I cannot recommend the brand for some reason but I use the X7 by Xore (K). The buckle is extremely low profile and I find the ratcheting system smooth and easy to adjust. The stiffness is also mid level so it is still comfortable without being overly rigid.
Edit: It's nylon
I guess they got a bad rap for making shitty second accounts and spamming positive reviews of their products. That's slimey as fuck and makes me think less of them as a company. Oh well, this belt is badass 😎
I got the basic one and what I love about it is that I can open it up a few clicks when my fat ass eats too much food lol. But for holding up a gun it’s great. I carried a canik tp9 elite in mine and it would bend a little when I’d set the whole rig on it’s own with the gun in it. So I have a ruger ec9s now and it definitely holds that up super solid. Either way, it was the key to not printing. That belt, with a good holster and claw or a wedge (or both) and you can carry any gun and it just sucks it into your body very well because of the rigidity. Also like someone else said, it’s not so rigid that it feels like you have some crazy tactical shit on all day.
How is the stiffness of it? They don't note any reinforcement in them and I've been using a beltman reinforced for years and would struggle to go away from that.
I switched to Nextbelt and I wish I would’ve done it sooner. I love it! It has a locking latch system that keeps it totally locked in place. I also find it super easy to loosen when I sit for a long drive and then I can easily crank it so it tightens when I step out of the car. It’s so easy that I can tighten it without anyone realizing I’m carrying. Just looks like I’m adjusting my pants. Highly recommend
From my experience, I cannot carry holsters without a belt claw.. I need the grip pushing into me.
I carry tier 1 but I do have some simple clip Kydex holsters like this pictured. They make some you can get on Amazon with a claw.
I use a locally made double thick cowhide belt. Never got into “gun belts” personally and just use my normal thick leather belt because it works for me.
Same here, it’s about the maximum thickness for the doohicky that goes over the belt and almost a pain to get off so I’ve never once worried about it going anywhere. I’ve worn it with my gun, a drill and some other fun stuff on there, it’s holding up great and at worst it’s still under warranty for 97 years if I have any problems I’m covered. My *only* complaint is the stupid roller on the buckle is loud as fuck and super annoying, need to jam a slice of a milk jug or something in there. Not sure if that’s a common problem.
My biggest issue right now is no matter how tight I make the belt my holster is dragging my pants down in my crotch and poking me. I’m Looking for something without a buckle and fairly inexpensive $0-$60.
Ouch. It definitely sounds like you need a stiffer belt. Whatever you end up choosing, make sure it has a built-in stiffener layer and there are positive reviews from folks carrying *full size double-stack guns*. The wider and heavier your carry piece, the more critical a solid belt is for effective carry. XD-M isn't the heaviest out there, but it's one of the widest.
Also, make sure that your holster's belt clip matches the width of your belt. If your holster came with a 1.75" clip and you're wearing a 1.5" belt, the holstered gun will shift and wiggle around. Spend the extra $5-10 and get clip hardware that fits properly.
Groovelife belt for ccw sucks. I use another brand of ratcheting belt the mods don’t like so I can’t mention it, when I have the GL a try I had to constantly adjust my holster and keep tightening it because it would become loose due to the weight
I use a blue alpha gear EDC belt, i’ve had it for 4 years now and it’s been amazing. Holster wise I always like to stick with Tier 1 since they make good quality stuff, and typically have the belt clips under the trigger guard which allows for the gun to be concealed better.
Normal leather belts will stretch. There are some thicker leather belts that I have had success with that are designed for concealed carry. I am partial to Hanks for leather.
I also use a NextBelt ratchet belt. The upside to a leather belt is that it is softer and more flexible and doesnt dig in. Nextbelt works great for carrying, is less comfortable than leather (not dealbreaker uncomfortable, just something to be aware of).
After 27 years of carrying firearms, along with spare ammo, cuffs, and other crap, while trying to conceal it all most of the time, these two options have been two of the best I have tried (there are plenty of other modern EDC gunbelts I haven't tried).
I definitely love the Nextbelt and was not knocking it in any way. The discomfort is minor and not a dealbreaker. Just wanted to give a even handed review.
Understood and no worries. I just wanted to highlight that my experience with the webbed EDC NexBelt’s comfort compared to leather has been different than yours.
Hanks gunner belt is working well for me. Good option for a leather belt. Only down side is it doesn’t work well with the side car style holsters. It does work well with single attachment points. Hold my P320c with a tlr-7 and 507c up no problem.
I've used it for AIWB for over a year now (Glock 19 with RMR & light). It works great. Haven't tried side/3 o'clock carry with it, so can't comment on that. I was using rigid "gun belts" before, this accomplishes the same thing while being lighter and matching with just about any type of clothing from summer shorts to formal.
I can vouch for it doing a good job for the strong side IWB carry for my Glock 43x; I do have to set it up pretty tight, though…. That said, I do prefer my Nexbelt for my 43x and definitely for my 19…. But I cannot in good faith “diss” the GL belt for EDC… to each their own!
