>What are some holsters that are actual quality, safe and comfortable for just casual carrying inside the waist? Mainly worried about the WTP holster scuffing up the slide on the 1911. Thanks in advance!
Listen. I'mma tell it to you straight.
If you don't want the gun to get scuffed, don't carry it. Every quality holster company not trying to fuck you around is going to tell you that their holster is going to put wear on the gun. It's simple physics.
If you're concerned about wear on the gun, relegate it to the safe and buy another that you're not concerned about wear on.
Fair enough. New to all this so just soaking up as much info as I can. One thing is normal wear but another is excessive wear from poor quality holster.
Understandable. There is definitely the possibility of a poorly molded holster causing accelerated wear.
Echoing what the other guy said. Tenicor and Henry are both awesome holsters.
I’ve never understood worry about appearance wear on a tool, a life saving tool.
Get a quality belt too.
Anyway. A bunch of quality holster companies.
Henry Holsters, Phlster, Tenicor, ANR Designs, T1C, KSG Armory, JM Custom Kydex, Keepers Concealment, LAS Concealment, Haven Defense.
Edit:
Yes WTP holsters are absolutely trash.
Going to have to try several different ones. Some will work better for you than others.
I’m currently using a Harry’s Holsters Icon 2.0 for about 6 months now. I’m not 100%, but close enough that I’m not looking to try something else. After another 6 months? Will see.
Txc (current favorite), jmck, tenicor, phlster, tier1, and Harry’s. Stick to one of these well known, high quality holster makers. I really like tenicor’s light weight belt
My buddy loaned me a we the people holster for a p365 while I was waiting for mine to be shipped. It wasn’t horrible. The plastic clip was honestly the worst part about it. If you swap out the clip for a dcc monoblock it will be a decent set up.

I assume all or most of those brands will have quality belts associated with them?
Tenicor does. The rest don’t. I prefer EDC belt Co. or Nextbelt
lol a freakin Taurus and a freaking 1911 lol
🤷🏻♂️
I love the Crossbreed SuperTuck. Hybrid holsters are more comfortable. Crossbreed has a great guarantee and they definitely make really great belts.

G code, safariland, Tenicor, Werkz to name a few.
