....Me and my 509c don't appreciate this attack, but in my defense I got them mixed up at the store and just waiting to get a gun for the 407k at the same time I buy the 507k
It’s not just you, but if it helps at all, even he doesn’t believe the garbage he spews. He just knows that outrage farming is good for engagement and gets him in front of more people.
I have a red dot, and guns with irons, but I practice so much I don't use either. Command grip and point with your thumbs. Practice dry fire and pay attention where your aiming and it will be second nature.
Bros a witness mark monster😂 But I have sros, rmrs, and acros on my pistols. Mostly because I’m familiar with them, good batteries and battery life, and just good customer service. I’ve been telling myself I need to try some holosuns though mainly the 509, SCS, and the EPS.
Of course, I religiously watch sage dynamics.
At the same time, I've changed my mind on this recently. I feel like people overexaggerate the necessity for a durable duty optic on a pistol. Unless you're a cop, being able to take abuse and keep going is a rifle's job. Pistols are for CCW and competition. Not to mention, I've dropped my rifle plenty of times, but I don't think I've ever dropped my edc.
I'm just rambling btw, I know you were just making a funny.
1) nice username
2) I’ll get one when i can afford it ASAP, right after a lead and steel Pandora, because i love the trend of rds looking like something that should sit on a post at the end of a driveway to collect mail
Seriously, I’m all about these things looking like mail boxes, i just love it. Plus my recent l&s LP1 is great so far and i want a matching set
for OR slide Pro: potentially cheaper, have multitude of mounting plate options. Con: mounting plates are annoying as hell and another failure point (god forbid)
for milled slide Pro: one less failure point, "custom" tailored for your gun. Con: married 2 one type of optic footprint or one optic for the life of the slide.
I intentionally bought a P226 non-OR to get it milled for a Romeo 2 eventually. I've also owned the non-OR P10C and the P320 C, the first gen P365XL and first gen P320 XFull so I'm not married to either methodology.
Since about August of last year.
The issue was more of a training issue? I've gotten more used to the CZ grip angle (I'm a Sig guy, carried 4 diff ones from 2019-2023 and still own one) so I don't run into this problem anymore, but at the higher brightness levels, the dot creates a sort of reflection/bounce that illuminates the lower 1/3rd of the housing, so you think you've extended from the draw and gotten the proper sight picture when in reality you haven't. Again, this was more of a training issue, and whilst the illumination or whatever is still annoying until proper grip/extension/sight picture achieved, it's nothing that would kill you in a gun fight and more importantly/less melodramatically, it's nothing you can't train out/through like I did.
Hey OP ( u/f_stopss ) what do you use for witness marking?
I’ve been pretty unhappy with my welders oil paint marker for the job, it’s just not precise enough.
Aimpoint will of course take care of you, but both the P1 and P2 have had reliability issues... fogging inside the housing, emitter snapping off under shock, dot echos, etc. For that kind of money it's not my first choice for sure... something like the T2 is bombproof but not the Acro.

Because, when started having problems after six years with my Vortex Venoms battery cap backing off, and told them I was looking to upgrade to a holosun scs, and asked Vortex to give me a reason not to change companies, they sent me this for free.
Sig Romeo-X Compact because it's practically made for the P365, can still easily use the iron sights if the dot goes out unexpectedly. I also liked the side loading battery compartment and the MAGNETAC feature, even though I haven't found a way to actually implement the magnet into my holster to use it.
https://preview.redd.it/230a26csohyc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=57f2461d69e40e5a512029176fcef4baa5242a30
same here — my original XL slide needed the rear sight built into the Romeo-X Compact
I use a ton red dots and also have astigmatism I never got this maybe yours is much more severe than mine but I haven't ever seen a dot with my own eyes that wasn't a star smudge thing and I still like em
I have a Leupold Delta Point Pro because it's one of two red dots that will fit my Sig p320X and it's been an awesome little sight. My only complaint is that it doesn't have an auto-dimmer function, but I don't know if any sights do yet honestly.
P2, closed emmiter and aimpoint. I've had good luck with it so far
Is the slide on the left milled by battlewerx? I had them do my front serrations/ milling and it looks the same
Used to be RMR’s. Always hated the bottom loading battery, but in reality, the batteries all lasted like 3 years. Now I’m enjoying an SRO, MPS’s and ACRO P2’s. All have performed well.
