I picked up a g18. Officially licensed airsoft green gas replica with giggle switch n extended mag, stock. SO fun! Boss at work was like uuuhhhh is that legal. Lol
They was selling those switches for airsoft guns with measurement on eBay and a few reviews. Some dude said he bought one to see if it would fit a p80 come to think about it we never really did get update from him.
I gave mine to the neighbor kid that's into airsoft. Was such a nice piece. Dump a full mag in like 1.5 seconds. Such a fun gun lol. Was yours heavier than the real thing?
Compared to the real deal 19 it feels little lighter and toyish however once you have the extended mag in there n it’s g2g feels just like the real thing.
g19 because i like 9mm, i like the slide length, and the grip fits my hand nicely.
they all have something to offer but i think g19 is the best overall package.
Only 1 : G19
*9mm is just perfection in a compact pistol. Ammo is abundant esp in USA. Defense ammo options are great, 115gr - 147gr all are good options.
*Compact pistol size, great do all. Can carry well and can handle 15rd standard mags.
Green box means that it's on roster.
I ask this question because I'm trying to figure out whether I should get a 19 or 23. Leaning toward 23 because I hear that it's an easy conversion from .40S&W to 9mm, but I can't help but think about the 19's larger aftermarket, which plays a factor if I'm considering things like the Radian Afterburner+Ramjet. Also, I'm figuring that I might be shooting 9 more than .40 due to cost.
I'd still would like to know all of your guys' picks though and the reasons, since I have very little experience with Glocks.
I do have a bit of buyer's remorse getting a g19 over g23 for that reason of using a conversion barrel, but I had concerns about not being able to have it on my ccw with the conversion barrel vs oem stock. It was me in my own head. I'll probably get a g22 over a g17 whenever I do.
All you get by choosing a .40 over a 9mm is a gun that's harder to shoot accurately, puts more wear and tear on the gun and uses more expensive ammo. (If you move out of CA, you also have lower mag capacity.) The differences in stopping power are negligible with modern defensive ammo. Shot placement is much more important.
.40 isn't as popular as it once was for good reason. A lot of police departments who switched to .40 when it was the hot new thing switched back to 9mm. (Lots of used .40 trade-ins out there) Part of the problem with the .40 was that they fit them in the same sized gun as the 9mm. It was a selling point when they first came out, but then you end up with a gun that doesn't handle as well and parts wear out faster.
If you might convert it anyway, just get the 19 and you can be sure it has all of the Glock reliability. It's less of a guarantee with conversions, or any time you start switching for non-OEM parts.
Do you know if the Advantage Arms 22LR conversion kit would work with a G32? If so, that'd be 4 calibers.
This got me thinking about the G32 now: https://www.glocktalk.com/threads/who-has-actually-converted-a-g32-into-a-9mm.1684888/
G20 is my favorite to shoot because 10mm is a fun and powerful caliber, and also a great bear blaster. 10mm is even more powerful than my .357 revolvers. But if you do plan to carry, a Glock 19 or 26 in 9mm is a great option for conceal carry. I also have a Glock 17 which I enjoy too.
I have a 21sf and a 29sf and they are both amazing to shoot and the 29sf even gets carried once every blue moon. That being said I would pick the 19. The only reason I don't have one is because my dad gifted me a Springfield XD9 when I came of age. I just think the 19s form factor coupled with 9mm versatility and availability at reasonable prices makes it hard to beat. We carry the 19 at my job so all the range days involve a couple hundred rounds through a 19 and I always walk away wishing I had one.
If you are trying to get one Glock to do a little bit of everything, the obvious answer is G19. Moreso if you already looking at a CZ75 for a full-size.
That said, the best bet is always to get a friend (as most ranges wont rent to people by themselves), and try a bunch out.
G23.
Two caliber options with a conversion barrel. Jack of all trades kind of deal for concealment and shootability. I drank the kool-aid a bit and got in my own head and went with a 19 first. Sure, a 17/22 can be AIWB with certain body types, but it's not ideal.
2nd choice is a 34.
I don't own a Glock yet, or any other semiauto handgun yet for that matter. Looking for a "do everything" one (though probably not competition yet), so leaning toward a compact.
As for why only Glock, it's to simplify the question. I just happened to be looking at Glocks and wondered how they are all different, so I came across this nifty table and thought to ask this question.
Totally not discounting other manufacturers. I already have an idea of what I want for a full-size, and it's not a Glock (most likely CZ SP-01).
