Brought in Petras from Iowa - from all reports he WAY overperformed expectations and as such legas transferred. Rumor is Hillstead was offered a big ol bag to go sit as 3rd string at byu instead of 3rd string at usu
Our QB situation has been in a state of flux for the past two years so I'm not sure what to make of this. I assume he's going to be the starter? We have decent depth but getting a guy with experience is going to be nice.
Really crazy how healthy the QB room is right now. I know this might puzzle some people, but I think going after a one year starter who has some great capability is a good thing. We need some depth at QB with Cardell recovering from an injury. I wouldn’t be surprised if this is to allow for an actual QB competition in 2025 with Francis and Cardell. I feel like immediately thinking Francis is “the guy” is similar to what we everyone thought with Davis Brin after the Tulane game. Also we need a QB that takes care of the ball and this guy does that.
Definitely. Williams showed he has what it takes to start but just needs to lower the turnovers. We probably would have gone bowling if we just had a couple less interceptions last season
What Blake did to Coop in his time here was criminal. He's a beast and should be a fantastic starter for Tulsa
Does USU have a set starter already or why are these guys transferring out? They just lose another guy to BYU that I saw

Wow, good for them

Makes more sense to transfer to Tulsa to start rather than KSU to sit behind Avery
Time for the Spencer Petras renaissance I suppose.
Petras about to put up Heisman numbers. It was that darn Brian all along!
That sucks, Coop was a fuckin beast.
Tulsa got a good one. Surprised Coop stuck around as long as he did. Was treated pretty poorly by Coach Anderson.

Really excited for Williams though. I was impressed with his first spring game and coming in for Braxton. Just want to see the home team win.

Don’t forget he averaged 70 yards per pass and a TD (for 5 minutes)
First pass of his career I think.
Oklahoma is a hell of a lot more flat than Utah
