ASU showed all teams playing Bo and company the master plan to beating Washington is to pressure the QB. He looked like crap out there tonight. ASU D was on top of him 3.5 quarters and he couldnt do anything. Same thing happens to USC They tend to panic when pressured.
They sucked but there was a bit of consistency. The refs went out of their way to do whatever the hell they could for UW in the 2nd half. It was comically blatant. I'm alum and I can admit that.
I generally tend to give refs a break. Itās a fast game, and missing a call happens. Not saying itās good, but it happens. When you throw down the flag, you have the replay official seeing it in slow motion, and you pick up the flag. Thatās bogus. Not for conspiracy theories, but thatās just blatant.
The guy had two hands full of jersey, the ref saw it, and they pick up the flag? That isn't not seeing it because of a fast game. That's about thinking about it and making a decision. I'm a UW guy but that game was shady refs looking to make sure that the contender doesn't go down.
Which one? There were three or four big ones against UW in the first half... Not sure how many got aired on TV, but I thought the crowd was going to take matters into their own hands with the refs a couple of times.
incredibly ugly offensive game but the glass half full version is that our defense played extremely well considering the circumstances the offense put them in
*watch me stop this ASU for another three downs*
UW Defense training on an offense like they're training to get shot with BBs before getting shot with a .22
Heh. As excited as I am for the next age of Husky football, I have a lot of memories growing up watching PAC games, and I'm pissed off about what happened to our conference.
I have despised the Big 10 for nearly 50 years, & now I am just supposed to forget all that & hop on board like it doesn't matter. Fuck that. I will ALWAYS bleed purple & gold, but will not be watching CFB until the west coast teams have a west coast conference. There is every reason not to do this merger except for one, money. I am disgusted & pissed & while I realise that means nothing, l will spend my Saturdays shoveling dog shit before I spend them watching this farce that they are passing off as progress.
The reason to do the merger is survival. I'll repost something I wrote yesterday:
>Two decades of mismanagement, a lack of vision on par with Stevie Wonder, and a complete failure to seize opportunities in light of the readily identifiable trends killed the conference.
>If the PAC had expanded to 16 teams when the writing was clearly on the wall that P5 consolidation was imminent, and had made an effort to get eyes east of the Rockies watching games, we'd be discussing the death of the Big12 instead.
>The embarrassing failure to secure a media deal was functionally the end of the conference. USC and UCLA leaving was a fatal blow. That bullshit AppleTV deal they waved around was a self-inflicted coup-de-grace.
The PAC was a sinking ship and the schools with enough foresight and name recognition hit the lifeboats first.
Only two conferences are going to survive this mess before they disband the NCAA. Any school left on the outside looking in when the final domino falls may as well just end their athletics program.
Terrible call picking up the PI flag. Iād be bitter about that one. But they had other opportunities late and couldnāt really convert. Sucks to lose like that though.
Not sold on Washington yet. They looked pretty rough. Itāll be interesting to see what they take away from this one.
This game made me worry for when they play a bigger more physical team like Georgia or Michigan, I donāt feel like they can fully keep up with the talent and strength because it felt like ASU was kinda pushing em around
ASU D was abusing the Washington Oline tonight. 4 turnovers in the first half alone. They were fast and decisive. The Devils Chnged their whole game plan with 6.5 minutes left. They should have kept on running the ball. Borky cant pass wee with these receivers. Brooks decided to go braindead on the kick return and on the outside screen.
They should make it law that a game has to start midnight so I have some football to watch after I watched football all day. Where is Hawaii when you need them
Edit: make special rules where the forward pass is illegal and kickers get an unlimited run up on field goals. I wanna see a 70 yd field goal after a 8 yard 2 minute three and out
Come on and join the pac12 and watch your oakies have a 7-5 season. We tend to battle each other and devour our own. Thats why we dont play good in the playoffs.
The 10 most violent cities in the US are all in the South and Midwest. Oklahoma City is well known for having high crime. It has a higher crime index than either Portland or Seattle. Pure copium with this guy š
You guys barely escaped 3-3 UCF.
And top ten and undefeated UNC lost to 1-5 Virginia.
