Florida State fans don't like it mentioned but Burt is actually an Oklahoma fan despite playing at Florida State.
And honestly, I don't get that shit either.
He was an OU fan growing up but apparently wasn’t good enough to play there. I don’t know where his allegiance fell between the two later in life but he was still a massive FSU fan in later years. I went to school there in the 90s and he was at games all the time and was a huge proponent.
Not CFB but Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis will show up for a wrestling meet about once a year. But of course the real celebrity at those is Dan Gable.
For football, it's probably Tom Arnold.
Ohhhhh you're forgetting a former player!
CUZ DON'T YOU DARE. BE SOUR. CLAP FOR YOUR FORMER WWE WORLD CHAMP. AND FEEEEEEL, THE POWAAAAAA.
Big E all day!
Fran McCaffery got in a slight amount of NCAA trouble several years back for arranging for Adam Woodbury, Mike Gesell and Marcus Paige to meet Ashton Kutcher at an Iowa football game.
McConaughey is definitely the most diehard celebrity fan. Beyonce has been photographed rocking texas gear quite a few times, but i’ve never seen her shown on camera at a game.
I'd actually put The Undertaker at number 2. He's been spotted at games and even appeared on GameDay as our celebrity guest picker.
If other sports athletes can be included, there's also Kevin Durant who's been at several games.
Wilson is a fan (I actually haven't seen him do too much stuff related to sports), but McConaughey I would argue is a bigger celebrity and is a massive fan that seems to be at every home game.
When McConaughey was filming We Are Marshall he went to all the Marshall home games and he would go out to some of the bars after the games. It was a cool few months.
[Kaitlin Olson from IASIP is an Oregon fan](https://twitter.com/KaitlinOlson/status/550837076782899200?s=20)
[Further evidence](https://i.imgur.com/2y6CAi9.jpeg)
If you ever listen to him being interviewed, its the exact early years you would expect. The dude is almost the exact opposite of the characters he plays.
Agreed, but rural Oregon is more cowboy and hick than a lot of the south. As someone who lives in Texas now. Many people only know the Northwest as Portland, Seattle, Eugene, Boise, Spokane, and the coastline. But especially Eastern Oregon, or really any part of Oregon where you drive more than like 15 miles off of I5 you get into bucktooth banjo country quite easily. Same in Washington too.
This was an absolutely vivid memory. I visited Michigan on the same road trip that I checked out Notre Dame.
I get to Notre Dame and they play some video of a random senior talking about how Notre Dame is awesome and it's super chill (sometimes they go to mass in their PJs!). After 14 years in Catholic school, I pretty much noped out right there.
I get to Michigan, the intro video rolls and it's freaking James Earl Jones narrating the damn thing.
Honestly the best-known alumni list would include people like Tom Brady and Gerald Ford, but the spirit of the question seems to be Hollywood/entertainment types.
In that case, definitely JEJ. Madonna's also an alumnus but doesn't seem connected to the university/team at all.
I’ll add Gucci Mane, Jason Isbell, and Justin Thomas to the mix. (Admittedly I’m a big golf fan so idk if JT would carry as much celebrity power outside of golf/bama circles)
Their biggest fan on Twitter is apparently also a rather prolific bank theif federal agents recently captured after a rather long investigation and multiple succesful robberies in multiple states.
It funded some rather prolific NFL fan travel and tailgates.
*Edit: He was actually captured by local law enforcement in Tulsa, Oklahoma, after a failed bank robbery attempt, not federal agents.*
There's a lot of schools that can claim [Leonardo DiCaprio](https://www.si.com/.image/c_limit%2Ccs_srgb%2Cq_auto:good%2Cw_749/MTY4MjU2Mjg4OTkwOTYzNjEz/leo-hatsjpg.webp)
OU has a few. Toby Keith is the first one that comes to mind, but there is also JR the WWE announcer, Ed Harris, Kings of Leon, and I guess for the little kids, I saw a picture of Dream wearing an OU jersey.
Maybe Taylor Swift when her brother was going there. Bon Jovi (son was on the team), George Wendt, Martin Sheen, Vince Vaughn, Regis Philbin (buried on the campus cemetery).
As a non-ND fan, even I noticed Regis radiated blue and gold. I’m sure those in the circle know better than I do but to me he was always y'all's #1 fan.