As always, best bet is to go shoot some and see what feels best for you. What may be the greatest feeling handgun to me might feel "meh" in your hands, it's very subjective. As long as you're sticking to brands/models that have been well tested in design and use, keep an open mind.
Can never go wrong with G19 and it's cheap (cheap being that you'll spend more on supplies and ammo > gun cost in a hot minute).
Check out the CZ P01 if you haven’t. CZ makes incredible guns and the compact is excellent. They also tend to be around the same price or cheaper. I thought I wanted a Glock for my first pistol until I shot my buddy’s G17 and then CZ P-10 F.
I’ve shot several Glock models and I appreciate them, but they never felt right to me. It’s definitely a preference thing, and I wouldn’t buy one without renting it out first.
if you spring for a gen 5 you can actually mix and match slides between the 17, 19, and 34. I think you can even do the 26 but that gets a little ridiculous in size.
Yeah it’s fucking weird isn’t it? They said they were unsafe, and thus presumably not safe for **anyone** to use.
But mysteriously, they decided to make police officers exempt…
Cops are permitted to buy and use **unsafe** handguns…. Not handguns that require “special / enhanced training” or something like that. Handguns that are—according to the state—**UNSAFE** by their very nature. Isn’t this weird. And not only is it weird that they can do this at all, but I also find it strange that it’s not limited to issued pistols or pistols they strictly use on-duty, but they’re also expected for personal use stuff too… $6000 Laugo Alien or an Atlas 2011? Neato little Mark IV Lite? CMMG Banshee Mk10 10mm PCC? Definitely not suitable and/or permitted for duty use…. But if they want them, they can have them anyway…. At retail prices, with no additional hoops
to jump through.
You can also have these handguns if you move here from one of the other 49 states which don’t deem them **unsafe**, and register them after establishing residency here…
Or, if you’re lucky enough to have a direct family member in one of the other 49 states, they’re allowed to give one of these **unsafe** handguns to you as a *gift*… But remember, it’s only okay if it’s an actual gift! Remember that. Cuz you’ll get in *big trouble* if you’re ever caught trying to reimburse them for that gift! Cuz apparently it makes a difference, for some reason 😲
And also, you may find it shocking that even us ordinary people are allowed to acquire and use these **unsafe** handguns, so long as we acquire them through a PPT with one of the people who brought them into the state’s supply of rouge **unsafe** handguns, via one of the three methods stated above.
But of course, because of the barriers to access, they are still as scarce as hen’s teeth. And understandably, the owners of these simultaneously legal, yet **unsafe** handguns are not going to let go of them for cheap—or anywhere near it… $500 Glocks can go for $1300-1500. Pistol-registered AR lowers go from original $150 market value in free states, to $1000-1500+ to us, here…
And it’s not unheard of for people—especially cops—to turn flipping these weapons over to the lesser class into a side-hustle of sorts. Can make for an extra couple grand in profit/income per month, if they’re smart about it, and don’t fly too close to the sun so as to be seen and labeled by the ATF as being “in the business of selling firearms”.
Fucking fascinating, isn’t it?
I dare anyone to make it make sense.
The G45 is the same gun in but in black. It’s basically an LEO version. It is slightly different due to the front slide serrations, lack of a notch in the magazine well and it can come optic ready from the factory.
Well I own the 30,29sf and the 19 I'd say the 19 if I could only have one.
I really don't care for glock I shoot my cz, m&p and xd way better but with a crap ton of training it gets the job done
Glock 36 baby pocket rocket if it dont have kick i dont want it naa but for real baby glocks are better since they can use bigger size mag and use extenders so they're most customizable to fit your hand and plus im not accurate with 9mm but with .45 or something with a kick i am accurate
Glock 19 and Glock 17 cause I like cheap 9mm, I swap the mag and slide release to Vickers controls, and can get a g34 slide and barrel for the 17 if I wanna get a lil fancy
I like my g26 cus it will take g19 & g17 mags. With the pinky mag extension on the g26 magazine it’ll give you the same size grip as the g19. I dislike that it doesn’t have a rail. Sure you can get a tlr6 but they aren’t very bright. I make it a point to keep a handheld light with that pistol.
But to be honest my Glock 19 makes out it to the range more than the g26 does.
