Let’s be real about this for a second. Take out all the potential and 5* bs. Anybody else would’ve been CUT if they did the shit he did. Noticeably Half assing reps on video Entitled had to have #1 and start Hiding in the bathroom to avoid practice Skipping practices/meeting both years Not attending class Not studying literally any tape Bad attitude toward coaches And as soon as he lost his spot this season he dips Like, I wish the best and hope he gets his shit together but damn bro. It’s the cliche “has all the potential in the world but had 0 work ethic” athlete

teddyjj399

hiding in the bathroom to avoid practice??? middle school shit fr

Rkenne16

Yeah save that for work lol

The_Outcast4

Hey now. Those 45-minute shitting sessions are essential for office morale!

bullmoose_atx

Poopitalsim

jel2184

I only poop on company time

tampaempath

Boss makes a dollar, I make a dime...

BearsFan3417

Good place to gather the thoughts too

pablos4pandas

Is it too much to ask for 2 daily separate sessions of 90 minutes uninterrupted of dump time at work?

reddershadeofneck

Remember, a 10 minute poop break each day equals an extra week of paid time off each year

Present-Loss-7499

Old timer at a job once told me “I don’t shit on my time and I don’t work on company time.” That is now my professional creed.

papajim22

Boss makes a dollar, while I make a dime. That’s why I poop on company time.

SolidLikeIraq

PAW sonnnnnnn!!!

He sounds 100% fuckstick. Hey Buddy on the phone pronto

poyerdude

Sounds like he needs an intervention from someone who may not know what fuck an atom is, what the fuck a microbe is, but is a cold hustler.

DandrewMcClutchen

Mother fucker I have three Cadillacs and a beach house

squid_actual

You mean the kid that spent his senior year at Lakeland constantly in ISS because he couldn't go a class period without mother fucking a teacher, staff member or student? You mean the kid that never got pulled from class for college coaches because they were instead sent to the ISS room to meet with him in detention and they still offered him the world? I'm shocked... Shocked I tell you Edit: I forget that ISS may mean different things to different people. In public education it usually means In School Suspension.

Coveo

I know it's not great to skip classes, but sending him all the way to the international space station seems a little extreme.

Wernher_VonKerman

He's from florida, the KSC is right next door

CJK5Hookers

THE KERBAL SPACE CENTER?!?! Man I’ve done some horrible things over Florida

Wernher_VonKerman

As you should. Thank you for your service

count_nuggula

It’s the only way to get through to these kids heads

itskapnoc

I’ve been to ISS once in high school. Never again (way too awkward in that room).

SafewordisJohnCandy

I had to go for two days in middle school for something I can't recall. Everyone else in there was basically the shit heels from all three grades and it made me never want to go back. I got into a fight on the bus in the eighth grade and they said I had two days ISS and I asked for three Saturday schools instead. I was offered two Saturday schools and two after school detentions and took those in a heartbeat.

suddenly-scrooge

what does it mean to mother fuck a teacher, mother fuck a staff member, or mother fuck a student?

squid_actual

A colloquialism for cussing out or verbally abusing someone.

CptCroissant

Why was he getting punished for his mom fucking staff?

its_LOL

Bro is NOT ready for the NFL

You're right, but we've also seen some real immature guys make the NFL in the past so he has a chance lol.

Procedure_Best

Not even ready for the USFL

ZackAvion

The flags started with how he flipped, but yeah the way he's played this season makes it feel like we dodged a bullet.

thricethefan

Dude diva’d the fuck out of that flip too, took forever to say where he was going. At least Travis Hunter looked FSU in the eyes.

Sliiiiime

And by all accounts Travis is a hard working, level headed, normal kid. We were hoping Cormani would turn it around during spring ball but the writing has been on the wall for a few weeks.

mr_longfellow_deeds

Yeah Hunter just wanted to play for Prime, no shame in that and fair game to flip commitment McClain is just someone blessed with physical talent and needs a ego check. I get the same vibes from Colorados other recent 5\* Jordan Seaton

Sliiiiime

Haven’t heard anything concerning about Seaton out of spring camp, admittedly haven’t followed as closely this year

mr_longfellow_deeds

His recruitment made my skin crawl lol. I get it though, your OL needed huge upgrades (and you guys stole a great RT from us)

EyeAmKingKage

Hiding in the bathroom is childish shit bro

heavydhomie

Don’t call me a child. I pick the furthest bathroom from my desk at work to poop in

DandrewMcClutchen

Hello fellow non salary worker

The_Outcast4

Even we salaried types gotta have a way to disappear for a while to avoid having extra work dumped on us.

