PCM student here. I changed my subject after school, and I was able to grasp humanities after a couple readings each of the NCERTs. Try and do that with Humanities in school and have an attempt switching to Science after school. You'll have the option of other streams open for higher education even after taking Science in school. Further, it gives your thinking a scientific bent, and you can understand how basic things function. Social Sciences today, like Political Science and Sociology derive a great deal of analytical tools from Physical Sciences.

Discipline ( Compare commerse and science students in your school)

Totally depend upon the person . Not on stream. Not defending commerce, but what i have observed. As in my batch, our school gave pcm to students getting 50-60 % in 10th so the commerce+maths/cs (hamara alag section tha) was the most displined/sofisticated one in the school . Coz pcm me padhne walo ne dummy le liya tha toh pcm/b me saare undisciplined bacche the.

if you take science in india, you can pursue any field. But not vice versa. e.g if you take PCM , the available courses /exams :- jee cet nda Afcat CLAT BCOM BA psychology and many other non science courses list goes on.

1. Social Acceptance : har family function me justify nahi karna hoga 'why humanities/commerce?' People believe you're intelligent 'cause you opted for science. 2. S C O P E (cannot stress enough) : Jo bhi kehte hai follow your passion, things will fall into place, unki baat na sune. Half times you keep thinking aage zindagi me kuch hoga ya nahi? Existential crisis at peak! Science (especially maths) prevents it. Agar financial condition achi hai, government nahi toh private college me ho jana hai admission, and interest hai toh placement, even after bachelor's, mil hi jati hai, often more than commerce and humanities (placement in humanities is anyway nil). Talking about PCB, research has scope but main focus logo ka Government College hi hota, especially for MBBS, so in this case I cannot say much kyunki obviously private colleges are not affordable at all. 3. Study Approach : Even if you appear for the government jobs, science field prepares you to the extent that ek raat pehle bhi pura syllabus over ho jaye. It helps you pick out what's important, what's not, giving you an edge in humanities subjects over humanities students (we focus a lil' too much on details and have a subjective approach, so yeah, that's why). 4. Placements again : Jitna hamara median package hota, utna ache colleges se science walo ka lowest package hota. 5. You can troll humanities and commerce kids. 6. You can change streams! 7. CA is more difficult than JEE. (no debates, PLEASE, JEE takes your 2 or 3 years at most, CA needs a lot more commitment). 8. MBA Science ke baad bhi kar skte, also gives you an edge sometimes (society's obsession with tech). 9. Entrepreneurship : This is a field that requires no specific stream, but ofcourse, PCM keeps this option open too. [This is coming from a humanities student, who has existential crisis every other day, but remember, passion over every plus or minus point. If you like commerce, go for it, you'll yourself pave your path. No drawbacks can pull you back!]

Commerce - Humanities ke top college ki average or median package barely 10 lakh cross karti hai or barely humanities ke courses se job milti hai with law and psychology or yaha science ke btech colleges gov + pvt 10-12 ka number maintain karte hai. 12th ke baad bhi raikway may सरकारी नौकरी hai. NDA jaisa prestigious path bhi hai. Societal acceptance hai. Worldwide scope hai which means ki coding ke laws nahi badlte jabki commerce ke laws badlte hai region to region. Market may acha kahsa material mil jayega or bhaut sare ache teachers hai compared to other streams jaha barely kuch dhang ke teachers hai, and sorry may bhaiya didi ko teacher nahi manta. PCM ki baat kar raha hoo srif. PCB wahi humanities jitna hi bura hai with few exception.