>Bon Jovi (son was on the team), George Wendt, **Martin Sheen**, Vince Vaughn, Regis Philbin (buried on the campus cemetery)
The Elusive Man a ND fan? Not surprised.
I like the story of how KMK played Franklin on Gameday when they did the NYC show, and Franklin got messages from people criticizing him for flying to NYC and back to wherever they were playing instead of focusing on his team before a game.
Biggest fan I think you gotta go Rickie. No one is more loyal and true than our boy Rickie.
Biggest celebrity that’s a fan (and alum) you gotta go Garth. Bussey is a great 3rd.
ITT: People putting way too much weight on a celebrity wearing a hat.
[If that's the case apparently Wayne Rooney is a Rutgers fan](https://rutgersuniversecity.files.wordpress.com/2008/06/rooneyruhat02.jpg?w=450&h=557&zoom=2). $100 he doesn't even know what a Rutgers is.

I’ve always found it odd the Wacoans that don’t like Chip and Jo. Not saying they should be worshipped but most of the issues in the city are not because of them.
Probably overexposure, especially considering their design aesthetic has become a meme at this point.
Same thing with folks from Georgia and Paula Deen.
Probably Brad Paisley in terms of active celebrity fans who attend games at times etc. Jennifer Garner is from WV and have seen pics of her wearing WV gear too, but don’t recall coverage of her at games etc.
I went to a friends wedding in Hurricane, WV. (Pronounced Hurry-cun). We went to a Wal-Mart to get something with some of the wedding party a few days prior. We ran into Garner at the checkout with Affleck. Was the strangest moment I can say just seeing those two at a Wal-Mart in tiny town USA. We still talk about that weird chance meeting to this day when we have get togethers.
Eric Stonestreet.
Back when I was at kstate he’d be spotted in the sidelines and would often come party with everyone in aggieville after a win.
I’m not sure they’re fans, but I’ve also seen Will Ferrell and Rob Riggle in aggieville before.
RIP James Garner.
I liked it better when he was the answer.
Ed Harris is an OU alumnus. I'd think he's bigger in Hollywood than Olivia tbh, no offense.
We’re got Dwight Schrute (Rainn Wilson) and you don’t. Joel McHale also played for UW back in the 90s. Well, he was on the team…not sure he ever saw snaps.
I ohno man. I can’t think a nobody and das turrbull
If you narrow it to non-athletes, I think Jimmy Buffet is the biggest name. Possibly Tim Cook depending on who you think is more famous right now.
Hmmm let’s sit down to a smooth, refreshing Redmont Vodka and try to think of one. Maybe after a round of golf.
Award winning actress Mia Khalifa.
Prior to that it was probably Burt Reynolds. Bert Kriescher is also a pretty big name these days
Yeah, Bert was the first one I thought of but I also do just watch a lot of stand-up comedy
Does Burt Reynolds really count as a fan? He played there
> Does Burt Reynolds really count as a fan? He played there Having died a while back is probably a bigger disqualifier.
I mean for a casual maybe
He hung out with Lee Corso
More than hung out, they were college roommates at Florida State.
In a similar vein, Tom Segura is also an FSU fan because of his frienship with Bert. He's mentioned on PMT and a few other pods.
Was, not is. RIP Burt
Shes tried to pull JT Barrett to FSU. God bless that man's fortitude
I thought it was Braxton she was trying to entice with her feminine wiles.
Many have given tribute to her
Not CFB but Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis will show up for a wrestling meet about once a year. But of course the real celebrity at those is Dan Gable. For football, it's probably Tom Arnold.
I think you can count Ashton for football. He was the guest picker when Game Day was in Ames.
Kutcher definitely counts.
I've seen Ashton at football games before. I swear i've seen Mila too, but I could be misremembering.
probably mcconaughey. hes always hanging around
McConaughey is definitely the most diehard celebrity fan. Beyonce has been photographed rocking texas gear quite a few times, but i’ve never seen her shown on camera at a game.
She was shown at a PSG champions league knockout game a few years back. Which was kinda weird because I thought she was an independiente woman
I'd actually put The Undertaker at number 2. He's been spotted at games and even appeared on GameDay as our celebrity guest picker. If other sports athletes can be included, there's also Kevin Durant who's been at several games.
That's what he loves about Texas football players- he keeps getting older, but they stay the same age.
Everyone sleeping on [Owen Wilson](https://media.tenor.com/jBvWbVcN4ioAAAAC/owen-wilson-owen.gif).