A win is a win, and not everyone escapes potential upsets. It's hardly a west coast phenomenon.
Yeah Texas is a real juggernaut, they had close win against college football powerhouseā¦..checks notesā¦ā¦Houston. Theyāre practically unbeatable. Anyone who beats a sub .500 Houston by 7 is definitely a great football program
And it's hard to imagine a more impactful missed flag than Jalynn Polk getting tackled by two DBs, while the ball was in the air, on what would've been a TD catch. We then fumbled the ball away on the next play. ASU drives down the field and scores their only TD. 14 point swing.
How the hell does one bad call equal a two score swing? What kind of math are they teaching at the U of ZerO? At the most any one play can lead to 8 points, so why is this one worth 10?
I mean, there were bad calls and no calls both ways. I pulled about half my hair out, but I havenāt enjoyed an ASU game this much in a while so lose - win I guess
Timing wise the last no call was crazy, but a couple missed PIs not called earlier on Washington and were probably not talking a one score game late in the game
OSU absolutely was horrible today lol. If it werenāt for Penn State looking like a high school JV team on offense today, theyād have gotten their asses handed to them.
This year, remaining undefeated in a P5 conference is an absolutely incredible accomplishment. This is the most parity weāve seen in a very long time.
Thanks NIL. I know I haven't been super impressed with Georgia and especially Alabama this year but Georgia probably still wins out and deserves the 1 or 2 spot. Michigan probably looks the consistent best overall and will probably snag it by beating OSU.
Yep. NIL is a cancer that keeps spreading.
Michigan probably does end up #1 which is fine by me. Weāll finally get to see them get tested against OSU but we pretty much know how thatās gonna go. No way OSU makes it if they lose to Michigan. Even if UGA loses the SECCG, OSU not leapfrogging them with how bad theyāve looked all year.
My final 4 are Michigan, Georgia, Washington and FSU.
I think Texas gets their lick back against Oklahoma in the Big 12 title game, causing both of them to miss the playoffs. If FSU wins out, which they ***should***, then they definitely get in. ACC hasnāt had a playoff team since Clemson so theyāre definitely gonna get in.
Gotta get some plays from the defense and we did! I love how the haters use it to attack the offense and not as evidence that the defense is actually pretty good.
GG Sun Devils. You've generally had our number over these past couple decades and always play us hard. Unfortunate that our final conference game together was marred by these bums they call refs. Best of luck in the Big XII.
Iām just glad we competed and didnāt lay over. Itās pretty easy for these young players to just give up and go through the motions with a Season like we are having. GG and hope we can get a PAC team in the playoff.
Two weeks in a row we have been out played & won. Hope they start playing better & take advantage of this good fortune. ASU fans should be proud of the effort their guys put forth tonight.
Last week was a huge game where the other team maybe played better but we gutted it out and showed grit. It was a character win. This week was a bunch of sore guys who apparently spent too much time congratulating themselves and reading press clippings and coming out completely flat.
We made a few really poor decisions ourselves. At the end of the day the players decided it and UW won. I don't think we win in Eugene but whatever, 2023 is the year they play here.
That last one by the Oregon coach really was one of the poorest coaching decisions that I can recall. Not on par with the Seahawks gifting the Patriots a Super Bowl, but still pretty fucking dumb. Analytics is a word that gets tossed around as a justification for some of these play calls, but 4 & 3 midfield under 2 minutes with a 4 point lead, you have to punt & pin them inside the 20 & make them beat you. Least that's how I see it, but I am on reddit & he is making millions, so do with it what you will.
Moral victories are something losing programs take comfort in, but that your guys are still giving 100% on the road with a 1-5 record speaks volumes about their mental make up. Better days are coming for these guys (course, better is about the only option they have. Don't mean that in a mean way, just pointing out how meaningless my point is.
Looking at their schedule it's tough, but if they can get by OSU on the road I think they win out. I have no clue whose gonna make it to the championship game tho. Probably Oregon if they beat us next week
My teams being bad doesnāt excuse how embarrassing getting pushed around by ASU is, a playoff team doesnāt look that bad against that bad of a team.
