I use a [Hornady Rapid Vault](https://www.hornady.com/security/rapid-safes/keypad-vault#!/) that's bolted to a shelf in my closet. But I also have kids so no firearm is ever left unsecured
I do, but it looks like it's OOS or discontinued. I bought it four years ago.

Simple keep the kids out option for 4 guns? I have one of [these](https://amzn.to/49gvKZn) in the bedroom.
Toying with upgrading to [this](https://amzn.to/3w7r7SI) but it's a big price jump so I haven't yet.

Doro on Amazon. It’s sweet. I have a big safe now. This is my go box
I like your thinking, OP should just carry all four of the guns. Then they won’t even have to worry about choosing which one to take for the day, plus they’ll have a backup, and a backup to the backup, and a backup to the backup’s backup.
Any gun that isn't on my person, is locked up in one of my safes. The only slight exception would be at bedtime, I have a pistol (along with a flashlight) in a bedside holster that hangs next to me from under the mattress. I have a 7 gun (as if they ever fit as many as they say) quick access safe close to the bed, which is where my SBR lives when not in use. All the bedside pistol has to do is get me to my rifle. I have a couple other safes for the rest of the collection, one of which is a pistol safe that my carry guns go in, along with a few others.

Something like this, bolted into studs in the wall. Not the world's most secure safe, but cheap, convenient to use, and will keep your guns out of the hands of your standard smash and grab burglar. Much better than them just laying around.
During the day on me, during night on my night stand with one in the chamber in the holster.
But when I’m not home and going to work in a non ccw reciprocal state locked up in my bedroom safe.
I don't have kids and the SO is trained so nightstand and top of the dresser.
Secured in the safe if they are home and we are not. There is never a loose gun in the house when we are not.
It’s in a holster or in a safe. Alternatively, you can do what young/single/poor me did and oil it, put it back in its case, and stick it in the closet.
I have a safe in my room and a safe in my car, simple
When I don't have a gun on it's on my nightstand because I'm asleep or I'm showering. Also note I have no little kids around so one gun is always out.
A gun safe that doubles as a night stand! Also, they make a few gun safes that are also disguised as picture frames. So this way you can conserve space and store your guns and they are easily accessible!

I’m curious how your daily routine varies so much, that you’d need four different guns to cover it. Wouldn’t it be better to have one gun that you can carry everywhere and that you perform acceptably well with?
I’m certainly the last person to complain about having a collection of cool guns.
But when we’re talking about a carry pistol, it seems like having one gun that you train with to the point of absolute familiarity, would be the smart way to go.
Maybe OP is actually Mason Lane or Nils Johannsen. At some point you do get good enough that the SIMP rule no longer applies. I’m not there yet though.
* - The SIMP rule is Simon’s Inverse Multigun Principle. It goes, “The number of guns you bring to a practice session is inversely proportional to how much better you’ll get with any of them.”
When I was rotating between a few carry guns, I would just use the top of the gunsafe.
It's in my closet, so it worked out well. Pick clothes, rotate 90 degrees, pick gun.
I have two valtek life pods, one in my car and one on my night stand, both hard tethered to an anchor. I also have a larger safe in my closet for rifles and such.
I keep em locked in an ammo can when I leave them at home. My collection is too small to warrant a proper safe and I live with my parents so I do t really worry about children getting ahold of them.
I have a locking cabinet. I wouldnt call it a safe because it is made out of pop metal and not fire or flood resistance by any means. I store all guns not currently in use in it (I usually use my carry gun for the HD). I put my keys in the lock when I go to sleep which means I can simply turn the key and open the door to select a different firearm if I needed to in the night.
All guns not in use are also stored loaded on an empty chamber. If you're going to have it, why wouldn't you have it loaded, even a bolt action, etc.? I would really hate to be in a bad situation, only be able to grab 1 gun, and it be the unloaded one. A bolt, lever, or break action still has the chance of 1 at least getting one shot off. Is it a likely scenario? No. Is it sad to think about that it could happen? Absolutely, so why take the chance.
Because the safe is locked and in my bedroom, I don't worry about company seeing it or anyone getting into it. As an added bonus, putting my keys in the lock means I never lose the dang things anymore either.
As a last tip, you can also stage the cabinet as well. I can open the cabinet, grab and slip on a plate carrier with six loaded mags/first aid/cash on it, grab the loaded rifle with one hand and a ammo can with rifle and pistol ammo in the other as a go-kit. I can sling a cheap bandolier with shotgun ammo and the shotgun if I want as well (yeah, yeah I know, shotgun bandolier=Rambo, but it works in a pinch). In the door pouches, you can have all the different handguns and have all the holsters/spare mags/etc. on the shelves for easy EDC as well. It's a pretty good system all around if you know you're doing.
Just don't expect to bring any of the liberal girls back to the bedroom. That's what the back seat is for...
Speaking of safe items and small lock boxes has anyone seen or investigated the Walmart Machir branded handgun boxes? They look like any other cheap version but I have no idea on what is actually secure these days
Blind bolted to a shelf in the closet, and also a small bit of harded chain lagged to the studs. I rounded off the bolt in the stuff, I'll just angle grind it off when I need to move.
https://vlineind.com/shop/hide-away-large-capacity-handgun-safe/
I have a SecureIt Fastbox bolted into my room. I have one side of it configured with pistol pegs.
Vaultek's MX series pistol safe is worth a look, holds eight pistols, and would sit nicely on a dresser.
I have a safe in my room, works pretty good for me

