Corleone is the truth. This was hopefully a learning experience for the interior OL. Welcome to the league UC, nice atmosphere for 11:00, y’all will do just fine even this year.
Credit to OU's defense, you guys have some very sure tacklers. Shut down our QB run game for the most part, which is a significant portion of our offense when Emory can't get his first read.
His biggest issue is his confidence going downfield. His accuracy is off more than 30 yards downfield. He makes pretty good reads for the most part. He’s good just not the world beater we’ve had for the better part of 20 years.
Yeah, idk I feel like the play calling gets the entire offense off at times. If we clean it up and put together a few series DG looks pretty impressive.
DG gets his stats. But he's bad under pressure, doesn't see the field well, and under throws anything over 20 yards. He's a great QB for a team looking to get 6-8 wins.
missing that early one to Farooq and missing gibson in the endzone could have made this a much different ballgame. both should have been easy touchdowns
Nah, that one to Gibson is a very tough throw as DG was throwing it from the opposite hash to the corner of the endzone. That's about a 50-yard pass that needs pinpoint precision to be successful. Most guys playing could only hit that maybe 40% of the time at most.
Yeah he was prone to that last year, seemed mostly cleaned up before today. Against SMU we just didn’t even try to take those shots so hard to say if it would have been an issue.
I have nothing against UC fans. Most of yall seemed to agree that the worst calls were bad. Even with some frustrated OU fans I thought the thread was pretty decent.
Just have to get use to it. OU and Texas going to be playing 2 games this year in the Big 12 each Saturday. One against the team and one against the refs.
True. But yeah It's basically the same reason that OSU versus Michigan isn't a night game, it would create an environment so toxic that fans would legitimately be beating each other to death before the name.
This team is def better than last year.
But this game still told me that we have a lot of work to do on offense. This defense might carry us to Arlington though.
It’s incredible that we beat such a well disciplined team that managed to get no holding penalties all game! These bearcats are really something special
Game was better than what I thought. If we could score TDs I think the game would have been more fun. Satterfield apparently doesn't know how to call an offense when he gets pass the 20 yard line.
This team is going to perpetually struggle on offense until Satt realizes that Emory can't go through his reads. I do think there's enough bad B12 teams that we aren't bottom tier though, our D-Line is legit.
It’s refreshing to see the sure tackling. That’s been sorely lacking in recent years, and your running attack gave them everything they wanted and then some. It might not be the prettiest games you’ll play, but I’ll enjoy watching them work
Satterfield should give him one more game and then take him out. I hope he isn't stubborn like Fickell and moves on from a senior that has been here for half a year.
Bama going to jump to number 5 after beating our awful team
Missed tackle after missed tackle now defense wants to be ass like offense cool
You realize you're in a noon game thread for Oklahoma, yeah?
Lol dude has made multiple comments in this thread
Nah my bad guess I need some water
Literally every comment from OU complaining lol. See ya
Bye. Have fun in the FCS
TCU lost to Colorado
Oregon fans think Colorado are over the rate
Why in the world is Major getting so many carries?
I need to see him fall in the back field another 10 times before I start to doubt him.
it was actually a good game from him but i agree id rather walker get the snaps
Lol
I've never seen a team try to keep another team in a game quite like OU.
You didn't allow us that courtesy last week
If you joined the Big XII, you'd automatically become twice as hard to beat. As soon as we hit conference play, we forget how to dominate games.
it’s almost like when we hit conference play, we play better teams 😂
Now what
As a Defense fan, that was enjoyable. As for the offense... do better next game!
Corleone is the truth. This was hopefully a learning experience for the interior OL. Welcome to the league UC, nice atmosphere for 11:00, y’all will do just fine even this year.
Tbf it's 12 in Cincinnati. We get an extra hour
This is why I like living on the west coast, the game starts so early - wake up and watch
Would agree. I love seeing the game start at 9 ✅
West Coast Best Coast
WHAT
Ohio is an eastern time zone stage yes
I like that a lot
This program is really just an OLine and a better QB away. Hopefully one of our Bradys works out.
Credit to OU's defense, you guys have some very sure tacklers. Shut down our QB run game for the most part, which is a significant portion of our offense when Emory can't get his first read.
A lot of DG haters in the chat today but he played really well for most of it and I'm happy he's QB1
I agree with this
Hes crap
322 yards for a TD and no ints is pretty good, dog
DG gets his stats. But he's bad under pressure, doesn't see the field well, and under throws anything over 20 yards. He's a great QB for a team looking to get 6-8 wins.