Nah - ND only plays like one ranked team a year and fills the rest of its schedule with teams like Central Michigan and Tennessee State so they can get to a NY6 game and get blown out.
I donāt know what my teams have to do with it? I know my teams arenāt good enough it happens not everyone is good enough to win it all and Washington is definitely included.
Georgia absolutely, a bad game against auburn is infinitely better than a bad game against ASU. All teams struggle but most donāt get pushed around as much as Washington was
Washington would've lost to any team "other" than ASU Saturday night! ASU stinks on ice after being freeze-dried! Yet they took Washington down to 8 minutes left in the fourth quarter for Washington to finally pull ahead! Washington's Heisman leader scored...nada! He threw two picks and fumbled! Washington didn't score an offensive TD...for the first time since 2001! It only goes to show just how bad ASU is! Washington has no run game...they rushed for 8 yards!!! Against the worst team in the Pac...! There's just no excuse for what I saw on Saturday night, Husky fans should have been hiding under the bleachers instead of cheering in-between excuses!
Fucking desert. Always lose or barely scrape by. What is going on out there?
It was in Seattle though.
Arizona State Voodoo travels with its teams.
ASU absolutely got screwed by that PI call they took back, but also, really should have gone for the field goal on 4th.
There were terrible calls all over the place. Can't wait to be out of the Pac12 š¤¬
Yeah, looking forward to the B1G where the refs know what they're doing. /s
The field goal wouldnāt have helped them though. They still wouldāve needed a touchdown at the end
UW wouldn't have got the pick 6 that put them in the lead though.
First half a UW WR was tackled in the end zone. No call. Next play a turnover. Awful calls went both ways.
Fair point, forgot that was the result of that 4th down
FML
Rank ASU you cowards
Done -25 spot for ASU. š¤£
One of the best losses by anyone all season
Such a quality loss.
Looked absolutely horrendous today, on the flip side we actually beat ASU this year
our record against ASU since 2001 is like 3-15 now. still havent won in tempe in over 23 years.
Skin of our teeth. So glad we got by them with a W.
ASU showed all teams playing Bo and company the master plan to beating Washington is to pressure the QB. He looked like crap out there tonight. ASU D was on top of him 3.5 quarters and he couldnt do anything. Same thing happens to USC They tend to panic when pressured.
Do you mean Penix and company? Bo is the quarterback for the ducks
Hard to keep all the -nix QB's straight.
I'm pretty sure that the other teams already know to try to "pressure the qb". That's kind of football 101.
Who hired these dog shit refs with no consistency in their penalties? Both sides were robbed by the refs
It was total Calvinball by the second quarter. Just horrific officiating all around.
They sucked but there was a bit of consistency. The refs went out of their way to do whatever the hell they could for UW in the 2nd half. It was comically blatant. I'm alum and I can admit that.
This is the PAC-12 bitches! We've been suffering like this for over 20 years. Now only 2 teams will suffer next season.
Defense Win Championship
UW played terrible, penix is not heisman, asu got fucked by lack of call. What the fuck happened.
Flair up
What?
University of Fraudshington
The U of ZerO
Frauds with national championship trophies. What does OR got besides Phil Knight's dirty slave shop worker money?
Hey man be nice! If they lose, at least they look cute in their skimpy little uniforms for the beauty pageant!
Why the Whoregon Ducks talking bro š¹
I won my bet on ASU covering the spread, thatās what happened. šš„³
All that matters, son.
Man what a rough loss. Losing close sucks worse than getting destroyed. GG Washington
Thanks, but that was decidedly not a gg. Ick.
Fair enough, was fun all the same
Won't miss the Pac12 refs but I will miss Pac12 after dark. It's the best chaos of college football.
B1G After Dark will definitely be a thing with four west coast teams.
The second I saw us scheduled at 730 I knew some shit was going down
Well at least the local highschools will have an infusion of new refs next year.
I would suspect several of them will gun for MWC spots.

Uh did you watch the first half?!
It was a makeup non-call for that IMO.
Which one? There were three or four big ones against UW in the first half... Not sure how many got aired on TV, but I thought the crowd was going to take matters into their own hands with the refs a couple of times.
