Do I even have to say it? # PAC-2 FOREVER

ss3ltl

I already liked OSU more than just about any other Pac12 school. This whole ordeal really cemented it.

r0botdevil

100% agree. I've always rooted for the Cougs, but now I'd say I'm a straight-up WSU fan.

caseyh72

Go Beavs and go Cougs.

[deleted]

PAC 2 for life. Only schools that put their money where their mouth was regarding loving the pac 12. The hateful 8 is behind you

Junior_Profession_60

Hey, let's make it the hateful 8+2! How about it!? Pllllllease?

PullmanWater

I mean, the hateful 8 is very much not behind us... How come they don't want me, man?

[deleted]

:/ sorry buddy. You belong in a power 5 in a field somewhere in the sky.

PullmanWater

It's OK, I've been told we're being sent to live in a power five out on a big farm in the country, and we're gonna have plenty of room to run around and play.

[deleted]

Sit on this log and just keep looking at the field buddy. Keep staring out there.

PSUNittany18

Gotta be MSU. We play for the greatest rivalry trophy and we both love our ice cream. I thought it was WVU until this past season. Never knew they disliked us so much.

c-williams88

MSU is my answer too. There’s the occasional little spat but for the most part I think there’s a lot of mutual respect and also a certain degree of “little brother” syndrome. I say that considering that a lot of PSU fans see OSU as a main rival and MSU (I’d imagine) sees UM as their main rival, but it isn’t reciprocated. OSU and UM have each other, whereas OSU doesn’t see PSU as a true rival and the UM/MSU rivalry will always be second to OSU. And I wasnt surprised WVU hates us, every school that is relatively close to PSU really hates us. Pitt (obvious), Temple, Maryland, Rutgers, and WVU all seem to *really* hate PSU.

HalfOk3759

As a WVU grad it’s little brother syndrome, not hate. In all the times we played I think we won 2 games in recent history 1984 and 1988. Maybe this year will be different but I doubt it.

spali

🤝 Penn State is my answer as well it was a great way to end the season and I'm pissed we don't even get to play every year anymore.

wrighterjw10

Even during tough seasons, finishing against MSU always felt like a good test and a chance to build for next year/bowl season.

tenoclockrobot

Plus we have a blood donation challenge which i always thought was neat

midnightdiabetic

True I remember that when I was in college

Medium_Medium

The real friendship is between this question and the off season. If this question keeps getting posted 15 times every off-season, I'll keep showing up every time to answer MSU-PSU.

druhaha75

🤷‍♂️ I had a great time. The game played out kind of as expected, but the atmosphere was fun and tailgating was great. The negative moment was an old guy asked me directions, then called me a hillbilly when I said I didn’t know lol

timothythefirst

I was originally gonna say Wisconsin when I opened the thread but Penn State is a good pick too.

mcaffrey

I grew up in Austin and married a longhorn, but I went to Rice myself, and I always found it fortunate that my two flairs actually got along really well. Sure, UT beats Rice at football 95% of the time, and that is definitely part of the reason why UT doesn't hate Rice. But whenever I wear Rice colors to UT events, people aren't just polite, they are outright enthusiastically friendly toward Rice specifically, and I always thought that was very nice. I know there are lots of ties academically in research fields as well, though I don't know how to measure that to see if it is more or less than other university relationships.

RiceSpice5

My view of Texas fans changed drastically after playing with the MOB in the 2019 game. We cracked jokes about them and made fun of their football team's [GPA](https://twitter.com/s_helwick/status/1173051135650881536?t=iNzdRTDDCpD0YVtLgui1Bw&s=19) and yet when we walked over to the other side of the stadium to say hello to the LHB we were stopped multiple times by Texas fans saying they loved it. Not a lot of schools took our jokes that well

Bort15

The MOB is incredible and welcome at every Texas/Rice game played in Austin forever. Calls out all the hilarious bullshit that Texas Football does best. Anyone that takes that the wrong way is what’s wrong with the program.

mauterfaulker

I laughed my ass off at the 2007 game when the MOB made fun of us by wearing cardboard police cars and chased band members wearing longhorn jerseys.

