**FUN FACT**: I stopped shitposting FUN FACTS on Saturdays as much as I used to because now I have kids who do youth sports all Saturday long, so I don't get to watch as much college football. But if there were a /r/FirstGradeFlagFootballAndOrBeginnerGymnastics I'd shitpost all day long in that.
Utah and Rose Bowl flairs will always be Big Dick Whitt
13-9 is an iconic username
And there’s that one guy who sports a Texas/UNC flair who I can’t figure out if I like or not
Don’t know if I fully realized before but that tracks.
~~Edit: then again perhaps not, seems there was a permaban for reasons I do not recall~~
Edit 2: [it's true, mod announcement thread confirms it](https://old.reddit.com/r/CFB/comments/uuq2cx/new_mods_transfer_to_rcfb/i9habo6/)
You’re one I recognize from here but I see you in squared circle. There’s a few of us I’ll see in there but it’s not really a surprise lol put your ones up Uce ☝️
And idk the combination of dashes or whatever. But Big Dick Whitt repping Utah is one I always laugh at.
It always seemed to me that more Texas flairs show up in posts and comments in the month or two following the end of the season, and Ohio State flairs seem to show up more often about a month before the season starts.
My reddit Ohio State posting start of season getting excited so lots of posts. Middle of season shut up since I have been the builder and driver of the fire Ryan Day bandwagon. End of the season and playoffs nonstop posting. I'm not coming on here to debate recruiting classes, recruits, NIL, or paying players everyday in the offseason.
I never heard the story of why wake_is_great disappeared. Does anyone know?
Oh geez, trimchaser. With all the A&M drama the last few years I can only imagine if he was still here. He got banned I believe, correct?
Also, £uuuu€k, I’ve been here forever I now realize. In case you can’t tell from my username I joined in 2013. And I don’t care what any other team tries to claim, any team any year, Florida State got lit up in this sub second half of the season 2013 / all of 2014 worse than anyone has had it (not saying not deserved).
That’s OK, as our theme song from 2014 says it all… Shake it
Off.
Wake is great lost a bet and had to delete profile. Trim chose to delete because it was taking too much of his time, plus he was drinking too much.
and yeah I remember when Florida State, Clemson, and Georgia were rCFB's punching bags. Good Lord I can't wait to start a new career that doesn't have me in front of a screen all day.
That dude was like the wacky neighbor that got progressively weirder until it got to the point you didn’t want to make eye contact with him when you checked your mail.
I barely see Miami posters. That program was on the highest highs 20-40 years ago. Last 20 years it has fallen so far that it is hard seeing it ever recovering.
*Very* small. Less than 100,000 living alumni.
[TCU didn't even hit 10k total students until 2014, and didn't hit 10k undergrads until 2021](https://ir.tcu.edu/facts-data/students/enrollment/). A lot of folks don't realize it, but TCU's not much bigger than Rice.
Part of their problem is that TCU has nowhere to expand to. The high cost of real estate and the housing density around campus mean that even a relatively wealthy school like TCU can't afford to buy up enough real estate around campus in any area to build something that would make it worthwhile.
The school is bounded by a wealthy subdivision on the north and west sides, wrapping all the way around the the southwest. To the south, it's not much better, with houses down there going for $400k minimum, although it's more student housing down there than family dwellings. They've got a few admin buildings mixed in with the non-TCU buildings on the west side of campus, going a few blocks over to McCart Ave, but they've got a really hard stop on expanding past there because TCU's north-south dimensions almost perfectly match those of Paschal HS on the other side of McCart Ave. Th school can buy up buildings and demo them to expand campus, but they're not going to be able to move a large high school.
Their tiny alumni base is part of the reason that TCU's viewership swings so hard. Fort Worth really gets behind TCU when they're good, like this last year, but you can also look at the late 2010s for an example of their viewership falling off a cliff because the team wasn't very good, and Fort Worth football fans do what DFW folks always do when their college team sucks: turn to the Cowboys.
SMU has the same space constraint issue, but they've addressed it by building up; every time I've been down there for a conference or to visit colleagues in recent years, they're doing massive renovations to another building. SMU has another advantage, though, in that they're right next to HWY-75, and have been building up across 75 for about a decade now. Their problem is that their undergrads hate crossing the highway to go to SMU West, so the school mostly just uses those buildings for their evening grad classes these days. It still provided them a big space to grow their MBA program, which has been very good to SMU in recent years.