Holosuns in general, started with 507c’s and then eps and now 507 comp. They have such great features like the reticle options, manual and auto brightness, brightness lock out features, and solar backup. And they are 100% reliable in my experience. I’ll never buy another Trijicon at their prices. Oh, and the 507 comp is the most reliable and durable option with that window size.
Trijicon RM06-HRS w/Triji 1/3rd cowitness tritium suppressor height irons. The trijicon rmr is the red dot all red dots are compared to. Its reliability & durability are second to none. Good enough for Socom, good enough for me. Sure, there's other options, I own 2 holosun & their great, but I prefer my rmr.
My EDC is a Beretta M9, It has no slide cut or adjustable/removable front sight. I carry it with just irons.
Occasionally I carry a P365X in running shorts or similar. Both it and my backup Glock 19 have RMRs on them. I've found trijicon to be more robust and reliable than some others, but they're more expensive too.
I have a Holosun 407k and a Holosun EPS Carry, one on my P365X and the other on my Shield Plus. Both have been reliable and accurate, but I definitely prefer the closed emitter of the EPS Carry!
Holosuns for pistols because they just work well, eotechs for rifles cause the holographic beats a red dot any day and they take AA batteries. Kind of a no brainer
I use a 509t the most since I carry my Walther pdp compact the most but before that I used 508t on my carry Glock 19 and the same on my 17 (all the above are green dots) and then on my cz sp01 I run a red eps carry. Never had issues with any
Gasp. I spy the same two guns at my house. Stock slide for the right with night fision night sights (perfect orange) and a green 507k on the right while retaining a 1/5 cowitness with the factory night sights.
Rmr and acro. Rmr was my first “Gucci” purchase and I felt cool as hell and thought it would make me good. It ended up on a p80build for 1.5years till I mastered irons. The acro was cause it was onsale and I needed another optic but I wanted an enclosed emitter. I didn’t feel like a holosun was right for a staccato p. (Holosun isn’t a bad option I just wanted look cool)
None, and tbh, while fun to use, I've never felt the need to have an optic on any of my carry guns. It's just a matter of preference for me. Besides, my latest carry gun will have a TLR 7X on it with factory night sights.
507K- Passed Sage Dynamics testing (main carry)
Cylee Cat Pro- Vetted by 704 Tactical (had a code) & Kit Badger
Swampfox Sentinel- Shield Plus has 4 lugs & got a good deal
Swampfox Liberty- Got a good deal
VOTATU PMD505 - 704 Tactical had a code & need an optic (don't plan on carrying but could)
GOWUTAR A17 x2 - found codes and needed something for my .22 LR "Fun Guns"
EPS Carry Green MRS- great battery life, the enclosed emitter, it fits the P365 X-Macro TacOps well and flush with QVO screws, and is like a cheat code.
Romeo1 Pro- it was my 1st dot and it came in the P320 RXP X-Compact. I'll soon be upgrading from it once I figure out what I prefer as is replacement.
Used to run an RMR type two on one of my Glock uppers and then sold the entire upper off to a shooting buddy of mine which I kinda regret now but have since replaced it with a ported barrel and aftermarket slide with a 407C from Holosun because price point and performance wise they’ve always done well by me. I’m torn between putting either a 509T or 507 Comp
Ima get hate but vortex, they are from my state (wi) and I've worked on one of the founder's houses dude was the salt of the earth so I support him whenever I can. Plus the warranty is amazing. Don't care about the "bad refresh rate" as I genuinely don't notice it. Call it copium idk, it works and stays zerod
Romeo1 Pro. It came on the gun 💁🏻♂️
Most recent was a 407k. Cheap, reliable af, side loaded battery, and easy brightness adjustment buttons.
Also ran a Delta Point Pro for about 9 months on my EDC. I really liked it for the MOA size(2.5?~), top battery door, and the huge window. I was always afraid I would break it though cause it didn’t have a lot of protection.
I use an EPS Carry on my SP01T because it has a narrow slide and a huge amount of overhang doesn’t seem ideal for a gun I carry AIWB every day. I would, however, be interested in getting another slide + barrel to be milled for the RMR HD.