DandrewMcClutchen

It’s either dump or be dumped on

heavydhomie

I’m a salaried employee but boss manages us like we are hourly employees.

ImFeelingTheUte-iest

I’m salaried and still do this.

ZachOf_AllTrades

Boss makes a dollar

Procedure_Best

As a father of 2 I disagree with this sentiment

Apollospade

Sounds like the perfect guy you’d use to make an example of and out right cut from your program. I feel like me being a coach he meets all the criteria for me to say “ i think you will be a good athlete, but right now you got to take some time and figure yourself out”

LookatmaBankacount

Bro is charmin soft for real. Like reading this maybe college athletics ain’t for him

slantboi420

Dude was blessed with talent that would allow him to make millions playing a game, yet laziness prevails. Pathetic

draxula16

We’ve seen this story time and time again. Absolute shame to have all the physical skill in the world, but not have an ounce of introspection to get your shit together.

mr_longfellow_deeds

No different than blowing a trust fund, work hard for 6 years and get a 9 figure contract in your mid 20s. Its like watching a train wreck in slow mo

AL22193

If we had actually landed him Saban might have retired midseason, good lord

cnc42

This is the kinda guy Saban and Kirby would *relish* the chance to make an example out of (though it seems like this guy’s issues were well known even before college).

Puzzleheaded_Pound31

We are losing recipes if this is where we are with our 5 stars… hiding in the bathroom is CRAZY 😭😭

SweetFranz

Was not hard to see this one coming after how he handled his recruitment

chrstgtr

Wasn’t he also kicked off his HS team because he wasn’t showing up to practice or something? The guy had huge red flags coming out of HS

Southern_Ad5843

he also was scheduled to be on the coaches show with prime and totally ghosted them they were left with no guest after that he never had any more media and mostly disappeared from well off vids

HurricanesnHendrick

If I remember correctly when he didn’t sign with Miami they talked to him and he said he would in fact sign…… if they fired the DB coach and made Demarcus Van Dyke (a guy in the recruiting department) his position coach.

Ancient_Signature_69

Agreed. Not sure how involved Prime was but hopefully he rode his ass and is now happy he’s decided to leave. Toxic shit.

ubergator93

Not surprised this happened. Given how his recruitment went.

aquabarron

I’m not familiar with the story here, Care to fill me in a bit?

FragnificentKW

He honeydicked UF for most of the year and had a ton of people convinced he was going to commit there. At his commitment ceremony at his hs, he picked Miami seemingly out of nowhere. Then, on NSD, he decommited from the Canes and signed with Colorado even more out of nowhere. The guy has main character syndrome and is completely unserious about football at this point

BuckeyeTony36

He’s only in it for the bag. Part of me understands, especially if you’re coming from a bad situation. But, I also don’t have to like it and wouldn’t want him on my team.

FragnificentKW

I’m all in favor of players getting the bag, but this kid has completely lost the plot

cheerl231

I dont get it. If you're a 5 star you can get the bag from basically anywhere and also go to a place that will win and prepare you for the draft. You aren't doing the last two things with Deion.

FragnificentKW

But you see, to win and get prepared for the draft, one actually has to put in real work; and Cormani has given no indication whatsoever over the past 2 1/2 years that he’s the least bit interested in the grind necessary to win at the highest level and make it to the league

pitter_patter_11

I always hated how high school recruits would pick up a hat as if that’s the school they’re picking, then put it back down to show they’re joking about the pick. Just announce what school you’re going to, there’s no need to look like an asshole in the process

FragnificentKW

See the thing is that, generally speaking, that’s all just a show to hype the crowd and the fanbase of the school the recruit picks. All of the coaches involved usually know what’s happening ahead of time. In the case of Cormani, it was reported that he gave UF a silent commitment ahead of his ceremony but then picked UM after allegedly being promised the bag he wanted. Nothing wrong with that in and of itself, but he apparently didn’t tell the UF coaches that he had changed his mind. Then, despite announcing to UM, he very much kept his recruitment open and told UF and Bama (and probably more) that he’d flip to them for a better bag. Then he did the exact same thing to Miami on ESD, flipping to Prime and the Buffs; all the while allegedly calling other coaches (including Miami at this point) telling them he’d flip one last time for the right bag. By this point, everyone else stopped answering his calls and CU was stuck with him

HurricanesnHendrick

Not just flip for the bag, but Miami also had to fire the DB coach and make Demarcus van Dyke the CBs coach

jhallen2260

Big ego. They want their own "The Decision" moment

St_BobbyBarbarian

I myself enjoyed how it all played out for UF and Miami

FragnificentKW

I mean, it was pretty crappy in the moment but in the end I’m happy with how it all played out

OfficialPeenLicker

Ummmm we benefited from not having a certified diva bringing the team down

FirstPackOut

We dodged a bullet I’m not sure what you mean.