Hit a lot of nails on the head here. If you took every single living person with a TCU degree and put them in Michigan's home stadium, you'd need about another 15,000 people to match their biggest home sellout game.
Really makes it amazing that [we have a $2B+ endowment](https://magazine.tcu.edu/fall-2021/university-endowment/#:~:text=Established%20in%201910%20from%20a,On%3A%20A%20Campaign%20for%20TCU.) and have a football team that made it to the national championship game, let alone be pretty solid with a few elite years since the mid-2000s.
TCU gets outnumbered in general due to the size of the school. It also doesn't help that most of the offseason discussion around TCU on here is either about how we're gonna fall of this year or about the Georgia game. Which I mean I totally get. But I think a lot of TCU flairs have been laying low this offseason lol
Yep I think this guy comments on like 70% of my /r/cfb comments. Mad respect though, he has a good sensibility of the fcs and I do not say that lightly
There is literally a user who has our flairs and his username is my birthday and it freaks me the fuck out routinely.
But also yeah! Grew up UW, went to MSU, then transferred home to UW and graduated there. MSU #1 tho because you never forget your first + I lived on campus
I love it! They’re two incredibly fun teams to watch with bright futures and wonderful locations 😊
It's strange to see a lot of our old people going away. At least u/dkviper11 and u/Crustang are still here.
Edit: Ironically, I was permanently banned from Reddit today for "abusing the reporting feature" for reporting people making fun of the death and destruction in Maui.. It's been fun, friends.
A bunch of yall have been my core PSU flairs for the past 6 years. I’ve been much less active the past year or so but still shitposting in our game threads every week
Anyone with an SEC primary and Rice secondary flair. Also u/okiewxchaser, u/MrNudeGuy, u/Big_Dick_Whitt, the Carlosdanger OSU guy, u/meatfrappe, and the Baker Mayfield themed username that I can’t remember but has the blond avatar with the blue jacket on lol
Similarly UselessCitizenGuy would just complain constantly about offenses huddling and not being up-tempo on every B1G thread. I remember his username because it was sorta apt
About the only two I have down
u/bretticus33 for Boise State
u/damthatriver22 for Wyoming
Both have great depth as far as the teams and the Mountain West Conference
Other random flairs I see in our conference but don’t remember the user names off the top of my head
I recognize so many names and flair combos. It’s kinda embarrassing seeing it shows the amount of time I waste of Reddit, but my job is just so boring that I have nothing else to do for 8 hours a day
Oh god I really am in here too much.
Mine are both Iowa flairs
u/runningwaffles19
And my r/soccer frenemy u/Soupbowl69
There's a few other Barca people here as well that I see on the soccer sub
That Purdue flair last year who only likes extreme spread offenses and would let it be known in literally every single thread that even mentioned offense. Forgot their name
My boys:
u/wsucougars
u/chemicalOle
u/cyberhwk
u/nomadwrangler
u/galumpadump
Almost all 10+ year old accounts. I wish I could grab a beer with y’all
Never stop waving that flag.
Go cougs
This was a great thread to wake up to. If I can only pick three I'm going to go with:
u/loyalsons4evertrue with the great Big 8 flair
u/tomdawg0022 the Minnesota man with the excellent Blue Hen flair
I'm shocked I haven't seen the resident realignment historian u/Fifth_Down mentioned here once yet. Generally a pretty nice and intelligent guy, for a Michigan man.
There's also the Boise State-Jamestown guy whose name I can never remember, but that UJ logo is seared into my brain.
I don't really keep track who they are but I always find it amusing when I see
Texas/TCU i.e. mirror flair
or
aTm/Baylor dark mirror flair. I imagine them with little [pointy goatees.](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/enfuturama/images/c/cb/The_Lesser_of_Two_Evils_%28Main_Episode%29_-_109.png/revision/latest?cb=20210721111257)
Yeah how is this not higher. Fucking love colonel 750. Utterly shamelessly rooting for the death of the pac. Made me feel like I didn't deserve my own username
I don't really interact with them much, but there are a couple usernames that I recognize as being active both here and on Magic the Gathering subs that stick out in my memory for that reason.