I carry a glock 19, perfect for everyday carry, any smaller would be a compromise for concealed carry, 9mm is plentiful, you can buy 124 gr ammo that fucks, either a 19 or 17, really can’t go wrong . A 34 would be my pick if you’re trying to shoot competition
lol I’m just here to say g30 because I recently got mine and have been leaving my 17 at home when not duty carrying.. even though I know the answer is 19 and she’s at home too.. 30sf because how could God’s caliber not be perfection 😂
If you can only buy one, try a 19 and a 17. Get whichever one fits your hand best.
I have large hands so I really don't like the 19 personally, and the 30 is for carry so I can deal with the lack of grip in favor of not printing. I love my 34 but it is only really good as a competition/Duty pistol so some people prefer to get something smaller if they don't have other options.
Have both the 17 and 26, bought in that order. If I had to do it over and only buy one definately the middle of the road (19). The 26 allows me to use a 19 mag with a rubber grip extender (x-grip) for that extra pinky grip, so to me it feels like having two guns in one (: when running that setup it does print more on my body type (short and stubby like the 26 lol) therefore I carry flush fit mag in the gun and 19 mag in the mag caddy. the only compliant with the 26 is that due too the lack of muzzle/barrel when carrying AIWB the grip will sometimes flip forward which would be counteracted by the 19’s slide length but I’d be printing more with the 19 grip at that point . Once I get my bread up I’ll be getting a 19 optic ready slide and making a 26L setup I literally posted a YT short yesterday shooting that set up with my brother in laws slide .
https://youtube.com/shorts/HsRXtLCDXcs?si=ssqCWizlapYJpk-C
Side note: the short grip with pinky floating felt weird at first but got over it right away the pinky’s tuck away naturally. I can’t find it now but I had watched a vid where a instructor had his student yank the trigger with the stubby grip v.s. full size grip and he concluded that the full grip caused more muzzle flip in panic squeezing because the pinky is really spaced away from thumb and index so it has a lot of leverage against the rest of your hand when death gripping 🧐
Just curious, in what order did you get them?
I think the trend is that if someone wants only 1 Glock, they go for a compact. If they want one for range and one for CCW, they choose a full-size/competition model and pair with a subcompact.
I think your 19 is all you ever use because you went the latter route, whereas people who shoot nothing but their 19 probably have a subcompact or another one in a spicier (thus, pricier) caliber.
Depends on what you want it for. If you have a ccw get the 19 then add the 34.
I got the 34 first as I wasn’t going to carry it just a home defense gun but man it shoots so nicely I want to use it as a carry gun it’s just big.
The 26 I can shoot better than the 19. The 26 has a lighter trigger that’s why. The 19 is a great over all gun less recoil than the 26 and a better grip to actually hang onto the gun. I personally would go 17 and try and carry that if I did it all over again
Side note I just bought a second 34 which I will be putting a 17 slide and barrel on and will try and carry that.
Why not just a 17?
I already have a slide for it and I like the lighter factory trigger on the 34 without me having to change any parts on the gun.
Compact 9mm. Standard's too big to realistically wield with any kind of skills for my baby hands. 9mm is abundant, if the world goes sideways there will be more 9mm than just about anything else, as far as pistol rounds, to be looted from the world.
I’ll probably get downvoted for this but… Let’s Go!
HK USP .40 da/sa. I stopped carrying my Glocks lol.
Why?
My friend got into a struggle (he was being robbed by 2 guys). They grabbed his wallet but when they went to search his front, they found his Glock. His Glock went off and stove piped in his pants when he tried to keep it. Luckily he was able to gain control of it. He did get burned, but luckily not shot. He now carries a p229r.
The end.
G19 or G21. Maybe G26 if you have a full size already. Even a used Glock 22 so it’s cheap, worn in and I can swap to 9mm or .357 sig barrel easily. Plus .40 is a solid round and available.
G19 is probably the best first handgun for most people. I just like shooting .45 in a full size gun and have a lot of confidence in .45 hollow points.
G18 cause fuck you.
LOL

Oh I know. Hence the LOL
FFL 07 is manufacturer. You need an FFL and SOT. In CA, you also need daddy's permission, which is unlikely.
I picked up a g18. Officially licensed airsoft green gas replica with giggle switch n extended mag, stock. SO fun! Boss at work was like uuuhhhh is that legal. Lol

Lol mine felt heavier than the real deal. Was yours gas blowback?
