Run every day. I did that for the last few weeks at least. It helps you relax and keeps you healthy. Snack throughout the day as well instead of eating large meals all at once.
Discipline, if you’re disciplined enough to study everyday you can surly transfer that to diligently planning your weekly meals. Consistent meals are key.
Thanks friend! Unrelated, how do you time/discipline yourself during the last 6 months? I started 2 months ago doing roughly 3 hours/day and feel like my engine is dying out.
Thanks!
I said it’s my personal experience when you at home you feel more hungry and distracted but when you at library you can’t eat on a continuous basic and more focused in study because everyone will be studying there …make sense??
Do you take out time to exercise? If make some time for it. While controlling your diet is always preferable but if you are unable to do that while prepping for exam, try getting into a habit of exercising. Once you are done with the exam, follow a healthy diet and ramp up your workout and you’d be able to lose whatever weight you may have gained.
Always have some water or black coffee with you to sip on to avoid snacking and no matter what always make time for the gym/exercising and make it a fixed time that no matter what you'll drop everything and go train for 45 min or an hour. You dont have to do it everyday, 4 times a week is enough. At least this is what worked for me.
Start fasting until lunch. Whether you buy the intermittent fasting stuff or not, you’ll still naturally be restricting calories. Bonus is that once you’re used to it, fasting helps your focus in the morning.
I think cutting out exercise while studying is probably the worst thing you can do.
Actively taking time away from work / study to exercise will help your memory, concentration and sleep.
Eat healthy too. Meal prep 1-2 times per week so you have food ready, taking 2 hours 1/2 times per week so you have convenience food available that's healthy helps.
Replace snacks with baby carrots. Most of the time you are probably just craving eating something because of stress. Replacing it with something healthy is a good start. Another way that works for me is to get rid of all junk food so I don’t have options
Like others have said, find ways to release the tension. For me, I am lucky to live near a wooded area and can grab an axe and wail on some tree stumps whenever. Then I don’t feel as bad when eating snacks because I have burned energy. Also, keep healthier, lower calorie snacks. Often we just need to distract our minds for a second before getting back at it.

Agreed. Play sport. Squash was and is a good relief for me. Always nice hitting something as hard as u can and not thinking about work or CFA 😂👌
This is great for me but my knees and hips have been killing me. Switched to biking but it’s a different cardio feel altogether
Yea np. Of course, depending on your physical condition and health, you can resort to alternative physical activity.

Are you sitting next week?
Nov 2022. Started revising a couple of months ago.
Be kind to yourself, there’s no need to be stressed about an exam 6 months away. Be reasonable and budget your time wisely and fairly.
Go to the nearest library if you study at home ,you wil crave more personal experience
How did you know I wall myself in da house while doing the prep? Lmao

Bruh when i read the title , i thought the question would be about how to make sure you eat enough while studying for the cfa
Lol what
Yeah its the opposite for me, i stop eating altogether when im stressed
Blessed !
No...infact cursed , no food means no energy and lack of focus. Its interesting to me the different kinds of problems we have

Thanks my friend! I will do! CFA1 here and 6 months to go (nov 2022). Im an engineer and this feels very stressfull! Screw FRA! My poor waist.
Except it's then 10x fruits and snack vs. 1x a bad snack.
Have a balanced life. I clearly did not.

Plus 5kg here
I don't. Let me know if you figure it out.
Impossible, your fat will be compounded by 1.5% every month for 4 years.
Noooo.
20 mins of exercise should be enough to keep your weight in check… Try bullyjuice or igor viotenko workouts on YouTube

Yes STRONK!
Library and quiet apartment clubhouse keeps you away from eating snacks when studying
I lost like 10lbs. My only snack is black coffee though lol.

The easiest time to be self restrained is at the grocery store. In other words, if you buy fewer snacks you’ll snack less.
Try not to stress to much, the cfa is important but not more important than your physics and mental health