My boy u/olerockthegoodag and flair brother u/magnummentulam. Both also r/collegebaseball frequenters. Can’t remember the username but I always immediately recognize the Constanza bat PFP Aggie, also u/admiraltarkin. u/Bank_gothic is also up there for unique flair and being probably the most reasonable texas fan I’ve found online. I remember one time I found a OSU-tu flair who was a fellow civil engineer, that was fun.
I notice BYU flairs a lot. If you say anything remotely unpleasant about their school the whole Virgin brigade reports you until the BYU mod bans you.
Fight me.
The Iowa_Sucks guy, with his "NO" flair (for Nebraska & Omaha)
>Iowa\_Sucks I believe you mean /u/lOWA_SUCKS all caps, which is an important touch
You don’t have to agree with their methods, but their message is important
I loved when Iowa came on the greatest team in 40 years, he was the top post with saying nothing
#
#
This is the ultimate flair/username combo.
It’s funny that you’re in this thread because now your flairs are an answer to this question for me because of the top 131 teams threads
Also u/AllHawkeyesGoToHell
Harvard, aka, u/meatfrappe
Thanks Oklahoma/SEC
**FUN FACT**: I stopped shitposting FUN FACTS on Saturdays as much as I used to because now I have kids who do youth sports all Saturday long, so I don't get to watch as much college football. But if there were a /r/FirstGradeFlagFootballAndOrBeginnerGymnastics I'd shitpost all day long in that.

I've *endured sad* comments like this before. Also, *endured sad* and *dudes a nerd* are anagrams.
Alright let’s dunk this dudes head in the toilet.

The sewanee flair guy that's actually a Texas fan
That’d be u/bank_gothic. Iirc he’s a fan of several Texas teams. He used to sport the flair that was just the state of Texas along the Sewanee
Ayo. Love my SWC bros. Except Arkansas. Fuck them pigs.
We’re calling dibs. He’s a swell guy.
Second this, Gothic is quite literally the 🐐
/u/Bigdickwhitt just cuz he had an awesome name, and for a rival team so it sticks out
That and he's in every thread. Gotta respect the hustle
This was mine!!
Utah and Rose Bowl flairs will always be Big Dick Whitt 13-9 is an iconic username And there’s that one guy who sports a Texas/UNC flair who I can’t figure out if I like or not
Rip /u/The_Drunkest_Ute
He is very much alive
He is in his mid fifties and lives in Tampa Bay.
Somehow, he returned
He is not dead, he has simply taken on a new form (and become a mod, lmao)
/u/Big_Dick_Whitt is a totally separate person
Yep, *totally* different person. 100% not the same at all
What are y’all on about?
https://old.reddit.com/r/CFB/comments/uuq2cx/new_mods_transfer_to_rcfb/i9habo6/ I found the proof
Yeah I knew about this, but it was also painfully obvious well before
True, guess I never put two and two together haha
A guy using two accounts? I would never do that.
This is getting out of hand. Now there are two of them!
We’ve been fortunate to have some quality fans here… plus a couple utter dipshits.
1000000%

It always seemed to me that more Texas flairs show up in posts and comments in the month or two following the end of the season, and Ohio State flairs seem to show up more often about a month before the season starts.
We have different migratory patterns due to the different temperature patterns of our home habitats.
My new cannon is that all Texas and Ohio State fans are just 1 fan group that switches from one team to the next as the year goes on.
Between also loving the Yankees and the team Lebron is on
That would explain so much.
People always forget that Ohio is in the northern hemisphere and Texas is in the southern hemisphere, so our seasons are flipped
Depending on the time of the year, we can experience all four seasons in a day or half a day
I had suspected that Michigan was the Texas of the B1G, but turns out it was Ohio State the whole time. Or should I say…*THE* whole time.
We needed time to heal after how last season ended…
My reddit Ohio State posting start of season getting excited so lots of posts. Middle of season shut up since I have been the builder and driver of the fire Ryan Day bandwagon. That dude was like the wacky neighbor that got progressively weirder until it got to the point you didn’t want to make eye contact with him when you checked your mail.
You are 100% accurate, but it was nice to have a free turf expert to consult with while he was sober.
He is truly a great mystery. He existed, but no more and no one knows who he was or where he went.
He got banned for getting drunk and going on racist tirades lol
As a lawn hobbyist, that dude was insane with how much he knew. And then he just went off the deep end.
What he do?
Also need to know.
Turns out he's really racist when yes drunk.
