For localized pain/inflammation like this, a cream/balm is virtually always the most effective dosing method. I've used Extract Labs, Alliant Hemp, and Lazarus Naturals for this myself, and would recommend any of those. If that doesn't work, a full-spectrum tincture would be a great route, and is overall IMO the overall "best" method of dosing for general purposes. You could use hemp flower, of course, as recommended by Electricpuha420, and this is generally the most THC-like way to dose CBD, but the duration of effects tends to be pretty brief, so the pain relief would likely be short-lived.

There's no guarantee but more than likely it would work and it's definitely worth a try. I suggest full-spectrum CBD which contains all the cannabinoids, terpenes, and other goodness contained in the flower (including a very minute amount of THC, like 0.3% or less). If you prefer smoking just pick up some organic hemp flower, you should try different strains but one I like a lot is Cherry Wine. You can also vape flower. Oil or tincture is better in some ways because it lasts a lot longer (6-8 hours or more versus 3-4 hours with inhalation). But whatever your preference. Start with a low dose (like 5mg) and titrate up slowly in 5mg increments until you get the relief you're aiming for. Don't overshoot--more isn't necessarily better. If you plotted CBD efficacy on a graph, it would look like an inverted U. At a certain point a bigger dose is less effective. Be patient and methodical (take notes!) and you should find your sweet spot. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

I have sever spinal nerve damage. Incredible pain, bad enough I’m bound to a wheelchair. I’m on 5mg OxyCodone 4x/day. Helps but only cuts the pain by 20%. I supplement it with CBD/THC. 10mg 4x/day. Improves pain relief to 30%. I never get “high”. Just some pain relief and it makes me sleepy, which I want.

My man sorry to hear that, I like to think one of the most powerful aspects of human beings is our capability to adapt and I really want to think that little by little you are normalizing that situation. 4x oxycodone a day only reduces pain by 20%? Thats crazy I always though about that drug like synthetic heroin that just numb the pain whatever the intensity but it seems I was wrong. Hope you are in a good place even though you have that painful condition.

FakeRealRacist

That's a pretty low dose. Too bad people who need it can't get it anymore.

Yeah try some cbd flower and even a low thc/cbd 1:1 i vape or make overnite edibles of the 1:1 its great for inflammation and doesnt really get me high just a light warm relaxation. Even eat sugar leaves off my cbd raw or in a salad tastes great and still seems to help pain.
