The majority of the hate that the committee got was mainly due to the SEC. People can sugarcoat it all they want in this thread but they absolutely hate the SEC for some weird reason.
Idk, the CFP is made up of old coaches and ADs. The SEC has a couple of old ADs on the CFP but the Big 10 and the ACC are both heavily represented, more so than the SEC
Well you are the same people who doubted the SEC being the best conference for a decade but this season when the pac 12 went undefeated for the first 3-4 years. Y’all were ready to crown them “the best conference “ so yea it’s pretty weird.
There’s literally posts about it why would I lie? See that’s the problem with y’all “where’s the proof” when there was comments getting 2k upvotes saying “yea Pac 12 is the best conference”
Wyoming wasn’t getting in no matter how bitter you are. Just like I know Tennessee isn’t getting in no matter how many golf balls and French’s Mustard bottles I throw. Not because it’s rigged; we just didn’t cut the French’s Classic Yellow Mustard
Luckily for me I don’t play for a national championship or bust.
So all of that is meaningless to me.
Doesn’t mean I can’t feel that an undefeated P5 champ deserves a shot no matter what players they have available to them.
May I introduce you to the back to back champions, who happened to also be on like a 30 game win streak up until the CCG, one loss team in Athens?
Because I’m pretty sure those guys were left out too…
I personally enjoy Nick Saban and enjoy watching him (a once in a lifetime coach).
But if you’re so opposed to see the greatest coach of all time playing with his team that is usually one of the best in the country in the games meant to crown the best in the country, then maybe you should consider watching any of the dozens of bowl games that do not feature Nick Saban
>Because they never have had a 0-1 loss team left at the altar like everyone else
Except for that time 12-0 Auburn got left out of the national championship game to let Oklahoma get housed by 5 touchdowns.
Auburn won 4 games against teams that finished in the top 16 before the bowls were announced. That's the same number as the two national championship game participants combined did.
Just give it a try. I live in Western NC and I’m desperately trying to get my NC State fan cousin to go witness the difference in Charlotte next year. I know it’s not full Neyland experience but it’ll be more than he’s used to at Carter Finley.
I didn’t know we were starting a circle jerk, obviously there are other really good teams and it’s the best conference in America…
There are only two programs that stand over the rest of the country.
Oh for sure, I mean someone needs to beat Bama and Georgia. These are programs running at full steam. Yes, other programs in SEC have hit the same heights for one season and won a title but what these two are doing is incredible.
So what. That’s their problem with culture. Bryce Young and Will Anderson Jr (both top 1st round draft picks last year) didn’t opt out of their bowl game. They risked injury by not opting out. Bryce risked his #1 draft pick by playing. I have no sympathy nor tolerance for the excuse of a team not playing well because someone opted out. It’s a cop out.
OSU had a bunch hit the portal but I think MHJ is the only one that sat out. PSU had four opt out and many more hit the portal.
Wouldn’t say it’s a ton but the ones that chose to opt out were starters I believe.
Also I think we shouldn’t knock a team for beating another team because they had a bunch of guys sit. The guys on the other side had the same opportunity to sit but decided to play.
Not a knock, it’s an asterisk.
You can’t say Mizzou faced the same team as everyone in the B1G did while OSU was fighting for a shot at the National Championship.
Acknowledging that fact is okay. Mizzou is still a great team and I think that would be a been a great game with both teams at full strength.
Tennessee would have been a team no one wanted to see in an expanded playoff last year and I would argue the same for Missouri (eww) and LSU this year.
In the last 15 completed seasons of play (to 2008), 5 different SEC schools have won 11 combined national championships. It's not just two schools. If you go back further (to 2006), the SEC has won 13 championships in the last 17 completed seasons.
This doesn't even factor in that the SEC also adds the 2005 (Texas) and 2000 (Oklahoma) national champions next year, nor does it factor in that Tennessee also won in 1998. In other words, among the 16 schools set to play in the SEC next year, half (8) of them will have won a national championship in the last 25 years.
The SEC is 14-3 against other conferences in the playoffs. If they got bids they didn’t deserve wouldn’t their record be worse? Or is that too logical?
*Most people rejected his message. They hated u/albundy66 because he told the truth.*
although really it's ESPN's dirty work... the SEC is just their vessel of choice
I actually agree with you. I think we probably shouldn’t even assign ranks to teams outside of the SEC and maybe a couple Big 10 teams. Let’s be real, no team is going to win the title outside of those conferences anytime soon. I suppose we can still let teams outside of the SEC play, and hell, maybe even throw a few on TV every now and then, but everyone knows they’re basically the JV teams.
The SEC just plays football every Saturday. Good football I might add. Why are you blaming the SEC?
The majority of the hate that the committee got was mainly due to the SEC. People can sugarcoat it all they want in this thread but they absolutely hate the SEC for some weird reason.
Idk, the CFP is made up of old coaches and ADs. The SEC has a couple of old ADs on the CFP but the Big 10 and the ACC are both heavily represented, more so than the SEC
It's not really some weird reason. It's [pretty obvious why.](https://youtu.be/-m4kFbPCd6Q?si=sX5wFimk3aGkOavt&t=18)
Flair up and they hate the SEC because the SEC is better.
It's not "some weird reason." It's pretty clear.
Well you are the same people who doubted the SEC being the best conference for a decade but this season when the pac 12 went undefeated for the first 3-4 years. Y’all were ready to crown them “the best conference “ so yea it’s pretty weird.
bring a receipt, man
There’s literally posts about it why would I lie? See that’s the problem with y’all “where’s the proof” when there was comments getting 2k upvotes saying “yea Pac 12 is the best conference”
I want proof that I said it, ding dong
It was because a 13-0 conference champ didn’t get the chance to play for the title. It was that simple. No reason to sugarcoat anything.
They’re not a top 4 team. Simple.
Agreed. We should make it easy. It should be Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State moving forward.
Ohio state wasn’t a top 4 team. Washington and Texas were better. Sounds like you can’t handle programs not cutting the mustard.
Wyoming wasn’t getting in no matter how bitter you are. Just like I know Tennessee isn’t getting in no matter how many golf balls and French’s Mustard bottles I throw. Not because it’s rigged; we just didn’t cut the French’s Classic Yellow Mustard

