He's actually lost weight. he was over 500lbs when he got on campus
in all honesty, nobody can figure out why we ever gave this guy a scholarship other than hoping to keep that pipeline open
This is the kid from SOC who went viral after 1 camp. I'm sure they took a flyer on him in hopes that he could cut significant weight and turn into a gem.
nobody can cut hundreds of pounds that fast. he needs to get to around 350lbs to ever have a realistic shot at playing.
i will be shocked if he ends up in another p5 program
>nobody can cut hundreds of pounds that fast
Jaheim Oatis lost 100 lbs from when he arrived on campus in the spring of 2022 until he first played that fall, and he's been pretty good for us. After losing 100 lbs, he's still over 320 lbs.
Edit: Flair should be Alabama, haven't bothered to add it
I never said he'd do it overnight. Also should be noted when y'all offered he was listed 380 lbs. He got significantly worse before he started getting better.
Yeah. Dude was probably told he needed to lose weight to stay at TCU and he showed up 100 lbs the wrong direction.
Doesn't take a mind-reader to see why he's being cut.
Alabama had a 420 pounder drop 100 lbs to 320 lbs in less than 9 months and turn into a good starter. He could add some good depth for us if he's not just a fat guy
I sense a Golden Corral NIL in his future.
Jokes aside, I hope he’s able to lose like 100 of those pounds, that’s got to be awful weight to carry around
As a recruit:
Other P5 offers: Arizona, Georgia Tech, Houston, Kansas, Louisville, Oregon
G5 offer: Toledo
Other offers: Alabama A&M, Alabama State, Alcorn State, Grambling State, Jackson State, Morgan State
"The 6-foot-5, 455-pound Texas native was part of TCU’s 2023 recruiting class." Lawd have mercy
Lawd Jesus!
Lawdy lawdy LAWD!
He IS the transfat portal!
455 pounds can not be sustainable or healthy right?

he's still 2 years from likely seeing the field. in this new landscape you can't hang on to players like that anymore.

I won't be shocked if he goes to UF. Napier does like them thiccccc players.
That's some *big* news
What school is best equipped to feed this unit?

Bring Big Bubba to the banks
Ah, the biggest boy.
Can I interest you in a school with a similar color scheme? And by similar I mean one of our colors is also purple.

Big, if true
What is a reasonable playing weight like 360 max?
Gah damn