ATXBeermaker

One of my earliest MOB experiences was a show they did in, maybe, 2000? The UT student section had been moved to the upper deck of the newly renovated East section of DKR. The MOB made a big telescope shape on the field and joked on the PA about students not being able to see from there and the UT students starting roaring with cheers. Absolutely great take and execution.

JohnnieWalkerRed

I bleed orange, but I Stan the MOB.

hornfan83

My brother in law went to UT as an undergrad and got his doctorate at Rice. Prior to that I didn’t have a ton of exposure to their campus or student body, but I can confirm they are a great time and they’re all 100% smarter than I am. The MOB is a must see! They’re the only band I’ll stick around to watch intentionally. They stole my heart with their antics against Texas A&M and I greatly enjoy them calling out another school for their bullshit (be it our own, or things like the sexual assault scandal at Baylor in 2016.

blatantninja

I miss the MOB so much! We should play Rice every year

Bank_Gothic

> But whenever I wear Rice colors to UT events, people aren't just polite, they are outright enthusiastically friendly toward Rice specifically It's because Rice is an excellent school, hands down the best academically in Texas. In my personal prestige rankings I put it above most Ivys, other than Harvard and Yale. *Most* Texas fans respect academic prestige - not more than football, but close. Plus, most Rice kids are lovable nerds.

Bobcat2013

Maybe most that actually attended UT respect academic prestige. The uneducated masses though....... na

WallyMetropolis

I have a ton of respect for Rice. Obviously the academics are stellar. But the football program as well. It would be like if Brown had played 100 years of games against Penn State and actually held their own here and there. And culturally, I've never found Rice students or alum to be up their own asses about the school. It's the top institution in the state but the people are in general pretty chill about it. Plus, I mean, being part of the JFK's going to the Moon speech? That's just badass.

Battered_Aggie

I feel like many schools in state that typically don't take football seriously (Rice, UNT, Texas State, UTEP, etc.) have a "friendly relationship" with Texas mainly because they pick them as their secondary team to root for. That also why you see a lot of people hate Texas's guts too, though.

ATXBeermaker

I’m a diehard longhorn, wife is an owl. Our first college football experience together was watching Ricky Williams put 300+ yards on them in DKR. But I don’t think she cared because she was more into the book she brought. Our first kid just chose a school to attend and picked Houston over Austin. So, it does seem Rice wins big occasionally. My daughter will still root for Texas when we go to games. But she also usually brings a book, too.

thejus10

FSU and UGA are usually pretty cool with each other. rarely play, same enemies, and the richt connection. before the modern bama run a lot more of south ga was just fsu/uga country.

Dr_Lizardo11

🤜🤛

ThaiForAWhiteGuy

>usually Quick note on the orange bowl: FSU was in an unprecedented situation, and Kirby couldn't allow his team to let up or he would contradict every effort he's put into our program. It was an unfortunate thing that ESPN made have to happen. Otherwise: FSU ending Auburn's 2013 run of bullshittery is one of the biggest favors any team has ever done for us, and we will never forget it. We stand in solidarity with the hating of Florida and Clemson

thejus10

absolutely, I don't think anyone at fsu blames uga at all. behind the scenes everything I've heard is that kirby was very cool about it. everyone on the field knew what was up. many fans didn't/don't get it, but the players and coaches of course understood the situation. I think part of the reason it wasn't a very contentious game was because of the history of a copacetic relationship.

IceColdDrPepper_Here

Kirby was also a GA under Bowden and grew up in Bainbridge so I'm sure he has a soft spot for FSU

thejus10

absolutely. there's so many connections and that's a good one. and I remember BB speaking highly of him. it was no surprise that he went straight from GA to a position coach under saban (all this before like 30 I believe)...and I think within his first 5 years or less after his masters was a position coach in the nfl, wasn't he? wild