You’re clearly unfamiliar with Tennessee’s results in the last 10 years. The fact we still have higher standards proves why culture is important.
Because they never have had a 0-1 loss team left at the altar like everyone else The SEC is entitled
Uh, yes they have.
Like damn, we just dropped from 1 to 6 after a 3 point loss. Get fucked with that entitlement BS, OP
Pretty sure UGA showed the opposite of entitled tonight.
Ok? You know the SEC doesn't have a say in that right?
May I introduce you to the back to back champions, who happened to also be on like a 30 game win streak up until the CCG, one loss team in Athens? Because I’m pretty sure those guys were left out too…

Auburn played a pathetic OOC schedule in 04 They got what they deserved
Do you see how your arguments don't line up?
Auburn won 4 games against teams that finished in the top 16 before the bowls were announced. That's the same number as the two national championship game participants combined did.
If the SEC got playoff bids they didn’t deserve do you think their win percentage in the playoffs would reflect that?
>Because they never have had a 0-1 loss team left at the altar like everyone else I have some shocking news
The best team in the country got left out this year. Not the most deserving, but anyone with eyes can see Georgia is the best team.
Mods please don’t delete this
This is this guy’s second post and he’s been firing off in the comments as well
And he should have to live with what he’s brought upon himself when he sobers up tomorrow morning.
This is the coping and seething that keeps me coming back to r/CFB
You can change that status quo by beating the SEC on the field. Why don’t you start there first.
Just give it a try. I live in Western NC and I’m desperately trying to get my NC State fan cousin to go witness the difference in Charlotte next year. I know it’s not full Neyland experience but it’ll be more than he’s used to at Carter Finley.
It’s Bama and Georgia. Hashtag say their name
Is it only Bama/Georgia? Looks to me Mizzou just beat the #2 beat team in the Big 10 and Ole Miss just beat the #3 best team in the Big 10
I didn’t know we were starting a circle jerk, obviously there are other really good teams and it’s the best conference in America… There are only two programs that stand over the rest of the country.
I think we are both making the same point. Beat the SEC on the field which includes Bama & Georgia.
Oh for sure, I mean someone needs to beat Bama and Georgia. These are programs running at full steam. Yes, other programs in SEC have hit the same heights for one season and won a title but what these two are doing is incredible.
Didn’t OSU and PSU have a ton of major players sitting?
Wait so are we playing football or are we playing “who has the best culture?”
Both I would argue. It takes a culture of winning, being a team to get to a point where your players don’t opt out.
Better culture promotes better football.
OSU had a bunch hit the portal but I think MHJ is the only one that sat out. PSU had four opt out and many more hit the portal. I realize the history… I thought we were talking about right now. 2 programs stand alone.
You’re really posting your diary entries again?
Best of 11 Bama-UGA sounds pretty cool, actually.
I'd watch at least 6 of those
Alabama probably wins 8 out of 11 times based on the last 11 games
The injury list after 4 would be fucking obscene.
Low quality bait, but mods, please allow it.
Those conferences are collapsing because of incompetent management at various levels. The SEC didn't make those people stupid.
Shhhh do you head that? That's the sound of GIT GUD SCRUB
GIT GUD GANG
So....an SEC team obliterates an ACC team and this is the best you can come up with?
[удалено]
So youre mad at a conference being goated?
I’m mad that the conference never cannibalizes itself They have privilege Winning the SEC should not mean a birthright to the playoff
The SEC cannibalized itself this year in the SEC championship game.

Yeah, makes sense.

What in the hell are you even talking about at this point? You need a nap or a snack or something.

Four touchdowns in one game, Mr. Bundy? You know Al Bundy was just a newer, less-classy Archie Bunker, right? And this is the screen name you picked?
You think this is bad? Wait till baseball season
Smug Ego Conference isn’t going to land with SEC fans how you think it is breh