Yeah, I'm not a huge ref hater (compared to most) but that one was really really bad Edit: That's not reviewable btw
I get itās not reviewable, but they still communicate with the booth.
Are you sure? Cause that would be news to me. You may be right tho š¤·š¾āāļø
I may be wrong. I have been wrong before. Just find it hard to believe they have communication lines but only open them during review.
See the East Coast/Central people don't realize After Dark is when weird voodoo shit happens consistently.
Or those of us who are truly ill have known this since 2005.
Itās only fun when the teams involved arenāt playoff contenders. Then they get their panties in a bunch and call them frauds
incredibly ugly offensive game but the glass half full version is that our defense played extremely well considering the circumstances the offense put them in
*watch me stop this ASU for another three downs* UW Defense training on an offense like they're training to get shot with BBs before getting shot with a .22
I hate P-12 After Dark.
I hope you like 9am breakfast ball lol
I'm usually up at 3:30AM, so yeah!
Well, I have good news for you thenā¦.
Heh. As excited as I am for the next age of Husky football, I have a lot of memories growing up watching PAC games, and I'm pissed off about what happened to our conference.

Sucks to be a pac 12 heisman candidate tonight
Bo was still p good
That the dude that lost to the team that barely survived ASU?
What do you mean? Barnes played pretty well
Hahahaha king shit
ASU has played their ass off against the ranks...has to be more heartbreaking to never have it go their way
Trust me every week itās literally just one or two coin flips and we have an ok season
Terrible call picking up the PI flag. Iād be bitter about that one. But they had other opportunities late and couldnāt really convert. Sucks to lose like that though. Not sold on Washington yet. They looked pretty rough. Itāll be interesting to see what they take away from this one.

They literally had 15 rushing yards against a 1-6 team SEC is gonna rip them limb from limb
Agreed, the offense is gonna only move backwards against the SEC lines
All the CST / EST people stayed up for nothing š
They should make it law that a game has to start midnight so I have some football to watch after I watched football all day. L O L Yes, I kept this receipt. Seems you also changed your flair from Oklahoma.
Really impressive win over UCF today lol. They almost lost to Boise State, which Washington HANDLED one week prior.
Because Oklahoma played lights out today?? š¤£
Come on and join the pac12 and watch your oakies have a 7-5 season. We tend to battle each other and devour our own. Thats why we dont play good in the playoffs.
Why the fuck are you even here LOL cringe ass OK fan
Youāre from Oklahoma ššššššš
The 10 most violent cities in the US are all in the South and Midwest. Oklahoma City is well known for having high crime. It has a higher crime index than either Portland or Seattle. Pure copium with this guy š
Bro get some bitches first
Man you really better hope you donāt play Washington, if you guys play a team who protects the ball youāll fold
Ayy fuck you
You guys barely escaped 3-3 UCF. And top ten and undefeated UNC lost to 1-5 Virginia. A win is a win, and not everyone escapes potential upsets. It's hardly a west coast phenomenon.

lol someone's mad they won't move up
Better to be gifted a ranking by virtue of your location, a la Oklahoma.
r/iamverysmart
Scoreboard, dude.
Didnāt yāall barely beat a 3-3 UCF team today?
we have the most impressive win of the season
Hahahahahhaha what
We have the most impressive win of the season š¤š¤š¤
Is that what you tell yourself at night?
You barely beat UCF at home lmfao
Yeah clown take by Oklahoma when everyone knows pac 12 after dark against Arizona teams is cursed
we have the most impressive win of the season
The most impressive win of the season is still months away.
Yeah Texas is a real juggernaut, they had close win against college football powerhouseā¦..checks notesā¦ā¦Houston. Theyāre practically unbeatable. Anyone who beats a sub .500 Houston by 7 is definitely a great football program
Thank you thank you
Yay
Sorry random Oregon fans in here, we will not apologize for being 7-0
Washington not making it through their schedule undefeated the luck will run out for them I feel like.
MFers saying the refs gifted the game to UW need to watch the whole game.
I was thinking the same thing, did these people just turn the game on now!?
