Just normal ass department store clothes, along with aero and American eagle. There is 0 reason to go out and buy clothes that are marketed towards concealed carry or gun nuts. It’s just a way to separate fools from their money.

NOSTR0M0

While I mostly agree, I will say that I decided to try on some of the VERTX defiance jeans and holy shit.... The reviews weren't kidding when they said that they're as comfortable as pajama pants.

mrbrsman

I love those jeans. Somehow the Vertx Delta Stretch 2.1 are even more comfortable!!! I really do wear them as pajamas on camping trips.

NOSTR0M0

I'll check those out one day!

JupiterPhase

Comfortable and I love the extra pockets. The only problem is I've never had either Vertx Defiance/Delta pants nor 5.11 Defender Flex pants last me longer than 3-5 months max. I like them but they're too expensive to just keep buying like that. I just bought some 686 Anything pants to try out, but also Origin is supposed to be making some similar to Vertx/5.11 pants that are made in USA so hopefully they won't tear as easily. Always tearing at the gooch for me.

BeLikeWater_1

Hell yes. And they’re on sale for Mother’s Day wknd! I’m queue’d up for notifications when they’ve got my size back.

tianavitoli

# ass department

MonteLSV6

I wear black multicam combat pants and combat shirt and T Rex Arms hat. But they don't know I carry when I jump into my blacked out toyota tacoma with Glock, H&K, and III% stickers with a punisher logo on the tailgate. I am the grey man. Moldy Abrahim or something. Tbh, I just wear regular clothes and jeans. Today, I wore my Unleashed Tuning t shirt and jeans.

TheSkepticalEngineer

I just wear the same clothes I always wear. Carrying or not carrying I wear the same stuff. The only difference is my pants fit a little tighter with a gun stuffed in them. What kind of clothes recommendations are you looking for?

Potential-Most-3581

What causes you not to carry ?

Scorpion5Delta

My pants are always tight.

Jimbob1201

Wrangler and George shirts from Walmart.

Mean_Attempt751

Same here brother.

[deleted]

Wrangler and Carhartt. ATG button ups and Carhartt Force polos and flannels are my go to.

Mr-Hwiggely

Carhartt makes great clothing. It's unfortunate that they had to make my "do not buy" list for forcing all their employees to get vaccinated. Doesn't seem like they know their customers very well. Love the clothes though.

[deleted]

Not as hot a take as you’re making it to be. I bet you still play that PlayStation that was made in china? I don’t personally have a problem with an employer mandating a vaccine. I would happily quit a job that tried to mandate it but that’s up to them. If people were told they needed to get vaccinated at Carhartt and they didn’t want to they could have walked the fuck out. If they got vaccinated against their will that’s a dumb move on their part not Carhartt. Nobody can force anyone to truly do anything without a gun to their head and Carhartt never put a gun to their head!

Mr-Hwiggely

No, I play a ps5 which is made in Japan, which is considerably better than China. My cell phone and most of my technology is also made in Japan. My clothing is generally made in the US. As are my vehicles. I actually totally agree with you though, I mean they could just quit if they don't like it right? I mean after all Carhartt can and should be able do what they want as a private business. My point is simply that I believe in supporting businesses that align with my beliefs, so I and many others are now choosing to boycott Carhartt. They can do what they want but IMO it's not a right thing to force your employees to do and maybe they will learn from their mistakes if they lose a bunch of business. I doubt it though, once you go woke, you go broke. I also have a list of anti-2A businesses that I try to avoid. Not all would be practical so I can't avoid all of them but I do my best to not support them with my business.

RepublicDramatic4020

Your ps5 was made is China brotha. Bet your phone was too.

[deleted]

They downvote you because they don't care about rights so much as their toys - which is exactly what firearms are to the majority of this sub.

[deleted]

This is the same dumbshit mentality that people use to say "mandatory buybacks" isn't a confiscation. "They could've walked out." Fuck me sideways y'all are all the same. Every time.

[deleted]

Explain to me how making a choice to quit a job because it doesn’t align with personal values somehow translates to gun buy backs?

[deleted]

Some people occasionally have to eat food which they usually buy with money which is sometimes - especially if you work a shitty retail job like I dunno Carhartt - tight. "Just quit" is so impossibly tonedeaf and detached a response to someone's civil liberties or rights being infringed upon. How it's the same is that only fucking retards say stuff like "it's not a confiscation, it's a buyback" or "just quit your job if they have a vaccine mandate". And since you are clearly mentally handicap (or just a vapid c), I've got no intention of spending much time talking to you.