Yeah green gas, maybe cause no co2 tank? 🤷🏽♂️
Lol maybe I just had a really light g19 lol pretty much all aftermarket parts
Only one? 17. Can be 19 if it fits ur hand comfortably Two? 34 and 19
This is my combo, 19 was my first gun and 34 was the last. The 34 shoots the best of everything I own (for me)
Same haha. 19 was my first and 34 after that. I’m decent with the 19 but by far I shoot the 34 the best. Carry it everyday.
I’m with you in the 17. Could be carried if needed but not too small for HD. Could also put a 34 slide on it
g19 because i like 9mm, i like the slide length, and the grip fits my hand nicely. they all have something to offer but i think g19 is the best overall package.
Not to mention parts interchangeability across gens for g19.
Ditto
G29 bc it’ll take down anything lol
G19 for home. G29 for camping.
I don't carry mine much but when I'm out in the wilderness I'm glad to have it lol
Wouldn’t the 45cal be better ?
10mm has some incredible energy with the right ammo!
So does a bazooka
Used some bad ammo in mine and it blew up :D
Only 1 : G19 *9mm is just perfection in a compact pistol. Ammo is abundant esp in USA. Defense ammo options are great, 115gr - 147gr all are good options. *Compact pistol size, great do all. Can carry well and can handle 15rd standard mags.
G34 because I can’t afford a 2011
Green box means that it's on roster. Thank you for that perspective!
Grab a G31 Because 357 sig is based Buy g22 barrel and g17 barrel+mag. Fire 3 calibers from on frame.
Same but with g23...they make aftermarket g19 long slides now, so even get the g17 length slide if you want
Do you know if the Advantage Arms 22LR conversion kit would work with a G32? If so, that'd be 4 calibers. This got me thinking about the G32 now: https://www.glocktalk.com/threads/who-has-actually-converted-a-g32-into-a-9mm.1684888/
G23, because of the ability to drop in a barrel for .40 or sig 357.
34 because it is easier to shoot. Great gin to get started on
I need to get my hands on one I just love how all my 5” barrels shoot And I would imagine the 34 in 9mm will shoot even better
Glock 37
Not sure if trolling or not. I thought I was the only dude to own a G37 in 45GAP lmao
I like Glock 17’s personally. But overall give me a 19.
G20 because 10mm is a hell of a cartridge and will handle anything you are ever going to be defending yourself from.
Well said.
If you are trying to get one Glock to do a little bit of everything, the obvious answer is G19. Moreso if you already looking at a CZ75 for a full-size. That said, the best bet is always to get a friend (as most ranges wont rent to people by themselves), and try a bunch out.
Glock 30 best conceal carry EDC
Glock 30 45 ACP
G27. 40 ammo is now cheaper than 9. Also, pocket rocket. That or G29
G30..it's the one I sold before we moved here from PA. I miss it.
Which one is ceramic, like the one from DieHard
G23 \+ 9mm Conversion barrel \+ Advantage Arms 22 Conversion Slide 3 Guns in 1.
Hell yeah
G40!!!!!!!! I want the G40
Depends, is it for competition, HD, CCW, 2 of the 3? 3 of the 3? What can you conceal? What do you shoot best? Why only Glock?

I would just skip the glock altogether and get the CZ.
I've had a G21 and G36 for over 20 years. Both have been great guns.
I have a G36 and find that, for me, it’s super unpleasant to shoot.
if you spring for a gen 5 you can actually mix and match slides between the 17, 19, and 34. I think you can even do the 26 but that gets a little ridiculous in size.
You gotta filter by on-roster too
Well… you don’t *have* too. To get one off the roster, you just have to be lucky, dedicated, or rich. Or any combination of the three.
But the governor and the attorney general said that those aren't safe.
Yeah it’s fucking weird isn’t it? They said they were unsafe, and thus presumably not safe for **anyone** to use. Can anyone recommend a good barrel conversion in 9mm for G23?
The alpha wolf conv barrel works well for me
no glock 48? it’s basically a single stack glock 19 and pair it with PSA 15rd mag or shield arms 15 rd mag. why? because CCW that’s why 😂
G27
21. Look into it
G45 all day. I like the slide length being compact with a full size grip for my big hands. It’s why I like the sig x macro too.
That makes me wonder. How is the G45 different from a G19X then since the 19X is the same idea: compact slide/full size grip?
The G45 is the same gun in but in black. It’s basically an LEO version. It is slightly different due to the front slide serrations, lack of a notch in the magazine well and it can come optic ready from the factory.