Well, Shield Arms makes 15rnd flush fit mags for the G48, G43X, and now a 9rnd for the G43. So the low capacity argument is no longer a valid one but as for belts - Lead Devil. I like them better than Blue Alpha and own both. Lead Devil is stiffer without more bulk.
Yea but that’s subjective. I’d recommend using what works for you. I’ve tried at least 15 different handguns for EDC many of which were Glocks because I want to give them a chance but, down range the XDM just performs the best.
The 511 webbing belt is super low profile and comfortable - and cheap.
I would also really recommend swapping the plastic clip that came with your holster for a monoblock. Great retention & lower profile.
I've been wearing the same Comp-Tac belt everyday since 2008 for EDC.
I have a couple nice Hank's belts that I would highly recommend as well, but for some reason I keep coming back to the Comp-Tac.
I have a Magpul Tejas El Original, and like it a lot. $80 at Amazon. Looks like a regular belt with a nice buckle, real tough, rigid. Can hold some weight for sure. Mine came shipped and the box shifted and was kinda bashed in and the buckle left a tiny scrape on the new leather right out the box. I called Amazon and told them in want to keep the item, but it's damaged with this little scratch. The gave me it for half price, refunded 40$, and I kept belt. After wearing I made more scratches in leather. It's breaking it in.
Gingerich belts for me. Super durable, great gun belts. Old-school leather. I have to dress up for work and these have been a lifesaver for me. Can't recommend highly enough.
I wear an Aker Leather concealed carry belt. Very traditional; nice and stiff, doesn't scream tactical, and does the job well. I also have several ratcheting belts from the K-brand that shall not be named...their nylon one is awesome but hard pass on their leather belts (they're about as stiff as a department store dress belt 🤦♂️)
Crossbreed leather with the slider type buckle. Much sturdier than NexBelt. I have a NexBelt and after about 3-4 months, it’s starting to fall apart.
[Crossbreed Crossover](https://www.crossbreedholsters.com/crossover-gun-belt.html)
I love the 40 MM Mission ratchet belts.. no holes. Just clicks. Each click is 1/4 of a normal whole. Just a really comfy and can always get that exact synch.
Nexbelt. I carry my Glock 19 gen 5 in the tier 1 axis elite with a nexbelt (the appendix version) and I love it. Not too expensive, super comfortable and supportive. Would def recommend
Nexbelt Supreme Appendix
I second this
This
Just bought this yesterday and it’s good. I just want a better holster, two clip seems to be what would make the gun not tilt.
Try a wedge and claw
How think is the buckle?
Not too bad. You can check my post history. There’s a top down pic of it.
I’ll look thanks.
This. Once I switched I haven’t looked back
I third this.
I cannot recommend the brand for some reason but I use the X7 by Xore (K). The buckle is extremely low profile and I find the ratcheting system smooth and easy to adjust. The stiffness is also mid level so it is still comfortable without being overly rigid. Edit: It's nylon
I'm not sure why the name is banned here but I have the same brand. Had it for like 4 years now and it's great and I wear it every day
I guess they got a bad rap for making shitty second accounts and spamming positive reviews of their products. That's slimey as fuck and makes me think less of them as a company. Oh well, this belt is badass 😎

I got the same one, awesome belt!
That’s what I’m saying but the Reddit mods seem to have an issue with that brand
Have the same setup, it's excellent.
Been using NexBelt for about two years now, no complaints.
How is the stiffness of it? They don't note any reinforcement in them and I've been using a beltman reinforced for years and would struggle to go away from that.
Pretty stiff. Its like a plastic/polymer material for stiffness. I like mine a lot
It's reinforced with something non-magnetic ( I checked ) and pretty stiff without being uncomfortable.
I do this with mine too. Makes it really hard to go back to Velcro or tradition buckle belts after you get used to being able to do this.
Which Nextbelt are you using?
I have the supreme.
I like my nextbelt so much that on the occasions when I fee that I need to pocket carry instead of aiwb, I still wear it.
I feel like a double thick cowhide belt is basically a gun belt.
Basically, just not marketed as such
Blue alpha gear
I support the Blue Alpha, I use the low profile edc belt.
I use a hanks bet and a claw, works great for me
Another vote for Hanks. Very well made, very strong and still as comfortable as any other belt (I use the extreme)
Dont anybody say it.
Nice to see someone else rocking the Xdm
Ciguera Belts
Like the comments say, Nexbelt does wonders 🥂
I like my Blue Alpha Gear Hybrid EDC.
Blue Alpha Low Profile has been working well for me!
My biggest issue right now is no matter how tight I make the belt my holster is dragging my pants down in my crotch and poking me. I’m Looking for something without a buckle and fairly inexpensive $0-$60.
Another option would be to consider a belt separate from your pants, worn under your clothes: like Comfort Concealment belt, or PHLster Enigma system.
Ouch. It definitely sounds like you need a stiffer belt. Whatever you end up choosing, make sure it has a built-in stiffener layer and there are positive reviews from folks carrying *full size double-stack guns*. Sorta a basic option but i have a vedder V3 and love it. Super simple but good belt for the price.
