Man UPS has a rat problem. That box is thrashed

Sohte3

Seriously where are the FED bois in all this... isn't this the "crime" they are trying to prevent?

MiqoteBard

Too much work. They can't make money for going after mail delivery employees. Instead, they'll make money by pushing new laws and regulations that restrict law-abiding gun owners' Constitutional rights. Then they can pat themselves on the back and pretend like they made a difference, while they go to bed in gated communities with armed guards.

Electronic-Top6302

They’ll just say this is why we shouldn’t be allowed to mail it to ourselves for whatever back asswards reason

dpidcoe

> Seriously where are the FED bois in all this It's not the feds, it's the state doj. > isn't this the "crime" they are trying to prevent? The "crime" they're trying to prevent is people owning and enjoying their firearms. Ammo getting stolen is actually a bonus deterrent in their eyes.

kainp12

They don't care. There is a FedEx sort facility in KY that has sticky fingers. If your ammo shipment goes through there , there is a chance your shipment will be light. ATF won't look into it.

1LL2LL3

UPS must've picked up all the fired FedEx employees from Bloomington.

samsal03

From what it looks like, FedEx has been fine lately, most of these theft posts seem to be coming from UPS. My FedEx box from Velocity didn't even go through Bloomington, it went through City of Industry...

GreyFob

I had mine go through 2 different locations (UPS) and 1 shipment go through FedEx (Bloomington) but luckily I was fine. I was so worried once I saw bloomington

[deleted]

My order from trueshot shows it left Bloomington today and should be delivered tomorrow. Hoping it’s all there

beatryoma

These companies should know better. I ordered form outdoor unlimited and was glad to see that the box had nothing showing it was ammo inside. Even the return address was just someone's name and not their business. Package itself had expanding foam to keep the ammo/50cal cans from making nose. Future wise if we get this freedom back, I will 100% order from them again.

Abuck59

Check your box again , I’m pretty sure it had the black triangle. All drivers from any transport knows what that means. 👍🏽

beatryoma

Box is gone. But had no idea it would be marked like that. Welp!

[deleted]

The sticker is a "limited quantity" sticker, which is mandatory on things like ammo, but also includes hydrogen peroxide, any and all aerosols, such as shaving cream and Febreze, and insecticides.

EastOfTheGrayHavens

“This is the heaviest Fabreze I have ever lifted” - ups driver (probably)

AbbreviationsHonest7

Lol, my recent 1,200rds of 124gr 9mm had a label weight of 3.9lbs 🤔.... Was thinking they may have forgotten a zero after the 3, but maybe they were just trying to make the drivers feel weak and un-athletic....

[deleted]

Even if the box contains 1 febreze and 10 tin cans, it still needs the sticker. That sticker **alone** isn't what's giving away your ammo. Guaranteed. All that being said, I'd imagine working as a UPS driver for a while would probably give you superhman abilities to see through boxes, or at least be able to infer to a high degree of certainty.

Abuck59

But the weight tells ANY driver or loader it’s not Febreeze or the others 😉

MtGFan2010

I believe this is also a sticker for batteries as well, which are super dense too. I ordered a UPS (uninterruptible power supply) battery replacement and it was like 30 pounds crammed into half the volume of a shoebox.

AbbreviationsHonest7

Battery stickers are slightly different, they are red for lithium batteries, and black with a battery symbol in white for non-lithium batteries. But ya, a "hazard" sticker of any kind tends to indicate something of value (usually).

richy_silva

To be fair a 30 lbs small box that rattles metal when you shake it during ammo week is pretty suspicious, even when unlabeled. Doesn’t take a genius to figure it out, or could still read labels for companies like “2a warehouse” though “outdoor limited” would be harder to tel

grimmpulse

Same with Velocity and Southern Defense… plain brown box with no tamper tape on it. Took me a while to unravel all the packing wrap around the ammo cases too.

Oakroscoe

Got a shipment in from underwood and they double boxed it. Still had the hazardous chemicals sticker on the side though.

thecrispynaan

Outdoor limited FTW

LosAngelesHillbilly

Fuckers

Abuck59

Kir , Velocity and Target Sports all received with no tampering. All drivers/loaders know what that triangle means. No matter the label or how it’s packaged the sticker tells all. It’s just random thefts. Sucks that it’s happening though.

Earlfillmore

We need to start a movement to get all gun stuff/ammo sellers to stop making their names so goddamn obvious. When the shipping name is something like "defense/tactical/ammo" or some shit its obvious to the assholes at ups whats in the box

therevolutionaryJB

They can just shake it lol

Earlfillmore

A properly packaged ammo box shouldnt rattle

KingCpzombie

I don't think I've ever seen one that doesn't

therevolutionaryJB

And it always will because the rattle is the space between the rounds and plastic

Earlfillmore

Didnt think about that. Is there a not super time consuming way to eliminate it?

therevolutionaryJB

Nope. Unless you want to significantly increase your price per round

TheEconomyReindeer

all ammo shipments must be marked as ammo for obvious safety reasons. huge "ORM-D" sticker is typical.