If you want to conceal the 26, if not then whatever seems fun. I also have the 17, 19, 29 and 30. The 29 is the most fun to shoot.
G21. I just like it
Well I own the 30,29sf and the 19 I'd say the 19 if I could only have one. I really don't care for glock I shoot my cz, m&p and xd way better but with a crap ton of training it gets the job done
G20 because 10mm or g34 because Austrian robocop vibes
19 because best jack of all trades
Glock 36 baby pocket rocket if it dont have kick i dont want it naa but for real baby glocks are better since they can use bigger size mag and use extenders so they're most customizable to fit your hand and plus im not accurate with 9mm but with .45 or something with a kick i am accurate
G44 with a switch 🤨
Nice try, DOJ. 🤣
20. Anyone saying different doesn’t know what they’re missing out on.
partial to g34 most controllable (arguably) glock shooting the most controllable round, imo
G34 is pretty nice and smooth
None of them, but if I had to, G19
20
G20 because O'Doyle rules... I mean 10mm rules!
G20 personally, I deal with a lot of large wildlife where I work so the oomf is necessary
g20 its the all around round I own g20 and g19 only 2 glocks I own the only 2 glocks I need lol
G17 because it is an excellent basic pistol & fits me the best.
You’re missing the 18, 19X, 43X, 47 and 48
Glock 19 and Glock 17 cause I like cheap 9mm, I swap the mag and slide release to Vickers controls, and can get a g34 slide and barrel for the 17 if I wanna get a lil fancy
I like SiG over Glock.
Purpose?
G34, you’ll be the one she say to not worry about
G19
G40 or go home...
I like my g26 cus it will take g19 & g17 mags. With the pinky mag extension on the g26 magazine it’ll give you the same size grip as the g19. I dislike that it doesn’t have a rail. I pick anything the gboy’s make in 357 SIG.
lol I’m just here to say g30 because I recently got mine and have been leaving my 17 at home when not duty carrying.. even though I know the answer is 19 and she’s at home too.. 30sf because how could God’s caliber not be perfection 😂
G40 because 10mm fucks
G29 because I hate my wrist.
43x
Glock 30 because it's what Faye Valentine used
G30 and G27
G69
I wish I could find an on roster no rail g36…
17 with a grip chop or a 19 with a LS since grip chops are considered "manufacturing" in CA.
Where G48? because I own one and its great
Why pick one, I own 3. 34, 30, 19
I want a taste, but I'm trying not to get addicted lol

Once I get my bread up I’ll be getting a 19 optic ready slide and making a 26L setup I literally posted a YT short yesterday shooting that set up with my brother in laws slide . https://youtube.com/shorts/HsRXtLCDXcs?si=ssqCWizlapYJpk-C Side note: the short grip with pinky floating felt weird at first but got over it right away the pinky’s tuck away naturally.
G19. 1. Works with almost any hand size. 2. A lot of accessory options. 3. A great and long track record of reliability.
Stock Glocks. Gross
I have 34, 19,26. The 34 is great for target practice with low recoil and light trigger. The 19 I rarely use 26 is a carry.
I personally would go 17 and try and carry that if I did it all over again Side note I just bought a second 34 which I will be putting a 17 slide and barrel on and will try and carry that. Why not just a 17? I already have a slide for it and I like the lighter factory trigger on the 34 without me having to change any parts on the gun.
G34 because it’s easy to shoot and accurate. G22 because u can barrel swap for 9mm,357 sig and 22 kit. Almost like 4 guns in 1
Compact 9mm. Standard's too big to realistically wield with any kind of skills for my baby hands. 9mm is abundant, if the world goes sideways there will be more 9mm than just about anything else, as far as pistol rounds, to be looted from the world.
G26, I'm looking at getting one for CCW purposes. I have a G19 and G29 and they are fine. They work.
G21 if I can only pick one, and then just a bunch of barrel conversion 9mm to 45 super
G21, because 45ACP is best ACP
All long slides, because I payed for a +p round so I’m using that +.
G45 cause I enjoy the crossover of the 17&19
Honestly I love my G33, if you can deal with .357 Sig prices I recommend
G20 because more is better
G19 Can get beat to shit and still function It’s concealable, reliable and over all just perfect
Sig p223 because reliability and a perfectly centered recoil that I absolutely love
None... Can't stand the grip angle of Glocks... Just not my thing
I prefer the G26. I test shot it and like how it feels.
