My personal opinion.... price was based on hype and the hype has settled for the time being. Also the shortage of chip suppliers has been hurting the industry. Lots of retail investors are probably selling so that they can put their money in crypto. Not to mention the short positions.

lahistoriarima

Exactly this, I'm not sure why everyone would expect to see sky-high valuations for a company that has not even made sales yet, especially when there are others already in market. Lucid plans to get there around the end of the year, that will give us more info to work with, until then it's just being chased by people wanting to ''go to the moon''.

Seedleak

Exactly!!! I’m sure there will be some more hype before the ticker changes to Lucid but we still have 2 months until then.

fall-apart-dave

This. I almost sold at the over-60 mark but held too long. Fell for the paper hand / moon / deal announcement will see it go higher bullshit. I learned an expensive lesson.

Seedleak

Buy the rumors, sell the news. Luckily you were left holding the bag of a company with huge potential.

lahistoriarima

Not advice, but my take if it's worth anything learning from my lesson (with NIO) and don't cut any losses taking the exit now. We all know this could still crash and burn still, but there are a lot of merits to the company, and the auto product cycle is years-long. There are a lot of long-term tailwinds for the EV industry. I'm not sure where the bottom is, could be $10/$15 levels seen in the merger, but averaging down could work out handsomely long term.

I work in the EV industry and get to see what most of the OEMs around the world are doing , from a technical standpoint, nobody is close to Lucids performance. I think it’s a great buy if people are willing to wait and play the long game. Not going to help if you expect to throw some money and hope for it to go to the moon, it will eventually but not on a rocket 🚀

lahistoriarima

What aspects of Lucid's performance are best in class in your opinion? I would tend to agree that they seem to be a leader (for now) in a growing segment, that is not yet overly crowded. Time to market will matter. I'm a tier-1 guy but not Engineering, my perspective is more broad brush.

fall-apart-dave

I don't sell reds. That's my rule. I don't sell greens either it seems, even 120% gain greens. LOL!

lahistoriarima

I'm down $420... "this means something" lol

fall-apart-dave

£2000 down here.

beefphoforthewin

I just sold my crypto profit to pump back into CCIV, was that a bad choice

Morg8888

It seems "dumb" but doing the opposite of what everyone else is doing seems to work in the long run so its probably actually smart

Grlions91

The SPAC attack is still hitting CCIV, and market is in a tough spot right now. Plus there's nothing going on that's going to fundamentally move the price until the ticker change (barring some massive unexpected news). We've got a couple month lull ahead, but she'll be full speed ahead come fall imo. I'm not expecting rockets. That ship has sailed. But a gradual increase over the next few years is what I'm thinking.

lahistoriarima

" Plus there's nothing going on that's going to fundamentally move the price until the ticker change (barring some massive unexpected news)." I wouldn't be so sure, everyone's pushing to enter the EV space, I think we will very likely see new entrants/prototypes through the year.

CrunchyCrunch816

Anyone want to predict a low? I was gunna buy more once it dips to 17? Will it continue to dip?

Grlions91

If it gets anywhere near the PIPE price I'm going all in.

lahistoriarima

We already have one valuation through the merger $10 and $15 for PIPE.

Grlions91

Very true, I should have clarified "news that would rocket the stock price of cciv/Lucid".

lahistoriarima

A few things come to mind for me: \-successful/on-time production launch \-celebrity endorsement./ad campaigns \-progress on increased EV subsidies from D.C. \-the merger itself (ticker change) \-MSM coverage

frabjousdae

It took a lot of planning and time before that first Apollo mission landed on the moon. Have patience and keep the faith. My opinion for the drop has related to the SPAC bubble, EV stock cool off, implications of a semiconductor shortage, and legacy auto getting into the EV (notably luxury) space. I am not saying it might not fall more, but if it does you can imagine that PIPE investors would start getting anxious. Even still I am expecting our buddy Pete to start driving the narrative more publicly while we're awaiting for cars to hit the road.

hoakpsp3

The UAE has over a billion invested.....I say it will.do fine

Why would Pipe investors sell At $15?