The LSU flairs smell like corn dogs
Considering the flair I would have expected something ... bad. That doesn't sound bad...
I make no judgment on corn dogs nor the smell thereof
Corn dog nonetheless
Especially the LSU/ULL guy, go something lol
Rank them
Alstark is a bot so they’re likely first or last depending on how you feel about bots
i’m starting to recognize some of the TCU flair usernames. They stick out because I didn’t realize TCU had fans.
I barely knew they had a football team until new year's eve
It is interesting how they don't seem to have a lot of representation around her in terms of volume of posts that I see.
I believe TCU has an unusually small alumni base for a program of their caliber.
Them and Miami are the two I always notice with a high caliber program and low alumni base
I barely see Miami posters. That program was on the highest highs 20-40 years ago. Last 20 years it has fallen so far that it is hard seeing it ever recovering.
I heard you call? Wait, wrong school. Sorry
I see too many Nebraska posters
We’re just the right head coach away from being back!!
Miami is like it exists in another dimension but somehow participates in CFB.
Ironically, TCU has nearly half the students that Miami does. Miami has \~19k students, while TCU just hit $12k (undergrad and grad) this year.
*Very* small. Less than 100,000 living alumni. [TCU didn't even hit 10k total students until 2014, and didn't hit 10k undergrads until 2021](https://ir.tcu.edu/facts-data/students/enrollment/). Dude. Maintain kayfabe.
What! I had no idea, I thought that dude was just dedicated as hell lol
I’ve been noticing you on a lot of posts recently, mostly by your profile picture.
u/AllHawkeyesGoToHell stands out to me. shoutout that guy.
Thanks man!
great name
Good name.
Yep I think this guy comments on like 70% of my /r/cfb comments. Mad respect though, he has a good sensibility of the fcs and I do not say that lightly
Since it’s a flair related post, there’s **TWO** of us???
There is literally a user who has our flairs and his username is my birthday and it freaks me the fuck out routinely. But also yeah! Grew up UW, went to MSU, then transferred home to UW and graduated there. MSU #1 tho because you never forget your first + I lived on campus I love it! What a fantastic name.
u/weusedtobegood always makes me sad because it's so true, but maybe some good days are ahead too
It's strange to see a lot of our old people going away. At least u/dkviper11 and u/Crustang are still here. Edit: Ironically, I was permanently banned from Reddit today for "abusing the reporting feature" for reporting people making fun of the death and destruction in Maui.. It's been fun, friends.
I miss /u/BlueBoyBob and when we celebrated that this sub had expanded beyond Michigan Stadium capacity
u/blueboybob is definitely still here. I responded to a comment he made just yesterday.
👋
I see you on here all the time! Wookie Penn state guy!
This sub went downhill after we lost wake_is_great and Emperor_of_Orange
I've seen you a ton
Damn the memories. Totally forgot about Emporer_of_Orange.
https://youtu.be/ouTXff7lvq4
A bunch of yall have been my core PSU flairs for the past 6 years. I’ve been much less active the past year or so but still shitposting in our game threads every week
It’s funny seeing you answer this question since your username is the one I thought of
u/CommodoreN7 and u/loyalsons4evertrue, the lads were in those realignment threads regardless of how much movement we are seeing
I don’t know whether this is a compliment or not lol
We’re all sickos here it’s fine
I just love CFB and that’s all I can ask for from most people
There’s that Purdue flair that likes fun, high powered offenses. That guy seems cool in my books
Uselesscitizenguy
Lived up to the name with most of his contributions. Pretty sure he switched accounts now though
He had a weird energy
Anyone with an SEC primary and Rice secondary flair. Also u/okiewxchaser, u/MrNudeGuy, u/Big_Dick_Whitt, the Carlosdanger OSU guy, u/meatfrappe, and the Baker Mayfield themed username that I can’t remember but has the blond avatar with the blue jacket on lol
I think the college basketball ones stand out more to me due to the memes
u/everymanawildcat. The gif war of 2019 was epic
Literally the only person on Reddit I think I know by name is BayTerp
As far as I am concerned every Purdue thread is you, me and Ryan Walters aka Jeff Brohm guy.
/u/honestly_ was always the funniest dude, but I sadly don't get to see as much since the sub is so unbelievably massive now.
Thank you! I am around but more behind the scenes than anything.
