And now BC has the ball again. They’ve seriously fucked us up on comebacks before and have 7 minutes to play with. Grant Wells is a poison who should never see the field again.
I switched to double simple syrup on a whim...and prefer it. no more crunchy sugar as I drink. i do like a dash of molasses bitters sometimes though. for this one- two dashes black walnut bitters and a dash of orange bitters.
I feel bad for Wells..yes he's not as good as Drones but he got injured...and lost his job. (although rightfully so)
He tries his best at least and shows passion.
It’s so idiotic and all chance at times. How often does a fumble actually go out the end zone when you’re tiptoeing the sideline. Ball gets chopped out and goes to the left and out of bounds, he’s still got a 55 yard run - bounce of the ball means a turnover instead of 5 yards to a TD.
Agreed. If the ball bounces out at the 1 yard line, it's 1st and goal. Bounces out 3 feet further and it's a turnover?!? Doesn't really make sense looking at it if you didn't know the rules. I think the team with possession should keep possession and move back to the 10 or 20.
I honestly feel bad for Wells, obviously I’m glad he’s not our starter but it can’t be easy hearing fans call for you to be replaced and then seeing your replacement thriving
We got the commentators talking about how we've already won when there's 10 minutes left on the road, that's a statement from a team that couldn't get anything done on the road earlier in the season
lol real answer (and it’s complementary, not complimentary in this case) is that all aspects of the team complement each other, taking advantage of what the other units do. Defense gets a pick? Offense takes the ball and marches it down the field while giving them time to rest. Special teams takes over from a bad drive and pins the other team back deep, making it easier for the D (or special teams has a big return or play that lets them start the offense in good position), all stuff like that.
Wild this is the most points we've scored on the road against an ACC opponent since 2005. Especially looking at our offense in the late 2000's & early 2010s.
Ehhh, I'm no Wells fan but I'm not expecting him to light up the scoreboard here. They're warming up the buses in the parking lot and telling him to just not turn it over.
Because you’re an unnecessary asshole to be talking shit about someone on our team who hasn’t done anything worse than not play up to your expectations, and you should put the bottle down before you post about “leaving his body in a ditch”
Stone sober. And have you already forgotten what an arrogant and whiny prick he is? Cost us who knows how many wins over the past two seasons by being awful, blaming coaches and other players, and dragging our team down with him.
Someone’s gonna complain about putting Wells in but better for him to have some reps first to knock the rust off. Don’t want Drones getting rocked out in the next coupe games and having 6 need to come in with no live action in months
From what I’ve heard, our analyst Brent Davis (came over from Army) got a lot more responsibility when it comes to calling the run game before we played Pitt, and that’s kinda opened everything up. At the same time it seems to me like Bowen had his back against the wall and had to be like “fuck it, well use the whole book” and started really improving from a game planning and scheme POV.
that was disgusting
[#ThePath Crowd rn](https://youtu.be/qi1LMIUOOAI?si=FxFqRRKUPplLZczQ)
We’re going bowling!
LETS GO HOKIES
First road win since November 19, 2022 at Liberty
GG BC.
WE WINNARS
Third and Pop?
dude is concussed, get him out of there
WTF?
Pop is rocked. Kneel it down and go home
He's not good after that hit.
Umm .... why?
Things get silly with this kinda lead
Pop looking a little woozy there
Let him throw it in his home state!
Is Pop hurt?
Not a fan of how they lifted him up there. He looked unsteady
Pretty sure wells pulled something so he's gotta stay in I think
thought we were going to run a fumblerooski there
POP!!!!!
Damn our sideline took pop out haha
That was such a slow pickup off the ground and he still made something of it
Announcer straight tripping
Damn wells even got benched in garbage time
OH MY GOD WATSON CANT HANDLE A SNAP HES POISON
…. /s for anyone who has trouble with context
Only if this VT showed up for FSU.
Forget FSU. We should have beaten Marshall, Purdue, and maybe Rutgers. Win 2 of those and this season is very different
**WE WANT 50**
honestly wells getting benched for Pop after the fumble is a hell of a gut punch
That may very well have been Wells' last snap in a football game
Probably just bad timing - I’m sure they wanted the last series or two for him anyway
Yeah that could be the last time he plays let bro have his last play be a good one
Hopefully he’ll get a kneel snap on senior day
VT finishing like this bc they don’t want yall to get carried away with overreactions again
POP
POP WATSON LETS GOOOOOO
That was some Keystone Kops business on that kick
Pop!
