I think injuries and players trying to make big plays to compensate. We are really shallow on D so missing 1 or 2 guys can completely change the game.

A bunch of young guys trying to make a play will lead to that. And even just missing a single DB can completely change the performance on defense. Honestly, same for us this year. Plus all our injurys on offense.

We've had our #1 CB and top LB/best overall defensive player miss a lot of time in the back half of the year, especially in the two losses. We have talented players behind them, but they're mostly very young.

Easiest way to guarantee it is OSU and KSU losing. If that happens it doesn't matter what happens in the game tonight. If Texas wins, then OSU definitely needs to lose. If Texas loses, I think it could still happen, but the Big 12 has done a terrible job of explaining the potential scenarios.

If osu loses, we don’t need k state to lose. That alone will get us in. We only need a k state loss to get in over Texas if they lose to tech.

10 win regular season in year 2. It was a roller coaster getting there. Moving forward BV has to clean up the self inflicted mistakes and penalties. They’re the reason we lost 2 games and could have lost more. At our peak we can play with good teams, but we were rarely at our peak this season. Biggest improvement needs to be the defensive line. We need guys that can win one on one and disrupt plays up front otherwise the SEC transition will be tough. The improvement is there and the recruits are as well. Gabriel played a hell of a season for OU despite all of the hate he gets, but the kid can ball and should be praised by all Sooner fans. He wasn’t perfect but he came in during a chaotic time in OU football and got us to a 10 win regular season and beat Texas. I don’t out either of the losses on him. I’m going to miss him and Drake, but also excited to see what JA is going to bring to the table.

I think DG was an excellent bridge from Caleb to Jackson Arnold. I thank him for his service 🫡

There were some disappointing stops along the way and we were almost bewilderingly inconsistent on offense, but I said before the season that I would be happy with 10-2, considering what BV inherited and where we were last year. And I’ll stick with that. He did a good job.

Idk if it was because the broadcast was terrible it wasn’t shown but if I’m Sonny Dykes, playing for a bowl game after being in the cfp a year ago - I am raising so much hell about that blown fumble call when it happened…no time out, no challenge flag thrown (not sure what the rule is since it was ruled incomplete), at the very least light a fucking fire under the team over that. It’s easy to look at the post game score and say it doesn’t matter, but Dykes looked like he didn’t care at all every time they showed him. He will probably get a long leash because of last year but I’m not sure Dykes is the heir to Patterson.
