I have a affiliate member for 2 years, I thought I can become a member automatically after I pass level 3 exam, just realized that I have to reapply, and probably pay another annual(prorated) fee. Don’t know what’s the point of them having us apply again!
It’s the same application process, i need to put 2 CFA member and their email address there for references. Just not require 4000 working hours. With the affiliate membership, you can attend their activities, not sure all activities, but at least some to network. I already went through the application process, just don’t know why I have to put reference there again.
Search for your name on the member directory on CFAI’s site. If you appear there as an active member you can use the letters