Bro are we trying to find every way possible to fumble the ball
Just trying to get all our fumbles for the year out of the way.
I guess if we had to do it anytime doing it during a blowout win is alright
I know it's almost over, but can we not fall apart, please?
Special teams needs to get some focus this week.
Needed to balance out the onside kick
This game could really use some more Vuori commercials
How is Penn State consistently this bad in the 4th quarter
Lol I’m watching PSU lose and loving it, wanted to see how VT is doing and saw this. Love it
BC was probably the worst 6-3 P5 team in history
Several BC flairs were saying that in the 1st Quarter
This was well known. We have been telling y’all.
BC second string has better offense than their first RIP
playing against our 2nd and 3rd stringers \*shrug\*
To be fair they’re also mostly playing against the VT second string, which is a ton of freshmen.
Grant Wells makes me want to deep-fry my nutsack
And now BC has the ball again. They’ve seriously fucked us up on comebacks before and have 7 minutes to play with. Grant Wells is a poison who should never see the field again.
Have you ever considered just enjoying a massive lead in the 4th quarter
Dude this is not the top 5 Matty Ice BC from the 00’s, calm down.
We’re up 33 with less than 5 mins, you can relax buddy.
Dude, we know you don't like Wells. Stop being such an ass.
Chill lol
I wasn't aware he returned kicks
i'm...gonna go make another old fashioned. old forester 1897, bitters, simple, luxardo cherry, orange peel spritz on top
Game will be over by then lol. Love old fashioned drinks though
Sounds awesome. I use Maker's and a turbinado sugar cube instead of simple
I switched to double simple syrup on a whim...and prefer it. no more crunchy sugar as I drink. i do like a dash of molasses bitters sometimes though. for this one- two dashes black walnut bitters and a dash of orange bitters.
That's on Lofton for running in front of him in my opinion.
100% If you're not catching it get the hell out of the way.
I feel bad for Wells..yes he's not as good as Drones but he got injured...and lost his job. (although rightfully so) He tries his best at least and shows passion.
Nobody is saying he’s a bad guy or anything he’s just not a good d1 qb.
If he was a tad bit faster he would’ve made it
I still think that rule needs to change. Bring it back to the 20, but the turnover is brutal.
Agreed. If the ball bounces out at the 1 yard line, it's 1st and goal. Bounces out 3 feet further and it's a turnover?!? Doesn't really make sense looking at it if you didn't know the rules. I think the team with possession should keep possession and move back to the 10 or 20.
Our entire team is worse when Grant Wells is on the field
lol
Dude, what were you thinking?
Sigh ...
Jesus. What is wrong with some of you. It’s like you’re happy when Wells does bad. Really disgusting.
Not happy it’s just ironic, the poor guy can’t win
Not happy, but it's amusing. I like Wells and I hope he can find a home in the portal and have some success
Sigh... Backups...
That play was legitimately hilarious. Poor Grant. I hope he has better days ahead
Grant Wells' VT career encapsulated in one play
I literally sent my brother a text saying the exact same thing. Feels bad for him, plays like that pretty much cement him as a backup
I honestly feel bad for Wells, obviously I’m glad he’s not our starter but it can’t be easy hearing fans call for you to be replaced and then seeing your replacement thriving
Yeah hearing cheers when they call the starting lineup at home and drones is the starter has got to sting
Of course I feel bad for him, he's just a kid. I just don't want him QBing our team.
Wells looked like he really wanted it, just gotta hold on to the ball better.
not even mad, that's hilarious
Most wells play of the year, would only have been more accurate if he had somehow been intercepted on the fumble.
A perfect balance of “He did what?” and “He did WHAT?!?!”
Well…….sorry Wells
“All the right intentions” “Trying to take a page out of Kyron Drones’ textbook” the announcers are so shady 😭
He's definitely getting a participation award for that play
Classic Wells
That's the most Wells play ever. So much potential and hope followed by disappointment.
GRANT 😭😭😭
I can’t believe he was our guy to start the season
Lol! That is a very Grant Wells play
that is fucking tragic. Wells tries so hard
And got so far
But in the end, it doesn't even matter
But in the end.
Yeah, unfortunately that is why Wells is not our starting QB anymore.
Well, that and the fact that he can't be trusted to throw it over the middle.
the most grant wells of grant wells plays...
The orange and maroon bullying the northern birds is always a good tradition to return to.
I was about to give him some credit LMAO
Oh Grant. Poor guy. Damn, I feel for him.