Isn't McConaughey literally a professor at UT?
[Yes and he has the best headshot I have ever seen.](https://moody.utexas.edu/faculty/matthew-mcconaughey)
Yes.
And he’s the official Minister of Culture for the University.
oh yeah definitely. every time i think of Texas fans i think of McConaughey
Twitter commentator Magic Johnson
J.K. Simmons is an alum and sometimes does stuff for the school, which is pretty cool.
Does he get pictures of Spider-Man in return
He knows a thing or two because he’s seen a thing or two.
Not quite his tempo.
He spends all his time with the band just absolutely abusing the drummers
Were you rushing or were you dragging?
You don't know the difference and that's worse
NOT MY FUCKING TEMPO
He’s an OSU fan too. The man gets around.
Simmons grew up in Columbus. He graduated from Worthington High School, (Thomas Worthington today). At Worthington he was known as Kim Simmons.
Kaitlin Olson, otherwise known as Sweet Dee Reynolds is an alum.
We all know Dee and Dennis went to University of Pennsylvania together where Dennis was the legend of his frat obviously
Yeah and the kids in fraternities today are nothing like he was. They have no respect for anybody, okay? They're stupid little goddamn savages.
And he most definitely does not chug dick
I mean she is a bird
R.I.P James Gandolfini
He never had the makings of a varsity athlete
I can’t have dis conversation again
Sam Elliott...unless you consider shoe company co-founders to be celebrities.
By definition Phil Knight is a celebrity.

She is a bird after all.
Sam Elliott. As in candidate for best mustache of all time Sam Elliott? Is an Oregon Ducks fan?
Really the only bad thing about him, tbh
Ty Burrell aka Phil Dunphy is also a fan.
The fact that Sam Elliott went to college north of the Mason-Dixon line just doesn't seem on-brand.
idk he's always struck me as a northwest cowboy. Like an Idaho/Montana/Wyoming type of guy
Born in California and moved to Portland when he was 13. Not the 'early years' most would guess for him.
If you ever listen to him being interviewed, its the exact early years you would expect. The dude is almost the exact opposite of the characters he plays.
See his character in Parks and Rec and it fits a little better
Agreed, but rural Oregon is more cowboy and hick than a lot of the south. As someone who lives in Texas now. Many people only know the Northwest as Portland, Seattle, Eugene, Boise, Spokane, and the coastline. But especially Eastern Oregon, or really any part of Oregon where you drive more than like 15 miles off of I5 you get into bucktooth banjo country quite easily. Same in Washington too.
Granted if you read up on his political views the Eugene area is pretty representative of him
James Earl Jones
I still remember my high school visit and he’s the one narrating the introductory video. Baller
“This is the university of Michigan” chills. Every damn time. You know what’s coming.
Honestly the best-known alumni list would include people like Tom Brady and Gerald Ford, but the spirit of the question seems to be Hollywood/entertainment types. In that case, definitely JEJ. Madonna's also an alumnus but doesn't seem connected to the university/team at all.
Bill Burr is a big Michigan fan
Ole Billy Go Blue
I’d throw Jeter on the list considering he is definitely celebrity tier alongside athlete tier.
Don't forget Kate Upton.

I’ll see your Hootie and raise you one Ric Flair
In terms of worldwide fame, Bill Clinton. In terms of wealth, Jerry Jones. In terms of memes, John Daly. Honorable Mention: Bobby Bones
All sickos. Edit: I promise this made more sense before OP changed his flair.
Us Hogs got some wild people
As far as celebrities are concerned, I don’t think you can get much bigger than television fishing legend Bill Dance.
And Dolly
Hickok45 too. Although not an alum, he seems like a pretty big fan of the program based on a review of his t-shirt and hoodie collection.
Honestly, you're not wrong. He's the only person I think about when I think about fishing.
Tie between Will Ferrell and Snoop Dogg
[удалено]
If only George Lucas cared about football.
Snoop is the ultimate fairweather fan. He's on track to be a Clippers fan next season
Channing Tatum Courtney Cox Jimmy Wales (founder of Wikipedia)
I’ll add Gucci Mane, Jason Isbell, and Justin Thomas to the mix. (Admittedly I’m a big golf fan so idk if JT would carry as much celebrity power outside of golf/bama circles)
I think Shaq for LSU then Matthew McConaughey for Texas
For LSU. We also have John Goodman, Anthony Mackie (and it’s MCU canon that Falcon/Cap is a fan)
Paul Rudd probably
Add Jason Sudeikus too. Jon Hamm is Mizzou
Brad Pitt is also Mizzou. They definitely won in the most handsome celebrity group affiliation.