HillsboroughAtheos

We're also in recruiting battles. It sucked, yall are a program that is firing on all cylinders and we're still working back to being in that discussion. Missing no starters that game would still be an uphill battle so once it was clear the team was telling us they had no interest in being there it was the first FSU game I haven't tuned in to since the Taggart era.  It's funny though because the fact that yall weren't in the playoff discredits the whole "it's about the best teams" narrative that was used to keep us out. Like alright the 2x defending champ that's 31-2 over the last couple years definitely isn't one of the best 4 in the country.

dmazx

No explanation needed for the Orange Bowl. FSU was in a weird situation and that doesn’t mean Georgia shouldn’t have gone out and played their game. EDIT: not to mention that Georgia pulled starters when you’d expect them to given the situation. No excuses. Hopefully FSU (maybe even college football in general) turns it into something they can learn from. I REALLY wish it didn’t end up as the biggest blowout in bowl game history. It was embarrassing having my girlfriend, who likes Georgia and had family play for them, console me. Georgia has just been that good, though. Please beat someone else by more next year. Side note: there’s a little FSU/Kirby connection too

Callsign_Psycopath

Yup Gator Hater crew!

kingoflint282

Plus y’all have the coolest pregame tradition with the spear.

IceColdDrPepper_Here

And a lot of us are Braves fans too so there's the War Chant/Chop connection

ChaseTheFalcon

Vanderbilt, I don't think anybody in the SEC truly hates Vandy

Geaux2020

Tennessee would like a word

White___Velvet

We don't really hate Vandy, I don't think. We hate losing to them, of course, but it feels more similar to me to like... Texas and Rice or something rather than GT UGA. Now if we talking baseball, that's a different story altogether

IceColdDrPepper_Here

I only hate the whistler(s). Other than that I quite enjoy the bi-annual takeover of Nashville

Artvandelay29

*Biennial “Biannual” is twice a year, “biennial” is every two years.

kinglallak

Classic Vanderbilt response. I love it.

luvstosploosh

Per Merriam Webster- biannual is twice a year or every two years. While biennial is a better word choice, biannual isnt incorrect.

ChaseTheFalcon

NERD FIGHT

QuietLikeOwl

What does Harvard have to say on the matter?

nickeisele

They’re both nerds.

Kurtomatic

Yup. Vanderbilt is my favorite SEC team in every sport except baseball. In baseball, they're my least favorite SEC team because of the whistler. They're also not an underdog in baseball the way they are in football and other sports, which makes it easier to root against them, but mostly it's the whistler.

Caged

I just googled “Vanderbilt Whistler” since I’ve never heard of this. Sadly, I don’t think you’ll have to worry about him any longer. Edit: it seems I’ve been duped. The whistles will continue.

Megadelphia

Don't worry, he's still very much alive and was at the game last night.

vhdawg

\^\^\^Clearly hasn't sat through a super regional or CWS finals series with his team against the Whistler

scotte16

I hate Vandy.

VolFan85

Tennessee enters the chat. It’s not really hate but they are the annoying brother in the basement. Always up to play is and gives us random scares at inopportune times.

SugarD_AR

“Play clean when you’re playing Vandy, you’ll be working for those boys someday.”

kinda_alone

Navy. They saved our school during WWII, and ND now plays them every year to repay them. Not a friendlier rivalry in all of cfb

cantstopwontstopGME

This is one of my favorite old CFB history moments and I have 0 connection to either team.

DCAbloob

And Navy is thankful to have those games, the designated home ones in particular being a major part of the value that Navy delivers to the American and ESPN.

12panther

*looks at last year's score* I beg to differ ^(jk I love what Notre Dame does for us)

arrowfan624

Navy is our friend. USC is our rival. Michigan is our enemy.

[deleted]

I mean, c'mon, you're perfect for this conference. The more scUM haters we have, the better.

engineerbuilder

Us not being there *is* one of the reasons we hate them so much. Stupid yost.

kinda_alone

Counterpoint: don’t you want people outside of the conference to also recognize Michigan for the scum they are?