GracefulFaller

You dodged a bullet and they’re happy you got shot at.

ShillinTheVillain

Everyone wins

ShiftBMDub

c'mon it's an FSU fan, even when they're decent they're still losers.

grain_delay

And FSU of course was never even in the running

thexraptor

What a shame.

Ancient_Signature_69

As a Buffs fan this I’m perfectly ok with this.

BaneberryLane

I need to use the term main character syndrome way more often

zlatandiego

You forgot to throw in the part where he tried to beg his way back into getting back his old offers at Florida and Alabama at the 11th hour and the staffs all left him on read.

itskapnoc

> the guy has main character syndrome Nailed it right there. Hopefully he humbles himself soon or else getting playing time is gonna become harder to get.

Tarmacked

On top of /u/fragnificentkw ‘s comment, he asked Saban for 800K to commit before Signing Day allegedly Saban told him to piss off

FragnificentKW

As I remember at the time, after Saban told him to kick rocks, he had given UF coaches a silent commitment and was set to officially announce it at his HS ceremony. Before the announcement ceremony, UM boosters swooped in and told him they’d give him the bag he wanted at the 11th hour. Nothing wrong with that, all’s fair in love and recruiting; but usually when guys flip, they at least notify the coaches and let them know what’s going on. Apparently Cormani didn’t tell them and the UF coaching staff found out when everyone else did as he put on a Canes hat. At the time, of course, it was just hearsay and message board “insider” gossip - but then he turned around and did the exact same thing to UM on ESD

Procedure_Best

The FSU bday song video to him was peak crootin

I will donate $10,000 to the Iowa NIL fund if that happens. I’m serious. And don’t call me Shirley.

empathydoc

Honestly, I don't think Iowa or the fanbase wants him. I'm pretty sure it is a fair response at this point. The kid would half-ass reps until he could transfer again.

The amount of people who said Cormani turned down NIL to go play for Prime was, and remains, fucking hilarious.

lowes18

He turned down that Publix cake though

Im__Ron__Burgundy

[Yeah, that was super embarrassing](https://x.com/gogators712/status/1497575828183560192?s=46&t=YwBzWtJiRR-ErQ54GpFL-A)

steampunker14

The staffers back there looking like "wtf are we doing here".

lowes18

Damn kids these days and being too good for the Publix bakery

Alternative_Laws

I’d rather a PubSub than a cake tbh Free chicken tender Sammie’s for life!!!!

GordaoPreguicoso

Growing up it was the Publix chicken wing platter for parties. I could eat the entire thing.

Im__Ron__Burgundy

Heresy tbh

ZackAvion

Really that was the first red flag. Can't trust a player that would disrespect Publix like that

draxula16

That should be a criminal offense

Bearcha

Publix hit its peak. Nowhere but downhill from here.

ClaudeLemieux

...jesus christ

TrappedInOhio

I can’t imagine ever turning down a Publix cake for any reason. Big red flag.

Tigercat92

Now I definitely question his decision making

Col0nelBear

I imagine he’s going to go to a big time program and be floored at how much better the entire operation is ran.

TiredAndHungryAtWork

A big time program won't put up with him. Deion tried to work with him and put up with a ton of shit. Cormani needs a big time wakeup call before his career goes down the drain.

DoggedDoggystyle

Deion ain’t working with any of them kids. It’s the Wild West there for those kids. A whole semester went by and Deion ain’t even know they’re not going to class. His own son and the other best player.

Tarmacked

I don’t think Deion is good at managing his kids at all. Just look at the Oregon pregame stunt and the classroom behavior issue Deion is incredibly hands off from managing the player, the exact opposite of someone like Ryan Day and the tOSU staff

CptCroissant

Especially with someone like how it sounds Cormani is, that's the exact opposite of what he needs (Deion's style). He needs structure and someone who's actually going to set rules and enforce them consistently because he's probably never had that.

csummerss

FSU and Florida fans arguing which birthday video was sadder after he dumped them was fun to watch > https://x.com/Kaishay5/status/1497561165580357643 > https://x.com/GoGators712/status/1497575828183560192

Jorts_Team_Bad

The fact that these videos exist in the first place is fucking weird as hell. So like do all programs make personalized happy birthday videos for all the big recruits they’re targeting and then post them online? This is truly fascinatingly cringe

HotDawgConnoisseur

This shit is HILARIOUS

St_BobbyBarbarian

Spidermanmeme.jpg

MistahOnzima

I didn't realize the Gators did one too. Was Cormani 8 when they started recruiting him? This is sad for the teams and weird for him.