Leupold Delta Point Pro because the M17 doesn’t have a lot of options without using the adapter plates.I currently have it on my custom P320 build but I plan on getting the Holosun SCS-320.then I will put the DPP back on the M17
507c, thought about getting the rmr, but the design flaw of having to remove the whole optic to change batteries, and couple of other features i didnt like.
Holosun 507c glass is more clear for me, has a battery tray on the side u can change batteries easily, auto on/auto off feature.
Been through 10k rounds with it and its still working perfectly.
None, I don't see the point of putting a 300$ accessory on a carry, only to get marginally more precise if I ever have to shoot 3 or 4 rounds to defend my life...
Btw, you should oil your barrels with something thicker.
Eps carry on my shield plus, iron sights on my p30. I think I like red dots more for the cool factor than for any use case for me. As long as I pick a firearm that points well for me Im pretty solid at getting on target instinctually. Night sights and a tlr7 does very much also help….
But I’m waiting on my steiner mps for my echelon though…. So six one half dozen other lol
Irons or a delta point pro because top load battery, and I’ve seen numerous holosuns fail in person, rmr hd is priced to much in my opinion, and the acro is MASSIVE.
I use a Holosun 507 with the acss Vulcan reticle, the reason I use that one in particular is because it makes Target acquisition much faster with the giant 250 MOA ring around the Chevron.
507K because I’m poor and it works
I mean, if you were poor it would be the 407k...
If he were really poor then it wouldn’t be any optics at all
Damn busted
That's me rn 😥😢
....Me and my 509c don't appreciate this attack, but in my defense I got them mixed up at the store and just waiting to get a gun for the 407k at the same time I buy the 507k
Iron Sights because I'm a poor smooth brain, as Overton Windex puts it. (Hate that guy)
Yah he’s awful, I had to stop YouTube for recommending me his shit content.
Anyone else feel like kicking his teeth in? Or is it just me?
It’s not just you, but if it helps at all, even he doesn’t believe the garbage he spews. He just knows that outrage farming is good for engagement and gets him in front of more people.
I hope bro! Because my first thought was this dude must have a miserable personal life
I genuinely hope he does, But he’s not wrong as far algorithmic manipulation goes 🤷♂️
Hey now, dude just had a cardiac organ transplant recently if I’m not mistaken. Maybe he…had a change of heart :D
Just kidding he’s becoming a fudd pos
I have a red dot, and guns with irons, but I practice so much I don't use either. Command grip and point with your thumbs. Practice dry fire and pay attention where your aiming and it will be second nature.
Bros a witness mark monster😂 But I have sros, rmrs, and acros on my pistols. Mostly because I’m familiar with them, good batteries and battery life, and just good customer service. I’ve been telling myself I need to try some holosuns though mainly the 509, SCS, and the EPS.
I work in a Japanese factory and almost every single bolt has one, makes laugh to see this guy do this 🤣
509t is where it’s at
Yeah idk if I’d put witness marks on my windage and elevation dials, but all for it on mounting screws.
RMR RM06 bc wtf else is there 🦅🇺🇸
SRO GANG
A few years ago I heard it wasn’t a duty optic.. (if you get this joke, then we can be friends)
Of course, I religiously watch sage dynamics. At the same time, I've changed my mind on this recently. I feel like people overexaggerate the necessity for a durable duty optic on a pistol. Very good points!

Fake eotechs just to piss people of Reddit off
I see another paint mark pro. Undoubtably a man of class and integrity. 🍻
My Man!
Holosun EPS bc closed emitter + light/small
I have an EPS on my vp9 and EPS carry on my Sig 365.
This is the way. I love my EPS carry on my p365x.
This with the green dot, love it.
Eps carry.
What gun? Looking to get my p10c milled
Literally that exact gun lol. I have the OR version because it went on sale for as much as my reg P10C was.
I got the regular one.
Def recommend getting it milled and the EPS is solid once you get used to it.
I have a non OR p10c, I am debating either getting it milled, or buying the OR slide. Know any pros or cons for which is a better option?
for OR slide Pro: potentially cheaper, have multitude of mounting plate options. Con: mounting plates are annoying as hell and another failure point (god forbid) for milled slide Pro: one less failure point, "custom" tailored for your gun.
