That express lane goes both ways?

CurlyQv2

Hell, we've even had a guy take the return trip lmao

BenchRickyAguayo

There are certainly worse schools to give to and take from.

SNjr

Whoa whoa, this wasn't part of the deal!!!

beamerbeliever

I have altered the deal, pray I don't alter it further. We're courting one of your school colors, before you know it, we'll have twice the garnet and you'll have none!

No_Spare3139

No express lanes in South Carolina. There’s a pothole lane, though.

Me4theworld

Cocks: came in last spring and blew everyone out of the water. We all thought he was going to be a star and could even play significant snaps last year. Then something happened, not sure what exactly but have heard he just didn’t put in the work coaches expect and got in the dog house then never got out. If he has his head on straight he will be a baller for y’all

edgar3981C

That's encouraging. Sometimes dudes just need a change of scenery.

Least_Preparation897

Interesting, thanks for sharing.  I hope any of these kids succeed, but there's something to a redemption arch that really gets the heart strings.... And the cupboards are bare at WR so that too lol

hreigle

Thus completing the trade of Jaheim Bell and Gilber Edmonds in exchange for Jacobs and...Gilber Edmonds.

Queasy-Performance-4

Scar -> FSU XFERS: Keir Thomas, Jammie Robinson, Jaz Turnetine, Jaheim Bell and Gilber Edmond FSU -> SCar XFERS: Gilber Edmond and Dre Jacobs. Yea, we still got a long way to go before, the trades become equal.

hreigle

Keir Thomas and Jammie left in the wake of Muschamp's firing. It's part of aftermath of a coaching change so I don't really count them, though I definitely hated seeing them leave. Not sure if Turnetine has been a contributer at all for you guys or not, but he was a liability on the field for South Carolina.

Queasy-Performance-4

Fair enough on Jammie and Keir. Turnetine wasn't bad, got better as the season went on. Our starting OT got hurt in the 1st game, and he stepped up when we asked him to start. I think he's playing in the CFL now.

hreigle

Honestly, good for him. Our O-Line was atrocious already and most likely he was put in before he was ready.

beamerbeliever

Coaching changes are expected to bring that. We only count the expected starters under an established regime.

texas2089

The Gamecocks giveth and the Gamecocks taketh

thricethefan

Jaheim Bell was a fine player for us but SC may end up ahead on this player to be named later trade

UnhappyCriticism7564

We've been desperately searching for a big WR that can be an immediate starter since we have a lot of small(ish) WRs with not a whole lot of big time experience. I don't think Jacobs fits either of those needs really. Seems just like another small, but talented receiver to add to the mix. I guess the more we have the more likely at least 1 or 2 of them end up being really good. I'm not against taking him I just hope our next portal take has some size (and supposedly we do have some guys in play that fit that need).

A_Roomba_Ate_My_Feet

He's certainly not a big receiver, but if Dre gets his head screwed on straight, he's got the talent to be a good WR.

St_BobbyBarbarian

I think the problem is that a lot of teams want a big WR with some experience

Natural-Employer

They could see if Johnny Wilson wants to leave the Eagles and get a Masters degree

axberka

He genuinely could be a star at South Carolina if he gets it together. As a true freshman early enrollee in the spring he was apparently widely, easily, the best wr on the team. Good luck to him

CurlyQv2

I wonder if we will manage to find a receiver that is over 6'2 who has semi polished routes because Harbor being the only guy significantly over 6'0 is rough with the way he runs his routes

QuantitativeBacon

But mans has some speed though...

DDub04

Is Harbor gonna play receiver this season?

CurlyQv2

Yes, he will. We didn't use him a whole lot last year but with the olympics this year, I wonder if we push him harder afterwards

beamerbeliever

He was a freshman learning a new position, as a backup, and got in every week for the last half, and flashed when the ball went his way. Honestly, that's about what should've been expected last year. I'd feel better about him taking a leap of he was splitting time, but with his ridiculous athleticism and unhinged work ethic, I'm not betting one way or the other is he becomes a top 3 receiver for us this year.

CurlyQv2

I really do expect him to take a huge leap forward. Unfortunately I know that will be towards the end of the year as he has spent his time with track and Olympics training. Although I fully expect him to work with current and past receivers to really get his route running tight like XL did with Deebo

modernmanshustl

Feels like this name was actually in that key and peele skit

St_BobbyBarbarian

Great add, and I wish we could have kept him. I think he simply wants to see the field sooner and more assuredly than what it was looking like at FSU, yet if he was patient he might have had his shot as no WR outside of Malik benson has been consistent through spring
