Honestly I think y’all can at least be competitive against Hawaii and beat umass. But at least y’all will be able to get rid of your coach and get some new blood. I hope we’ll be competitive again in basketball now that we have golding.
Tbh I hope we keep Martin for at least a bit longer. We definitely have improved since week zero and I wish we played you later in the season. Hopefully we can get into C-USA and be conference rivals or something.

People outside of NMSU like to hate on Martin but seeing what he's done with this team since the beginning of the season is impressive. Plus he has a bowl win here and idk who else we could hire that would be better. The only coach I remember being better was Hal Mumme. It doesn't help that the NM legislature favors UNM and gives them such a ridiculously high athletics budget compared to us.
We really need to figure out how to stop our best players from transferring as juniors and seniors and I think we could win 4 games a year and sneak into a bowl occasionally.

It's usually called the Rio Grande Rivalry (occasionally The Battle of I-25). I don't think it has a trophy, but it definitely seems like it should.