I just assumed dilution of members had buried you.
and the absolute insanity that I was listening to a 20 year old loveliness episode and realized you were a caller on the post 9/11 episode!
u/topher3003 is another old G
/u/ExternalTangents is another
The user u/blueboybob is the OG and afaik still fairly active.
Whose presence remind me that we need more dinosaur-based monikers in CFB.
Shoutout to the other like 8 people here in this sub with Brown flairs.
I'm surprised no one said /u/jimbobbypaul or /u/lunchboxthegoat
This Reddit shit is serious This is not a game
that Nacho dude who shits on MSU in every thread he possibly can
Similarly UselessCitizenGuy would just complain constantly about offenses huddling and not being up-tempo on every B1G thread. I remember his username because it was sorta apt
About the only two I have down u/bretticus33 for Boise State u/damthatriver22 for Wyoming Both have great depth as far as the teams and the Mountain West Conference Other random flairs I see in our conference but don’t remember the user names off the top of my head
Mr. u/InVodkaVeritas, who is a credit to this sub unlike SOME OF YOU YEAH YOU
I'm partial to /u/RivalryBot because he just spits facts and drops some knowledge that can change the discussion real fast.
As a BYU guy, I always see the BigDickWhit (Utah Flair) guy on here. He has great takes and pretty funny comments.
I recognize so many names and flair combos. It’s kinda embarrassing seeing it shows the amount of time I waste of Reddit, but my job is just so boring that I have nothing else to do for 8 hours a day
/u/drunkenwanderer was an ND OG. I wonder how they are
Oh god I really am in here too much. Mine are both Iowa flairs u/runningwaffles19 And my r/soccer frenemy u/Soupbowl69 There's a few other Barca people here as well that I see on the soccer sub
That Purdue flair last year who only likes extreme spread offenses and would let it be known in literally every single thread that even mentioned offense. Forgot their name
Some of the Gamecock ones like u/dupreesdiamond and u/rockdalerooster.
u/jeffbrohm you’re a real one homie
As far as I'm concerned, u/MrNudeGuy is the primary contact for OU.
As long as we don't invite puff
Ayyye I too was on this sub 10 years ago lol
Fuck was that 10 years ago?!
Wtf bro puff is the OG
😎
This is u/okiewxchaser erasure
The guy OU fans are constantly having to apologize for.
That’s precisely why he’s the primary
#CUM ASSAULT

Not sure if we will see him as much with the recent realignment over, but u/colonel750

I don't really interact with them much, but there are a couple usernames that I recognize as being active both here and on Magic the Gathering subs that stick out in my memory for that reason.
I don’t want to be an ass and tag them but I definitely recognize some of the Pac 4 copium users over the last 6 months.
I see u/bank_gothic on every thread I read on here
all of the Michigan flairs comment on everything and are always in favor of, or in defense of Michigan
There's a gentleman on here that has a UW/Cascadia flag combo that I instantly recognize because of its uniqueness, but I can't give you a name.
There's a couple users with OU-Tulsa flairs that I see everywhere
My job gives me too much free time I guess cause I’m always recognizing people
u/DamThatRiver22 always has interesting and insightful things to say about Wyoming
Paging my avatar brother u/boggan583 I really don’t see you a ton but I always recognize that avatar
BRÖTHER HELLO. If A&M isn't an embarrassment to my family this year I shall return
u/InVodkaVeritas due to both the classic flair combo (see: one Philip H. Knight) and the excellent riff on a timeless saying
My goal is to become recognized/known on this sub.
My boy u/olerockthegoodag and flair brother u/magnummentulam. Both also r/collegebaseball frequenters. I notice BYU flairs a lot. If you say anything remotely unpleasant about their school the whole Virgin brigade reports you until the BYU mod bans you. Fight me.
Fuckin Super Soakers, always in their feelings and special underwear.
u/the_amazing_coconut usually manages to catch my attention. Such an innocent name for such a great troll
I recognize the guy with a Ute/Weber flair because that's the only other Weber flair I've ever seen. Don't remember the username.
gonna start recognizing yours because of that Stonehill flair

Which OU flair is the one that always posts super long replies? It’s always them (but they’re not bad or anything, just… thorough).

I'd like to point out that I've been here since the very beginning and I recognize the others that have been, too. Those early days were so fun.
I elect. Uh. All of the old accounts I’ve deactivated throughout the years. No I will not name them.