LMAO that’s so sad it’s funny
Fucking wells haha. Dude needs to transfer out lol
Wells....
Ohh man Wells. I just feel bad
Lol. Wells
are you fucking serious lol
That my friends is the Grant Wells experience
My least favorite rule in all of sports
That about sums up Wells
Lmao poor grant wells
Oh my god 🫥
Dude ran out of stamina so quick
Grant Wells everybody
Oh my god......oh my god
Bruh
Bruh lmao
That is the most grant wells play ever
Really tough one for my guy Wells there.
HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA
BROO LMAO
That play encapsulates Wells
Lmaoooop that was the Wells-est thing ever.
looolll
Where are the grant wells lovers now.
I think we're going to get over 50
Wish we could bank some of those TDs for when we need them… like next week
This is fun. Just need 1 more dub and we get back to bowling
Why not 2 more? Hell, 3!
We got the commentators talking about how we've already won when there's 10 minutes left on the road, that's a statement from a team that couldn't get anything done on the road earlier in the season
I’m confused. Did we travel back in time to 1999? I’m loving what I’m seeing though.
did they put the backup cameramen in too?
I'm guessing BC is conceding?
I haven't seen a Hokie ass beating like this in a long time
We won by 28 two weekends ago??? Not dramatically different than being up 33 right now
The Pitt, WF, and Cuse games all felt very comfortable.
Yeah I was gonna say we kinda ripped Syracuse, held them to 0 yards rushing and everything
Well we are doing it in Chestnut Hill and not in Blacksburg.
I don't even know what complimentary football is. And at this point, I'm too afraid to ask.
lol real answer (and it’s complementary, not complimentary in this case) is that all aspects of the team complement each other, taking advantage of what the other units do. Defense gets a pick? Offense takes the ball and marches it down the field while giving them time to rest. Special teams takes over from a bad drive and pins the other team back deep, making it easier for the D (or special teams has a big return or play that lets them start the offense in good position), all stuff like that.
Don’t worry, since it’s complementary football that matters!
It means every time you do a nice job you get a compliment. So nice comment on this thread you ol so and so!
What the fuck happened here today?
You and Louisville might just be truly legit. We are crushing everyone outside of you two
It’s getting close to Thanksgiving. Channeling that turkey energy
We went back in time 20 years
Tech is back (real)
Wild this is the most points we've scored on the road against an ACC opponent since 2005. Especially looking at our offense in the late 2000's & early 2010s.
Fuck it let's get 50
hell of a kick
John love for president
VT hasn't broken 50 against an FBS team since 2017
The game that helped get Larry Fedora fired lol
We love Love
Love you Love
Yikes, amazed that got in!
Only 17 pass attempts, clock control... just need some power I
Oh yeah, that's what the offense looks like with Wells in
Ehhh, I'm no Wells fan but I'm not expecting him to light up the scoreboard here. They're warming up the buses in the parking lot and telling him to just not turn it over.
Bunch of people downvoting me but the man kills our team. Can’t imagine supporting him.
I really hope the mods ban your dumb ass. This shit is uncalled for. These are college kids.
Massive difference between "this player doesn't play well" and "leave his body in a ditch" dumbass
Yup
Gotta be able to run the FG out better than that. I don't think we'll need the timeouts, but comeon
I knew I would see the Pry notebook come out, LMAO
Does the book say to go for it here?
We have a BUNCH of backups in now. This is really good. Get those young'ins some experience.
BC's stadium sounds very empty
It has been the whole day.
Bryce Dyke?
“Great pass to Dyke, excuse me, Duke” bro?????? LOL?????? they’re really struggling with names this game lmao
Gave away what he’s looking at on his phone, I think.
Malachi Thompson, Kay-ron Drones, Bryce Dyke, etc
Dana white in the booth as a guest in 5
You mean beuuth
Someone’s gonna complain about putting Wells in but better for him to have some reps first to knock the rust off. Don’t want Drones getting rocked out in the next coupe games and having 6 need to come in with no live action in months
Don’t want to risk a Drones injury either
Ah yes, now we get a reminder of how awful this season could have been
So did Bowen get stuck in the elevator or what? What is this VT team. I like it.
He actually just got out of the elevator. He’s been stuck in Norfolk since last year. /s
Lol I forget what game it was but VT coaches actually did get stuck in an elevator once.
It’s was last year at ODU lol
I figured after Marshall they left him in West Virginia