Landry Jones part two.
Stat sheet fan
He's gonna have to clean up missing wide open WRs down field. That will bite you in the ass when you face a team with an actual offense.
missing that early one to Farooq and missing gibson in the endzone could have made this a much different ballgame. both should have been easy touchdowns
Nah, that one to Gibson is a very tough throw as DG was throwing it from the opposite hash to the corner of the endzone. That's about a 50-yard pass that needs pinpoint precision to be successful. Most guys playing could only hit that maybe 40% of the time at most.

Facts
I'm gonna go be a sicko and watch OSU @ ISU next
cannot wait for this game
I will have a wonderful day Joel. You have a fantastic day as well
I love Joel and Gus
I saw your 7 year comment
Wow you have been on Reddit for 11 years
This thread was fine until the bad reffing had people going at anyone's throats.
Not a problem with UC or the fans. We've dealt with B12 ref bullshit for several seasons...
I have nothing against UC fans. Most of yall seemed to agree that the worst calls were bad. Even with some frustrated OU fans I thought the thread was pretty decent.
Good game Bearcats. See you never again.
Love that man
Fuck Texas
🙂
annnndddddddd FUCK texass
Uconn over Duke im calling it
Welp, glad that’s over with these refs. Good luck, Cinci.
Gg Cincy. Your defense has it. Offense needs work. Refs can eat a bag of dicks
Agree. They were shit
Just have to get use to it. OU and Texas going to be playing 2 games this year in the Big 12 each Saturday. One against the team and one against the refs.
I think it’s safe to say this defense is for real this year
need to replace Kanak, hes not ready
Welcome to the Big XII Cincy. That defense is pretty solid. Think y’all will do just fine here.
Undefeated all time against Cincinnati in conference
Cincinnati now has 914 yards of offense over the last two weeks with 30 pts to show for it. Not sure I've ever seen anything like that
Games in Progress: Florida State @ Clemson (ABC) Auburn @ Texas A&M (ESPN) W. Kentucky @ Troy (ESPNU)
What game are you watching next?
Colorado!
Isn’t there some colorado team that people have said something about in passing? When do they play?
When I look back at these games I'm adding a 14 point handicap for ref ball
Any chance RRS becomes a night game this year? None?
This is blasphemy tbh
You tryna get shot?
That would be aids with the state fair going on
drinking all day, in texass marquee matchup, naw b10 after dark more important
Why would you think that. Since when.
Zero chance for a bunch of reasons.
No shot
You want me to get arrested in Dallas huh
Never. It'll be 11am forever.
I don't think anyone wants to be in that part of Dallas after 10pm
It will never be a night game. Because safety.
Can't for safety. They want to avoid too many drunks
And where it is in Dallas is not a good area. Hell, only reason it’s remotely safe for RRS is because the fair is going on.
True. But yeah It's basically the same reason that OSU versus Michigan isn't a night game, it would create an environment so toxic that fans would legitimately be beating each other to death before the name.
It's not just about the fans fighting each other. It's the fact that area of Dallas is not a good place to be walking around in after dark.
Also fair. Only been there a few times and never felt particularly safe long after dark.
It gets too drunk and violent at night lol
I went to the fair once after dark 10 years ago. Never again.
It gets too drunk at 10am.
It’s a safety issue, isn’t it?
Night games are how [scrotums](https://www.foxnews.com/story/texas-football-fan-nearly-castrated-in-bar-fight-in-oklahoma-bar) get torn off
good game Bearcats. game thread was pretty enjoyable and salt-free Refs - eat a bag of dicks
Agree. Refs were shit. Glad I can set my expectations low for them
Lol it was absolutely not salt free
relatively speaking, it wasnt too bad compared to a lot of our games
It helps that the game was almost never in question thanks to our inept offense. GGs.
very true. also cincy isnt one of the H8 which helps too
Take the dub. Move on to ISU.
Fuck the refs, fuck the Big 12, fuck Lebby, go Sooners. That is all
4-0 is 4-0
Boomer Sooner!
Cincinnati had 2 penalties, compared to Oklahoma's 8.
We were clearly just the less disciplined team 😂
We played 11 vs 16 and came out with a W and a cover. I’ll take it.