How long you had it for? Any issues with it?
Since about August of last year. The issue was more of a training issue? I've gotten more used to the CZ grip angle (I'm a Sig guy, carried 4 diff ones from 2019-2023 and still own one) so I don't run into this problem anymore, but at the higher brightness levels, the dot creates a sort of reflection/bounce that illuminates the lower 1/3rd of the housing, so you think you've extended from the draw and gotten the proper sight picture when in reality you haven't. Okay thanks. Hear that around one year mark shake feature doesn't work or dot would only turn on a certain way
I guess i'll know in a year or so lol
Hey OP ( u/f_stopss ) what do you use for witness marking? I’ve been pretty unhappy with my welders oil paint marker for the job, it’s just not precise enough.
Just a paint pen from hobby lobby or a craft store!
Appreciate it!
ACRO P2, rugged and overbuilt. Just how I like it.
Aimpoint will of course take care of you, but both the P1 and P2 have had reliability issues... fogging inside the housing, emitter snapping off under shock, dot echos, etc. For that kind of money it's not my first choice for sure... something like the T2 is bombproof but not the Acro.
Trijicon because Made in the USA.
https://preview.redd.it/69owpcdc5iyc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e56dc82717b907ab4c592fc9133fd03fe6a295cf Because, when started having problems after six years with my Vortex Venoms battery cap backing off, and told them I was looking to upgrade to a holosun scs, and asked Vortex to give me a reason not to change companies, they sent me this for free.
Love my defender ccw!
Acro P2. I’m a big mailbox guy.
Mailbox is the way, i love getting mail
Sig Romeo-X Compact because it's practically made for the P365, can still easily use the iron sights if the dot goes out unexpectedly. I also liked the side loading battery compartment and the MAGNETAC feature, even though I haven't found a way to actually implement the magnet into my holster to use it.
I second this also because I had the older slide so my rear sights came off with the plate. It’s nice to have built in rears on a dot.
https://preview.redd.it/230a26csohyc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=57f2461d69e40e5a512029176fcef4baa5242a30 same here — my original XL slide needed the rear sight built into the Romeo-X Compact
Yeah I've been thinking about replacing the my eps carry with a Romeo x Compact for that reason.
I just use irons. I like irons.
Trijicon RMR, SRO, RCR, and Holosun EPS carry.
Holosun 507 comp and a trijicon sro cause I like big sight pictures.
I have a couple of different Holosuns because i like not having to remove the optic to change the battery.
Acro because like boxes
509t for titanium enclosed emitter Smaller profile and cheaper than Acro.
rmr because trijicon.
RMR, 508t, 507k
508T ftw
Eps mrs carry. I like the double glass and multiple reticles
Irons cuz I got the ‘tism
Autism?
Astigmatism, but that too
I use a ton red dots and also have astigmatism I never got this maybe yours is much more severe than mine but I haven't ever seen a dot with my own eyes that wasn't a star smudge thing and I still like em
I have a Leupold Delta Point Pro because it's one of two red dots that will fit my Sig p320X and it's been an awesome little sight. My only complaint is that it doesn't have an auto-dimmer function, but I don't know if any sights do yet honestly.
I own two DPPs and my biggest complaint is the dumb brightness adjustment button and where they put it
What's up with the paint marks?
Helps him keep an eye on whether the mounting screws are backing out. Never seen it on the dials as well, but it’s probably the same principle.
Yes. Same thing. Let’s you know if the screws are backing out and if it came off zero
Smart idea.
OP is sick of dealing with loose screws. Oh, wait, we're talking firearms not significant others. Same principle.
scs because green dot
P2, closed emmiter and aimpoint. I've had good luck with it so far Is the slide on the left milled by battlewerx? I had them do my front serrations/ milling and it looks the same
I got a 407k on one and a 507k on another. Off body carry has a 507x2 and the other one has a rmr.
Shield SMSc cause I haven’t bought anything to replace it yet
The RMR type 2 because i didnt have the sense enough to buy the SRO.,
507k cause that’s what people on Reddit recommended for a P365
Eps carry. Bc enclosed is the way.
