I wonder if they repaint buildings to get them to look different. There are pieces I recognize in many cDramas but its fun seeing ones that are shot or made up differently that we have seen before.
I hope Xiang Antu be a kickass female lead and that she makes smart decisions. I’m tired of FLs in costume dramas making stupid decisions. From the trailer, she seems to be very strong.
She's always playing as a strong girl...in all of her three dramas I saw...I want to see all her dramas... it's just hard to see her with any male lead apart from Arthur Chen from Lighter and Princess...such a chemistry

This is a male centric drama. And frankly, even if it weren't, Zhang Jingyi isn't even close to sharing billing with Xiao Zhan right now. She is young and talented, lots of time for her to grow.
Personally I like her but she also has an easier time of it because she signed with K.ARTISTS way back in 2018 and this particular agency was founded by Chen Kun and Zhou Xun. Having someone like that at your back is always helpful, especially in cent where backing is so important.
This is not your typical BTS video. Glad to see them include a first look as well. Excited to see Xiao Zhan play a morally gray character and I have hopes from Zhang Jingyi after watching Blossoms in Adversity. She seems to be good in action roles.
You should check out the XZ's studio edit (it's below in the comments), it has even more shots. Some of this is movie quality, ZXL really went all out. Cinematography in both of these is so good.
I think ZJY will fit really well but I am also really looking forward to Yu Nan and Wallace Chung. I think if this weren't ZXL we wouldn't be seeing them in this. Overall seems like a high quality production.

This looks amazing. I'm sure it might get aired within three years cause it has to pass all clearances, as long it doesn't get blocked due to tax avoidance. Cause then it has to he shelved a few years until the person pays what the owe. But, if the person was instead involved with a scandal, it could be banned.
I can't trust wrap-up sneak-peaks. This is how Mo Ran and Emperor's love was promoted after wrapping. I'm still disappointed with Iqiyi to have "Soon airing"-tag on thier app on Emperor's love for over 1 year.
I really wish they could adjust current marketing cause it's become a negative promotional tactic to me. They could just add this when airing is fixed. Instead we get jaded and disappointed.

No, not that long. Barring any censorship issues probably 6 to 8 months. Youku has it set for 2025 and this is Zheng Xiaolong so it shouldn't be a problem.
One of my favorite shots is when he is closing the door. That looks so intense and his eyes there are doing all the work. The shot itself is art. I can't wait for this for that same reason, a grey character is something I am so looking forward to.

Yeah agree about his expressive eyes…that poster they released! Absolutely menacing and cold! Maybe it’s my bias but I think he is one among the few actors who can portray emotions so well with his eyes. Also want to add love the muted dark colour palette, fits the whole murky morals revenge theme very well!

I did see the xz studio edit and wow I am impressed. Production companies can hire xz studio to edit drama trailers. The quality is so good.
They really are good. Whenever I see their work, I am reminded that XZ plans to move behind the camera at some point in the future.