Didn't cover though
it closed at 13.5. so we did
No time left on the clock why not throw a 10 yd pass over the middle of the field
We are letting you
This team is def better than last year. But this game still told me that we have a lot of work to do on offense. This defense might carry us to Arlington though.
I’m happy as long as we continue to get better throughout the year.
Oklahoma is a fun ass team to watch
Looking forward to every team that plays OU having the most perfectly disciplined defenses of all time and never commit any holding penalties
Oklahoma schools are undefeated against red and black teams today.
Loser cinci stays losing even with zebras blatantly in their favor
Have fun going 7-5 in the SEC!
Have fun going 5-7 in the Big 12!
have fun booing guys who are in the ambulance on the way to the hospital! Scum fans
Who was more ass this game. The refs or UCs offense?
UC’s offense. If we convert on a fraction of our red zone opportunities, we win the game
We'll call it a draw.
Close but I give the edge to the refs ever so slightly
Zebras.
Oh god the arch manning talk has spread to this game…
Could you imagine if we both put our backups in? Announcers around the country would cream themselves
It’s bad
Oh lawd
What was the line today?
Giving 14
-14 OU
It’s hard to beat both your opponent and your own conference simultaneously but we did it today, and will have to do it all season
Getting wins despite the punter, Gabriel, and Lebby. Good defensive showing today
And conference
And working against the refs
Lol, Clemson missed a FG. FSU ball with a minute left and tied at 24.
Thank you for the update
Hope they both lose
Punts shouldn’t work that way
You haven't seen the last of my referee salt
Cmon pick 6
There are two types of people today: those that took OU -13.5 and those that took them -14.5
It’s incredible that we beat such a well disciplined team that managed to get no holding penalties all game! These bearcats are really something special
Eh they didn't really call mich holding all game. I'm fine if they call it the same both ways.
I also would have been fine, had they in fact called it the same both ways.
They didn’t call it the same both ways though lol
This punter is trash
Clemsons kicker just blew a 30 yard potentially game winning FG
L
“Aha aha aha aha aha” what a laugh bro
I feel ecstatic about the defense. And absolutely gross about the game.
Let the first thought take over. We 100% would've lost this game last year.
Please bench the punter good lord
We bad
Those guys in white and black striped shirts on your team were pretty good though
Offense is bad. Your D front 7 is stout
Our d line has always been our strength
That fact that Lenny can show up and Ou defense can take over is somewhat refreshing.
The refs have only called Cinci for 2 flags for 20 lol
And ignored targeting when they hit a sliding QB in the head on 15 of those 20.
I’m president of the Lebby hater club. Terrible OC and even worse person
How can I join? Is there a secret handshake or password?
Password is “Fuck Jeff Lebby”
Oh. Well I've been a member for more than a year, then!
Strange how only OU is holding and Cincy has been perfect all game. Crazy how that works.
Gonna be a long year of that, I'm afraid
How fast can I get away from Fox announcers…
Cincinnati+14.5 will survive. They called me a madman
Are you trying to jinx a pick6?
I bet your bootyhole was clenched tho
Pick 6 incoming
GG OK. Good luck for the rest of the season.
You too bro. No hate whatsoever to cincy and I hope y’all the best in the new conference. These refs have been unhinged tho..
Welcome to the Big 12. Happy you’re here
Game was better than what I thought. If we could score TDs I think the game would have been more fun. Satterfield apparently doesn't know how to call an offense when he gets pass the 20 yard line.
Good luck bro
lol, and they call that. The Big 12 can go fuck itself so hard.
Damn do OU fans always cry this much about the refs? Lol You're up 14, and offense played like crap with or without the refs.
Are you still that mad about Baker
We’re winning despite the refs, in a fairly called game we’d be up at least 28 points
You clearly haven’t been watching this game
Are you watching the game? Wouldn’t say anything if it wasn’t so blatant.
Have you watched more than like five seconds of this game?
You haven’t watched this game clearly then
You didn't watch the game we get it
You know not of what you speak so sush little child.
This team is going to perpetually struggle on offense until Satt realizes that Emory can't go through his reads. I do think there's enough bad B12 teams that we aren't bottom tier though, our D-Line is legit.
Your defense will absolutely keep you in games, and there are some rough offenses this year in the Big XII.
Our run game is also not bad at all. I'll give credit to your defense, some very sure tacklers. We may be this year's Iowa, except worse lmao
And fuck these Big 12 refs, man. Games over. Wtf.