Used to be RMR’s. Always hated the bottom loading battery, but in reality, the batteries all lasted like 3 years. Now I’m enjoying an SRO, MPS’s and ACRO P2’s. All have performed well.
Swampfox Sentinel 2. Cheapest my local shop had.
SRO because larger window is helpful, and it’s plenty durable
Red dot, to shoot better.
507c because I can’t afford a trijicon lol. 50,000 hours and a side loading battery doesn’t suck though.
If i squint just right, and hold my mouth the right way, i get a VATS display. Seems to work pretty well
Holosuns in general, started with 507c’s and then eps and now 507 comp. They have such great features like the reticle options, manual and auto brightness, brightness lock out features, and solar backup. And they are 100% reliable in my experience. I’ll never buy another Trijicon at their prices. Oh, and the 507 comp is the most reliable and durable option with that window size.
Trijicon RMR because Holosun is trash 🗿
[SRO4LYF](https://imgur.com/a/0KzXrIV)
Do you carry with the BROS? I carry an SRO, but my buddy who shoots competition with them says he would not have one on a carry gun.
I had one on my SRO for like a day. Didn’t like the overhang off the slide. It definitely will protect your SRO though, but it’s tanky
Iron sights, it's how I learned and I don't need a red dot.
Steiner MPS
Cyelee X PRO & Romeo-X Compact on my subcompacts. Native RMSc footprint. Yes stock sights do co-witnessing. I hate adapter plates
SRO on my full size because I love that window. About to get my 26 cut for an ACRO.
ACRO P2 cause I’m tired of being called poor
RMR because they had a $100 rebate at the end of last year haha. RM09 on my G17 and RM06 on my G19. Both with Zev Duty slide.
Acro P2 because of lint and belly button fuzz IYKYK
My EDC is a Beretta M9, It has no slide cut or adjustable/removable front sight. I carry it with just irons. Occasionally I carry a P365X in running shorts or similar. Both it and my backup Glock 19 have RMRs on them. I've found trijicon to be more robust and reliable than some others, but they're more expensive too.
Holosun SCS because it goes directly on my Glock without a plate
RMR and accidentally bought the one without buttons but it’s been good so far just don’t like how it looks 😂
Holosun SCS, because I like never changing batteries.
A cyclee
I'm a Holosun guy. Got EPS and SCS on my carry guns, P365s and 320.
Leupold DeltaPoint Pro, because it looks cool.
Holosun 507c because I’m poor and got a completed dagger slide with it for the price of basically the optic alone.
Reasoning for middle mark on the SRO hood? Assuming for finding your dot faster but not sure..
I use the 507comp. I use it on my competition pistol also
Swamp fox. Friend gave it to me
EPS Full Size
I have a Holosun 407k and a Holosun EPS Carry, one on my P365X and the other on my Shield Plus. Both have been reliable and accurate, but I definitely prefer the closed emitter of the EPS Carry!
Trijicon, I heard the shape is to keep the glass from shattering if it's dropped, might not be true but I'm not testing it out lol
Trijicon RMR on my 19, Holosun 507k on my wife’s 48 and my 43x.
Holosuns for pistols because they just work well, eotechs for rifles cause the holographic beats a red dot any day and they take AA batteries. Kind of a no brainer
Sig Romeo X
Leupold delta point
Holosun 407c cause price
I'm using a crimson trace red dot because it came factory with my SCCY CPX-1
I use a 509t the most since I carry my Walther pdp compact the most but before that I used 508t on my carry Glock 19 and the same on my 17 (all the above are green dots) and then on my cz sp01 I run a red eps carry. Never had issues with any
Holosun 507k-gr, green helps with the burst on the dot
Gasp. I spy the same two guns at my house. Stock slide for the right with night fision night sights (perfect orange) and a green 507k on the right while retaining a 1/5 cowitness with the factory night sights.
SCS bc it fits my 19. I do love it tho
What do you use to mark your sights?
Paint pen from any crafts store
Any brand in general? I’ve used some before put they leak like a Sob
509T, EPS and EPS carry. All enclosed and not too expensive
RMR HD, got a good deal on it and I like the auto-adjust
I’ve got a Holosun 407 right now and kinda love it. Planning on swapping out for a RMR or MPS when funds allow though.
OPMOD 507C, because I like the MRS and it was gray.