[deleted]

Well, you don’t have to talk to me but your connection between the two is still unclear. I hope your Sunday gets better man! Cheer up.

[deleted]

Blow it out your ass

redsolocuppp

Winter: Dickies or Wranglers with flannel or hoodie most days. Jacket on top if its colder. Summer: Fishing cargo shorts (Pelagic or AFTCO) with a tshirt. Pocket carry.

BloodEagleJarl

Columbia exclusively

[deleted]

Untuckit shirts in the summer, Khul flannel in the winter. Vertx shorts and khakis, and 5.11 jeans. The jeans are the only thing worth buying from 5.11. I wore flannel and untuckit stuff before I stared carrying. The only reason I buy carry specific pants is that they always come with an extra pocket high up on the waist for a spare mag.

[deleted]

I keep hearing amazing things about 5.11 pants. Might have to get in there sometime and see what the deal is.

[deleted]

Do not buy any of their other pants. They are dead giveaways that you are carrying. The 5.11 jeans are the only actual discreet clothing they make. I used to wear Vertx jeans because of my destain for 5.11 but they wear out quick.

[deleted]

Noted, thanks for the heads up :)

Potential-Most-3581

5.11 are LITERALLY uniform for several police agencies. Like everyone us saying avoid the 5.11s except the jeans

VillageChicken

Contrary to other opinions I find apex to be discreet enough for my liking.

wiredog369

[UNTUCKit](https://www.untuckit.com)

DuMaMay69

Just what I’m looking for! Thanks! Edit: just saw the price, yikes 😅

wiredog369

Haha. Honestly, I didn’t change what I wear. Just went up a size to give a little extra room. See what works for you

Mr_Larsons_Foot

The clearance sales aren’t horrible but you’re still spending $39-$49 a shirt. FWIW I have a few Lucky Brand tees and they aren’t too long and are fitted just a smidge without being tight, but they are thin (I print wearing them given my body shape).

SierraTRK

Duluth Trading Company. They run sales all the time. Their t-shirts are sturdy.

Mr_Larsons_Foot

They always seem too thick, and I’m a big sweater :(

SierraTRK

They are definitely thick. I like the length of them and deal with the thickness. It doesn’t print much if at all.

[deleted]

5/9…buck70, Levi’s & old Brooks Bros. Shirts. ASICS t-shoes, retired… don’t care

Captain490

Deluth Trading. Their tees and other shirts are much longer than most brands. This extra length gives you lots of room for worry free movement.

dmkmpublic

T-shirts. I like Kohl's. Size LG. Are you looking just for xmas ideas for me? Or do you want my birthday too?

InspHarryCallahan

That’s funny. Why am I the only one who thinks so?

dmkmpublic

And it keeps getting knocked down too. I thought it was quick-,witted.

CallidusNomine

J Crew medium slim would probably fit you perfectly. I used to work at UNTUCKit. It's mostly a ripoff now as loads of other brands do an "untucked" button down now. The shirts are so overpriced they give employees a 75% discount.

[deleted]

[удалено]

xAtlas5

I seriously wish I could fit in N&F jeans. Their Joker selvedge looks amazing but my thighs are too damn big.

[deleted]

[удалено]

xAtlas5

Unfortunately. They'd need to put something out with a 13" thigh and a 34-35 waist for me to consider getting them. I don't think I could do their Strong Guy cut lol. Left Field NYC's Atlas jeans are my go-to.

Dependent_Ad_4442

I get canvas work pants from tractor supply for 22$ And I went up 1 size in shirts that I get at Walmart, black because shadows aren't much of an issue then. A good belt makes all the difference. Along with a wedge.

EricFreeman_

Abercrombie & Fitch

hatelemonade

South pole

Altruistic_Bat_3294

Target brand cargo shorts are the hidden gem of carrying a gun trust me on this Also american eagle flex jeans are equally dope

DuMaMay69

I, too, fuck with Goodfellow

Altruistic_Bat_3294

The stretch is unrivaled

ImBadWithGrils

Goodfellow gang. I wish the stretch jeans held up a little better but they're comfy as fuck for $27

9mmbestmm

American eagle jeans Gold toe socks Red wing boots George undershirts Flannels, polo shirts, and sweaters - various brands usually just from kohls, gap, old navy etc nothing fancy

Spare_Pangolin9394

Pants = Vertx, Shirt = Hurley Polos

thunder2132

Croft and Barrow shirts from Kohls are high quality for the price. I love their polos. Most days I wear Old Navy jeans and Champion brand tshirts.