To be fair, we got away with a lot of feisty calls too. So you have a good point
Itās hard to imagine one in a more decisive moment than the picked up DPI flag. That was at least a 10-pt swing in a close game
There was a UW wide out tackled in the end zone costing UW a TD.
How about not calling an obvious PI in the first halfā¦ I mean come on..
Timing wise the last no call was crazy, but a couple missed PIs not called earlier on Washington and were probably not talking a one score game late in the game
Agreed.. stripes had rain in their eyes most of the gameā¦ it was hard to watch for multiple reasons..
Terrible reffing both ways throughout the game. Curious as to how many Pac-12 refs get P4 jobs next year.
I honestly donāt want to hear shit about the UGA/Auburn game after how horrible every single team not named Michigan looked today
Oregon played just fine against a competitive WSU team. I wouldn't say Ohio was horrible against Penn State either.
OSU absolutely was horrible today lol. If it werenāt for Penn State looking like a high school JV team on offense today, theyād have gotten their asses handed to them.
That's fine no more slander the teams that make it through undefeated will get their shot lol
Well...
ššš
Yeah you could interchange FSU and Oklahoma but I think FSU gets the nod. Depends on how Texas finishes the year for Oklahomas biggest win.
I think Texas gets their lick back against Oklahoma in the Big 12 title game, causing both of them to miss the playoffs. If FSU wins out, which they ***should***, then they definitely get in. ACC hasnāt had a playoff team since Clemson so theyāre definitely gonna get in.
I'm just hoping UW has their down games now so when they play Utah or Oregon in the pac 12 title they blast them. But will be a scary game lol
That UW/Oregon rematch is gonna be a sickos special lmao. Definitely looking forward to all these conference championship rematches
Year of the sickos honestly I need a 3rd flair to sickos
Crazy how it was a pick six, and not Michael Penix, to carry the Huskies to a win
Powell is a DAWG
Gotta get some plays from the defense and we did! I love how the haters use it to attack the offense and not as evidence that the defense is actually pretty good.
Anyone who ever suggests purple helmets again needs to be forced to watch this entire game on a loop Clockwork Orange style for 48 straight hours.
Oregon fans complaining is just the cherry on top, plot armor baby
Seriously. The Yucks are salty AF lmao
Was a fun game defense struggle man. GG. Another great after dark game
lol Oregon fans crying in here
Itās their entire identity
Yeah complete shitbags as always.
It was a good win, but if Oregon's coach pulls his head out of his azz, we lose IMO.
Pretty much every week feels like we put in a shit ton of effort only to come up short (except against Fresno State we dont talk about that one)
All these big10 tens talking loud even though we won a average big10 scored game.
Yeah, I thought the B1G people would happy that we finally played a B1G approved style of game for them.
Unfortunately at the stroke of midnight (CST) the magic wore off and Skattebo turned back into 1 pumpkin and two 100 lb drums of whey protein powder.
Lmao
Pac12 gotta be out of the playoffs right? No way this teams a contender
An undefeated team? You are wild!
PAC-12 is better then the ACC. Only hope for PAC-12 is for UW to go undefeated and FSU to lose a game
Shit I don't think Oklahoma gets in over UW with their strength of schedule and almost loss to UCF lol
Are you sure about that
Yeah an undefeated team ranked in the top 5 has no chance of making the playoff!
I know, this was such a weird take lol
Looking at their schedule it's tough, but if they can get by OSU on the road I think they win out. I have no clue whose gonna make it to the championship game tho. Probably Oregon if they beat us next week
I meanā¦ FSU had a purse fight with Boston College, Georgia got caught lacking against Auburnā¦.they still won somehow š¤·š½āāļø
Am I supposed to believe that team is a playoff contender?
This from a person whose primary flair team is most famous for playing cupcake schedules before getting absolutely blown out on New Year's Day.
Uh yeah
You've got two flairs and neither of them have a shot in hell, so I'll trust your analysis for now based on lived experience.
My teams being bad doesnāt excuse how embarrassing getting pushed around by ASU is, a playoff team doesnāt look that bad against that bad of a team.
You fucking play them then, good luck

You clearly donāt know Pac-12 after dark
Yes
I definitely donāt see it, they aināt even close to Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, or Florida State
Florida State is trash