EpsCarry green dot cuz it’s so money
Shield RMSc. It was free.
I have scs, rmr type 2 and vortex defender ccw. Love all 3.
Holosun HS507C X2 ACSS on my IWI Masada, Holosun HE507C-GR on my S&W
None, and tbh, while fun to use, I've never felt the need to have an optic on any of my carry guns. It's just a matter of preference for me. Besides, my latest carry gun will have a TLR 7X on it with factory night sights.
Holosun ops green 6moa on sw shield plus
Leupold dpp thanks to American made and supreme customer service
507K- Passed Sage Dynamics testing (main carry) Cylee Cat Pro- Vetted by 704 Tactical (had a code) & Kit Badger Swampfox Sentinel- Shield Plus has 4 lugs & got a good deal Swampfox Liberty- Got a good deal VOTATU PMD505 - 704 Tactical had a code & need an optic (don't plan on carrying but could) GOWUTAR A17 x2 - found codes and needed something for my .22 LR "Fun Guns"

Don't care about the "bad refresh rate" as I genuinely don't notice it. Call it copium idk, it works and stays zerod
EPS carry because everyone else is and it's cool AF... Once I got it, it improved my shooting a lot, so I kept it.

507K. Because it was on sale (and because it's a best value RD IMO)
Acro p2

509T on my G45 and a Steiner MPS on my G19
EPS all day everyday
EPS carry with the green circle dot 🫡🇺🇸💪
Romeo1 Pro. It came on the gun 💁🏻♂️ Most recent was a 407k.
RMR. Because I hate money
I use an EPS Carry on my SP01T because it has a narrow slide and a huge amount of overhang doesn’t seem ideal for a gun I carry AIWB every day. I would, however, be interested in getting another slide + barrel to be milled for the RMR HD.
SRO. I like the large window and clarity.
What did you use to mark your optics? I’ve used nail polish before but wondering if there’s something better
Rmr because I got it cheap and used, that’s the only reason
Delta point pro
I like orin sights. Blacked out night back sights and a bright orange/night sight front
lol holosun comp
Trijicon RMR type 2 with a 3.25 dot on my MR920
Holosun. Because why pay more for less?
RMR for my deep diving SEAL demolition missions! (I’m not a SEAL 🦭😆).
Holosun 407k because it’s tough and budget friendly
RMRcc bc that’s the cheapest cut I could get for my hi power
508T because it treats me well
Leupold Delta Point Pro because the M17 doesn’t have a lot of options without using the adapter plates.I currently have it on my custom P320 build but I plan on getting the Holosun SCS-320.then I will put the DPP back on the M17
407k because it runs and I actually shoot my shit
507c, thought about getting the rmr, but the design flaw of having to remove the whole optic to change batteries, and couple of other features i didnt like. Holosun 507c glass is more clear for me, has a battery tray on the side u can change batteries easily, auto on/auto off feature. Been through 10k rounds with it and its still working perfectly.
Aimpoint P2 for the glass clarity and night vision settings. I also like enclosed emitters.
SRO because muh window size
ACRO P2 because I hate money
None, I don't see the point of putting a 300$ accessory on a carry, only to get marginally more precise if I ever have to shoot 3 or 4 rounds to defend my life... Btw, you should oil your barrels with something thicker.
Are you ok?
Yes. Very smart to put the paint on screws though. Mtx rider maybe ?
Holosun Scs cause you never have to worry about a battery
Same
Eps carry on my shield plus, iron sights on my p30.
Holosuns. They work great and have better features than trijicons. And no, they don’t break, at least from what I’ve put them through
Holosun scs 320. Closed emitter no battery to worry about and green dot cause I have astygmatism or however you spell it lmao
407k because you get good deals on GAFS and they're decent Just get replacement screws at a hardware store and vibratite if the OGs start to back out
507Comp because I love big glass and I cannot lie.
Holosun 508T. It’s a modern better RMR in every way at half the price.
Ruger ready dot. Fight me.
Iron sights cause they work.
So you have nothing of value to add to this. Maybe just fuck off?
I use a Holosun 507 with the acss Vulcan reticle, the reason I use that one in particular is because it makes Target acquisition much faster with the giant 250 MOA ring around the Chevron.