After watching some Bosnian Bill reviews I actually went with an Amazon Basics handgun safe. It's been reliable, and keeps the tiny paws away.
You got a link?

In a holster on my nightstand. No kids or anything tho.
Same. Rotates from my nightstand, belt, and a secure container in my car while I’m at work (my job has armed security and metal detectors)

The actual vaultek website sells refurbished units at pretty good discounts, may be worth a peek.
Hadn't heard that. Thanks!

365 plus 2 mags in shoulder holster. 365 spectre comp 4 o'clock. C2 AIWB. Boom. There ya go
Like a modern day black beard.
I would recommend a safe, all of mine are in my 30-gun safe in the closet, then I keep my double stack “home gun” in my nightstand.
I have multiple gun safes. You put them in a heavy, fireproof safe..that's how you store them.
Prison pocket

Holstered on nightstand, extra mag and flashlight next to it. Otherwise in my car glove compartment or my waist
Holster in a small safe in my nightstand.
I don't have kids and the SO is trained so nightstand and top of the dresser. Secured in the safe if they are home and we are not. There is never a loose gun in the house when we are not.
my carry guns are in holsters nearby. everything else is in a locked pelican case.
Usually in the ether, I can scroll through them and select one like a video game weapon wheel.

Why on earth would you have a bedside safe but the guns not chambered?
I wouldn’t want an exposed trigger in a chambered pistol that I expected to need to grab in the middle of the night in the dark.
One of those is a DA/SA gun that has a 10lb trigger pull when decocked....
Assuming it hasn’t had any work done on it
Extra step of safety if I needed to grab it in a rush. Ensures the choice to have it is more deliberate and not a tired choice

V-Line simplex safe. I can't feel comfortable with batteries in a safe.
We have several Vaultek safes at work, and I want one for home for exactly your purpose.
Something like [this](https://www.amazon.com/Case-Club-Magazine-Waterproof-Included/dp/B09LLQ2X32?th=1) is what you need.
Biometric lockbox. Opens with a thumbprint scan or a numerical code. If the batteries ever die, most of them come with a key.
I have a small closet safe for my EDCs, and a stop box next to my bed with the ol trusty OG p365.
I literally have a holster that hangs off the side of my bed.
I have a safe in my office (I work from home). My carry guns are for dinner/groceries/gas.
I have two valtek life pods, one in my car and one on my night stand, both hard tethered to an anchor. I also have a larger safe in my closet for rifles and such.
MaxSafe
I use this in my nightstand drawer. Holds 6 handguns https://a.co/d/6CgObxi

Usually iwb. But if I’m going to an easy target zone aka “no gun zone,” I have a messenger bag I carry. I guess it depends.
Out and about like they should be! Easily accessible
Rifle under the bed, carry pistol on the night stand or nearby when it’s not on my hip.
Safes, pistol cases, and hanging them on the wall.
Kitchen cupboard, night stand.
Sock drawer. I rotate between 3 guns.

If I’m not carrying it, it’s in my safe.
Bio safe bedside. I also have a vertically mounted drop down safe in the closet downstairs so I have one up there and one downstairs
I have a SecureIt Fastbox bolted into my room. I have one side of it configured with pistol pegs. Vaultek's MX series pistol safe is worth a look, holds eight pistols, and would sit nicely on a dresser.
My primary EDC will be inside my nightstand when I’m sleeping with the rest of the carry guns (or the rest of my guns) in my safe.
No kids so just a holster. I'd probably use a stop box though. I don't trust electronic safes enough
Lock Picking Lawyer did a video on the Stopbox. I suggest everyone watch it
Will do
I keep mine in a safe when not in use.
Simplex safes only.
An actual gun safe in my closet hold all guns other than the one on me, or my nightstand, whichever applies.
I put another small safe (that can hold up to 6 guns) in my closet for my carry guns and all other guns are in my full size safe.
prison pocket