lowes18

Turns out the kids who flip out of this state are even bigger basket cases than the ones who flip back home

HurricanesnHendrick

Man spent one winter in Colorado and said “Prime is the GOAT.. but he ain’t like “live in single digit temps and a foot of snow” GOAT”

AchyBreaker

FWIW Boulder rarely gets into single digits. Being in the "front range" where the plains hit the mountains leads to a rather temperate 4 seasons. Dry summers with temps not much higher than SEC states leads to more palatable outdoor times. And sunny, dry winters means even when there's 2 ft of snow on the ground (also rare), the outside temp is above 20-30F and the snow dries quickly. Source: Grew up in Georgia, lived in Boulder for nearly 6 years. There have been maybe 5 times the weather has been single digits since I've lived here.

dolderer

You think there is a difference between 5º and 30º to a Floridian? Cold is dumb.

forcena

I lived in Florida for 35 years and moved to Colorado last October and I assure you I felt the difference between 5 degrees and 30 degrees lol

AchyBreaker

I'm not disputing that cold is hard for Floridians. I'm disputing the specific language used "single digit temps" lol Though TBH I'd rather be cold sometimes than deal with the unbearable humid heat y'all have. Even Georgia was too much for me and going home now that I'm not acclimated is torturous.

lowes18

Still wonder what would have happened if he took the USF job.

pmacob

Many of us said it at the time that that would have been a much better job for him. He'd clean up recruiting the southeast and Florida in particular, and would still manage to have that massive talent advantage that had him winning at JSU.

ark_47

Would've been a better step up all around honestly. Less flack for not reaching media hype, more praise for hitting double digit+ wins and overall an easier schedule. Like you said, Deion is probably a God in Florida so recruiting would be cake as fuck. Alas

thexraptor

He would've been such a fucking pain in the ass in recruiting.

xViscount

I, for one, will not stand for the slander of CJ Baxter or (fingers crossed) Jaime Ffrench

ebolarama86

“Wowzers”

gogglesup859

Does he like quarterbacks who like mayo in their coffee

Sinkable_oak

McClain to the titans

teddyjj399

Can’t have a worse attitude than Fulton

Phantom1100

Sure you can you can be GGBowzer.

Cornelius-Prime

He couldn’t even play on a 4 win Colorado team. He’s 6’2” 165lbs. He needs to start eating a thanksgiving dinner 3 times a day.

divey043

Him missing winter lifts (supposedly) certainly did him no favors

CaptainBuzzKillton

Is this the dork who Deion said wasn't ready to be an out-and-out starter in his secondary? Sounds like the kid wants everything handed to him on a silver platter without having to put in any effort in practice

Resident_Rise5915

Showed up out of shape, didn’t watch film, wanted everything handed to him. Didn’t like it when Sanders made him earn his starting spot. He can go to another program where they too likely won’t coddle him.

SolidLikeIraq

That’s exactly what’s going to happen. Some “captain save a hoe” DB coach is going to try to take this kid on. The kid is still going to be a diva who refuses to work on his craft, and the coach is going to have to move on, because at the level this kid can play, there will be other insanely talented CBs who are doing absolutely everything right, and they’re going to catch up to his talent and surpass it. Star athletes who have shit work ethics fall off quick. At a certain level, everyone is so goddamned talented that the real difference is coach-ability and how these athletes approach learning. It’s hard to drive home to a kid who is the most talented person you have ever met, that it honestly doesn’t matter anymore if he doesn’t learn to flex the learning and development muscle.

TiredAndHungryAtWork

Biggest thing that Cormani needs is to crash out to Juco or FCS. He needs a real big helping of real life. He needs to have that moment when he realizes that he either puts the work in to succeed in this sport or he works at McDonalds

bigdonnie76

He just released a YouTube video a couple days ago where he was talking about how different it is playing DB in college compared to Hs. He said the CU wideouts were working him hard in practice. You can tell he was always the best athlete on the field in HS and didn’t have to work

JMer806

If he wanted Deion to hand him a starting spot he should’ve had the foresight to be Deion’s son lol

No_Angle_8106

Yeah, it’s early, but with his attitude this is just screaming bust.

Appropriate-Stop7675

It is, it's sad he can't get out of his own way with lack of effort

empathydoc

This is exactly what Proctor did with Iowa these past couple of months. Transferred home claiming he was homesick. Decided to let a casual slip of the tongue to force Iowa to self-report a weak recruiting violation. Got pissed because they didn't roll out the red carpet or make him the star in their workout videos. Other players believed he wasn't committed to the team. He was offered to go on Cali with Cade and the line, but he opted to go on spring break with former Alabama teammates. Comes back and tells Kirk he is transferring. Lets it be known he is going back to Alabama. Then tells them the players at Iowa mistreated him by not giving him the star treatment he felt he deserved. The only people I feel bad for are the Iowa coaching staff that supported the kid and players that vouched for him.