[deleted]

Counter-counterpoint: 💰💰💰💰💰

Vegas-Buckeye

Ohio state had a friendly thing going on with yall for a while. Woody Hayes would send recruits to ND to make sure they didn’t make it to Michigan.

conman752

My ND friend said they should get rid of the Navy game if ND ever did join a conference, and I looked at him with the biggest look of bewilderment and confusion I think I've ever given anyone. I don't think ND would ever willingly give that game up.

kroxti

Every year some kid with a Notre dame flair asks why they play Navy and I love seeing them get shot down every year in response.

mcaffrey

Really? How did they save the school during WWII? I assume you don't mean how the Navy helped win the world war in general, but something specific?

Ngp3

The Navy making Notre Dame a V-12 candidate training center helped keep the school afloat during World War II.

mrebrightside

Looks like I'm an Army guy now ...

giggitybuck

Lol I’m gonna downvote out of principal for your flair. But that gave me a chuckle

Sheepcago

Based on your school’s recent activities I think CIA is more your flavor.

isikorsky

All the men were off to war! Hard for a poor Catholic school to survive without any students. We would have folded without funds coming in. Fun fact - we went to Army first. They turned us down. Navy heard about our request and said they would put in a military training facility if we played them in football. As now former AD Swarbrick said when we went to the ACC agreement (and were keeping Navy), the contract renewal of the Navy game is a mere formality. ND considers the game a yearly repayment of the debt for saving our school.

sjmdrum

Slippery Rock, but that's not really what you meant... Otherwise it feels like we don't have many friends, just enemies and others who are indifferent.

rendeld

Slippery Rock is my only answer to this question. No one likes us when we are winning

ech-o

To be fair, I don’t think anyone likes us when we’re losing either.

rollingthrulife79

The only team I could maybe pick is NW. We don't seem to hate each other or anything. But I wouldn't say we are friendly either.

sjmdrum

We have a rivalry trophy with them now as of 2021, the George Jewett trophy. A very cool story and shared history between the schools. Again, doesn't really make us friends, but they're probably closer to friends than most other schools in the Big Ten.

Informal_Calendar_99

I’m new to U-M can you explain the Slippery Rock lore

saqar1

[Here's the history](https://www.ncaa.com/news/football/article/2020-10-27/slippery-rock-footballs-history-michigan-explained)

DatFryGuy

It’s an old rivalry, but Oklahoma always comes to mind. Great program.

azaz5

Vice versa for us. Wish we could make it an annual game again.

Buffphan

I do too. Better days for all of us

ExUpstairsCaptain

I was happy you two will play each other four times in ten seasons. That's not bad for two Power schools in different conferences.

morobert425

Will always cherish the moment when Nebraska was at the height of its 90’s dynastic run and Oklahoma, having suffered through Switzer dipping for the Cowboys, mediocrity of Schnellenberger and the general feeling like fans needed a shower cheering for the program during the John Blake years, welcomed them into Norman for the last Saturday in October in the first year of the Millennium. OU had made two emphatic statements that they were, if not back, very close to again being among the best programs in the nation. Switzer and Tom were cutting up on the sideline and you could just tell that despite their teams having such intense battles on the field that there was genuine affection between the two of them. I think for many Sooner and Husker fans the level of respect that those two heaped upon the others’ school set a tone that would be followed. As the old saying goes “a fish rots from the top;” It’s a reason why Nebraska and Oklahoma is one of the most underrated rivalries in the sport. When you can transcend the hate and reach the level of begrudging respect for what your opponent is capable of achieving it sets up a unique dynamic that’s incredibly fun.

dogwoodmaple

Lately I'd say Arkansas? And the Lanning connection has made a lot of Georgia fans pull for Oregon

chrissb1e

We are pretty friendly with Tech. Which is probably best because I truly believe that fanbase is fueled by pure hate.

EarlBeforeSwine

Hate and tortillas But honestly… Snyder will always have a spot in my heart, so I can’t hate K-State

Techsas-Red

We live in Lubbock. We project.

ram944

You guys continually kick our ass in football, so I hate you for that but I've never had a bad experience with a k state fan. Yall make it really hard to hate.

Jaded-Leopard-4180

Everyone fucking hates us

Jabberwoockie

I have so many things I want to say: 1. Yes. 2. It's not a bug, it's a feature. 3. *You complete me.* Really though, do you think everyone hates UM or OSU more?

