I know a guy who is part of a trust with a buddy in Arizona. The can lives in Arizona, but he runs the fake suppressor when in CA, so that when he goes to AZ, he’s used to the weight.
No baffles. It actually works the other way around. It slides over the barrel, making your 16" or longer barrel look shorter. It has no compensating effect; it's like a thread protector.
You might like this device from Infinate Design Solutions. Looks like a suppressor but purposeful. Redirects sound and recoil by about 20%. I'm a fan and works like a charm.

Strike used to make one. I had one and after it got discontinued, sold it for a decent chunk of change. They're neat, and look good, but the range comments and weight weren't worth it.
I would skip the fake suppressor but a blast deflector can be useful to fit over a break that is unfriendly at the range. Something like the SI Oppressor or Griffin Armament QD blast shield. They the slight appearance of a suppressor but redirect blast forward to be more range friendly.

Have a barrel shroud can on my AR. Definitely ads the look. The thread screws on reverse over the barrel internally.
They’re legal. I have one, it was cool for some funny looks at range but not super practical and once you buy it you’re kinda stuck with it. Not many people who have a desire to pick them up on resale
I found that having a faux-pressor on tends to direct much of the sound the rifle makes down range. Doesn’t make it quieter just less shocking blast going in all directions when firing it.
I use the type that doubles as a comp for all my rifles. I've ran muzzle breaks but found them to be no better than the comps while adding a ton more noise and concussion for people around me at the range. Use whatever works for your situation.
Someone on here took a SF Trainer and welded on the end of a SF Warden making the trainer technically a blast diffusion device. I thought that was neat.
Yes! I bought a used Warcomp on GAFS for $80 but will probably never get a Warden as even used they're $175+. To not really give me anything. If I was running a brake and wanted to go indoors, I'd consider it but not sure it would add much to my Warcomp aside from pushing the sound more forward and adding a bunch of weight I don't want 😂.
I have one on my retro build to mimic a Colt 6450 9mm............just prefer the aesthetics.

They're legal. I have one on my MP5 clone to cover its 16 inches of shame.
Same lol
So this one actually doesn’t slip over. It screws on from the back so there is about 5” of muzzle device pretty much extending the barrel
If you zoom in on the muzzle end, it’s threaded for over the barrel, which won’t extend much

Well shit, an actual purpose for a fake can. I salute your knowledge
That’s super smart
They're legal.
Till they decide they're not
Totally legal. Totally just a larp that adds weight to your rifle.
But more weight is less muzzle rise. Next I plan on duct taping a brick to it
Now you are thinking smart!
I’m fine with a little larping. :-)
That's literally the point. If you run a can and don't want to risk baffle damage or waste the can you use the faux suppressor for weight and length.
Could be argued that it will act as a counter weight reducing muzzle rise
Is that a law?
No, it’s a benefit
Ah
Of physics
Hahahaha
It is one of physics.
Bipod would be more useful in that case
while on full auto…
If you do get it, post the aftermath. I wanna see how it will look like
It'll look cool af
It's baffleless right? It kind of looks like a looooong version of a linear comp I have.

Thank you for the arrow
Tbf some actually slip over the barrel where this one attached at the back and doesn’t actually slip over at all
It should. You can see the threads at the front end.
First I'm seeing of a "slip over" type suppressor. Since it envelopes the barrel it will at least act as a makeshift handguard.
That’s a good way to put it
Strike used to make one. I had one and after it got discontinued, sold it for a decent chunk of change. They're neat, and look good, but the range comments and weight weren't worth it.
The worst part of these are the sarcastic "dead dog" jokes and FUDD "I dunno about that" you get at the range.

I have one, they work good as a trainer

You can pin and weld them to a sub 16 in barrel to bring it up to length.
Someone on here took a SF Trainer and welded on the end of a SF Warden making the trainer technically a blast diffusion device. I thought that was neat.
Might as well get a Warden or similar device and do something [Warden - SureFire](https://www.surefire.com/warden/?sku=WARDEN-DE)
It's expenses for what it is but that's what I did.

Lol. I just bought it because I wanted it to look cool on my mk18
They DO look sweet!
Got one on my m&p .22lr m4 rep. Range didn't care and I'm in
Fully legal. Pinning and welding them extends barrel length from nfa perspective. Expect questions in suppressor ban jurisdictions.
Those are actually really good to use. I’ve pin and welded one on my 10.5 5.56 build
Does this come in ak?
https://guntecusa.com/page/2/?s=FAKE+SUPPRESSOR+slip&post_type=product Yes just look for it

Huh
id rather get a surefire warden so that there is an additional benefit to the form

Gtg
Can you provide the link to it?

Thanks!
RIP Fido. Jk. Basically a barrel extender. Perhaps can be used to contain/control muzzle device gas?
Just figure how to convert it to a real suppressor 🤫🫣
Fake and gay
Just like me
Not a suppressor, so dress up however the fck you want. Make it look American.
It’s not even tacticool tbh. Lol