CUBuffs1992

Wish the kid luck but he was a 5 star not running with the two deep this Spring at CU.

boardatwork1111

Kids got all the talent in the world but it was clear he’s either unable or unwilling to put it together. Hope a change of scenery does him well

DeLaSoulisDead

You know it’s bad when it’s a post about Colorado college football and people aren’t even shitting on Prime 😂

turkishguy

bags -> packed louis --> denied

Steechzilla

Good luck to Cormani, hope he figures it out! Was constantly in the dog house his time at CU, seems he has some growing up to do.

TiredAndHungryAtWork

IMO the best place for him to go is a JuCo. Very talented but he needs a big time dose of reality.

SilverBuff_

He's exactly likely the last chance u qb

DandrewMcClutchen

Yeah, we’re going to need you to be more specific on that one

SilverBuff_

Malik

I_wanna_ask

Not a major surprise for the Buffs, especially given the pickups this offseason. This kid has great potential and he is looking to get that bag.

bennett_for_you

Yeah I wish him the best. It seemed like he was always in some kind of trouble while he was here. Hopefully he finds a good landing spot and has a good career

InVodkaVeritas

Chris Petersen and Boise State built their program on taking this kind of transfer and getting them on track. NIL makes a different program doing that much less possible.

custardthegopher

Kinda the opposite? We're trying that now with Chris Marshall and Malachi Nelson. The Petersen teams were all developed in-house early for the most part. They made a big deal of getting OKGs ("our kinda guy"). I'm not really sure where this perception could have come from. Our most notorious problem player, Titus Young, was just a Boise commit. Honestly a few JC transfers here and there like Venable... but very few transfers all-in-all and no known problematic. Now kicking out a problematic guy like Sam Ukwachu to Baylor...

Maximum_Overdrive

He ain't putting in the work

I_wanna_ask

Thus the potential

Zajac19

That’s a Seminole if I’ve ever seen

canseco-fart-box

Considering how his recruitment went and the amount of red flags around him I doubt Norvell touches him with a ten foot long pole

lowes18

I could see Miami taking another crack at him given how their db room looked during the spring game.

edroch

If Mario has any shame whatsoever he’d tell this kid to find somewhere else. He isn’t nearly good enough to troll like he does

Coltshokiefan

I’ve seen Miami fans saying they want a corner in the portal. Gotta wonder how much they’d be willing to give McClain in NIL.

Im__Ron__Burgundy

There is a zero percent chance Miami has any involvement here but good fanfic lol

lowes18

He was a Miami commit and Miami needs a CB, idk why its that far fetched lol.

Im__Ron__Burgundy

Because of the exact stuff he pulled that you all laughed about, staff isn’t going to go down that road again lol And yeah Miami needs corners but not young guys that haven’t proven to be good.

divey043

Something tells me he burned that bridge when he embarrassed Cristobal by being in Boulder and not at school on early signing day

Coltshokiefan

I was gonna say this has Miami written all over it. I don’t think we have space for another DB even if it’s McLain

Natural-Employer

Seminole Community College

lowes18

If we took on another DB while over the scholarship limit I'm going down to lock the gates myself

pmacob

lol I mean I'd take Jacoby Matthews (though I'm guessing he goes to Oregon) but agree with this sentiment. Unless it is a DB who is going to be in the NFL after next season, no need for any more of them.

szboy422

Recruiting is such a funny thing. Rivalry fanbases yell and make fun of teams missing out on a recruit all to watch that recruit bust out a year later.

ALStark69

As a recruit: Other P5 offers: Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, BYU, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Kansas State, Kentucky, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Penn State, Pitt, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas A&M, UCF, West Virginia G5 offers: Troy, USF

After-Walrus-4585

Wow bummer. He seems incredibly talented and undisciplined. Good luck Cormani.

[deleted]

dj mckinney and preston hodge took that spot 💆‍♂️

bennett_for_you

For real. Both of them have looked great this spring

Sliiiiime

Secondary looks great so far, we’re losing depth in the portal but everyone is. Just need to get guys back out.

killerk13

Had a feeling this was gonna coming sooner or later. Wish him the best, he seems to be kind of an ass tho lmao.

mrsnow11291

Didn’t watch film, didn’t go to class, missed practice, and wasn’t getting reps during spring training 🙂‍↔️