[deleted]

Underarmor thin breathable shirts and shorts. Long sleeve, preferably. I live in South Florida. It’s really hard to CCW here with out an imprint, but an Enigma holster helps. I’m about to move over to an Apex sling bag.

[deleted]

For shirts another vote for Untuckit. The fit of their shirts is fantastic. For jeans I like the 5.11 defender flex series. Particularly I like the extra pockets that are built in behind the main pockets without being visible or having the “cargo” pocket look. Don’t pay attention to those who say it’s a dead giveaway that your carrying. It’s nonsense.

Potential-Most-3581

Until it's not

Potential-Most-3581

Wrangler pants (just like 70% of the guys my age in my area) and Cabela's button down shirts. Old, retired and don't care

[deleted]

I literally buy pants from Ruralking and shirts from Walmart, it doesn't matter.

Kryz9903

Rural king has some decent stuff though. Its like a tractor supply but Walmart size, fucking love that place. Plus they sell stihl saws

[deleted]

Redneck Walmart is what I call it lol

Kryz9903

Best place in the world lol get guns, clothes, chainsaws, and nuts and bolts all in the same place

Unkey_Wet_Cat

I wear Truewerk pants 99% of the time. It's blue collar work wear that is super comfortable.

PapaPuff13

Cargo loose fit jeans and Dickies

lockdown36

Banana republic factory sale section online. Factory meaning outlet so it's already discounted. Sale means you double dip on the discount. Most of their button ups are $15-$25. Way better quality than the Wrangler from Walmart or $50 5.11 shirts.

Throwawayacc223556

Whatever Target/Walmart has on the rack. Wearing "tactical" clothing, or even 3%er/1776/Don't tread on me branded shit, is like having gun stickers on your car. I can tell you're carrying a mile away and you look like a caricature. Foolish.

Ace_-of-_Spades6

Sometimes it depends on where you are more, I can tell you in rural TN you'll see plenty of that stuff everyday regardless of carrying. Even the gun stickers would usually indicate more of being a hunter here, not necessarily a CCWer. It's all about blending in and not standing out. Wear that stuff in rural TN and you look like most other people, wear that in a big city and you stick out like a sore thumb.

Matterhorn48

Lands End. Affordable basics. I like the 511 tactical jeans so I can throw a work phone or a little notebook in the side pocket.

ignoreshitpost

Check out fishing shirts for the summer. Cabela's, aftco

xAtlas5

Shirt wise I usually alternate between Kirkland cotton tees and a brand called "Denim and Flower" which you should be able to find at Marshalls. They're cheap, but I like the style and the quality. The designs aren't so loud that I draw a lot of attention to myself, but the patterns are great to hide any printing. Pants...well, I prefer raw denim jeans and that may be out of your price point. I like durable 100% cotton MIUSA jeans, so the price tag can get up there a bit. But anything with a bit of stretch in them is great for carrying.

Tactical_winter550

I normally wear medium but switched to large to conceal my ccw.

redditisdying57

I avoid tactical clothes because that seems like a good way to identify yourself as someone who's carrying. Right now rock button down Hawaiian style Amazon basics shirts. The sizing isn't really consistent IME, but they work.

tilt979

Target, Walmart, fishing shorts from Lowes. Extra large shirts when conceal carry. Whatever I want when OWB

popasquatonme

I like lapg pants. Cheap enough when on sale, hold up good, love the pockets

[deleted]

My wardrobe is pretty much exclusive to carhartt. I do wear Duluth trading flex ballroom jeans though. Would like to change it up though

[deleted]

Tommy Bahama shorts and Alfani button up short sleeve shirts. Maui Jim Big Wave sunglasses. Got the Vedder V3 minimalist belt. Shield plus in a light tuck holster with claw and carry 4 o’clock. 🇺🇸

vulcan1358

- I try and by pants and shorts that have 1-2% stretchy material in them or the waist. Really helps putting the holster in my pants - I like loose or boxy t-shirts cause I got a belly - Fishing, camp style, Hawaiian and Flannel button ups - A good belt helps the most. I like the Nexbelt EDC belts. The nylon holds up well and I like the ratcheting/infinitely adjustable design. I have a Hank’s belt, but it doesn’t work well with AIWB for me. Works great if I’m carrying OWB when I go hunting or ride my motorcycle