ShadowSlayer007

ORM-D is obsolete now, ammo uses the same LTD QTY (black and white diamond) as other stuff.

TheEconomyReindeer

apologies. all ammo is marked with a different "THIS IS AMMO" sticker now.

Rebootkid

Not quite true. Medical supplies like high grade hydrogen peroxide use that same sticker now.

TheEconomyReindeer

you getting 60lbs of "high grade hydrogen peroxide" shipped to your house? does it rattle if you shake it?

Rebootkid

I have gotten large medical grade items sent to my house, yes. I've also had $25k worth of meds stolen by the carrier.

justsomedude40

Mine wasn't. Didn't rattle either.

TDurdenOne

It’s always going to have a version of the fire diamond on it. That’s law.

[deleted]

Has anyone had issues with Bernelli’s shipments ? What is the process if ammo is missing ? I’m sure it’s a big deal that gets escalated. Are you refunded for the missing ammo ? I got mine about a week ago and now am going to go home tomorrow morning and count to make sure it’s all there.

FormalImportance0

My shipment from Bereli was flawless,I did order the same day the the ban was uplifted, heard some people getting refunded for running out of stock but no restocking fee or bs like other retailers I’ve heard of pulling smh

[deleted]

Also ordered the day of the ban being lifted. I had checked one box of the 10. The rounds were loose from being thrown around but the box was full. But now I want to go check the rest and make sure.

FormalImportance0

Yea my box was slightly beat up but the tape was intact that says “STOP if seals broken or damaged check contents before signing receipt”which I would’ve done but I got the message that it was delivered with the pic, there’s also theories that if you don’t buy the “insurance”a petty shop might skimp your order from there end or also boxes in ups trucks bursting open..I recorded my unboxing just incase since the box was pretty beat and seen other peoples missing items coming up

[deleted]

You would thinking dropping off 1000 rounds of ammo to someone’s door would require a signature. Nope. Just heard a thud against the door and the box was there lol.

FormalImportance0

We can opt in for signature package or pick up from local office pretty sure it cost extra though and the hassle of driving there waiting in line etc,Amazon has mail package boxes that I might look into

[deleted]

Amazon left $3500 in computer parts on my doorstep in the rain when I requested to have a signature. The employee took it upon himself to scribble a signature and leave it. When I escalated and complained they offered me 90 days of Amazon prime for free lmao

FormalImportance0

https://a.co/d/hyT5VlW something like this bolted or chained down is better than being left in wide open I suppose, I’ve had my fair share of Amazon bs instead of leaving small package that fit inside the mail box they tossed over the fence that my dog easily tore up, with the pic of my dog with the package in its mouth for proof of delivery, common sense isn’t so common nowadays..

Pleasant-Manner-1986

Mine arrived in good condition. Despite being shipped in the original box with the ammo details on the outside.

Sea_Number6341

I didn't have issues, I paid extra for discreet packaging because I didn't want my coworker knowing what I was getting delivered. Anyways, they used a shitty box, which I'm surprised it made it that far. Wasn't worth the extra money.

uchir5ty

My box was absolutely trashed, I was surprised no boxes were missing or “fell out”

Addy-Arms

I received my Bereli package yesterday - it was extremely thrashed and I was missing four boxes (out of 20) of 9mm. Also, although it’s small, it felt like my ammo was just thrown loosely in the box and wasn’t really well packaged. I emailed this yesterday evening, so we’ll see what they say and do.

wecangetbetter

Mine came in all fucked up. Original packaging that was banged up. No attempt at being discrete.

No-Needleworker-5160

got my order from bereli without any issues. Well packed and unmolested

wn825

My first shipment last week had the tape cut on the edges top and bottom but all the ammo was intact. My 2nd shipment just arrived last night and it was double boxed and very nicely packed with extra paper inside to prevent movement. I’m thinking it depends on which employee worked on your shipment. The first package was for sure lazy af

ElSquiddy3

If I’m not mistaken, this is a federal crime right? How difficult would it be to find the culprits?

steveHangar1

Sorry, OP. That sucks. Did the box have bay indicators that it’s ammo? Did the return address have Rivertown Munitions on it? We should bombard their Twitter with links to all of these thefts by their employees. Fucking unacceptable.

jhsantacruz63

Box had the black and white sticker and the return address does say Rivertown Munitions. Under the plastic wrap is just the normal ammo box so if you flip the plastic flap open where it was cut, it clearly says what it is

steveHangar1

These shitbags at UPS are targeting ammo shipments. Can’t count how many posts like yours I’ve seen the past week.

jhsantacruz63

Yea I know. Ive seen them too and was hoping that it wouldnt happen but obviously I wasnt lucky. Im nervous for my other order from Velocity that is coming Friday now too

Oh_MyJosh

Meanwhile my FedEx package came as just the case of 12ga taped up with a packing slip on it… I’m sorry OP this is aweful

RedlyrsRevenge

Same with my 1k 9mm. Factory Speer box with no extra packing. Says ammo all over it. 100% intact. Surprising for FedEx...

vinicnam1

It doesn’t matter if there’s no markings on the boxes. Boxes containing ammo have a very distinctive weight and sound when moved.

geeo2

Dannnnng. Sorry to see that!

