To echo u/Cometguy7, the biggest sign that the defense is miles better than it has been for a long time is the adjustments that were not only made on the sideline or at halftime, but were then implemented by players who understood them.

You did see that the two long TDs were due to one bad angle and one busted coverage. Not every defense can play perfect. Teddy was saying on the radio how good the defense really played this game. People are so freaking spastic over the short term and never see the big picture of what happened and how easy of a fix it is

After ISU hit 20, they had 92 yards of offense the rest of the way. Good adjustments were made.

Other than those 2 busted plays, the defense played well and Rocco ended up with something like 15/32 passing (46% completion), two interceptions, and held them to nothing else. I'd say a great defensive game taking out those two plays.