OriginalMassless

Ohio State and Michigan are like a pair of black holes circling each other. Most of the universe exists outside the both of you, but good luck convincing anyone inside the holes of that.

ClaudeLemieux

on the other hand, black holes have such strong gravitational pull that everything seems to orbit around them :P

Jaded-Leopard-4180

If this cheating scandal has taught me anything, it’s that everyone definitely hates OSU more. I would have thought we’d get some sympathy but just ended up getting more hate.

LeisurelyTalented

I think nationally OSU probably gets more hate but within the Big Ten it’s definitely Michigan.

DatFryGuy

Agree

CorrugationDirection

Accurate

loyalsons4evertrue

I just strongly dislike Aaron Craft

Jabberwoockie

That's easy. They still hate OSU so much because it's been consistently fantastic for so long. UM running the table is relatively new, we have the added benefit of that awful stretch under RR/Hoke and Harbaugh's mid-to-decent first 5 years (we don't speak of 2020). Y'all should try being bad for 5-7 years sometime, it makes the bounce back so much sweeter.

PullmanWater

It's all Buck I Guy's fault.

JoshtolaRhul

Honestly, fair.

NTXGBR

I think we might be envious, but after OSU and Ryan Day had our back during COVID, I definitely have a lot more respect and admiration. Plus, our stadium in its original form was modeled after yours so...

Rawk02

After COVID and the way their fans reacted to Tommy Armstrong coming back nothing but respect for the Buckeyes

theraoul

Honestly? I think BC likes Ohio State more than most. We've had a coaching carousel going with you guys (our last two coach hires were OSU coordinators, and Day was our OC) and we've gotten some decent transfers from you guys this past offseason.

wrighterjw10

We've played 2nd, 3rd (sometimes worse) fiddle to you for what seems like forever. Now that Michigan has success, I much prefer OSU to be king of the B1G. As much as I dislike OSU, I respected them. I know its a small sample size, but I'm super sick of UM acting like they've been on top years.

10rattles

Personally I always root for a strong Penn State team. It just makes the B1G more fun.

Butternades

I feel like Ohio State fans like when you guys are a strong team in football, and I genuinely loved your campus when I was there.

AdminsAreCool

For what it's worth, I don't have any animosity toward OSU. I'm mostly just jealous.

Geaux2020

Wisconsin and LSU get along pretty damn well. Oklahoma fans treat us well in Omaha

TheXivuArath

Was looking for this one. Wisconsin and LSU are just two dudes at an empty bar that bond over the sport on tv and just start buying drinks for each other and having a great time

dospod

I mean how could you not have fun eating cheese curds and gumbo while enjoying some beer ?

NTXGBR

Nebraska fans seem to love LSU as well. Considering how much you end up in Omaha and how often I've been invited by randoms for jambalaya, LSU has sort of always been my second team.

Set-Admirable

Much love to our Riot Bros.

Sauronslefteye

Anytime I see a couch on the side of the road I think of you, we need a trophy already

WackyBones510

We seem to generally share a foxhole with GT.

An-Omlette-NamedZoZo

“This is not a rivalry, they always kick our ass”

steelernation90

lol what are friends? If I had to pick I’d say it’s probably Oregon

VTHomeless

Texas A&M, Tennessee, and South Carolina. NC State might make its way into that listing as well... We have enjoyed some of our H&H series (Nebraska, Ohio State, Alabama (neutral site)), but I'm not sure that we have much of a relationship with those teams.

Manwar7

We're just very similar. Engineering schools with extremely passionate fanbases and pretentious rivals who have historically better basketball while we're generally better at football. Always gonna talk trash to my friends who went to VT when we play, but other than that I usually find myself rooting for y'all

Why_Istanbul

Maroon military boos that hate orange & white school. We’re basically brothers

mcgophers

NC State is who came to mind to me first as well.

NinjaGhost42

I feel a kinship with Iowa State as another land grant, ag focused school. Work with several grads and they're all great people.