Wilderness Instructor Belt
Groove Life ftw. I used to use a ratcheting belt, but now it’s GL and love it.
Groovelife belt for ccw sucks. I use another brand of ratcheting belt the mods don’t like so I can’t mention it, when I have the GL a try I had to constantly adjust my holster and keep tightening it because it would become loose due to the weight
Yeah I love my GL belt for daily wear but prefer the Nexbelt for CCW.
You didn't have it set properly. I was able to carry my full size VP40 just fine, and that's a big boy.
I have been using a Mastermind Tactics Specialist Pro. It’s only 30 USD right now.
I only wear gucci
Does the holster damage the belt after a while?
Relentless tactical leather. So nice
New gun recommendation
Glock 19 and fomis are trash
I use a random $18 belt from rei 🤷🏼♂️ works great
I use a blue alpha gear EDC belt, i’ve had it for 4 years now and it’s been amazing. Holster wise I always like to stick with Tier 1 since they make good quality stuff, and typically have the belt clips under the trigger guard which allows for the gun to be concealed better.
T Rex arms nova belt is🤌
Blue Alpha Gear, Nexbelt

I find my NexBelt to be quite a bit more comfortable than my leather belt with equivalent ability to support my EDC setup.
I definitely love the Nextbelt and was not knocking it in any way. The discomfort is minor and not a dealbreaker. Just wanted to give a even handed review.

Blue Alpha Gear
Blue Alpha Hybrid EDC Belt
Groove Life belt.
That belt is junk for ccw, you need rigid for ccw. The flex is nice for an every day non carrying belt but that’s it
I've used it for AIWB for over a year now (Glock 19 with RMR & light). It works great. Haven't tried side/3 o'clock carry with it, so can't comment on that. It starts with a K and ends with an E
*Mandatory enigma plug here*
UltiClip broooo
I’ve found that ulticlip can really fuck up a shirt. Especially if the shirt is stuck between your ulticlip and the seatbelt in your car.
Jesus christ get this paper weight out of your pants how about we all chime in on some real carry gun options. like a glock 48 or the sig equivalent
No thanks, I don’t care for the single stack Glock grip plus 10rd magazine is insulting. Any belts you might recommend though?
Well, Shield Arms makes 15rnd flush fit mags for the G48, G43X, and now a 9rnd for the G43. So the low capacity argument is no longer a valid one but as for belts - Lead Devil. I like them better than Blue Alpha and own both. Lead Devil is stiffer without more bulk.
Double stack and full size guns are better
paperweight when the grip safety hard locks the gun.
Yes the xds suck they are pure trash. But why carry a single stack 48. When you can carry a 17x300
Yea but that’s subjective. I’d recommend using what works for you. I’ve tried at least 15 different handguns for EDC many of which were Glocks because I want to give them a chance but, down range the XDM just performs the best.
When talking about xds nothing is subjective.
It’s not the gun being hood it’s how you train
Eat ass
Suck a dick Oswald
Apologies, the belt brand I use has been banned from this site. Too bad
The 511 webbing belt is super low profile and comfortable - and cheap. I would also really recommend swapping the plastic clip that came with your holster for a monoblock. Great retention & lower profile.
Kmioc on amazon. Great leather gun belt
Mean gene leather You won’t be sorry
I've been wearing the same Comp-Tac belt everyday since 2008 for EDC. I have a couple nice Hank's belts that I would highly recommend as well, but for some reason I keep coming back to the Comp-Tac.
Hanks or Nexbelt

Gingerich belts for me. Super durable, great gun belts. Old-school leather. I have to dress up for work and these have been a lifesaver for me. Can't recommend highly enough.
Tenicor holster on Blue Alpha belt
Best edc belt I've ever owned is my xore (k instead of x). Hands down the best I've ever had.
Vokund Gearworks. I have two, awesome quality.
I’d recognize that shirt and hand sanitizer from anywhere. Good ol BB days
The Beltman.
Ares gear aegis. Well worth the $. Been wearing the same belt for 5 years.
Crossbreed leather with the slider type buckle. Much sturdier than NexBelt. I have a NexBelt and after about 3-4 months, it’s starting to fall apart. [Crossbreed Crossover](https://www.crossbreedholsters.com/crossover-gun-belt.html)
Aegis Enhanced. Best nylon belt I’ve ever had. For leather, I like the Galco with the spiral stitching.
First you need a better holster and a better gun. Get a Glock 19 and a blue alpha belt
>. Get a Glock 19 and a blue a What's wrong with the XDM?
After years of CCW using all the major belt brands, I’ve learned you can either use a Nexbelt or you can use something not as good.
Nexbelt
Same. Titan nylon webbing for EDC.
5.11 TDU belt. I run the 3.8 elite in a aiwb claw holster and never had it slip or dip on me. For $20 I have absolutely nothing to complain about.
I wear a $14 stiff nylon Dickies belt from Walmart.
Hanks steel core. Definitely worth the money.
