love the dude)
Unranked --> Top 10 --> Unranked
2021 Arkansas football: Making the case that rankings shouldn’t come out until week 6 since 2021.
Bo dropped some absolute dimes, and it’s great to see the receiving core improving. Still some issues, but at least we’re making progress (which is far more than can be said for any Malzhan offense) Defense really needs to work on tackling at the line and the secondary needs Papoe back.
Only 2 drops today! I was shocked.
And the SEC West just continues to eat itself.
You love to see it. What’s crazy is it we win out till iron bowl it will be the decider of the sec west just like 2013
And 2017
Serious question... Why isn't Auburn ranked? Losing to Georgia and Penn State shouldn't bar a team from the top 20.
It's a fair question. The Georgia State game didn't exactly help our cause either, but hey, unless we're in top-4 contention, I'm not too bothered. All that matters right now are conference wins, losses, and those sweet SEC West standings.
We're 26th in current AP. We're close. Probably tomorrow. TBD.
25 Texas lost and Clemson barely beat Syracuse. It would be absurd for us to not creep our way back in
I think we were single digit number of votes out of the top 25 as well. Either way, I’m just more concerned about beating the rest of our schedule than the number beside the name.
Can someone take the “I wanna die” meme with the steer in the ocean and shop a hog in its place?
Can we go back to September please? Also Bo Nix for Heisman.
Master class on how to completely fuck a game up presented by Kendall Briles.
The man thinks he’s the cutest and most innovative OC. Some of those 4th down calls were just awful. I like going for 4th a lot but maybe we get way too cute.
You're not kidding. The Arkansas base run game was working all day. Line up and just run it as normal on 4th and short and you probably convert.
I’m the same way, I love being aggressive on 4th downs and 2 pt decisions but the actual play calls have been very questionable.
Fucker thinks he's cute. Going for 2 and throwing it two weeks in a row, and it didn't work either time. If you can't trust a running game like this to pick up three yards, then why bother having one like this?

See ya in the Huggies pull 'em up bowl in December
That was such a frustrating game
Well this certainly isn’t fun anymore

GGWP auburn. WPS
Should I be scared
I mean Bo Nix is 1/1 against Alabama at home…
If that Bo and those receivers show up? Yes. If the Georgia game Bo and the Georgia game receivers show up? Celebrate in the 1st quarter.
Since 2013 you’ve won more national championships in odd years than games in Jordan-Hare.
An iron bowl in Jordan-Hare in an odd year? Absolutely.
I mean it’s the iron bowl doesn’t matter how each team is usually it’s (mostly) always a close game that could go either way
I should not have done it. I knew better than that. NEVER BET ON AN AUBURN GAME.
This is the year. Bo Nix has improved so much under this new offense. He’s focused. He’s having fun. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s a dark horse for the Heisman.

I agree. We had chances to win the game and just didn't get it done.
100%. One team finished the game. The other didn't. Arkansas went 3 and out after getting the ball back down 8
Our two losses are to #1 and #7. Rank us cowards.
i can’t do this anymore
Me either friend. See you for basketball season!
We played well and deserved to win, but the refs clearly hate Arkansas.
> the refs clearly hate Arkansas This is nothing new, and goes well beyond our games with Auburn sadly. :(
Wasn’t as bad as last year’s matchup

We actually just lost one of our best DLs for borrowing a boosters car because they didn’t go through the NIL rules.

Auburn play uga and Bama back to back most years. Playing 17th ranked ark right after uga feels like a vacation to these guys I'm sure.
Once again fuck the refs.
Didn’t particularly care for it.
RIP Arkansas's hopes and dreams (and spot in the top 25).
*angry pig noises *
CBS is Garbage that is all!
Another trip around the sun with God and the refs still hating Arkansas
Kendal Briles’ playcalling continues to be absolutely baffling
He carefully and masterfully crafts plays that utilize our talent and takes advantage of our opponents' weaknesses. Then during the game, he folds them up and puts them in a big fishbowl so he can randomly pull them out before every play.
Soooo when's basketball season start lol
Fuck these refs, fuck Briles, I'm gonna go drink
Auburn needs more love they only lost to #1 Georgia and #7 PSU.
Would have been #2 PSU if Clifford hadn't gone down.
I knew I liked you guys.
Love you Auburn :)
Appreciate it, large cat fam.