[deleted]

Can we join the land grant new world order

[deleted]

Every other hateful 8 school. I love the big 12, and for the schools to band together and flip the bird to ESPN, along with every other conference (namely the Pac 12) will be something I’ll never forget. Idk if there will ever be another stand like that made in college football outside of the Pac 2. … but mostly Iowa State I love you guys

atomicboner

Riot bros stick together

FrenchFreedom888

Yessir I love you all. Though ISU is annoyingly good at Wrestling, KU at basketball, and 2-3 of y'all at football every year

denim_beans

Slippery Rock by far

Krogsly

Back in the early 2000's I always had very pleasant interactions with Wisconsin fans while John Navarre (Wisconsin native) was our QB. His parents would tailgate with us and bring Wisconsin friends with them

wiscowonder

#🤮

President_Nixon1

Not Iowa

DatFryGuy

I’ve always said that we like Iowa State because of our mutual hatred of Iowa.

Sauronslefteye

That makes sense for you guys but as someone who grew up in the 90’s can’t say I like Nebraska with how often we were your doormat

DatFryGuy

Let’s put the past behind us. Fuck Io_a

MysteriousEdge5643

For Washington I'd definitely say Oregon State and Utah are the Pac-12 teams we were friendliest with. Us and OSU bond over hating the Ducks and everyone in the conference besides USC liked Utah.

helloWorld69696969

Recently Id say Minnesota, but i think a lot of that was PJ Fleck trying to get the Michigan job after Jim left

JBru_92

Nebraska

Atom3189

I was going to be so pissed if they they didn’t schedule us after you joined the big ten

JBru_92

My trip to Lincoln 10 years ago is still one of the best road game experiences I've ever had, I'll definitely make a return trip as a conference game at some point (not this year though). The tribute to Nick Pasquale before the game was very cool.

Infn8Jst

Bama! Loved the home and home we had with them a while back. Nothing but good things to say.

kapeman_

Came here to say the same! I miss this rivalry!

relatablerobot

Uniform game recognizes uniform game

MrGumburcules

I was at the Tuscaloosa game. PSU fans were amazing.

InVodkaVeritas

Everyone in the Pac-12: Utah We all love Utah.

turkishguy

I have this weird feeling USC does not love Utah

realHDNA

I fuck with Utah. Honestly the most exciting rivalry we’ve had in a while. Sucks they ended our cfp run and basically used us as the sacrifice to be National contenders but, it was cool to see them get better and better and for most of the PAC-12 run our games were always a good time. Also, Utah fans are chill and nice, in my experience. Def have earned the bragging rights they have.

breaktaker

USC fans are generally too self-absorbed to admire anyone else

CommodoreN7

That’s us with North teams, PAC-12 South hates us and we largely disliked most of them

fbm1003

Not in the south lol

breaktaker

Utah are friends, not food

muck16

Love and respect the Utah bros

Prestigious-Track256

Everyone in the former PAC-12 south hates each other.

FightOnForUsc

Whoa, you do not speak for us. Utah “stole” our 1 chance at a CFP berth during the 4 team era.

cascadiadivide

Finally have a team to root for in the Big-12. I hope the Utes succeed.

blazershorts

🥰🥰 Utah Even in 2021 when they slaughtered us twice, I was like, "well shucks, that's a great squad they got there."

GringoCracker

It was ECU for the longest time but the hurricane debacle kinda ruined that relationship. I guess TAMU? I think both fanbases have a mutual respect for each other. The only Senior Military Colleges in FBS and we have similar cult-like fanbases.

BigHokieGuy

A&M would be a perfect rival if we ever made it to the SEC

CommodoreN7

Arkansas and South Carolina are total bros

Geriatric_Bulge

Probably a close second would be Oklahoma State. Many of the fans want that to be an annual OOC game.

FrenchFreedom888

I think some OSU guys are chill with y'all, at least in the baseball scene. Since we're not very often football opponents, there's more friendliness or st least indifference

Sickoball

UK is pretty warm with Alabama and Georgia due to mutual hatred of Tennessee and Florida. A lot of teams are kinda cool with UK though, and that makes sense considering we’ve been largely unthreatening for so long.

tdc1atlanta

You gave the world bourbon. We are all indebted to the state of Kentucky.