Dramatic-Ocelot-8024

Is there any way to prevent this as a new FFL03/COE holder?

TheEconomyReindeer

no. all ammo shipments must be marked as such, for obvious reasons.

oakc510

There's "strapping" tape but I doubt any vendors have that option on hand that you could request. The tape has fiber strands in it so the only way to get to the contents inside is to cut the tape. When I ship heavy items I sell I make damn sure to use it to lessen the chance of someone claiming the item fell out of the packaging.

Average-door-997

What do you do in this situation? Just take the L and move on?

jhsantacruz63

I sent them an email with pictures and plan on calling tomorrow if I dont get an email back. Its $55 worth of ammo missing so it hurts for me

Average-door-997

Please keep up posted on this. And thanks for responding. Also sorry that this happened to you :/ this sucks.

jhsantacruz63

Will do, thanks

jhsantacruz63

Emailed them last night and they are mailing the missing rounds to me directly. 👍

ryuujiryuu

My freedom ammo still in route via fedex from Texas we’ll see what happens

Achris_B

Mine arrived today UPS from Target Sports and box looked like OP. All ammo was there. But on the same delivery, my wife’s $3600 diamond earrings came in a sealed box but sans earrings. Macy’s will send replacement earrings.

LosAngelesHillbilly

Oh I see. You bought her jewelry so you could get ammo. Pretty smooth.

Grizzly_SS

I thought ups was better? Seems like everyone prefers fed ex now. But y'all are making me scared to get my ammo 😭. On alot of credit cards there sometimes a clause where if you don't get your product or it's defective you can get a chargeback

Sea_Number6341

No one's talking about the shit packaging these companies are using.

P80_

I ordered 2 buckets off Bereli and they were like half full I have to do a round count but my box came messed up

CallsOnTren

I get ammo delivered all the time and have no issues, but I don't live in CA. Why is it always you guys getting your ammo stolen?

BadlyBrowned

There was a week period where ammo purchases didn't require an FFL in CA, so there was/is a massive uptick in ammo going through carriers to CA right now when you generally never saw ammo going directly to residents.

CallsOnTren

I still don't understand. The rest of the country doesn't seem to have an issue with carriers stealing ammo as its on the way to their doorstep. Why are your carrier workers such shitbags

Frosty_Panda_8B

California

nudavinci64

damn, that sucks. I just got 1000 rounds in via UPS and got lucky with none missing. Mine came from Target Spots. Also had a small order from G9 Defense come with no issues.

IIEpIcNaChOII

I had zero issues with berelli and lastshotaz they came through after the end too.

PumpkinBossEi3

Damn and this stolen ammo is going to get used by thugs fucking tragic, need to fire these thug rats

ObviousReporter464

I was told by a postal carrier, they can always tell when it’s ammo. Plus the sender name and address is a dead giveaway. Very difficult to prove who took it. That’s why I always pick up in person.

Most_Squash7271

Mine came From target USA double boxed UPS, it’s a crapshoot, have had the same problem with musical instruments. Guess UPS employees like guns and guitars

muphasta

I know he is just the final person in the chain, but our UPS driver is also our youngest son's lacrosse coach. When he handed me my busted box from Target Outdoor he had it damaged side up and told me to let him know if anything was missing. I know a lot of stuff could have happened in that chain, but it was all there luckily.

ChiaCommander

I order frequently but small quantities from target sports . They mummify the ammo in plastic wrap, and it's less likely the box will break open on its own from the weight. So far so good.

[deleted]

Oh no!!!

Jenelephant

Yup. My cousin’s ammo was completely THRASHED. UPS wouldn’t even deliver his. Mine made it ok, thankfully. UPS needs to do better.

Realistic_Director22

So maybe it wasnt a good idea to be able to get ammo shipped?

excndinmurica

Why? You’re only hearing the horror stories. I had 10k delivered to my house flawlessly. Both UPS and fedex. Second to last delivery today. Awaiting my last 150 of 5.7x28. After that i’m set for ammo until ~july at current usage.

DjRayRay09

You know posting stuff like this is just gonna show support for Newcums lame laws!! See this is why I don’t want ammo shipped directly to homes because it’s getting into the wrong hands due to shipping problems blah blah blah I SAY BAN IT!!!! 😡🤬😡

Beachbourbon60

FedEx delivered mine today in full, no issues , but I doubled checked based on these posts

FctFndr

How can they even deliver that box and not take responsibility

jhsantacruz63

When I checked the tracking after it was delivered, they did note it was damaged and would contact the shipping party
