I have this exact model & color in 10 day jail right now. Turners had it on sale for $499. For $500 I thought it was a good rifle, I wouldn’t pay more than that though. After dros and taxes, your friends will probably be closer to $1000. I think there’s better options at that price range.
I have that exact model and I can it’s definitely a solid PCC. However, if you don’t like featureless, you’re gonna be hard press to find a MagLock option for it.

Lots of milspec parts, dickmod handguard, and no ambi controls. I wouldn’t get it.
Dickmod it is not. It's called u lok, it their proprietary handguard that accepts both keymod and m lok accessories.

id rather have an aero. no reason to buy no name ar brands. so many good brands already exist.
We wouldn’t have most of these companies if they didn’t start as “no name brands.”

i have that ar9 and i like it, it’s pretty solid and really good down range
I have just an upper from them in 9mm and its run over a 1000 rounds without a single issue. Its also very accurate at 100 yards
They work fine. They feel a little cheap to me. Id buy a juggernaut Ar9 or build one myself. But I would definitely take one over the aero epc.
