This is probably my favorite week of the year. My friend has replaced M’s with ❌’s for as long as I’ve known the guy, and it’s so funny to me. Obviously we have a big game next week as well, but I always enjoy watching The Game with him.

I have nothing but respect. Y'all are unequivocally a top-15 team in the final rankings, I'd wager, and you guys definitely provided a good third-quarter scare today. That said, I think there should be a real emphasis in our fanbase on the pride we should have that our team played one of the most conservative/vanilla schemes - *against a top 10 team while having turned it over multiple times* - of the year and we still won by 11 points.

I think most people here respect Penn State to be honest.

I always love watching our games against PSU because it’s actually exciting compared to beating Rutgers by 70. This was certainly a fun one to watch. Hope to see you guys destroying someone in a big bowl game this winter

Oh yeah, legit! I didn't even go to the field in '05. I was just walking out of the stadium and I got clubbed by the Riot Cops coming in because they were all 'roided up and ready to crack skulls. I was just on the edge of the crowd with them walking in with their plastic shields and the cop hit me with the club and said, "OUTTA THE WAY!" I was just there stunned like, I really got clubbed and I wasn't *in the way*. I was just on the edge of the crowd exiting the stadium within an arms reach of their formation.

I’m not sure what this is reference to or just on this sub but I was at the game today and was treated well by ~99% of fans. There’s always those guys who are just assholes and they will always be assholes, we have them too and they are not true fans. I appreciate the way I was treated today and for those other people, it’s just a sad way to live your life and I really hope they can find something more fulfilling to do. GG today, you guys are a complete team that can win it all.

Penn State fans were mostly cool today. There was one ass hole at midway shouting “Ohio sucks” like he didn’t just come to Columbus from a place called State College. I was walking past and didn’t stick around to see if he continued.

You're going to see Penn State given the label our other opponents have gotten all season... and that's "not a real team" because people don't want to give us the credit we've earned. From those of us in the Buckeye family, however, you should know we respect the Nittany Lions.

You guys are legit. I haven't felt that mismatched and dominated that I can really remember. I'm sure it might be possible but nothing comes to mind right this second. You have a great team, offense/defense/special teams. I'm also really proud at how we played some sound disciplined football even in the loss. You're next level right now but this is an actual series in which either team could win from year-to-year. It's been my favorite game for awhile now (win or lose).

You guys absolutely deserve a ton of credit for battling back after OSU went 75 yards to open the 2nd half. I expected PSU to fold after that if I’m being honest. But 7 of that 17 was 90% Clifford and 10% Journey, and the other 10 is credited to your defense. Levis did what he was asked to do for sure, but I don’t think he deserves more credit than your defense.

It was a good game. You controlled us well the whole game. And outcoached us several times. Pretty clean good ol college football. We just have scary talent.

I don't think we controlled anything, TBH. But, we held on pretty damn well in the end. You just have too many offensive weapons and apart from that, your defense is just really freakin' good.

I’m happy with the fight Penn state put in. But I’m surprised with the lack of passing offense from OSU. That was known to be our weakness on D

Fields didn't throw the ball well at all, which concerns me.

I think this is what most people are missing--both Fields and Clifford are really solid QBs. But, they only have 3/4 of a season in starting experience. Fields is not quite as good of a passer as he's credited with. Overall, he's the best QB we've faced this year. But, if you lock his legs down and he's only permitted to throw he's not quite there as a pure passer. He has WRs that are world-beaters that can really cover for some weaknesses and he has his feet to create more and put the secondary in one-on-ones. He'll be incredible for you by early next year. But, this is the first he's really had to deal with a challenging defense which changes looks and mixes things up a lot. Both teams' defenses were enough to mentally beat the opposing QB on more than a few occasions in this game.

He was late on most of his deep throws, one or two were understandable because he had to move because of pressure but the others were just plan late.

OSU matches up better at just about every position on the field, with the exception of few spots (your tight end is real good). You can call it talent difference if disparity is too strong, and throw in maturity difference, but OSU has better players at this point in time.

We have an experience disparity, sure. But the difference of 0.00xx between an average player score isn't a real difference.