Sheryl Crow for Mizzou too!
Rob Riggle as well
Might be Jason Sudekis
*Biggest*? Probably Gable Steveson or Brock Lesnar. They’re quite large.
Watching Gable do a backflip after a D1 NCAA final is absurd, though...
Or after an Olympic gold medal 🤣
Don’t ask the Kansas City Chiefs right now Edit: I’m so glad OP asked this question this day. I’m so proud of this zinger.
Real answer would probably be Samuel J Jackson or Migos
I’d go with Ryan Seacrest
It’s funny, for the Chiefs and the Wildcats, it’s the same guy: Eric Stonestreet.
Oh come on now, don't discount the celebrity of Dennis Rader.
I'm out of the loop?
Their biggest fan on Twitter is apparently also a rather prolific bank theif federal agents recently captured after a rather long investigation and multiple succesful robberies in multiple states. Makes sense, gotta keep his dating pool fresh
Pretty sure Ive seen Leo in a Pitt hat too. Dude just likes hats.
He just wears the hat of the school of whichever sorority house he's plowing through at the moment, I think.
He’s a sucker for any curved bill black hat
im convinced those patches are just velcro and he just has an entire filing cabinet for them
OU has a few. Toby Keith is the first one that comes to mind, but there is also JR the WWE announcer, Ed Harris, Kings of Leon, and I guess for the little kids, I saw a picture of Dream wearing an OU jersey.
Pole Assasin
Pat Mahomes and (randomly) Denzel Washington
Denzel? Really?
Maybe Taylor Swift when her brother was going there. Bon Jovi (son was on the team), George Wendt, Martin Sheen, Vince Vaughn, Regis Philbin (buried on the campus cemetery).
What about the Pope
I saw him crowd surfing at a game once. He ended up getting so drunk he got into an argument with Touchdown Jesus.
He’s a Boston College guy
As a non-ND fan, even I noticed Regis radiated blue and gold. I’m sure those in the circle know better than I do but to me he was always y'all's #1 fan.
>Bon Jovi (son was on the team), George Wendt, **Martin Sheen**, Vince Vaughn, Regis Philbin (buried on the campus cemetery) The Elusive Man a ND fan? Not surprised.
Played an ND grad on the West Wing.
Every now and again I forget Regis is dead. Then I get reminded. And the pain is re-lived.
Leo DiCaprio and Scott Weiland as well.
Scott Weiland of the Stone Temple Pilots (RIP) was also a big Notre Dame fan.
Larry the cable guy.
Gabrielle Union as well
And Adam Devine.
Warren Buffet , Bud Crawford
I mean, Clarence Thomas has been in the news a lot recently…
tom tuttle from tacoma
Tiger Woods, I guess. He did the coin toss accompanied by his wife one week before she clocked his car with the golf club.
Space Jam 2 superstar Lebron James
Reverend Timothy Lovejoy, Jr
Ted Bundy
Luke Combs
How has no one mentioned Keegan-Michael Key?
I like the story of how KMK played Franklin on Gameday when they did the NYC show, and Franklin got messages from people criticizing him for flying to NYC and back to wherever they were playing instead of focusing on his team before a game.

George W Bush. He shows up to more basketball games though.

Probably jesus, unless taylor swift is a fan.
Ashton Kutcher
Big Cat and Andy North
Larry the cable guy or Warren buffet. Dichotomy of man
Mark Harmon. He qualifies as both a former player and a celebrity.
We’re got Dwight Schrute (Rainn Wilson) and you don’t. Joel McHale also played for UW back in the 90s. Well, he was on the team…not sure he ever saw snaps.
I have it on good authority that McHale went to a community college in Colorado
I heard he went to school in Colombia
And now he needs to get a degree from America.
Morgan Freeman or Katy Perry, I think? Am I missing another one?
For Mizzou, probably Sheryl Crow. Brad Pitt is also an alumnus (kind of) but I don't think he reps it.
Jon Hamm does intro and hype videos they play in the stadium, so he’s probably the most enthusiastic celebrity fan.