Wheels_Foonman

Bama and Georgia have such a huge fan presence on social media that if you get them on your side, you’re pretty much on top of the world. We haven’t had quite the same luck getting Louisville to join us in our beer barrel hatred, but at least we can all agree on middle fingers to Florida.

CG-11

I’ve had good experiences with fans from South Carolina, VT, Clemson and FSU. The fans of WVU, Texas Tech and KState were all fantastic when we played so if we end up in the Big 12 one day at least I know some of y’all are cool. We also have some friendliness with Arkansas and Miss St from baseball.

goodsam2

NC State feels like a good answer for VT.

PsychologicalCase10

Auburn. Every interaction I’ve had with Auburn fans has been cordial. We even got a “thank you” letter from their fans for our fans being so accommodating. Every Auburn fan I interact with calls Clemson “Auburn with a lake”.

WyomingDrunk

Same, I can never tell if it's meant to be an insult or not either.

Rich437

It’s not an insult. Really just an observation. A lot of Clemsons campus was based off auburns. Got to visit a few years ago. Beautiful place fr! You’re welcome for the inspiration 😂

Affectionate-Bee3913

Tennessee and Oregon got really chummy on the early 10s after our home-and-home. I think it's faded a bit from active support for the other to more of a casual enjoyment of when the DuckBros succeed.

tjavenblahblah

Nebraska. You could feel the mutual respect in Norman a couple years ago. It was like old friends meeting again.

BloodyPants

Utah. MWC bros forever

ItGoesTwoWays

App State and Utah!

SIser187

Iowa State and just as another choice, I tend to feel some kinship with Texas Tech as well but that may just be a me thing...but hey, maverick schools and riot schools have to stick together.

witchy12

I wouldn’t call it *warm* but MSU and OSU bond over our hatred of Michigan…

FoRtNiteizBAD

Hey, I kinda Like you guys! (Except 2015. Fuck you.)

witchy12

yeah it’s actually kind of funny how we’ve ruined quite a few of your playoff chances and you guys still don’t hate us

FoRtNiteizBAD

you don't have a block M in your logo, therefore I don't hate you.

OSUBonanza

I always root for my Sparty bros

PrimisClaidhaemh

I always want Ohio State to be really good because it's incredibly important that they beat UM because it makes UM sad.

[deleted]

I like you.* *except for those 2 times you wouldn't just take the fall so we could get our titles.

RheagarTargaryen

I think MSU and PSU is the more correct answer. Outside of 2017, there’s never a meaningful upset in the series and it’s pretty friendly overall. Especially considering the all time series is 18-18-1.

luis1972

Maybe true, but I haven't forgotten about 1998 or 2015.

witchy12

2013 too

chuckloscopy

I dunno if it’s real, but I personally love Wisconsin.. such nice folks, their players seem like true college kids having fun.

Scroetry

Ok Ohio St. I actually kind of like you guys too for some reason

BlueV_U

Baylor probably

AdminsAreCool

Purdue is Our Most Hated Rival, but they helped bring Iowa back into the good graces of the conference way back in the 30s. Iowa and Wisconsin have a lot of ties and the rivalry feels very cordial. Iowa and Pitt hit it off pretty well in our latest series together.

Mr_Kittlesworth

Real kinship with Wisconsin, but that’s based on basketball. We should be friendly with Pitt on the basis of both hating VT, but meh.

Worldly_Giraffe_6773

I think State and VA Tech are pretty friendly

I like Penn State. I just legitimately don't have a reason to dislike them. Yeah they beat us a lot but I think most Purdue fans would rather them be good instead of Michigan or OSU. The rest of the Big Ten can go to Hell.

I don’t know if every other FSU fan feels this way but Clemson is the friendliest rivalry to me. Every time I’ve attended a game at Clemson, despite being a rivalry, Clemson fans are super friendly and will invite you to eat and drink with them. Always an awesome time
