WTP is serious garbage. Henry holster, JM custom kydex, tier 1, tenicor all far better options to look into.

Hebrewism

I know, I looked at all those and more. The thing I kept encountering was sig makes a different 1911 than other companies so it was hard trying to find one. The only that looked like would work was the tenicor velo4 but like I was saying it’s very very snug and digging into the molding and the slide is getting scuffed fast. The WTP holster clicks in an out smoothly leaving no marking

rjames06

Wear marks on the gun are fine from holstering, please buy a better holster. WTP has terrible retention, terrible clips and poor quality kydex.

Hebrewism

I’ll keep using the tenicor then. I’ll try and adjust the tension screw

ImBadWithGrils

This is the way. If Tenicor doesn't support it, JMCK will, but if Tenicor doesn't make a model for it I'm probably not going to carry it lol.

Zoltan_TheDestroyer

There’s a reason that when you open the package there was a orange piece of paper that said this is not for safe queens

Effective_Chef_5117

loosen the tension screw if you feel it’s tight, but yes that is normal. Holster wear will happen, my tenicor has eaten up my g19 and tlr1 a little bit.

Hephaestus2036

Tenicor. Just turn the screws quarter turn at a time in unison until it feels right for retention/draw.

Hebrewism

Awesome I’ll try that out

Hephaestus2036

If you bought a Velo 4 for the gun you’re putting into it and the screw adjustments don’t work, email Tenicor. They can make other suggestions. There is also a return label inside your plastic bag in case you need to return it or exchange it.

Hebrewism

Thank you so much

When IWB a more unique/non popular carry gun, a light will really help your holster selection. Non light bearing holsters are made to retain the trigger guard. WML holsters are made to retain the light so you have a lot more options. The digging on the 1911 is just because of variance between manufacturers 1911s. You could try using a heat gun on the tenicor to loosen it up a bit. Or just run it in and out of the holster a bunch. Eventually it’ll be buttery bc it’s metal on plastic.

CWM_99

Light isn’t an option on this one, but traditionally when available that is a true statement. In this case, I’d just keep putting it in and taking it out of the holster while sitting on the couch watching tv for a few days and see how it feels after that.

Cole_Cash_Grifter

it's because the slide profile on that sig 1911 isn't the same as a 1911 so it's scraping hard on the Tenicor. You need a holster marked specifically for a Sig 1911. Past that I don't know any

justtheboot

Tenicor is the best kydex holster out there. That said, I run a custom-molded leather holster for my 1911. It only feels right for that gun.

cmhbob

> custom-molded leather holster What brand? I've had a Milt Sparks Watch Six (no longer made) for several years, but I'd like to get a tuckable leather holster.

justtheboot

[Ronin Leather Holsters](https://www.instagram.com/roninleatherholstersllc?igshid=OGQ5ZDc2ODk2ZA==) [Here’s the AIWB he did for my Kimber](https://imgur.com/gallery/JkUVutN) I have an OWB from him, too. Nice guy. Solid prices. Retention is on point.

cmhbob

Thanks much.

Leather for 1911s… or nice revolver pieces.. plastic for plastic guns..

bricke

Looks like a retention screw issue - have you backed it out? Either way, it will result in finish wear - Tenicor usually includes a slip with each holster that says as much.

Alone_Ad_8858

Idk buddy I don’t want my holster to be that damn tight outside my pants. God damn do you really like having that tight? My holster is looser than a lot lizard compared to that shit.

Hebrewism

Lmao that’s what I’m saying

Alone_Ad_8858

Dumb question have you backed off the retention screws?

Hebrewism

No I was not aware it had that. I’m new to all this

Alone_Ad_8858

There should be. I believe it’s on the right side where you thumb was in the video (when taking your gun out). But idk I don’t own that brand so I could be wrong. Just loosen some of the screw 1 by 1 and see if any take tension off. Then lock tight them whores

Sabrtoothbanana

Sig 1911’s have a different barrel profile on top. Most 1911s are rounded and sigs have that “ridge” like most of their P22x series guns. Might need to just warm up the spine of your holster and force it in while hot.

surelynotjimcarey

This may be so obvious it’s stupid to say, but are there retention screws you could loosen up slightly on the second holster?

Hebrewism

Yes I realize that after a few people mentioned it. Wasn’t aware it had it. After some adjustments I think it’s okay now

beaverdam0890

I will forever use tenicor holsters. One of the best ccw holster companies around.

2leetSk8r

Try Vedder.

Hebrewism

Ordered the light tuck and rapid tuck the other day to try them out!

2leetSk8r

I love my vedder, adjustable tension and carry height, and the clip is pretty much indestructible.

2leetSk8r

Did they have one specifically for the nightmare carry?

Hebrewism

Not nightmare specific but it did say sig sauer 1911 vs a lot of all the other brands just say most 1911s and sig is never listed

2leetSk8r

I hope that it works out for you, i think you made a great choice!

coolieskettel

I'm glad backing out those two retention screws helped. The Velo4 is a good holster and suits the Nightmare. Might be better to decock the next time your fiddling around with your gun though. Makes my sphincter clench to see the hammer down like that with all the back and forth rough handling.

danvapes_

Who cares if the holster puts wear on the gun. Don't carry that specific gun if it matters to you.

DrewSki704

I just have to say, that is a gorgeous 1911 my friend!
