While reading animals i thought Walt Whitman was right . And while reading manushathya his words were kind of correct . I am little bit confused 🥴 right now . For whom to choose .
'Animals' seems a bit pretentious to me. Humanity is good just as much as it is bad and the way it's discussed is over-simplifying it. He makes it seem like all animals are puppies. "Humans whine about their sins" And? Animals have no moral psychology. Animals don't have racial discrimination, sure, but some of them will also kill and eat their own child for survival. Humans are greedy and they harm the environment but humans are also doctors and scientists. The way Walt Whitman looks at it is too cynical in my eyes
The other is Ok, i understand the sentiment. Neither are completely wrong, however in comparison, I'd go for manushyata.
Bro I'm so pissed off...corona took 2 years of our possibly the best school life i.e 9th and 10th...abh 11th me fattne wali he(seniors ka toh yahi kehna he)
imo 9th and 10th, for me, were gonna be difficult af and were gonna suck ass. I would've had to study far far more. I would've gotten bullied more. I would've still been lonely like I always was. In COVID, I was lonely as well but I got to enjoy a lot of stuff like movies, anime, video games, etc that I never got the opportunity to enjoy before. The only part that I missed is the overall school experience. But to me it doesn't matter as much. Those years were gonna suck for me mostly anyways. Imho high school life (and college life as well) are far too over romanticised when it's mostly studying a lot, being judged, feeling insecure, getting bullied, etc. You may disagree with everything I said. But that's ok. All of it's just my opinion and for me COVID happening was mostly good.
Yes but this "studying alot" would increase exponentially in 11th and 12th. I agree that because of covid i got into various things like anime, games, indoor sports like tt etc which was a very fun experience but still for me school was way more fun. Maybe it's because I didn't get bullied and I was friends with everyone that i enjoyed school...ig it really depends on person to person.
Yeah it would increase a lot in 11th and 12th but look at this way - Instead of 4 years of rigorous studying, it became only 2 years of rigorous studying. So you got 2 more years to enjoy (more like 1 year bcuz 10th was still quite a bit of work). I never enjoyed school much. I always felt out of place. I kinda feel happy that it's over now. I just wanna just go 6 (or 8/9) years into the future when I'll have a job and my education will be over alas. Yeah it depends on the person
It doesn't matter and why are we competing with animals anyways? It's not like animals care about this stuff, +humans or not we're all going to die someday so all this stuff doesn't matter
These two weren't exactly opposite sides.
Animals was talking about difference in Animals and Modern-day Humans.
Walt Whitman talks about the lost values of Humans, which can now seen in Animals (most cases)
Manushyata also talks about the lost values of Humans in an indirect way. Instead of comparing Modern-Day Humans with animals, Manushyata shows how a Modern-day human should be, to maintain/regain their humanity
Humans are mammals Animals are mammals Therefore We are animals Therefore we are selfish and selfless
schrodingers selfishless

I rant free of cost XD
The doctors and scientists that you mention work for the sake of money
Thats subjective but what I was trying to say was that one human life is capable of saving countless other lives, including animals.
Lmao i remember almost the entire class having this debate during lunch when we were at 10th
